Realistic or Modern Superpowered Prison Break

We are living in the age of supers. Super heroes and, more importantly, super villains. That's what they call you, anyway. They locked you away for being a menace to society. Those do-gooders finally caught you and locked you away in the world's most secure prison: Nightgate. It was built specifically to hold the worst of the worst. There was just one problem with keeping so many dangerous people in one place: if something goes wrong, it will go very wrong. Lucky for you, something did go wrong. You don't know the details yet, but first line defense is down. Freedom is almost within reach! But you can't do it alone. You'll have to work with your fellow inmates to escape, or tear each other to pieces trying.

So that's the basic premise to this RP. This takes place in a universe that would resemble that of a comic book (i.e. DC, Marvel, etc.). Just to be clear you don't have to have powers to be locked in Nightgate. You just have to be marked as a highly dangerous criminal. Please ask questions and help me fill in the holes that I do not yet see.

I was planning on having them be more like NPCs. They know what they're doing and may even have powers of their own. Some may be reoccurring and may even have a simplified CS of their own, but I don't want to have a faction of players dedicated to guards. I've never seen that work out well. Anyway, I am now free to get started on the actual RP.
