She married her highschool sweetheart Keith Coleman when she was 23 and had her first and only child, Jana, when she was 25. She pressured Jana to be just like she had been, but Jana wanted more for her life, she wanted to see the world; she didn't want to be a cheerleader or a dancer. Kathey could never accept that. When Jana died, she couldn't let it go and she still hasn't. Her neighborhood watch group is growing, and she is trying to convince more and more people that Sheriff Bilton isn't doing his job.

Her own parents were divorced, and she was often talked about because of that. When she was 18, she had a kid herself, the father of the child her boyfriend, moved away shortly after finding out that she was pregnant. She raised her daughter by herself, who now lives in New York and is a successful doctor. Pat has worked in the police station for over ten years, and hasn't dated since her first boyfriend. She's happy as she is and lives for the community and her work.

Michael had always aspired to be a politician; or a politician of sorts. He was born in Mapleton, and always ran for class president. When he was eight years old, he realised the truth of his sexuality; he was into guys, not women. But in Mapleton, a gay politician was no politician at all. And so, when he was 22, he married Elsa Richards. To this day, she's the only person who knows that he's gay. All of his children were conceived through IVF. He has known about the drug gangs for years, but has managed to keep it a secret, because he knew that they were bringing in the majority of the towns money.

Daniel was born in Mapleton. He was always the cool kid at school, the sporty one, the captain of the soccer team. He and Elizabeth fell in love in their junior year of high school, just after she moved to town. They argued a lot, but when senior year came, Lizzy revealed that she was pregnant. Dan was supposed to go to college out of state and get a sports scolarship, but his mother had always taught him to take responsibility, so he did. The start was rocky, but a child made their relationship stronger, and once Olly, their little boy, was four, they decided to have another kid. Life actually seemed like it was going well. Dan worked at the auto shop, and Lizzy at the nursery. When Lizzy was killed, Dan lost it. He become his own detective; accusing everyone and drinking. Olly and Josh spend most of their time at their grandparents, and life has gone down hill since Lizzy's murder.

These are the poor unfortunate souls who were killed by the murderer rampaging around Maplewood. Were they as good as everyone said? Did they deserve it? Or are they innocent? How many more people are to die before this killer is found and locked up for good? Never, if Bilton has anythign to do with it - Kathey Coleman

History:
Robbie was born in Mapleton. He grew up in a predominantly white town, and everywhere he looked, he saw judging eyes. He was the only black kid in his class, and so he was picked on relentlessly. Life didn't get better after that, even though his Grandma had told him over and over again that it would. He had known he was gay his whole life, and by the time he went to college, he was finally able to let that secret go. He got a degree in business and moved to LA for while, where he started his own real estate business. After a while, he wanted to expand, and saw no better place to do so than in his hometown. However, once the murders began, he was looked at. Because he was wealthy and black, people assumed something was wrong and that he had to be a drug dealer, and therefor a murderer. Robbie thinks that by bringing his business to Mapleton, he can buy houses and sell them to half decent people. It's his own way of getting revenge.

History:
Elsa was born in Mapleton. She wasn't the most popular girl at her school, but she was beloved at her church. Her parents had high hopes for her to marry a doctor or a lawyer, but she fell in love with Michael Andrews, the local aspiring politician. He was tall and handsome and way different to what her parents wanted for her. They fell in love after Else carefully followed him around for months, and got engaged when they were 23. It was at that point that Michael admitted that he was gay, but that he still wanted to marry Elsa because he needed a wife, and insisted that he did love her in some way, but that they would only be together for press purposes. Eventually, Michael needed children to prove his marriage, and so Elsa provided them, through IVF. It was a cold process, and a reminder that Michael no longer loved her, and that she was simply a toy in his game, which was no longer about the public or what Mapleton needed, it was about money, and even he grew cruel. Elsa has become bitter, she has little love for her children, and feels like she's trapped.
