Viona

Viona was quite happy to hear her mothers words of assurance. "ill call an uber right away then!." she quicklt got her phone out and ordered one. She used ubers for time to time. Though she disliked paying extra for the drivers marked with the "i dont ask questions" tag. It was worth it. Much better to pay an extra 10 dollars then deal with the driver asking if you were a power ranger. "honestly mother i would eat anything at this point. My cooking skills have scarcely improved since you were last here. So my diets consist entirely of Tv dinners and fruits and veggies the scientists drop off. Last time i tried to cook i set a grilled cheese on fire....." she admitted looking away. She would have loved to bake sweets for herself. But even she feared the outcome of that kitchen attempt. She knew how to use the microwave and that was good enough for her. But enough of the the horrendous horror stories of vionas culinary monstrosities and crimes agaisnt all chefs of the world. For now. Lets focus on what is gonna happen. FRESH GOD DAMN AIR. She was estactic!

Diadem castle

Upon hearing the reapers words his eyes went wide as the entire castle. No, the entire lake began to rumble as if an earthqauke was happenign. A torrent of demonic energy swirled about diadem. "You think i can not destroy that worthless mortal city that dares hide my wife without hurting her in the crossfire?" his voice was calm as ever. Yet it was deep and echoing, showing the underlying rage and anger swirling through the whole castle and lake. As he stood up he gripped his cane tight. preparing to fight before seiva burst in shoving ruru infront of him. Hearing the words of seiva, a brief pause appeared. the entire lake and castle stopping..... "Grand daughter you say...." he mumbled inspecting ruru. Ruru standing there frozen as she was shoved straight into the demonic energy swirling around diadem. With a silent gulp she nodded. "r-rurulian Von Lululian, daughter of Zuzulian and Shardaken Lucrum." Diadem looked at ruru. Before taking a sharp inhale. "Greetings my lovely grand daughter! Welcome to my castle! you should have sent word you were coming! i must seem an awful host now. Please relax. We shall converse soon over a cup of tea. I simply have a mortal city i must destroy first. It shant take more then half an hour." His emotions had made a 180 as the energy vanished. A small smiled on his face as anyone looking at him now could only see a doting grandfather. "I will question your poor excuse of a father as to why i was never told of you. But for now enjoy yourself! Welcome to the lucrum Castle. Make yourself at home! Ive had two rooms prepared for the day I would have a grand child. Please feel free to sue either." he said sitting down in his throne as he absentmindedly began creating a large scale portal magic right infront of the castle. The look of it appearing big enough for an army to march through. Shard glaring and casting a spell inside the portal disrupting it. "......Miss Seiva, May I ask why you have brought a mongrel into my castle?" he said turning to the three. His gaze ice cold.

Shard could only hold rurus hand tight as her glared at diadem. "How fitting for a pathetic old man to call his own son Mongrel. Your son returns for the first time inover 3000 years and thats all you have to say? I told you this would be a waste of time. Seiva" one could see the sparks clashing between shards and diadems stares.

Ada blushed and nodded. It wasn't even a lie. She liked crime dramas and stuff!

Sean laughed a little, "Oh! Yeah, no, I haven't watched a whole lot of that stuff. I feel like LA has enough of that in real life, I don't need to watch shows about it. I like supernatural shows, I guess. Like... sci-fi supernatural shows. I like a bit of mystery thrown in, and while I'm not averse to violent themes, they're usually not the main goal of the show."

"Oooh?" Ada cooed, still blushing, "I like that sort of show too. You're right though, LA has a lot of crazy stuff going on. It's so busy all the time."

"No kidding. Huge cities are like that, though," he replied, relaxing a bit, "So where do you go to school?"

"Homeschooled! The best school a girl could hope for if you ask me. Dad's a rough teacher, but dealing with other kids sounds like a pain."

"Oh, so you're kinda like me then! That's cool. I mean, I just do distance learning, but still, at home. Mister Casey? What do you do for a job then? Teaching Ada, it must be hard to juggle that and a full-time job," Sean offered, just trying to be sweet and polite, "She seems like a really smart girl though, so you've done a great job! I mean I did meet her at a library, after all."

As the two easily made there way through the fields to the castle and came up on the door her look grew puzzled at the riddle. It was a complete coincidence but the line about a mother who lost there child hit to close to home for her to like. Her lips curling into a frown as she watched Quasar guess the riddle with ease. “Hope.” She whispered quietly to herself as her head dropped just a little, her own eyes dimming at the though as she followed Quasar inside. Samantha would have never been able to guess it. Guessing it was because she actually had no hope, but now wasn’t the time To fall back into her own depression and self hatred. They needed to find the child.

