Fandom Supernatural High School RP (Like Monster High, But Darker)

Becca's Bliss

Gamma-fied Glory
Halloween is just around the corner. At Salem High, this means many things: homecoming, a fall festival, the occasional prank or two — you know, normal high school stuff. But Salem High isn't a normal high school. Not by a longshot.

1895- Salem High School of Witchcraft and Other Magicks is founded by Abitha Lawrence, a young wizard, in order to provide an education to witches, wizards, sorcerers, and other magic-weilders without interference from humans.

1921- The Supernatural Non-discrimination Act requires magic schools to permit all supernatural students, given that they have physical forms and able minds, to attend classes, regardless of species.

1967- The case of Gomez v. Brown rules that all magically-attuned humans, such as wiccans and mediums, should be considered honorary members of the supernatural community.

2009- Salem High begins admitting non-supernatural students as part of an effort to eventually merge the supernatural and mortal communities.

The supernatural students of Salem High weren't particularly happy when they found out humans would be attending their school, but most of them got over it pretty quickly. Over the past few years, the two groups of students have coexisted with very few altercations. A few of the humans have gotten suspicious of their classmates, but none of them would guess that their school was filled with monsters, some of them being descended from legendary beings like Dracula or Medusa. At least, if the humans do suspect something supernatural at work, they haven't said anything about it. However, something is going on at school —something that could affect all the students, supernatural or mortal.

September 8, 2016- A group of students went missing: a werewolf and eight humans.

All teachers and other authorities who have looked into this disappearance seem to have gone missing as well. Tensions are high in the supernatural community. Some parents have threatened to keep their children home from school until the issue is resolved. Among the humans, a few of the more suspicious ones have decided to take matters into their own hands. On both sides, there is a growing fear that they might not survive through Halloween.

This is basically the background for what's going on in the RP. Let me know if you're interested and if you'd like to claim a famous ancestor.

I would like at least 5 supernatural and 5 human students before starting. You can have more than one character as well.

Now by family claims I'm guessing you're meaning a character derived from a well-know, powerful monster/creature?

@Nooguy Yes. You don't have to be descended from one, but if you want to be, just tell me who and whether or not you'd like to have siblings. For humans, you could also be descended from a famous monster hunter.

Supernatural Community

Vampires

A species created by a genetic mutation in human DNA

  • Notable features:

The top canine teeth are replaced with fangs

  • Pale or ashen skin, sometimes sickly in appearance

  • Eyes come in various shades of green and blue, or on very rare occasion, red (albino as a human) or violet

[*]
Powers:

  • Slightly increased speed, strength, stamina, metabolism, agility, senses, etc.

  • Greatly increased healing factor and lifespan

  • A few are magically-attuned but not as powerful as mages

[*]
Weaknesses:

  • Dependent on the life force of others

  • Highly vulnerable to UV rays (sunlight)

  • Can be killed by destroying their heart beyond repair

[*]
Diet:

  • Blood

Human blood is their main source of food

  • Each person's blood has a different flavor, but blood type is a factor in the quality

    Fast food/ Junk food: O+ and A+

  • Home-cooked meal/ Comfort food: B+, O-, and A-

  • Fancy food/ Delicacies: AB+, B-, and AB-

[*]
Blood from creaturae nox (“dark creatures”) will keep them alive, but make them sick in the process (similar to rotting food)

[*]
Blood from creaturae lux (“light creatures”) will increase their energy and improve their mood (similar to performance-enhancing drugs; highly addictive)

[*]
Life force energy

  • Only available to magically-attuned vampires

  • Considered inhumane by most vampires, since feeding in this manner shortens the lifespan of their prey

[*]
Human food (while it does nothing to satisfy their appetite, some vampires like the taste)

[*]
Common Misconceptions, Debunked:

  • Vampires are as likely to be allergic to garlic as humans

  • They do not burst into flames when exposed to sunlight

  • They can sleep during the day or night, depending on their personal preferences

  • They are not inherently able to shapeshift, fly, teleport, etc., but there are a select few with one or more of these abilities (usually adults)

  • Vampirism can only be passed onto a human if a significant amount of vampire blood enters their circulatory or digestive system

  • Vampires can reproduce, and if they mate with a human, the child will always be a vampire

  • They do not live forever, but when their growth plates close, they begin to age at a tenth of the rate of human aging

  • Vampires do not have an aversion to religious symbols, water, wolfsbane, etc.

