The dawn of a new day. The Sunset Horizon had entered the Vega Delphi System two days prior via Jump Warp and was taking a slow leisurely trip towards Vega Delphi Prime, the crown jewel of the Vega Delphi System with its unique flora and fauna. Once they established a proper orbit, the guests would be able to board one of two tour ships with built in plexiglass bottoms to see all the sights from the safety of the ship. Wouldn't want any of the guests to get injured.

As is known, there are many dangerous and carnivorous plants and animals on the planet, which is why actual ground fall is only given to a careful few that have been cleared by members of Ysrendele Cruise Line corporation and the scientific community at large. It could quite possibly lead to some of the greatest new discoveries of our generation. Which is why the Ysrendele Corporation keeps such a stranglehold on the system.

The ship begins to approach the planet and the navigator deftly inputs the all clear code so that the turrets around the planet that are disguised as normal bits of space debris, stand down. In the relatively recent past, there had been issues with smugglers, pirates and poachers using Vega Delphi Prime as a haven or even just stealing the flora and fauna to sell to the highest bidder. The corporation through great expense, drove them all out and placed a powerful deterrent for any that would attempt to encroach on their space.

The Captain's booming voice emerged on the loudspeaker. "We are approaching Vega Delphi Prime, which you can see on the right side of the ship or if you turn your viewscreens to channel 4 on your displays. Tour ships will be leaving in 2 hours, so make sure that you have purchased your tickets in advance. The Manta Ray show and buffet will be opening at noon and the Finnigan Circus will be performing outside on the outer hull above the observation deck at 4 pm. Be sure to bring the children for their death defying antics in zero G."

High Class Section
The high class section of the ship spared no expense on amenities, and considering what they payed to be there, made perfect sense. The food was made from Micheline winning chefs who worked five star restaurants and the servants, both mechanical and flesh and blood, knew to be seen and not heard. The rich did not wish to be disturbed from their relaxation after all.

In one of the party rooms, off at a table by themselves, a handful of scientist were celebrating the good fortune of their assignment. After all, it was not every day that you got to study Vega Delphi Prime, a planet that most of them had made their life's study.
A tall man with a thick but well trimmed beard tossed back another glass of champagne. "I can't wait to get to that lab they so we can get to work. It's going to be fantastic." David Wrenson was a jovial sort and always eager to get to hands on work dealing with the flauna directly.
A heavyset woman sitting next to him merely played with her glass. "Well yeah, but I'm enjoying this needed break before we all go all full research mode. It's all a little nerve wracking." Betty Tenneson was a nervous sort, but very good at dealing with ascertaining the medical capabilities of flora.
A thin, almost dangerously so tan man spoke up. "I get that, but let's not get ahead of ourselves. How about a toast. Vera, would you do the honors. After all, you are team leader?" Haghi Ahuji could be difficult to get along with at times, but he was the best geologist that they had.

The party on the ship was in full swing. A band played classical music while tasty hors d'voeures were being served. A mechanical servant swung over with a tray and spilled some wine on Giulia Gatti as she was in the middle of a conversation. The machine proceeded to take a few steps before the entire tray spilled over, making a huge mess and clattering onto the floor. It then proceeded to continue moving forward, bumping into several people including Ash West before trying to walk into a wall nonstop.

One of the servants ran over to Sandra Colts as he was desperately looking for any of the engineering or technical staff to fix this before things got out of hand. He looked at the nametag on her outfit before speaking to her. "Please Miss Colts, that serving bot is out of control and making a mess. You gotta fix it." The server looked at his wits end as there was already an uproar coming from several people who had gotten outfits messed up or just generally was pushed around. How dare that been done to someone of their social standing.

Robin Wilson was given free run of things on this trip by his grandparents. They let him dictate the course of their trip and followed what he wanted to do. They were doting grandparents and so very happy and proud of their grandchild. They finally had some time with him after and they were going to get every loving minute of it.

