The world is full of supernatural and magical things that cannot be seen by the eyes of normal mortals. In the past this was not the case but as a way to prevent past problems between the two groups from ever happening again magic was used to create a special mist masking there presence. For years magical and supernatural beings have lived alongside humans going about their lives.
Demons among many beings had been severely affected in that they were blocked free entry into the mortal realm. The only way a demon can come into the mortal realm is someone has to willingly summon them making a deal with them. Once the deal has been fulfilled and payment has been made to the demon they will instantly leave back to the infernal realm. Normally only complete idiots or uniformed individuals summon demons but there are a few who are willing to pay the price for a demons services.
As for werewolves when they take their beastial form mortals will only see a wolf in their place. Due to this change they have taken to making packs that are smaller and tight nit to keep track of each other. It is considered rare if a werewolf interacts with normal humans on a regular basis willingly.
Vampires are considered quite rare since to avoid any possible detection they have done there best to keep their numbers low and as well as killings. A common trick though to find one is know the most common places blood is most likely found.