[*]
Famous Figures:

  • Dracula

Werewolves

A species created by a magically-induced illness, which can only be passed among humans, mages, and a few subspecies of fae

  • Notable features:

Thick, fast-growing hair (those born with the affliction are encouraged not to shave unless willing to shave daily)

  • A select few are born with silver or golden eyes, but most have any eye color that is naturally occurring among dogs

  • After the transformation, ears grow to a point, fur covers the body, facial features become wolfish, height increases, limbs become slender and oddly bent, a tail sprouts from the lower back, nails turn into claws, and all canine teeth grow into fangs

[*]
Powers:

  • Can turn into a humanoid wolf

Control over transformation when caused by emotion

  • Forced to transform during a full moon

[*]
Slightly increased speed, strength, stamina, metabolism, agility, senses, etc.

[*]
Greatly increased healing factor

[*]
Weaknesses:

  • Any weapon, injection, or consumable substance containing the element silver can be used to cause sickness, permanent injuries (scars, burns, etc.), or death

  • Wolfsbane can be used to ward them off, cause temporary insanity, or kill them

  • Monkshood can prevent transformations, but extended usage can induce various mental and physical illnesses

  • Certain foods make them sick

[*]
Diet:

  • Mostly consists of meat from small game and livestock

  • Can eat anything dogs can eat

[*]
Common Misconceptions, Debunked:

  • Werewolves generally remain in control of their mind during transformations unless they are very young, have recently been turned, suffer from severe mental illnesses, or are under a spell

  • They will not come back to life if the silver that killed them is removed from their bodies

  • Most werewolves tend to be social people with strong family ties and a sense of duty to those they turn

  • Accidental scratching or biting is very rare, so most werewolves were either born that way or cursed later in life

[*]
Famous Figures:

  • Wolfman

Mages

Name given to different groups of magic-wielders whose magic has a physical form and can be passed on genetically.

  • Notable Features:

All mages are completely human in appearance

  • Wizards are very tall, the average height being 6’

  • Sorcerers have eyes that change color to match their aura while performing magic

  • Enchantresses are considered universally beautiful in their natural state

[*]
Powers:

  • Wizards are able to cast various spells directed through objects like wands and staffs

  • Witches use potions and other magical mixtures to create curses, hexes, etc. and are also able to access minor elemental magic

  • Sorcerers manipulate energy by chanting incantations and can access advanced elemental magic

  • Enchantresses can manipulate emotions and create false images, including a form of shapeshifting

  • Necromancers use spiritual magic to revive and control the dead or to steal the life force from others

  • Witch doctors use voodoo magic

[*]
Weaknesses:

  • Magic is often dependent on spoken words or use of an object, both of which can be prevented

  • Most magic will not work without access to one’s hands unless the mage in question is a sorcerer (although some sorcery still involves hand motions)

  • Mages do not have an increased healing factor and can only speed up their healing through magic, but they do have longer lifespans depending on which species they are

[*]
Diet:

  • Regular human diet for the most part

  • Higher alcohol tolerance

  • Less risk of food poisoning

  • Witches have a variety of strange and unusual recipes

  • Enchantresses are able to consume nectar and ambrosia

  • Necromancers are able to eat but do not require food or drink to survive

[*]
Common Misconceptions, Debunked:

  • Not all mages are able to perform the same forms of magic

  • Witches and wizards are not the same

  • Witch and sorcerer are gender neutral terms, and the terms warlock and sorceress aren't used very often anymore

  • Enchantresses pass on their magic to descendants with feminine souls, not necessarily those with a female sex or gender

  • There is no such thing as light magic or dark magic, and such terms are only used to guilt young children into following the rules

[*]
Famous Figures:

  • Merlin

  • Morgan le Fey

  • Marie Laveau

  • Rasputin

Fae

Name given to humanoid creatures with nature magic, including fairies, sprites, goblins, nymphs, and many others

  • Notable Features:

Fairies are the most human in appearance, while other creatures have more animalistic, insect-like, or plant-like qualities

  • Nymphs are pretty tall with the shortest nymphs, Naiads, averaging 5’8” and the tallest nymphs, Oreads, averaging 7’2”

  • Many species, especially nymphs, have physical traits resembling an element that they are connected to

Ex.: a dryad might have some or all of their skin made out of bark, or they might have roots or vines for hair

[*]
Fairies and pixies are the only species of fae to always be born with wings, but some sprites are born with them as well

[*]
Pixies are extremely tiny and give off a glow that makes them look like little balls of light from a distance

[*]
A fairy's wings disappear when they take human form

[*]
Fairies have an average height of 5”, generally ranging between 4” and 6”

[*]
Sprites have an average height of 4”, generally ranging between 2” and 7”

[*]
Pixies have an average height of 0.8”, generally ranging between 0.5” and 1”

[*]
Goblins have an average height of 2’, generally ranging between 1.5’ and 3’

[*]
Fae species have a variety of both natural and unnatural skin, hair, and eye colors depending on their species and subspecies

[*]
All species of fae have pointed ears

[*]
Powers:

  • All fae have some form of nature magic

  • Fairies are able to change their height to appear more human

  • Sprites and fairies can use fairy rings to trap or control others

[*]
Weaknesses:

  • Iron burns the skin of all fae species and can be used to kill them

  • Some of the smaller species are at risk of being squashed

  • Regular weapons, while not as effective or painful as iron, can still hurt, or even kill, most species of fae

Nymphs are one of the exceptions as they are also part of the mythoi family and cannot be harmed by weapons that have no enchantments or special properties

[*]
Certain plants and spells can be used to either attract or ward off certain species of fae

[*]
Fae wings are very fragile and are at risk of being damaged or torn off

[*]
Diet:

  • Creaturae lux often eat sweet and sugary foods, like nectars, fruits, and honey, and they have a mostly plant-based (vegetarian, but not necessarily vegan) diet

  • Creaturae nox have a more meat-based diet and some enjoy the taste of rotting or rancid food

  • Most species of fae can eat human food

  • Nymphs either don’t require food or they create their own food through photosynthesis

[*]
Common Misconceptions, Debunked:

  • The term fae was once short for faerie but now represents a variety of different species

  • Fairies, sprites, and pixies are not the same species

  • Goblins are not the only creaturae nox in the fae family, some others being pixies and certain subspecies of fairies or sprites

  • Nymphs are born with female anatomy but do not have a gender, since they represent inanimate objects

  • Nymphs are born through various forms of asexual reproduction, but are capable of giving birth to hybrid children through sexual reproduction with other species

  • Pixies are considered the peskiest species of fae, since all they do is bite people and cause chaos

[*]
Famous Figures:

  • None besides members of government and celebrities

Merfolk

A magically-created species of people with the upper body of a human and the lower body of a fish

  • Notable Features:

A tail resembling that of a fish, which can change into a pair of legs when dry

  • Eyes often, but not always, match the main color of a merperson’s tail

  • Piranha mermaids have darker tails than regular merpeople and pale or ashen skin tones

  • Piranha mermaids also have fangs instead of their top canine teeth, and their bottom canines are slightly sharper as well

[*]
Powers:

  • Water and/or weather-related magic

A family will often specialize in a certain area of magic, with the offspring of two merpeople exhibiting strength in one or both of their parents specializations

[*]
Piranha mermaids have the ability to control others with their voice

[*]
Piranha mermaids have slightly increased strength, speed, and stamina, especially under the moonlight

[*]
Weaknesses:

  • Regular merpeople have no increased healing factor or healing magic

  • All merpeople require constant moisturization and can fall ill by not drinking enough water or by not getting wet or using moisturizer for more than a week at a time

  • Piranha mermaids can only be harmed by items made of pure gold, which causes a severe burning sensation and drains their energy