Adrian Wilson turned to his grandson as Meredith Wilson had her hands on Robin's shoulders. "Where did you want to go today, Robin?" He gave his grandson a wide smile.

The Low Class Club, Harold's Revenge was the best place for drug sales to be had, especially while the loud heavy music was in full swing by lead vocalist, Leo Cadigan. In fact, Kal Rekkin, was right in the process of getting a sale. A very pale man had approached him, looking very jittery, but showed up with a full wad of credit chits. "Hey man, how much of the good stuff will this get me?"
The man seemed very over eager, with the occasional twitching of his right eye as he was almost fully huddled within a dark black trenchcoat. He kept looking around him as though expecting someone to jump out at him at any moment.

Joun Maron was also at the club to respond to a claim of needed repairs by the owner, Harold. After a brief chat, he was directed to a panel on the other side of the club where afte opening the panel, saw that there was a whole mess of faulty wiring. Weather it was because of someone messing around with the wiring themselves or the work of pests in the wall, he wouldn't be sure without a closer look.

The engine room was filled with the usual hum of the zero G point energy engine that powered the ship. Maintenance on it was relatively simple, but in conjunction with the amount of power that was pulled from the resources of the cruise ship itself, that was the difficult parts. At times, it felt as though the whole ship was in constant need of repair, with maintenance crews being sent out all over the place in an almost never ending series of tasks.

The engineering crew was almost a skeleton crew in the actual engine room at the moment. Most were either in other sections of the ships making repairs, or actually off shift, getting what rest they could. Sometimes they just widdled away their hard earned cash in the casino instead.

The chief engineer, a balding man in his late 70s was looking at a panel, checking and rechecking some readings. He looked a tad perplexed but wasn't yet talking to anyone about it. Other than that, everything else seemed hunky dory in the engineering as the others went about their daily tasks.

The Bowels of the ship
Funeral Funeral

Deep within the bowels of the ship, lay one of the most dangerous criminals in modern history. John Dacre was an anarchist, pure and simple. He murdered, burned down and destroyed anything and anyone in his path, somehow managing to attract a wide variety of followers that believed in his goals. It was almost the beginning of the end until he was managed to be captured and after a brief well televised trial, was cryogenically frozen.

Here he lay in stasis, with two guards at his box and two more guarding the door directly. It was unlikely that anyone would be here to come get him, after all, this was done in complete secret, with the plans only known by a few.

"Man, I can't believe we got stuck on guard duty for this trash."

"Yeah, I hear ya buddy. I'd rather be up watching all those rich asshole socialites get to enjoy living off their inheritances myself."

The first guard elbowed the second guard. "Asshole."

A knock on the door followed by the code being inputted from the outside terminal.

"Ah, time for lunchbreak."

A gorgeous woman with thick luxurious black hair, piercing dark blue eyes, and an almost skin tight outfit that showed off every curve in all the right places walked in pushing a food cart, giving the guards a smile.

"New uniform?" One of the guards looked to the other one before collapsing onto the floor, a small thwip sound emanating from underneath the cart. The guard next to him went to check his fallen comrade when he received a quick karate chop on the neck from the woman.

The two guards guarding the stasis box weren't taking any chances and immediately opened fire as the woman danced around the bullets at an almost inhuman speed while the cart transformed into some sort of deformed robot that rushed forward grabbing the two guards by the throat, squezzing tightly, but not enough to kill them, yet.

The woman walked slowly towards the stasis chamber, taking one of the guards keycards, swiping it and inputting the code as the chamber began to defrost.

"Welcome back boss." She gave a wicked grin.

Among those who the unruly mechanical servant had spilled the drinks on was none other than Richard McCarth, who had been dancing alongside two beautiful women he had picked up, a brunette and a blonde to be exact. This ship was quite the extravagant catch, as it most definitely seemed. There were so many people similar to his own status that the blonde elite could practically die from the amount of clout there was in this one room.

