Min stared at the girl blankly, this girl I swear I should cut her nose off for being so nosy. She sighed "why should it matter Lexi, all of that is trivial, your grazing the skin." Min leaned in close looking into Lexi's eyes "you have deeper questions that you want to ask me, don't you?" Min gave a polite, but crude smile looking at her directly as if to challenge her.

Arnold had leaned forward for mangoes, but the bell had run and he had pulled himself back, sitting securely on Tara's shoulders. His shoulders sunk as if dissapointed that the mangoes were leaving.


Precious precious mangoes.


It was ok though, he had his best buddy he was perched on.

"You nearly killed my best friend out of sheer accident. I don't think this is trivial." Lexi said. By friend she meant Tara. Skylar...despite everything she had tried....still believed she was some unholy monster. She had questions on the necklace....on that particular but she was going to wait until Tara could use her abilities to see what sort of past it had before she confronted Min on it.


"How did you get taller? In the span of 5 minutes? How did you recover? What was wrong with you where you nearly had a seizure that was going to trap Skylar in some god forsaken bunny killer dimension?" You're too cocky. You're too confident. The Min I knew yesterday was bashful and shy. Lexi gave a wirely smile back challenging her as well.


I can't fucking die. Bring it. she thought. "What happened at the nurse's office? Where's Ren? were near death and despite how much I hate the fucker, he wouldn't leave you in that condition. What's going on?"


Her hand still held her arm as she pressed her against the lockers asking these questions.

Min leaned back and looked at Lexi "you know Lexi, a lot can happen in a few minutes. Thousands of people die on this planet, while at the exact same time thousands of people are brought into this world. It's truly a beautiful thing to be birthed into this world isn't it?" Min smiled at Lexi and walked past her ah, what a beautiful feeling it is. She raises her arms up and stretches, a smile on her face as if the sun was beaming down upon her,I have this body all to myself. As she exhales her eyed gleam with evil determination and I am going to cure this world, once and for all.

Tara sighed and looked up at the bird, "I'm stuck with you now aren't I? She sighed and saw just who she was looking for surprisingly...


Kriss was dragging Aidan through the crowd of people. He appeared to be perfectly conscious and he was even smiling in his awkward way... but unfortunately Aidan was bleeding profusely from his head... Kriss was dragging him to the nurse, now she might have carried him but Aidan had seen enough of her past in the last two days so. Dragging. by his shirt.

Arnold cued as if answering her question, He pressed his beak into her hair and pulled out something...and began eating it.


Atleast this accident meant he didn't hurt the teacher in the process. "Kriss, I'm fine you know. I think the nurses don't like seeing me all the time." he said and he did feel fine. He bled from his head legitimately ALL THE TIME.

Answering...nothing. Not one single question. Lexi felt like twitching but it raised her suspicions by triple than what she thought earlier. Something horribly wrong was going on here. This wasn't the same Min. This was an entirely different person. She sauntered off to her next class which they both had together.


She'd figure it out. She'd reverse whatever the fuck that necklace did. With a sigh, she knew there wasn't much she could do until Tara got back to her. Shoving her hands into her cargo pants she headed to the Dubois classroom. The last note they left on her was creepy...as if the two twins wanted to experiment on her or something. She'd have to shake it off and just focus on this mystery.


Getting into class, Lexi sat in the back. Her shoes still splattered with dried blood, her neck and face splattered as well...it looked like she came out of a horror film...but on the bright side she had clean pants and a clean shirt on.

Min calmly walked into her class and smiled. She sat down and picked up a notebook and began to write in it. "I hope something fun comes of today, I would enjoy the entertainment," she says as she continues to write something in her notebook.

Nialla rushed into class, making it just behind the girl who was being shoved against the lockers despite leaving before her, having gotten lost multiple times.


Her eyes immediately fell upon the girl who did the shoving, also in the class, with her face and neck covered in blood. Half horrified and half curious, Nialla decided to sit next to her. "Did she do that to you?" Nialla whispered, motioning to the white haired girl.