Gold alloys are not as effective, but still cause minor irritation

  • The effects of this can be weakened or reversed with silver

[*]
Piranha mermaids are also very sensitive to sunlight

[*]
Diet:

  • Regular merpeople have a mostly to completely plant-based diet (vegetarian or vegan), often consisting of seaweed and algae in the past, but mostly consisting of human food within the last 70 years

  • Piranha mermaids can eat regular food, but require human flesh to survive

Seafood covered in human blood can be used as a substitute for human flesh, but it decreases their enhanced speed and strength and leaves them with cravings that can’t seem to be satisfied

[*]
Common Misconceptions, Debunked:

  • Merpeople only have fish-like tails, meaning there are no merpeople with tails resembling sharks, octopi, etc.

  • Merpeople only grow their tails when their legs absorb moisture, which means that if another part of their body gets wet or if they dry themselves off quickly enough, it won’t work

  • Sirens are not a subspecies of mermaid and are actually a species of winged people from the mythoi family

  • Not all merpeople have great singing voices, and it is considered rude to assume that they can or to compare one’s voice to another’s

  • Piranha mermaids are not a separate subspecies, but rather a genetic curse created by a jealous enchantress

This curse can only affect merpeople with feminine souls

  • The curse is recessive and is about as rare as green eyes for humans

  • These are the mermaids that are often talked about by sailors

[*]
Famous Figures:

  • None besides members of government and celebrities

Elvenfolk

Name given to humanoid creatures that once resided in elven kingdoms, including elves, dwarves, giants, orcs, trolls, and a few others

  • Notable Features:

Elves are very tall and slender, with an average height of 6’, and they have pointed ears

  • Dwarves are very short and stout, with an average height of 3’4”, and they have large noses

  • Male dwarves often grow beards, which they take great care of

  • Giants have an average height of 12’, generally ranging between 10’ and 15’

  • Orcs have skin tones that are various shades of green, tusks that create a large underbite, and slightly pointed ears

  • Orcs are also very muscular and have an average height of 8’

  • Trolls look very different from one another depending on their subspecies, but most of them are short and have a tail

  • Trolls also have slightly pointed canine teeth and a slight underbite

  • Most elvenfolk species wear their hair long, no matter what gender they are

[*]
Powers:

  • Some species can have magical abilities, but there are no powers specific to elvenfolk

[*]
Weaknesses:

  • Elvenfolk who are not magically-attuned have no increased healing factor or healing magic

  • Trolls turn into stone when hit by UV rays, making it possible to kill or injure them simply by breaking them in the right place

[*]
Diet:

  • Regular human diet, with variations in recipes and food preferences between each species

[*]
Common Misconceptions, Debunked:

  • Elvenfolk was simply a term used to describe all subjects within an elven kingdom and was never meant to apply strictly to elves

  • “Giants” are technically dwarf giants, but true giants went extinct hundreds of years ago

  • Very few creaturae nox within the elvenfolk community actually ate humans, and the practice is almost unheard of today

  • Elvenfolk had no quarrels among the different species and did not actively seek war with humans, but they were skilled fighters and some of them enjoyed the competitiveness of war

[*]
Famous Figures:

  • None besides members of government and celebrities

Homo Hispidus

Large, hairy beings that are genetically similar to primitive humans

  • Notable Features:

    Average height of 9’

  • Look somewhat like apes

  • Large foreheads

  • Long limbs, with large hands and feet

  • Sasquatches have black or tan faces and brown or black fur

  • Yetis have pinkish or black faces and white fur

[*]
Powers:

  • None

[*]
Weaknesses:

  • Homo hispidus have no increased healing factor or healing magic

  • Their brains aren’t quite as evolved, so they struggle intellectually

[*]
Diet:

  • Raw fruits and vegetables

  • A few eat insects and other bugs

  • Can eat human food, but only in small amounts because it upsets their stomach

[*]
Common Misconceptions, Debunked:

  • Homo hispidus are not savage creatures and are actually quite gentle unless provoked

  • Homo hispidus live in large family groups in well-hidden areas, so the ones that humans occasionally run into are either scouting for a new hiding spot, guarding something they care about, or they’re just rebellious teenagers trying to prove something

