When an ancient alien race of engineers needed to to survive from harsh environment and life-support, the race created devises of alien technology the Guyver Unit. The Guyver Unit is a life support technology with enhancements of the body features. Its like a tentacle parasite being that is suppose to be the ultimate weapon too for few species' wishes. The term of word; "Guyver", meant "Out of Control" for a species- Zoanoids, they want the power for themselves. Chronos Corporation, creator of tech and electronics of different parts of the world are owned by one man. Chronos (or Kronos). The other alien race decided, after the madness the Guyver Units driven those insane. They were exterminated and only three Units remain. They were sent to Earth for and thrown into the lavapits, but the person in charge of destroying them was killed and the Units were stolen for Zoanoid use.