"Yes....no. Its a complicated answer." Lexi looked up and laughednoticing the parts of her chest exposed....which wasn't much....had blood on them.


"There was a training accident earlier today. I got caught in the middle of it. But as you can see....no scars."

"You have a really obvious tell, you know." Nialla said plainly, calling the girl out on her lie. "Besides that, it's the second day of school, I doubt there would be much of training exercises this early, and I especially doubt there would be deadly exercises at all." She motioned to the girl's chest and neck. "A hit in those areas gets you hospitalized, if you even survive. You shouldn't be at school at all, yet here you are. How, why?"

She stared blankly at her for a good solid minute before laughing. "I wish I was lying! Wouldn't that be a hoot and a half!"


She grabbed a pen and showed her palm to the girl. The next minute she rammed it through her flesh. Eyes watering with pain she pulled the pen out....the wound healed instantly reparinf and in seconds it looked like nothing was there.


"There's a tournament every year at this school. It was announced today so kids everywhere are getting nuts to train. That girl with white hair can create portals to different dimensions. She lost control and I was able to dive in in time to pull the other student out before it closed. I'm a dhitry liar. You're right....but this...no."

"Arnold that's gross! What the heck was in my hair!?" She kinda shied away from him a little but he just held on tighter and so she gave up to look at more pressing matters.


"Hey I know your dying but can you hold this for a second" Tara said as she shoved the locket in Aidans hands.


"Tara! I gotta get him settled first.... jeeze no patience..." Kriss huffed.


"Says the girl who makes me rush to go to a class She's not even in..."


"Now, why would I go to my class when by not going I get A's!... Besides your classes are much more fun!" Quite literally if Kriss didn't go to any of her classes this year she would come out with straight A's. Most of the teachers became afraid of her when she was a freshman and a clan a ninja assassins showed up and tried to make her come home. They aren't really afraid of Kriss only her family, so they want nothing to do with her to avoid them.

"Ah." Nialla said, her curiosity almost sated. "Except when you were arguing with that girl, you didn't sound at all like you understood it was an accident. Unless your idea of being understanding is slamming someone against a locker." Nialla probably should have stopped, but when she got in a truth seeking mood, it didn't go away with ease.

Min sat there unammused by her notebook looks around and stares at Lexi and a new girl in the middle of a conversation. Min didn't know about this new girl and was curious about her. Hmmm a new student? Well it is only the second day of school. I would ask Ren, but then he would know my location and I want to punish him for taking four years to find me. She continues to look at the two girls, now in a attempt to read their lips.

"Wait....who are you-" Aidan's eyes glossed over as the necklace was dropped in his hand. A blank vacant expression took over his face as it seemed he was miles away from both Kriss and Tara.


Ren crying infront of min. Min raised a hand and comforted her younger brother. Ren felt her warmth and was consoled instantly.


Then Min pulling the dark orb from her body "brother in case I lose myself, find me and bring me this." She hands him the orb. Ren looks up worried and surprised that she was using her powers"what is it sister?" Min smiles at him her heart full of love for her brother, "It's my true power, the one they thought they buried. Find me and give it to me any way possible." Min looked at her brother intently. Ren nodded "I promise" Min smiled "it's a promise then" she takes his pinkie and smiles. Every time Ren gripped that orb he felt the warmth and love of his sister a long with a twinge of regret. and a lot of hope.


Aidan's jaw hung open the moment the memory filled his head. He looked out of it as if in a deep trance. You could literally take your finger and press his chest and he might fall over. Drool possibly at the corner of his mouth. It was a good minute before his eyes returned as his entire body shook to shake out what was going on. "Oh. We should take this to Min. Can't be her whole self without it. Whoever....you are stranger? Min's in my class! I'll give it to her now."


He took a step forward and began walking down as if that was the right thing to do.

Lexi gave a small smirk as she leaned back in her seat and looked at the girl. Short thing. "You're right. But I'm not entirely sure what's going on myself. And until I know I'm not going to spread the information around myself. That's not good investigative skills right there." She said.