Since inheriting his family's business, Richard felt like he was on top of the world. He had money, fame, fortune, servants, and just about everything else under the sun. Just on the way here he had paparazzi chasing him around, trying to snag any possible embarrassing photos they could of him. Not that Richard minded the attention, of course. He was well aware that just about everyone was looking to take a potshot at his spoiled, rich ass. Hell, he would too, if he were in their position. But it was this thrill that kept Richard going. The thrill of having so many enemies, yet being able to buy so many friends. The money, the sex, the cars, the mansions, none of it compared to that pure thrill.

Which is why he often acted out in times like this.

"What in the bloody hell is this!?" He shouted as the aforementioned liquid spilled and collided with his perfectly tailored suit. He watched with furrowed brows as it proceeded forward, eventually giving up as it began to repeatedly walk into a wall. His suit had been ruined, and to make matters worse, the staff was more incompetent than some of the oafs that he had hired! It annoyed him to no end, which caused his head to swerve around to find the exact culprit responsible for making such atrocities.

That very person being none other than one Sandra Colts.

With a snarl, he would give off a fake smile to the two women he had his arms around mere moments before, and give them both a quick smooch on the cheek, which of course caused giggles to emerge from their no doubt empty heads. He then proceeded to make his way over to the cause of this mess, shoving the servant who had already approached her out of the way so he could get his own two cents in.

"Do you know how much this damned suit cost me?" He asked, gesturing to his now slightly stained tuxedo, before looking back up to meet eyes with Sandra. With that very same snarl on his mouth, he continued before she could properly answer. "More than you're worth, that's for bloody sure! I've seen trashcans with better programming, for Christ's sake!" He shouted angrily, clearly without the intention of letting up any time soon.

Robin had been having an apsolute blast during his time on-board this cruise thus far, his grandparents doting helping to push him out of his normally quieter shell. He'd been going to view every little attractraction, and enjoying every meal and moment aboard. The only thing that might have made it better was if Christian was aboard as well! Why couldn't the little-league Aeroball team tryouts start another week!!

After hearing the annoucement and his Grandpa's question he paused for just a moment, before replying back with his head tilted back towards them "Urm.. Can we go to that? -The circus they were just talking 'bout?" He asks his grandparents, as his head meanwhile rests lightly against his Grandmother's supportive hand.

"Oh-wait, four... Guess that's not.. for a while." Robin corrects himself, looking down for a brief moment with frustration. "Urm..."
"..."

Yet it only took a couple of moments before he perked up again, bouncing forwards and rocking back on his heels, turning to look back at his guardians. "Ooh! What about that arcade - the big one upstairs? Can we go there right now?" Having remembered seeing other kids up their prior in the digital wonderland of virtual entertainments, mini zero-g chambers, and awesome prizes!

Kal stepped forward to the pale looking man that had just approached him. The blaring music from the speakers made it so he barely understood what the man was saying. Even if he hadn’t heard, Kal would have known this guy was looking to score as he presented his fist full of credits.

He eyed him up and down and noticed his jittery behavior. Either the man was tweaking, extremely nervous or the worst undercover law enforcement officer he had ever seen. The full bodied trench coat was suspicious. He had seen the whole spectrum of fashion sense in the clubs so far and no one was wearing anything so ‘modest’.

As he got closer to speak to the man, Kal could feel the weight of his coat’s left pocket tug at him. If the music wasn’t so loud, anyone nearby would have been able to hear the clink of credit chits. Sales tonight were good, a few more days and he’d be out of the supply he had smuggled in with him. After this sale, he’d have to deposit his haul in a hidden compartment he had set up in his room and restock on the narcotics.

“First you need to calm the f**k down” Kal shouted into his ear above the music, “Then, follow me.”

He pushed into the crowd of dancers. Men and women gyrated their bodies and violently nodded their heads to the rhythm of the heavy bass. He didn’t slow down as they reached the mosh pit though he kept an eye on the pale man trailing behind him.

“Come on, not too much further!” he shouted to him.