Yami whimpered and whines as she watched the combat from the woman’s arms. To scared to realize that Ruru had made her way inside till it was two late. As soon as Ruru hit the 20 meter barrier Yami yelped as she was torn from the girls arms and sent flying towards Ruru. Sadly for her she missed Ruru. Yelling as she was sent flying past the group and landed in front of the throne. Sliding into it face first with a thud she sat back, bringing her hands to her face and whining loudly as she tried to get rid of the pain on her nose and forehead by rubbing it. Not even noticing the big scary man who she currently sat Inbetween the legs of. Her little legs kicking and gently flailing at the pain as she whimpered and whined at the pain of smacking her face against the throne. She whined and babbled in pain as she looked up with an adorable glare. Planning to babble angrily at whoever it was in the chair before she went silent and her look grew fearful. Tears still in her eyes from the pain as she sat there staring up at the scary man on the throne.

"Lots of shit is going on at once. I'm not going to let you level LA, as I'm working there right now, and besides, there are actually a good few people and angels that would cause you undue issues if you tried," Seiva said, huffing a loud sigh as one hand hefted up onto her hip, "But yes. This is your granddaughter. We call her Ruru. The person behind your son is her mother, Zuzulian, or Zuzu. As for Shardaken himself, do remind yourself he is my general, and one of my top generals, at that. You will give him the respect he is due. You will, or we will have issues. Understood?"

She laughed, "Beyond that! Think! How will your wife react to knowing how you've treated him all these years? Oh-ho-ho. I wasn't too close with her, but I don't have to be to know that she's scary when she's mad. Dare I say, she might even be disappointed in you?"

Nadia cleared her throat and appeared in front of Diadem, scooping up the little Yami into her arms, "Apologies, sir, this is Ruru's pet of sorts. Its name is Yami. We wanted to come in to talk to you about Ruru and about your late wife. We have reason to believe she is somewhere in Los Angeles, as there has been a rash of resurrections. This reaper here can attest to that and has confirmed that she is indeed alive. There is little to worry about with the reapers in this situation, but we are concerned about the group that has brought her back and the reasons they may have. None know her as well as you though, my Lord, so we hoped you may be able to help in finding her and ensuring her safety?"

Seiva sighed and relaxed a little, "Yeah. What Nadia said. Can't just go blowing the city up, even if we could, so we gotta find her some other way. Got any ideas?"

Well her mood perked up quickly... Vice chuckled and shot her a smile, "Tentacles? No... I suppose I could if I really wanted to, but no, this is my natural form. The part of me that's not bound is much the same, albeit male." It wasn't like these corks would do much... but... ah... She wanted to help her a little. Less stabbing was a good start, right? She was just a stranger to her, but she looked so pathetic and miserable.

"Your dragon form is perfectly cute as is, Pydir. If your favorite food is dragon flesh then... one moment," she set on the last of her corks and tucked her hand inside her little shawl top. From it, she brought out a juicy, dripping with blood, massive chunk of dragon flesh as large as Pydir's head, "Then a gift from me to you of our new friendship, yes? Assuming you'd like to be friends, of course."

She held it up so the pinned dragon could actually eat and enjoy the meat, any and all drips hitting a barrier above her head and rolling off into the void so she wouldn't get all gross and soaked with blood.

"Hey, James? Who would you like to visit next? I'd like to meet everyone," she said, looking over at him as though her arms weren't outstretched and doing something so odd, "Oh... and don't worry too much about where I got this meat."

Casey Kemp

Casey let the kids enjoy their conversation now that he had managed to get Ada out of the hole she had been digging herself, managing to divert enough attention to stay tuned in on what they were talking about. TV shows, schooling, routine things it would seem. And then Sean went and had to ask about what he did for a living, forcing him to use one of his routine answers as cover. "I'm a private contractor. Unlike someone who's considered an employee I work under a signed contract or verbal agreement. Though I guess I didn't really have to explain that, you seem smart enough. Ada is extremely intelligent, will probably end up being smarter than me at some point." He shifted lanes on the road, eyes still focused ahead.

