THE SETTING/LOCATIONS:
THE AINCRAD:
Aincrad is the world set as the stage for Sword Art Online, and it doesn't change in this RP.
Aincrad is an iron-and-stone made floating castle that has about ten kilometers floor base diameter and consists of a 100 floors stacking straight upwards, meaning that each floor's diameter is a bit smaller than the previous one. On each floor, there are a couple of large cities, safe zones where you cannot die, along with countless small scale towns and villages, forests, plains, and even lakes where death is an option. Only one stairway links each floor to another, and the stairways exist beyond the boss room of each Labyrinth. The Teleport Gates of every unlocked cities are connected to one another.
THE FLOORS:
The 1st Floor of Aincrad is geographically the largest floor.
It is almost completely circular with a diameter of 10 kilometers (80 square kilometers).
The Starting City:
The Starting City, where new players spawn!
The Starting City also known as "Town of Beginnings", is the main settlement on the 1st floor of the Aincrad. It's the the largest city in Aincrad and can house over 6,000 players. It has large stone paved roads, surrounded by street-lights. Players can't be Player Killed (PKed) in this City because it's the Safe Zone of the 1st floor. In The Starting City you can buy various items, weapons, armor and even buy your own house! There's also restaurants and of course, the Teleport Gate.
The Surroundings:
Grasslands surround the Starting City, and they are populated primarily by boar and wolf-type monsters. Worms, beetles, and wasp-type insect monsters also inhabit the grasslands surrounding the Starting City.
To the northwest of the Starting City, there is a deep forest region. The northeast is a lake region. Players must pass through either of the two regions before reaching a significantly more dangerous mountainous region containing ruins, valleys, and more difficult monsters.
The 1st Floor Labyrinth is located on the far northern edge of the floor. It begins at part of a large 300 meter wide by 100 meter tall tower that is a portion of the dungeon that leads to the 2nd Floor. This Labyrinth has twenty floors before the boss room on the 20th floor of the Labyrinth.
The Labyrinth:
In the Aincrad, Labyrinths are tower-like structures with many floors that connect each Aincrad Floor to the next and are found on every floor. The entrance to each Labyrinth is guarded by a Field Boss, strategically placed in such a way that the Labyrinth could not be accessed until this boss is defeated.
The Boss Room of a Labyrinth must be found on the topmost Labyrinth level and cleared before the stairs to the next Aincrad Floor are opened.
The Boss:
Illfang the Kobold Lord
Illfang's First Floor Boss Room is twenty meters wide by 100 meters deep.
Illfang is over two meters tall, muscular, covered in blue-grey fur and has bloodthirsty, copper-red eyes. Illfang uses a large bone axe and a leather shield to attack, and has four HP bars.
Behind his waist, he carries a meter and half long Talwar weapon. Three Sentinels spawn and defend the boss from the players at the start, and with the depletion of each of Illfang's HP bars, an additional three Sentinels are spawned (a total of 12). Once Illfang's last HP bar is down to 1/3, it will toss the weapons away in favor of a Nodachi that allows the use of Katana skills.
OTHER FLOORS ARE STILL CLOSED.
Notes:
For the RP to continue fresh, I will have a time skip when we reach a certain amount of floors. (Doing ALL 100 floors will certainly get a little tedious.) This amount of floors isn't specific and the time skip will depend on how the story is flowing. To help it advance, I might skip 20 or so floors once in a while. I'll advise everybody in OOC before doing so and of course, all your skills will be boosted by 10 because of the time skip. Also, in OOC everybody will have an opinion on the time skip so it isn't unfair on others.