It was time to see just how hard this guy was tweaking. If he traversed through the group of people slamming into each other and jumping with fists raised in the air with a modicum of dexterity, the guy was probably sober and he couldn’t overcharge him. If he started getting tossed around, he was probably fiending or high already and Kal could have him give his arm for a hit. Plus, it wouldn’t hurt to get a peek at what ever he was hiding under that coat.

He sidestepped a woman being flung, laughing the whole time , out of the pit. She rolled about, found her footing and went right back in. He pushed a few people out of the way and moved quick enough to keep from being pushed back. Kal watched the pale man the whole time, watching to see how he fared.

Sunset Horizon - The Bowels, the very bottom, of the ship

*A few months prior*
"There are far too many charges to count. Crimes that I do not even want to mention out loud. Crimes that would sicken every man, women, and appointed official in this courtroom. How do you respond to the charges and evidence brought against you today?" the judge calls out.

*Present day*
"Guilty" John responds. As the woman stands in front of him and the guards are held by their throat, unable to move or do anything else. "Guilty to what this world defines as evil. Guilty to not bringing down the sun and covering the moon. Guilty to not knowing the feel of your wife and son's throats around my hands as the blood stops coursing to their heads. Innocent.............." he says pausing in the lowest level of this ship. The darkest part, the darkest area of the ship. "Innocent and guilty to roaming your dreams and taking away any peaceful night long after I'm gone" he laughs.

He snaps out of it, out of his final statement. He finishes his final words before his final banishment, months later in this dark room. He realizes he's no longer in the courtroom surrounded by officers and those who want to put him away. He notices two guards choking, near death in the dark room. And notices the woman in front of him. "Daughter of Adam, you just got yourself a first class ticket to the end of the world. Right here, with me" he says as he turns and looks at the guards struggling for life and starts laughing.

To be fair while Sandra enjoyed the upper class the people there where the biggest problem, and they would often mistake her for some android or something, and well Dray found it amusing? Who was Dray exactly well it was the AI in Sandra’s head, he had taken on a more masculine personality, Sandra didn’t know why but he was good company most of the time, like here both of them making comments on the current guest both of them laughing Sandra somewhat audibly, especially at the server bot going haywire although she knew that the both of them would have to fix it and when the server came pleading her to fix it she just smiled “yeah yeah I’ll get it fixed probably just a photoreceptor bug, or a damaged locomotive system” she said before she could get to fixing it one of the passengers shoved the server out of the way and began spew insults at Sandra. Dray wasn’t to happy with they guy himself, Sandra giving him a death stare, then cupped one of her mechanical hands over the guys mouth so his torrent of insults would stop “look I don’t care how much that damn suit cost you just go get another one your bound to have more, secondly you wouldn’t know a mechanical error form a software if it came around and hit you over the head buddy now let me do my job” she paused taking her hand off the guys mouth giving a sweet smile to the man a total one eighty form her angry demeanour “now I hope you have a lovely trip sir” she spoke in the classic sweet kind customer service voice.

It wasn't everyday that you got to ride a cruise line in the first class section as a means of transportation. Vera was extremely lucky to have landed a job here with these bunch, with who she quickly became close friends with, even that Haghi who was... difficult, at times. She blissfully sat as a spectator to her peers' bickering as they downed their glasses of champagne, then chugging their refills immediately after. Passing college with flying colors, getting accepted and promoted to team captain, and receiving first class treatment... Vera sipped her champagne. To say her life was good would be an understatement. Either she struck a deal with whatever God controlled luck in some past life, or something disastrous was approaching to equalize her happy life. Vera wanted to bet on the former.

Vera leaned back in her seat and gazed out the window, into space. Soon, Vega Delphi Prime would come into view, and they would have to get to work. She couldn't help but imagine just how excited David would be when they reached their destination. He was always the type to make her smile and actually keep up with her off-the-head essays about the planet. Then there were the breakthroughs made by none other than Betty. Last trip, they came close to creating something to help the human race by the masses, and this time she was certain that they could perfect it.

