Name: Pinto the Great
Gender: Male
Species: Beanish

Appearance: Possessing the green skinned humanoid appearance of his species, the Beanish, Pinto is pretty average looking amongst his kind. Standing at 5’3’’, slightly smaller than most humans, Pinto is of a lean build, almost being able to be called lanky, his limbs looking a little bit too stringy and long compared to the rest of him.

Pinto has the fully black eyes that is the standard amongst the Beanish, though he does possess the slightly rarer purple colored hair, which he keeps in a short tuft on top of his head. As part of his role as Pinto the Great, he wears a dark blue wizard’s robes, as well as a pointed wizard’s hat of the same color. In his hand, Pinto has a gnarled blue, wooden wand.

Personality: Pinto the Great is a showoff, always claiming to be a master wizard. He always seems to exaggerate when talking about his abilities or past adventures, creating this persona of being the great hero of the Beanbean Kingdom. Like most Beanish, Pinto possesses a sense of humor, though his tends to be more making fun of others. This type of humor and his boisterous personality makes some people just naturally annoyed with him.

Underneath all this bluster, Pinto is quite insecure, doubting his abilities as a wizard. He has come to the conclusion that people will only like him if he claims to be the best, as that is the type of person he looks up to. Pinto is actively trying to reach the power levels he claims to have, by improving his magical prowess.

HP: 7
FP: 8 (+2)
ATK: 3 (+1)
DEF: 0 (+2)
Speed: 2

Equipment:
  • Chucklehuck Wand (Weapon) - Taken from a branch of a tree in Chucklehuck Woods then imbued with magic, this wand has been with Pinto for years. (+1 Attack, +2 FP)
  • Apprentice Robes (Armor) - Created by a tailor in Beanbean Castle Town, these are the typical robes of a beginner wizard. (+2 Defense)

Items:
  • Honey Drink - A sweet tasting thick drink. (Recovers 5 FP and gets rid of Sleep effect.)

Abilities:
  • Snowstorm (3 FP) - Calls on a a snow flurry that blows in and lands on one person. (Deals 5 DMG to one enemy.)
  • HP Rain (2 FP) - Summons a mystical cloud that lightly rains on someone. (Restores 2 HP to one party member.)

Back Story: Born in the Beanbean Kingdom, one of the Beanish majority, Pinto would have a mostly normal childhood. Growing up in Harhar Village, a small settlement located just west of Teehee Valley, Pinto was expected to one day run the item shop owned by his parents. That was until he discovered that he possessed magic.

Somehow causing snow to fall in the desert village, Pinto would become obsessed with his new powers. Pinto would soon learn that magic wasn’t that common among the Beanish, especially not in Harhar Village. Deciding that he wanted to learn more about magic, Pinto would decide to leave his home and go to the capital of Beanbean Castle Town.

There he would discover a small group of wizards, who Pinto would learn from. During this period he would adopt the moniker of Pinto the Great, a master wizard. This would start irking some of the other wizards. But Pinto wouldn’t care, having plans to attend the Woohoo Hooniversity to further study magic.

But as the time approached for Pinto to apply for the school, he would get distracted by the legend of an ancient Beanish Wizard’s Tome. Apparently written by the greatest Beanish wizard of all time, the tome had apparently been spotted in the nearby nation of Sarasaland. Deciding to throw caution into the wind, Pinto would leave his kingdom for the first time, taking an airship to Sarasaland. Since arriving he has begun looking for the tome.

Other:
  • Despite claiming to be a “Great” wizard, Pinto is very much a beginner.
  • When Pinto does a basic attack, he shoots a bolt of energy out of his wand.
  • Pinto will have a mix of offensive and healing magic.
  • While initially just looking for the Beanish wizard’s tome, Pinto will quickly be drawn into the search for the Dreamweaver Crown.

Appearance:
1743219361948.png
Name: Astra Plane
Gender: Female
Species: Ghost...spirit...one of those.
Personality: Astra is seemingly calm spirited. She enjoys the small things in life. However she has not left her home in quite sometime. Seeing the world as it is, often leaves her curious. Astra is very loyal and a good friend to Professor E Gadd.
HP: 5
FP: 10 (+1)
ATK: 3 (+1)
DEF: 3 (+2)
Speed: 3

Equipment:
- Her sheet she consistently wears to give her a plus 2 to defense.
- her red bow for a plus 1 to attack.

Items: Astra carries a pouch of green goo that works as a temporary band aid, healing 3 hp.