That's what this kid was doing. She was snooping her like she was a lead. Lexi could appreciate that. She used to LOVE that stuff...and then well...life kills you and puts you in a different direction. "And even if I did know more....you're a stranger to me. We don't even know names. I'm Lexi," She held out her hand.

Nialla shook hands with the girl, smiling as she did so. She felt a sense of pride as she broke apart the stranger's- Lexi's - lies. "I'm Nialla." She looked the girl up and down for a moment. She was beautiful, even covered in blood as she was. She felt genuine, despite her lies, like Nialla could tell her a thousand secrets without any remote fear of them being given to others.


"I can help you with your investigation, if you want. Two heads, and all that." She was too starstruck to say much else of worth, managing only to trip on her words and blush.

Trust needed to be earned to hand out full information. Lexi hadn't noticed that Min was looking at them, trying to read their lips to figure out what was going on. Min was still that girl that fell out of the sky during Mr. Elastic's class becoming Lexi's friend. The one that accidently poured monster vomit on her by slipping up her control...and having a light airy attitude to her as she bounced around from class to class. She was still that girl that was scared what her brother would get her into and looked up to Lexi like she was some sort of hero or idol or something.


Whatever was going on now....it was off from EVERYTHING Lexi had seen of this girl so far. It felt wrong. She wasn't sure what was going on, but Min was still a friend and if she could figure out what the hell it was without bursting her privacy bubble....she would do everything in her power to do so.


The girl shook her hand. She was young, small, blonde. But she had this tenacity in her, a fire that Lexi had recognized so long ago. Something familiar, but distant all at the same time. Eyeing her carefully, she let go of the girl's hand, leaning forward on the desk, her arm at the edge of the wood as she looked the girl up and down. "You wrote for your school paper before you came here right? How many blogs, reporting feeds do you follow?" Off topic. Severely off topic.


How much could she trust her?


There was this hunger in the eyes. She recognized that as well. Something like a lost lover eons back. "You're little. Small. Freshman? i hope so....because this makes it awkward if you're a senior or junior or something. But if you're a freshman...have you met a Rai Dae?"


If this girl wanted to help...maybe she could. Maybe she could help Lexi figure out what exactly Ren was leveraging on her best friend's brother.

Nialla managed to snap out of her starstruck behavior and shrugged at the first question. "Well, there's my mom's weekly blog, the Oracle. Mostly I got my information from her or her private sources. I'm 14, I do what I can to help, but I'm mortal. I get in over my head, I die."


"I met Rai, yeah, and a few others. Starling was another. Didn't talk to either of them much, we were all in a hurry. The only other person I talked to was this boy Ren. He was decent, almost. Had a sense of humor and breathed confidence, though apparently he isn't a student here, so the next time I see him he'll be answering some questions." She grinned at that, another chance to prove her ability to outmaneuver liars.


"And yeah, I'm a freshman, just turned fourteen." She said after almost forgetting, the question seeming unimportant enough to nearly ignore.

It was like looking into Mini Me. Lexi's eyes widened slightly listening to the kid talk. When I was her age though...that's when everything went to shit, I sniffed my nose in the wrong area at the wrong time.


Freshman. Rai. Ren. This kid might actually help her. How much do you tell her that doesn't put her life in any sort of danger? She had spunk. Spunk got you in trouble, but spunk was also pretty great. "The first time I met Ren, he dropped out of a portal...blaring music the flipped cafeteria tables." That I had to run and stop from crushing students. Lexi was still leaning forward.


"First tip with Ren...he can create portals...from different dimensions. Items, whatever he's pulling out, you have NO clue what reality it is coming from and what it might actually be later. Don't take anything from him. But what I'm about to ask you is big...and maybe I'm wrong in asking...but I'm going to do it anyway. If you can, watch over Rai. Kid is a gullible, easilly persuaded kid. I think Ren's up to something...I'm trying to figure out what it is....but I don't want Rai involved. Little bugger might," and probably already did, "accidentally do something horrible. If you find out he did something. Anything. Or was told to do something...it's extremely important I find out about this. Extremely. I'd owe you, I seriously mean it."