  • Bigfoot is a specific sasquatch, so other sasquatches don’t like being called “bigfeet” or being mistaken for Bigfoot

Homo hispidus didn’t even start using traditional naming conventions until 45 years ago, so “Bigfoot” was more of a nickname for that specific sasquatch before he adopted it as his actual name

Sasquatches now tend to have names similar to those of various Native American tribes, while yetis’ names are derived from the many languages spoken in regions near the Himalayas

[*]
Homo hispidus do not eat humans, or any animals for that matter, viewing it as morally wrong

[*]
Famous Figures:

  • Bigfoot

  • The Abominable Snowman

Mythoi

A subgroup of creatures that exist in a specific country’s mythology and have almost nothing in common with other species in this subgroup

  • Weaknesses:

All mythoi can be killed by enchanted weapons

[*]
Famous Figures:

  • Too many to list

Personam Mortuus

Embodiments of death, including ghosts, ghouls, and zombies.

  • Notable features:

Ghosts look like themselves when they were alive

  • Ghouls look like themselves the moment they died

  • Zombies look like themselves the moment they were reanimated

[*]
Powers:

  • Ghouls can make themselves look scarier and possess people and objects

  • Ghosts and ghouls can both turn invisible and pass through objects

  • Ghosts aren’t able to touch objects, but they have the ability to make their presence known by spreading their aura over something they had strong emotional connections to

  • Some mummies have a strong connection to their gods and can access their magic

[*]
Weaknesses:

  • Ghosts and ghouls can be forced into the afterlife if an exorcism is done properly

  • Ghosts and ghouls can be trapped within any hollow object lined with ectoplasm

  • Ghosts cannot be heard by the living

  • Zombies can be killed by destroying their brains

Since mummies have all their internal organs removed, a specific spell is required to return their souls to the afterlife

[*]
Most zombies move slowly, either as a side effect of not having a soul or from their state of rigor mortis not completely fading away

[*]
Diet:

  • Most personam mortuus don’t eat anything, but savage zombies will resort to cannibalism

[*]
Common Misconceptions, Debunked:

  • Ghosts and ghouls are not the same

Ghosts are creatures who died normally, but had unfinished business

  • Ghouls also have unfinished business, but died much more gruesome deaths

[*]
Most ghosts choose to stay invisible because they can’t communicate with the living or because they don’t need people to be aware of them to complete their unfinished business

  • In fact, the majority of ghosts with unfinished business just want to watch over a loved one for a while or something simple like that

[*]
Mummies are a type of zombie, but instead of a reanimation spell, they require a resurrection spell, which returns their soul to them and slowly rebuilds their body until they are alive again

[*]
Other than mummies, zombies can be reanimated by either voodoo magic or basic necromancy

  • Zombies generally serve as henchmen of sorts to the mage that reanimated them

If the mage loses control of the zombie, that’s when it becomes a primitive flesh-eating creature, because it knows that it’s not complete and wants to connect itself to life

[*]
Zombies can only be created through magic, so being bitten by a zombie won’t turn you into one

[*]
Famous Figures:

  • Bloody Mary

  • Drury Lane Ghost

  • The Bell Witch

Omnium Gatherum

Creatures that don’t fit into any established categories and don’t have a large enough population to be considered their own species, which includes hybrids

  • Famous Figures:

    Frankenstein’s Monster

  • Dr. Jekyll/ Mr. Hyde

  • Boogeyman

  • Creature from the Black Lagoon

  • Invisible Man

  • Godzilla

  • Leeds Devil

Magically-attuned Humans

Magic-wielding humans whose magic either doesn’t have a physical form or cannot be passed on genetically

  • Powers:

Wiccans practice a spiritual form of magic called wicca

  • Mediums can communicate with ghosts and can see ghosts and ghouls that are invisible

  • Magicians are able to cast various spells directed through objects like wands and staffs

  • Alchemists practice a scientific form of magic known as alchemy

[*]
Weaknesses:

  • Magic is often dependent on spoken words or use of an object, both of which can be prevented