Abilities: (Maximum of 2 for now)
-Scarry face: Astra can give a scary face to place terror into two enemies, making them lose a turn.
-Astral howl: Astra will scream at a defining level that will cause 3 damage

Backstory: Astra works for Professor E Gadd. The two have become fond friends and she really enjoys learning whatever fun gadget he is working on. After hearing from him that a dear friend has gone on a dangerous mission, Astra left to assist Luigi on this dangerous quest. She insists on helping him and getting him home safely to put Processor E Gadd's mind at ease. As a true friend does! It also gives her the chance to see the world and explore!

Other:
-Astra chooses to float and can high a little bit, but she struggles with going too high
-Astra is cool to the touch as any ghost is.
-Astra is currently working on phasing through things, She can not phase through things as of yet.
-Sometimes the physical realm can be a bit much, she must rely on others to use most items in the physical realm.

Appearance: Rather than the 'white sheet' appearance that is standard for her species, Dooplicity's sheet-like body is pink in coloration. Her cheeks (or rather, the areas that would correspond to the cheeks for more fleshy-beings) have red blushes literally colored onto them with crayons. Her eyes are yellow like the standard duplighost, though her feet/shoes are dark brown in coloration. The part of her sheets which extend from her like hands, have mitt-like gloves beneath them. As though to indicate her femininity, she has a large aquamarine colored bow on the back of her head.

Name: Dooplicity
Gender: Female
Species: Duplighost
Personality: Dooplicity is a shy and timid individual when it comes to social interactions with new people. Used to being hated and feared as a result of her species, she tends to assume that people will be mean to her wherever she goes. As such, loneliness is common for her, as well as feelings of inadequacy because she's 'just a duplighost'. People being nice to her is something that is very rare. But it is also something she craves, and would do anything to keep. Therefore, she can be trusted to be a loyal and kind (though somewhat softspoken) friend towards those who earn her friendship. Still, she is at least a little awkward even with friends since she doesn't quite know how 'normal friend interactions' are supposed to go. Dooplicity is intelligent with a good memory, something needed in order to keep a repertoire of transformations in her mind.
HP: 8
FP: 7
ATK: 1 (+2)
DEF: 2 (+2)
Speed: 3

Equipment:

Dooplicity's gloves give her +2 Attack.
Similarly to Astra, her sheets give her a +2 to Defense.

Items: Dooplicity carries around a crystal shard from the Crystal palace which grants a temporary 50% buff to Defense.

Abilities:

Scan (1 FP): After an enemy has used a spell or skill, Dooplicity commits it into her memory.
Replicate: Dooplicity uses a spell or ability that she has scanned, able to transform her body if necessary to do it. FP varies based on the particular skill scanned, with more powerful or useful skills costing more. (None gathered so far)

Backstory: Before one gets into Dooplicity, one must get into the details of her species, the Duplighost. Duplighosts are a people that are capable of transforming into other people, and extremely powerful Duplighosts have been known to even force their victims to lose their own appearances and become mere shadows. Such folklore has existed since as long as they have existed. As a result of the actions of a few bad Duplighosts, as well as public fear over their abilities in general, they have been the subject of much paranoia. People feared them and what they could do. Thus, they weren't welcomed in many towns, and became nomadic peoples. Some settled in an abandoned church in Rogueport. Others invaded an ancient palace (which definitely didn't help their public image). But most importantly for this tale, some had ended up Sarasaland during their wanderings. Officially speaking the legal system prohibits discrimination against different species, including the Duplighosts, but it is rarely enforced nowadays.

Dooplicity was born among them. Living on the outskirts of a small village, Dooplicity and her family were not treated kindly by the local population. The children would bully Dooplicity, and her parents and older siblings only told her to grin and bare it. That she shouldn't stoop to their levels and take revenge with her abilities (which would also only serve to further justify and increase the discrimination Duplighosts faced in the public eye). Her only friend was a Toad named Fros T. who would play with her. But even then, it would only be in private, him not wanting to be seen playing with her by the others. Still, his mere presence kept her from giving up on people entirely, through the bullying she faced. Recently, however, Fros T. has disappeared. The town has become more hostile towards Dooplicity since then, blaming him for his disappearance. Meanwhile she has fallen into a bit of a depression, thinking he has abandoned her. These factors combined have caused her to leave the town and wander to try and find some place she is truly welcomed.

Other:
-Despite being named DupliGHOST, there is no indication that the species is actually a ghost and non-biological.
-Dooplicity will start out as a wanderer, but join the party after they are nice to her, wanting to be helpful to those who don't reject her for her species
-Dooplicity will play like a blue mage, gaining the spells of enemies but not having many original abilities of her own.
-Fros T., if he appears as an NPC, would be a toad with the appearance of a toad with the ice flower power-up affecting him.
-I'm sorry it took so long to complete.