Death's Chill
The reaper ignored Seiva's venom laced comment about her intervening. It seemed the two had drastically different ideas about the meaning of 'intervention'. She knew that Seiva would arrive should Diadems anger be invoked, and that his disciples wouldn't stall her. That and so much more resulted in her acting of her own accord for now. Holding her scythe in hand as if it were a walking staff she watched in silence as the two interacted, Seiva attempting to throw her weight around and Yami being tossed inside. What a mess this lot was. When they found Diadems wife, she felt certain she would be laced with venom as well...though perhaps she wouldn't openly voice it? Such was the life of demons it seemed...always fighting and throwing barbs, never coming to rest peacefully. As if to prove her point, Shardaken had to toss his own barb towards the demon lord. They weren't going to get anywhere soon it seemed.

"Correct. There have been multiple resurrections in L.A, Chrysalia Lucrum is not alone in this matter. And yes, she still lives. Blowing up the city is a poor choice...as for ideas, I may yet have one." Her hood cocked to the side, as if she was tilting her head a bit. "Consider if you will, that Diadem Lucrum is one end of a string, and that his wife is the other end. It is tangled, twisted and contorted beyond recognition for many...though the trail exists. They are soulmates, bound forever and thereafter. With her resurrection, and the distance between them, it may be difficult...but I can follow this string back to her. It will be easiest if I...borrow Diadem Lucrum for this." Her hood shifted to 'look' at Seiva, voice calm as ever. "I am simply aiding, not intervening. You asked for ideas, and I offered them."

He focused in silence on putting corks on the spikes, for what little good it would offer. It wouldn't do a ton, but anything was better than nothing hopefully. His attention shot to Vice as she pulled out a filet of dragon out of fucking nowhere, eyebrow twitching a bit. What the fuck!? "Too late, worried about it. I don't suggest meeting everyone, probably not a great idea to go visiting Hignar, let alone give her access to a commons room. If we were going to visit anyone next..." He fell silent, attaching a few more corks to spikes. "Sophia. We could visit Sophia next. Her grimoire is one I created, so it's less of a prison and more of an ideal habitat. She actually leaves it quite frequently...without my permission... Thyris is the only other grimoire that I made that's considered an ideal habitat. The others are prisons, simply put. We're not visiting Hignar, because I don't feel like being crushed, and I doubt you do either. Hey pydir, is this helping any?"

Correct answer.

The massive doors of the castle dragged and wrenched themselves open as they ground against the stone floor. Just inside was a courtyard with many trees that looked as though they had become overgrown. Though there were areas to the right and left, going around the main building in a circle following the outer wall, directly in front of them sat another pedestal with another puzzle on top of it.

The answer to this puzzle is simple.
You have 100 gold coins that sit in your pocket, hanging heavy.
You have two friends to share the coins amongst.
How do you split the gold coins?

Just as well, sitting on the edge of the pedestal was a puzzle cube with what looked like a broken keyhole making up bits of the cube strewn across it. There was, however, no key in sight.

Zaphkiel - Sirius' home

I did nothing, I thought. I just am, and it's you who went through the motions. Humans always do. You are given a sliver of what you seek, and in an instant you've lit with it a bonfire to huddle around. This serenity you feel is wholly yours in the making, child. But I will not gainsay the warmth it provides you by voicing words you might not want to hear.

Slowly pulling out of the embrace, I slithered out of the sheets and sat on the edge of the bed, the familiar white light of my wings around us fading with a soft crystalline chime and a sound of feathers aflutter. They were gone, now. Faded away within magic, vanished from my shivering back until I felt the need to soar again. I took her hand in mine, softly wrapping my fingers around hers. Words, I thought. I have to say something. Earnestness was the right choice, I mused.

"I will not deny you my affection", I said. "Not when I can give it freely. Kindness, after all, does not only ever stems from gratitude. But... Even though you do seem to greatly appreciate my embrace, we have little time to spare as of now." I tried to keep my tone even; I did not want to sound like I was pressuring her. Maybe I could last a little longer without help, maybe that would do... But help had been offered and freely given, and I would not turn it down.

Leaning to the side, I grabbed the cup of coffee that was waiting on the bedside table and slowly sipped at it, my lips barely touching the rim. The coffee flowed down my throat and- Stars and stones was it hot. It scoured my insides of any remaining splinter of cold- of about anything, really, and I think I flushed intensely. One glance at the wall, a flicker of magic to make it reflective for a split second... Cherry-red. That was sort of embarrassing.