She stopped leaning forward. Straightening her back, but then she remembered something else. Something a little kid probably should know so they wouldn't step in a mind field. "One thing. Ren is charismatic. But he only truly cares for his sister. He will lie, steamroll you and pretty much detinate your existence if you appear to be a threat to his connection with his sister or his sister at all. Whatever he tells you, it's going to be laced with the agenda of his sister."


Who I thought yesterday had no intention of manipulating that. Wasn't part of this at all and just had a chaotic brother that unknowing was a danger to everything. She looked forward and saw Min looking at her. It was slightly unsettling.


What happened Min? What happened in that short period?

Min noticed she was caught, but she was able to piece bits of their conversation together. She turned around and sighed So another enemy to face and toy with, this will be fun! I will be a shame to watch them die.... maybe I'll keep them. First I need to find who this Nialla girl is. Ren, dear brother can you hear me? She decided that information is more important than her location she needed a loyal ally on her side.


At that moment a shimmering purple door appeared in front of Min and Ren burst through the door a worried look on his face "Min! where have you been! I was looking all over for you!" Ren continued to blabber on about how he couldn't find her and Min looked at him and sighed. She got up and looked at the teachers "can I be excused I need to speak to my baby brother." Min didn't wait for them to answer she grabbed her brothers arm and walked out of class. Min pulled Ren and made him open a window dimension around them. To everyone else there is nobody in the hallway, however Min and Ren can see them (like a 2 way mirror).


Min looked at her brother for a moment and smiled she raised her hands up "I'm back!" Ren looked surprised "what do you mean back?" Min sighed and shoved him "come on rabbit face, it's me!" She stared at his blank face "your older sister.... the one who you grew up with......the one who --" Ren suddenly hugged his sister tightly "nobody called me rabbit face except for you! Min my sister!" Min patted her brother head "there there fur face stop crying." Ren pulled back "like hell I'm crying" Ren straightened himself out and looked at her "your not gonna change on me, are you?"


Min smiled "nope I finally killed that pathetic girl and got my body back, I'm 100% me and I'm never going back." Ren looked at Min and softy said "so that tantrum...." Min finished "yep the last of that girl. Personally, I thought it was a pretty lame way to go out. She did try to kill me off before she disappeared, but you stopped her." She puts a hand on his cheek and smiles at him "and I thank you for stopping her," she leaned in and gave him a kiss on the cheek.


Ren confused looked at his sister "so your not?.." Min gave a "no, I am the 12 year old sister you've known since before I left" she smiled a him. Ren looked baffled "how... what...?" Min smiled tilted her head and gave a devilish smile "you don't think I wouldn't back myself up did you? I stored my experiences, thoughts and power into the dark dimension every night. That was the necklace you carried." Ren shook his head "you always were so resourceful sister." Min smiled and flipped her hair "yeah I know, I am awesome."


Ren looked at Min "I have to ask how did you grow? Your so much taller and your hair." Min sighed "four years is four years time is constant, or did you forget." She shoved him hard "My body here didn't grow because my mind wasn't mine! You know I grow with my powers! Why didn't you get to me sooner! This growth spurt is causing deep distress! Especially around the corpse girl." Ren sighed I knew you wouldn't like her. Min frowned "your right I don't, she is a danger to my plan. I can't stop her, I can't kill her, the only option is to join her." Min stopped for a moment "or have her join me..." Min smiled a evil smile and looked at her brother "go join her merry band of friends, keep them busy. I have a red haired friend to reconcile with." Ren nods at his sister words and falls into a portal, when he is gone Min chuckles evilly as she turned around and walked away.


While she did she noticed Aidan running down the hallway looking quite serious. What is this blind fool doing? Min smiles and shouts to Aidan "where are you off to in such a hurry Aidan?"