Vera was so lost in thought, smiling at the prospects of the future that Haghi had to repeat himself more than twice to snap her out, chuckling as Vera flailed wildly for a second to avoid tipping over her chair. "I-I'm sorry, I wasn't paying attention!" she hurriedly said, heart pumping with a smile plastered on her face. Haghi repeated himself again, where Vera responded with a nod. "Yeah, yeah, a toast would be appropiate!"

Vera had her cup refilled, raising it to the center of the table. "A toast," she began, "to the best colleagues I've ever had!"

So what do you do?

Oh yeah I wait tables too.

Kayin bounced her head up and down to the music in her earpiece, performing an inspection on a simple panel that displayed some of the machinery data. Being hired as somewhat of a try-out, she wasn't allowed to do a lot of intricate things. It would've driven her insane, were it not for the music blasting in her left ear.

'Cause I like you!

Her hips jerked to the music, her fingers tapping across the settings of the panel at high speeds. Everything seemed to be in order and just as the song on her device ended, she tapped the panel back to its original display.

With a satisfied nod she turned around to face the Chief Engineer. The young woman had smears of oil and other dirt on her face from previous small fixings, her hair messily held together in a ponytail to keep it out of her face. But even her raven curls had suffered some from the work.

"Inspected the Data-Panel of Floor Two Section Five, Sir!"

Her full lips pulled to a broad smile as she barely contained herself from saluting him. Instead her fingers went to click off the music as the next song started to play, looking expectantly at her superior.

When she noticed the stunned expression on the older man's face, she tilted her head and looked between him and what he was looking at.

Oh.

Was this her chance?

Her chance to show off?

She stepped a little closer with an expectant gaze. "Can I help in any way Sir? What's the matter?"

Joun frowned as he entered the loud night club, the jarring music was an insult to his ears...

"They're paying you, for this?" He thought in disgust, as he glanced at the lead Vocalist. He then makes eye contact with the owner who points towards the problem.

Joun had to navigate the large crowd of inebriated patrons as a balding fat man rudely bumps into him.

"Watch it!" Joun yelled over the crowd

The chubby fellow appeared high as all hell, and meakly just nodded and turned away like a jittery mess. The maintenance guy just shook his head... "Fat, High and Stupid is no way to go through life pal!!!" He yelled after him, but nobody heard him. He sighed to himself, he wasn't much different from that 10 years ago. He would have fit right in with this crowd...

He finally got to the faulty panel. This wasn't your typical Fiber Bundle swap or faulty Infinity Fuse, it has been tampered with, "This is beyond me" Joun thought to himself. He would have to inform engineering. He was after all, only a maintenance tech, a low level one at that since he wasn't even certified. Joun's Father fixed whatever he possibly could before paying anybody, it wasn't because he was good, he was just really cheap. One day he almost blew up the whole town and the surrounding 120 square miles, when he tried to fix his Nuclear Powered Honda! From then on out, Joun read every manual he could on anything his Dad owned.

Halligan York - Engineering Section

He breathed with a heavy sigh as the duffel bag of equipment was picked up off the ground by it's strap, bringing the strap over his shoulder and tightening it around his chest. Wiping his face with one hand and looking over the work he did on a series of circular, flashing lights that emitted a blue glow. They were finicky things, requiring a careful application of tools and a steady hand on them at all times, keeping them connected with a elaborate series of wires and lights that were hidden behind the ship's wall panels. Every day he had awoken to seem familiar flashing lights and long cords of expensive wiring, hastily getting to work with all the others on the maintenance crew as they got their hands and limbs deep into the technological intestines of the ship, finding all sorts of issues with broken parts, malfunctioning transformers, cut electrical wiring, and some wiring that had sparked and flickered with life, requiring a delicate touch to replace...

The blue lights that flashed and covered his face in a blue glow went out, Halligan sighed again. Now his face was cast in darkness, much like the couple of hours ago where he was sat in this same exact place, having believed these flickering circular devices so thoroughly checked and replaced would be repaired without needing to give it any more attention then necessary. 'Necessary' would have meant ten minutes, he had been stuck here for two whole hours. Two hours of ceaseless tool using, wrist turning, hand hurting and eye straining pain, all of which was over his shift by an hour.