I placed the cup in Sirius' hands, slightly lowering my head to hide my cheeks behind the length of my hair, and faintly muttered

"Be careful when you drink. It's hot."

Once Axiom was out and turned away, information relayed amongst the team and to his superiors, they knew they'd have to call out for someone a bit more specialized. That wasn't the end of it, though, as there was a cacophonous rumble and cloud of dust and smoke that rose from the ground a ways off from the actual entrance to the tunnel, burying part of it in tons of rubble. An explosion that cut off the farther parts of the tunnel, but left the dark paladin in the still-standing part like some sort of depressing guard.

Tabby gripped Thomas's arm at the little earthquake the explosion shot through the ground, scared, though funny enough not scared of Thomas. She may have been strong in the face of a monster like the beast, but... villains were scary! They were less predictable than an animal by far!!

"A-Axiom! Stand guard at the entrance. We'll see who we can get to respond to this in time. We'll need diggers too."

"Oh, that's cool. Lots of freedom in that, huh?" Sean responded, honestly having expected something more fanciful given his... gun... and general demeanor. He wasn't sure if he was relieved or disappointed. A little bit of both. "Maybe you can teach me how that stuff works at some point. Combining that with some sort of research would be a great way to make a living. I'm getting ahead of myself, though. Still have to finish school and stuff."

"It's always best to think ahead," Ada chimed in, "I've known what I want to do forever. There's no shame in working towards it earlier. In fact, it keeps you ahead of the pack. It makes you stand out for your hard work."

"What do you wanna do?"

"I wanna be like my dad. Private contractor work."

"Ohh? Is there anything else you'd do if you didn't do that?" Sean asked, curious, and sweet.

Ada lolled her head side to side, "Aside from that... mmmm... I haven't thought about it much to be honest. I've certainly never talked about doing anything else. It's all I think I'd do. If I couldn't do the same work as dad for some awful reason, I think I'd wanna be a librarian for a while. Libraries just feel so calming. They're this little universe of calm and knowledge... then, maybe... It's not really a job, but I think it'd be so much fun to go sailing for a while and get that sort of experience in me. Maybe something as tame as a cruise ship, or something as adventurous as a sailboat. I dunno. Nothing really interests me the same as contractor work, though. Your own schedule. You're your own boss. You can make as much or as little money as you want. You meet lots of different sorts of people."

Sean chuckled and smiled at her like she was the cutest thing in the world, "You make it sound so amazing. Maybe you can go on cruise ships and do contractor work on the ships! That'd be two birds with one stone!"

She laughed at the idea, "Yeah, maybe. For a month or two, but then I'd start to miss dad. He'd miss me within a week though, isn't that right?"

All he wanted to do right now was curl up in a ball in the corner and stare at the wall, but Darren hefted himself up to his feet and shoved his hands in his pockets. As they headed out, he grumbled at Natalie, "I'm not just a depressed pup, you know? I have good days too, I swear. It feels like you caught me at such a low point, which, I mean... that's good for me, but I don't want me to be cemented in your head as nothing else. If anything, I'm far more tenacious than I am depressed."

He let out a long sigh, "Anyway, let's get this over with. Family or not their treatment of angels, buying them... it needs to be stopped. The thing is, my father and uncle had to have known it would lead to this... He probably wants them dead for some reason." Darren stretched his arms out above his head as they walked a bit, "He lives over by Heavenly Pond with his wife and daughter so we can head that direction. I'll nab their address while we're driving. Their kid should be... I think... like... three? Maybe four or five at the most. I know I don't need to tell you to be careful, but still... He's not gonna be a weakling. I don't know if there's a way to get him away from the area, but if possible, then that'd be best so civilians don't get in the crossfire... though I'm mostly worried about his daughter. But you know what you're doing. I trust you."

Watching the doors slide open she glanced at the courtyard before them, heaving a sigh. Of course there was more to this crap. "Alright, let's get going then." Marching forward with a begrudging determination she stopped at the pedestal, staring at the puzzle. Wait...what? "That's...the math doesn't work." She stared at the puzzle in silence, sword tapping on the ground. Perhaps split the gold evenly between the friends? But then you'd be neglecting yourself. Cut the gold pieces themselves in half? But no, the math still wouldn't work. The answer is simple...the answer is simple... She repeated the riddle in her head at least a dozen times, walking back and forth in front of the riddle as if walking would help her. "I'm gonna work on the puzzle here, maybe that'll reveal some answers."

