Hello, I'm not going to put much effort into this current post (for I fear it will be ignored) but I'm looking for a group of individuals. Hopefully around 3, or a maximum of 5. We would be doing a casual-detailed style roleplay about teenagers facing the problems being supernatural can bring. No, I do not want a cliché kind of roleplay/story. I'm thinking along the lines of: telekinesis, clairvoyant, clairaudient, seeing the future (and so the list goes on). Sparkly vampires, bad boy werewolves and sassy witches won't be featuring in this roleplay. Sorry.

I do have a plot, but I am going to leave it rather vague for now. It's open for development and input from others. Constructive criticism is always welcome here. However please know the boundary between being helpful and being cruel.

The plot is about a school in the suburbs of a country (undecided), this place is very set on its morals and values. It believes that any attempt of 'witchcraft' is wrong, or any act that could be seen as unholy (to whatever divine being that may be up there). Therefore, these teenagers must keep whatever burden they carry to themselves. However, when people start going missing in the town and turning up grusomely slaughtered it sends everyone into paranoia. People are accused of dark things and no one can trust anyone. There is a dark force in the town, and it only seems to be growing. Can the teenagers stop it before they are caught out as unique? Will they be able to find or help eachother?

The idea is a bit cliché itself, and clearly needs a little bit of polishing. However, for now it should work. I'd just like to know if anyone would be interested in doing this style roleplay. My own posts tend to be around 4-6 paragraphs, depending upon what i am given. Yet, don't be put off! 2 or preferably 3 paragraphs will do for me just fine. After all, it is quality over quantity.

If anyone wishes to see a writing sample because of my age, please let me know. Yes, I am 17 to save you the time of checking. I'd be happy to give a sample to anyone if needed. I have no troubles with my writing what so ever (I've had plenty of experience), and consider myself rather mature enough for my age.

Thank you for reading, I hope someone's as into this as I!

This sounds amazing! I hate the sparkly cliched vampires as well. Count me in! This sounds really cool! :)

I'm interested, but if I'm a bit late (since you only wanted 5 people), I'll understand it. (:

(also, I'm new, but I've RPed other places, so...)

Edit: Oh, and I also already have an idea all worked out, so if you want to see it, you can send a PM to me. Sadly I'm too new to send one to you, so I couldn't even if you asked me to.

Interested as well!

Also age should never be factor that devalues your writing. I remember that when I roleplayed at fourteen I got so much crap even though I wrote detailed passages all the time. It breaks my heart when people discredit others because of age. :<

Yeah, I'm sure somewhere, someone has published a novel at 16 or around that age. You don't need to have a master's in English to be a decent writer ^-^

Eragon's first book was started when the author was 15. :) I think it was published when he was 17, though, but at that point he had the entire series planned out, IIRC.

But yeah, age is just a number, and I know people over thirty who has pretty terrible grammar, but still RPs online. I've never been told off because of age (and I started forum RPing at 17), but I have been mocked/looked down upon because of being Norwegian and therefore not having English as my mother tongue.

@Awesomehne I can't believe that people would give you grief over that. Your English is pretty exceptional! If I can speak the same fluency in French or Dutch at your age, I would feel very accomplished. I really don't agree with people expecting everyone in the world to speak perfect English, or even English at all.

Anyway thank you, to everyone, for re-assuring me on the age thing. I love writing but I always feel a little put off from the fear of not reaching standards.

Back to the subject of the roleplay, I'll create the thread tonight. It'll be up in a few hours, maximum, and I'll be sure to tag you all so you know when it is posted. I will, of course, go into further more detail in the overview. Though I try not to dictate roleplays too much; ideas from everyone always seem to make things more fun.

Do you all prefer character development in thread/posts or through character bios?

Thanks, I think the most frustrating thing is that I actually studied at a university in the UK (I went when I was 17, actually), so I'd think that'd be able to tip them off that I'm able to write English decently. Oh well, it hasn't been an issue here so far, so that's a good first impression. :)

And I don't know, I like being able to write and read character bios/personalities, but my characters definitely tends to live their own lives when I first write them. >_>