  • Most magic will not work without access to one’s hands

  • Humans do not have an increased healing factor, so they can only speed up their healing through magic

[*]
Common Misconceptions, Debunked:

  • Magicians, although very similar to wizards, have weaker magic, which is not passed down genetically

  • Empaths are technically considered magically-attuned, but they are too common and their connection to magic is too weak for supernatural creatures to risk exposing themselves to them

[*]
Famous Figures:

  • None besides members of government and celebrities

Supernatural Organizations

Supernatural United Nations (SUN)

An organization of supernatural creatures from all around the world that make decisions for the rest of the supernatural community, sometimes even serving as a higher court

Friends of Frankenstein Foundation (FFF)

An organization that provides aid and/or relocation to any supernatural creature in an unsafe situation or environment

Sanctuary for Wayward Creatures (SWC)

A chain of mental health institutes that are capable of handling supernatural creatures that need more than just therapy

Emergency Aid for Severely Injured Creatures (EASIC)

A chain of hospitals that sends out specially trained healers to deal with more life-threatening injuries

Jackson Havens

A chain of foster homes for young supernatural creatures

New Homes for Troubled Children (NHTC)

A branch of Jackson Havens that specializes in taking care of more dangerous or misunderstood children and finding families that are equipped to take care of them

Bensen’s Organization for the Betterment of Life After Death (BOBLAD)

An organization, affectionately called “Bobby”, that specializes in helping Personam Mortuus in any way they can, for example: helping ghosts find mediums, providing safe havens or fake priests for ghosts and ghouls that are at risk of being exorcised, removing reanimation spells from zombies, or even helping mummies adjust to life in the modern world

Supernatural - Human Relations (SHR)

A department that specializes in dealing with humans, whether it’s by communicating with their government, wiping their memories, or making them a legal member of the supernatural community

Supernatural Cultural Fun Facts

  • Most supernatural creatures only lived in a certain part of the world up until a couple hundred years ago, and much like it has become a melting pot for different races, the United States currently boasts the most diverse population of supernatural creatures in the world

  • While speciesism exists within the supernatural community, it isn’t very common, since most supernatural creatures have more contempt toward humans than each other

Speciesist slurs are considered hateful and are not allowed at school

Ex.: bloodsucker (vampires); mutt, dog, b*tch (werewolves); undead, living dead (vampires and zombies); midget, hobbit (dwarves); pixie (fairies); fish-breath, fish-feet, fish-face, fish-*anything* (mermaids); gremlin, toad (goblins); monster (any supernatural creature that is not human-passing)

“Monster”, like many slurs in human society, has been attempted to be reclaimed by the younger generations, so that it loses its negative connotation

[*]
Speciesist jokes are considered funny and taken in a joking manner as long as they don’t go too far, but are frowned upon at school

  • Ex. of okay jokes: Why don’t vampires make good politicians? Because they’re afraid of the SUN; What’s a werewolf’s favorite flower? A nighthowler.

  • Ex. of bad jokes: What has two eyes but still can’t read? Polyphemus with glasses; What nationality do piranha mermaids prefer to date? I don’t know, but I hear they like Italian.

[*]
Interspecies relationships aren’t usually frowned upon, but having children in such a relationship is, due to the unpredictable nature of hybrid children

[*]
The supernatural community tends to be more understanding of SAGA (LGBTQ+) and racial issues than humans

[*]
Movies and tv shows depicting supernatural creatures are generally considered highly offensive to older generations, but laughed at by younger generations

[*]
Elvenfolk are very protective of each other and have the most negative feelings towards humans, since humans were responsible for the extinction of giants and the near-extinction of orcs, a species which remains endangered to this day

[*]
Places that are catered to all supernatural creatures are always required to have at least one healer in their staff, at least 20 feet of space between the floor and the ceiling, tinted windows, and a bunker room for emergencies

[*]
Some of the stranger items catered to supernatural creatures are disguised so that they can be used without drawing suspicion from humans

  • Ex.: store-bought blood can be bought to look like a juice or a sauce

[*]
A typical first aid kit includes bandages, a needle and thread for stitches, basic herbs and potions, an epi-pen, a bottle of water, a vial of blood, silver, tranquilizer darts, and ambrosia