Moving to the puzzle cube and starting to piece it together she couldn't help but finding herself relaxing a bit. It was fun to do puzzles like this, and this one was rather simple. The realization hit her like a grand piano from a window, causing her to snap her head to glare at the puzzle, puzzle cube in her hands still. "SON OF A FUCK! THE ANSWER IS SIMPLE! SIMPLE IS YOUR ANSWER! IT'S AT THE START OF THE GOD FORSAKEN FUCKING PUZZLE!" FUCK this fucking game, FUCK Rpg's, FUCK this mission! She was inches from walking the other direction and calling it a day and letting Samantha deal with this shit alone...but obviously, she couldn't really do that.

"A good deal of freedom, yea. I make my work schedule and I reach an agreement on how much I'll be making, as opposed to working on a fixed income. For now, just focus on your schooling." As Ada and Sean fell back into the conversation, he found himself casting her a glance of 'seriously' when she brought up being a librarian if her world goals fell apart. That was a massive step down and an entirely different spectrum. If it was her backup plan he couldn't really fault her but he doubted she'd need something like that. At the statement of how long it'd take him to miss her he gave a small shrug. "Someday, every bird leaves the nest. I'd have to accept that. How long it'd take me to miss her though?... Three days tops. But I'm also not going to hold her back from facing the world."

Trust me, you're not cemented in my head as anything but a pup. We can put as many adjectives on that as we like, but you're just a sweet kid. If pup gets old, I got a bunch of other cute little animals I could call you. How bout sugar glider?" Her smile dropped as he started talking business, her own hands going into her pocket with a huff. "The realization hit me as well. He's using me as his personal wrecking ball I think...damn shame those swing backward too. I'm going to kick him in the gut next time I see him either way. Once they were outside she paused frowning. They didn't have the rental, SoulFlare had taken the hellcycle and Darren had walked. Anthony followed Corvus along once he had securely attached his mask and tucked his hands behind his back. He didn't seem to mind the rain one bit. He wasn't sure where they'd end up deciding to go, but wherever it was, he was fine with it. He would treat both these women as kin, with all the respect and niceties he possibly could afford to.

"Do tell, Corvus, there was a bit of a plague in Brazil early last year. Did you tend to that one?" he asked, head tilt and all, "It looked like a bit of a pickle of a case, for sure. Thomas glanced in the direction of the commotion, a frown cementing itself on his face. A hand reached out to pat Tabby's shoulder, Thomas doing his best to offer a small smile. "Hey, relax. We're all good so far, don't sweat anything till it happens. I've got your back." He sighed, attention going back to the plumes of dust and smoke. "O.A is probably blockading access to stall for time, I bet. They know we found them more than likely, so they'll do whatever they can to make sure we get to them as slowly as possible. Those tunnels are probably too small for Beast to fit into, otherwise, we could...use him to plow through the rubble. As much as I hate that."

In a darkened alleyway stood a knight of 6'4, and around him lay a bloodied mess of bodies, severed arms, and heads laying around like parts torn from broken action figures. "Worthless cur that you all were. Your greed was your downfall, and such a sin deserves punishment. Do you forget that thou should not covet that which is not yours?" He flicked his blade, a mess of ichor splattering the ground from it before he sheathed it. Before he could consider where next to go after dispatching these would-be muggers, the radio that he had managed to procure for reports of the misdeeds of this city crackled to life, speaking of a dark paladin at the site of the great attack. A hand clutched the hilt of his blade, knuckles turning white with how tightly he gripped it. A fallen warrior of God, someone who had turned from the faith? There was only recourse...their redemption would be their death. Every moment they lived was a crime in the eyes of Heaven.

With an exertion of will, a spectral steed appeared beside him, the very same horse he had ridden into hell with. A hand went out, stroking it's ghostly main before he mounted it, spurring it onwards. The spirits hoofs echoed with much the same energy as a real horse would as the crusader burst out of the alleyway atop his mount, which reared on its hind legs only to leap shortly after to jump over a car. The horns of vehicles followed him as he spurred the ghostly beast onwards with little regard for the laws of the road, weaving in between cars and onto the sidewalk. It took him all of five minutes to arrive at the edge of the crater, the horse rearing upwards again. Silent as death itself, he spurred the beast on once again, only for it to charge down into the crater towards his destination. This was more than doing a duty, this was more than his mission. This was to correct a crime against the highest order in the eyes of the knight.

