I still need to figure out where exactly our player characters would stand here in the grand scheme of things.
Other than them obviously having to awaken the great giants and putting an end at the Sunder's threat.

Yes that'd be a good idea, letting us decide, but I'd advise putting some boundaries maybe? Just to be reasonable of course. What races are fine, what races not fine, same thing goes with magics, what type of tech will there be, etc;, just to fit the gist of the entire world we are creating here.

Vampunk This morning an RP I'm in just cranked back up. It was inactive for two months so I assumed it died. Anyway, because I've invested so much into it I'm going to jump back in. Unfortunately that'll put me over the limit of RPs I can effectively juggle. Sorry to bail on you but I just won't have the time. Best of luck with your roleplay.