[*]
Halloween is a big deal among most of the supernatural community, and they take pride in throwing the best parties and festivals

[*]
Places that cater to both supernatural creatures and humans are required to paint the bottom left corner of their welcome mat black, to stain the same corner a light blue on all their windows, and to have a sublevel for the supernatural creatures, which can be accessed by asking for the manager and giving them a white flower for “always being so nice”

[*]
Supernatural creatures are always asked to keep a lookout for humans that show the potential for magic, so they can be made a member of the supernatural community and sworn to secrecy before they draw too much attention to themselves

[*]
A human can only become a member of the supernatural community through marriage,  adoption, or giving birth to a supernatural creature, being requested to join the community by a supernatural creature who assumes responsibility for them, or by being magically-attuned

Salem High

  • Located near Salem Woods in Salem, Massachusetts

  • Includes three stories and one sublevel

The sublevel contains classes for students that don’t look human with simple illusion magic, mostly giants, sprites, homo hispidus, and goblins because of the extremity of their height differences, or students whose parents requested that they be kept away from humans, and it also contains a small cafeteria and gymnasium

This level can be accessed by a secret trapdoor outside the school

[*]
The first floor contains a large dining pavilion, a gymnasium, an indoor pool, the main office, the apothecary’s (nurse’s) room, a multi-purpose room, and a theatre

  • There are separate sports teams for students that don’t look human or can only play at night

[*]
The second floor contains basic educational and elective classes for all students

[*]
The third floor contains specialized classes for supernatural students only

[*]
Students can choose to live on campus in either of the two co-ed dormitory buildings, one of which is for supernatural students only, or they can stay at home

  • Freshmen and sophomores can room together and share a room with three other students

  • Juniors share a room with two other students

  • Seniors share a room with only one other student

[*]
Students are asked to customize a class ring as part of the enrollment process and are required to keep it on at all times

  • This ring helps disguise the supernatural students as normal human beings

[*]
Classes are given in a block schedule and night classes are offered for students who feel the need to request them

Humans

While most humans, both staff and students, are completely oblivious to the school’s secrets, there are a few humans that have gotten suspicious or are completely certain that there’s something off about everything that happens at this school

  • The Conspiracy Club is a detective club of sorts, where students discuss the strange goings-on at this school

This club was not accepted as an official school club by administration, which only further fueled suspicions

[*]
The Hunters are a group of students, some of them descended from monster hunters, who are convinced that at least some of the students at the school aren’t human

  • All members of this group either hate supernatural creatures or are afraid of them, but the goal of the group remains undecided, since some people simply want to expose their fellow students, while others wish to kidnap them and run experiments on them, torture them for answers, or just kill them

  • To join this group, one must be invited to it and do a task of the group’s choosing for proof of loyalty

There may be species that did not get mentioned here. For example, I did not mention leprechauns, gnomes, dragons, yowies, or demons. If you would like to make a character whose species is not listed here, please ask me first. I might not have remembered to add the creature here. I might have gotten lazy and just not mentioned them. However, not every species, on or off this list is playable. Pixies are mindless pests who only seek to create chaos, unicorns and zombies don’t have the minds required for attending classes, and ghosts and ghouls can only be faculty due to their lack of physical forms. Some species are even endangered or extinct. Please feel free to ask me any questions, because unfortunately, I didn’t have the time or energy to write about every single supernatural character to ever exist. If you would like to play an NPC, pre-existing character, or descendant of a pre-existing character, please ask me before creating a profile. If you wish to play a teacher, you can teach no more than two educational classes, and no more than three classes total. Clubs and sports teams will be created as we go along based on your requests. Leadership positions for the Conspiracy Club and the Hunters are open and will need to be requested in your character profiles. These positions will be assigned based on whose character I think is the best fit for them.

Everything should be fine now. I'm going to make a character creation topic once I have access to a computer, but feel free to start working on profiles now. I still need quite a few posts before I can make a hosted project, so until then, feel free to ask me questions and stuff.