She nodded once towards Viona saying she'd be ordering them a means of transportation, a small chuckle escaping her. "Dear girl, remind me to help you with your cooking skills while I am in the city. I am no chef, but I have learned a thing or two in my life." With her two companions in tow she moved through the hospital to the exit, either getting a knowing nod from doctors or a look of confused horror from new residents. There was honestly no in between, now that she minded. Once they were outside in the rain, the doctor turned her attention upwards towards the sky for a moment, resulting in rain to run down her mask quite quickly for a somewhat macabre visage before she turned her attention towards Anthony.

"Ah yes, an interesting strain that one. I was present for that, indeed. I was actually present with a few other experts in virology, though I must admit they still have a few things to learn. People refused to distance themselves until the last possible moment, finding that gathering for prayer was more important than their own safety. Not to mention mine own difficulties I incurred for how I look. It's become quite amusing to be called a demon, when I am anything but. Truth be told though, demons do have interesting viral strains I have studied and...gathered as well. Perhaps I should get a larger Rosary, mayhaps that will limit the outcries?" She raised her index finger and thumb to the rosary that hung around her neck, toying with it idly for a moment before lowing her hand and it's cane again. "Now then, you both know the area better than I, so I would request you decide on the destination that would be best for dear Viona to get some air, yes?"

Axiom nodded at Tabby having heeded her order to survey the entrance of the tunnel "Understood." Axiom jogs back over to to the entrance where he had entered the tunnel and awaited there. All-see assured that they would have someone arriving to aid them with the dark paladin. Axiom was still slightly nervous at the prospect of being invulnerable so easily but it made him think what if the paladin wasn't the only one with such magic? Ofcourse he wasn't. Magic is exactly an unknown art anymore but its still very deadly. Axiom wondered should he have tried resisting the magic but he figured it was best he'd fall back. He was no good dead as if the paladin could by-pass his plasma attacks and immobilize him so easily, there was no telling how an actual hand-to-hand battle would go for him. He probably could've managed if he played his cards right but he wasn't guardian for no reason. But what was it that was worth guarding down there? Was it truly anything relating to O.A? Or something different entirely? His thoughts were interrupted however as he catches sight of another knight riding on a creature and without stopping, hurls himself into the crater. That made TWO knights he's witnessed riding bizarre creatures today... He wondered if this was common among knights...

As the doors opened samantha walked in with Quasar only to be greeted with another puzzle and a riddle. The answer was stupid to say the least as she listened to Quasar rage on and on over being in this job. If she was being honest Quasars rather shitty attitude was doing little to help them get through this quicker, possibly even slowing them down but she didn’t voice this as she looked over the cub as Quasar messed with it. “It looks like some kind of key hole. Maybe one of the paths leads to its key.” Samantha muttered to herself in thought as she Looked at the two that lay strewn out. “It seems as though we need to do both these puzzles to open the door.” She said softly as she turned to look around the area in wonder.

Mary Moon

Test was done, and it only took a little longer than she figured it would, but she still finished up before everyone else. Giving her professor a wave of goodbye she scurried out of the room and down the hall, sidestepping a pair who were so invested talking about plans for D&D for the evening that they had completely zoned out of reality. "Good luck Mikey, try not to get mulched by a beholder again!" The thinner of the two males looked at her, as if the lingo had rattled him from his own realm. He flashed a knowing grin before going back to his talk, Mary moving back to her dorms, zipping through the halls in short bursts.

Reaching her dorm room she slowly opened up the door, stepping in with a grin. "Lucy, I'm home!" It was a terrible, god awful reference but it was one she made frequently enough. Walking inside and closing up the dorm room entrance with her foot behind her she started to the kitchen, rummaging around. "I know I had spare ramen around here somewhere..." Failing to find it off the bat resulted in her zipping around the kitchen in a search for her ramen. What was a college student on a budget without her ramen!?

Correct answer.

The castle was uncaring of the shouting the one woman had, uninterested in her plight and indifferent. The cube itself was easy to solve, just like a Rubix Cube, and indeed contained a keyhole within it of obviously magical means.

Looking around, there wasn't anything outwardly obvious, but it did seem as though the courtyard they were standing in had elements of the original park merged into its architecture. Park benches here and there. A VERY confused squirrel or two freaking the hell out and scurrying across the ground. Birds screaming in the trees as per usual.

Unfortunately, without the key, nothing happened yet.