And these flickering blue circular lights? They were connected to the warning system that went through the engineering section that would be connected to several warning systems on the bridge, allowing a single easy button-press to alert the engineering section of any issues. So fixing these circular devices wasn't just a priority- it was mandatory. Not that disaster was expected- nor did Halligan believe anything ill could even befall this massive cruise ship -but if a inspection came through from the ship's captain, or from some rich company-man, and SOMEONE found SOMETHING like this malfunctioning? Well, simply thinking about the consequences made Halligan stressed, which thankfully kept him focused for so long on fixing the broken parts.

But there was a reason he put all his tools in that duffel bag and now had it on his back. He didn't believe the malfunctioning parts were on his end, instead, he had reached the conclusion that someone on the bridge who operated the consoles and various devices either broken something, were unaware of the malfunction, or were simply too lazy to call in someone to fix a broken part. So, there was only one solution, that solution involving getting right onto a elevator and getting right up to the bridge and giving a stern talking to whomever was screwing around up there!

He got onto his feet, turning about to hear the sound of...music? Distant music, like one from an earpiece, and a cheery voice that could be easily explained once he looked up to see a recognizable try-out they had recently brought on board. Though admittedly Kayin didn't stand out to him for her personality, but more so because of her appearance, the burns on her right side had stood out to him when he first saw her. Cyborgs, robots, those things were familiar, even a amputee who was waiting on their robotic limb was something Halligan had seen in a hospital. But burn marks? They were old, but something seemed off about them...he would've thought blemishes like that would be easy to hide with modern technology, but trying not to be suspicious, he'd never stare for long- or even bothering thinking about it, some things are best left unexplored and unquestioned for now...

"You know, speaking of help," He'd say in a English accent, looking over at the chief engineer right after Kayin finished her question "I was wondering if I take a elevator and head up to the bridge. I'd be patient and keep working on the issues over here," he'd then point a thumb right behind himself, pointing towards the flickering circular lights and exposed wiring "but I think the issue is something on their end, not ours. Could talk to them over datapad to make it quick, but...I think they'd just ask one of us to come up and check their systems out anyway."

The roar of the music from behind him drove Leo into a frenzy, his guttural roars tearing at the ear drums of the moshing spectators. Each word was growled with a demonic bass that few vocalists past or present could even hope to achieve. With each guitar solo he would fling his head around, sending his hair around in a massive windmill. Human necks were not designed for such self inflicted force but years of headbanging had gave him and other metalheads surprisingly resilient necks.

Midway through the bands final song that night, he spotted a familiar face cutting through the hectic moshpit before him. Known to most the locals as Kal, he was the one to go to if you needed a little 'pick me up.' Leo was firmly a drinker, able to keep up with the best of them, but drugs for him were a firm no no. That being said what other people wanted to do was entirely up to them and he wasn't going to stick his nose in their business unless it started to become a problem. His bandmate Erik was a firm fan of the latest narcotic powder on the scene and had finished every set since boarding the ship with a healthy sized line of it.

Soon enough the last song of their set was done and the band took the applause of the crowd. Leo threw his fists in the air, looking out over the cheering masses. "Thank you all! We'll be back tomorrow night! Enjoy the rest of your evening!"

Leo disappeared backstage with his bandmates, picking up a wonderfully chilled beer can on his way back to the dressing room. The satisfying pop of the ring pull followed by the ecstacy of drinking the golden nectar causing Leo to exhale with a satisfying sigh. He felt a tap at his shoulder, turning to see Erik. Where Leo's head was topped with a long mane of hair Erik was as bald as a snooker ball. The man gestured with his head meaning only one thing. The pair set off on their way in search of Kal, still in their full stage gear.

The mysterious woman speaks in the darkened room. Of the cruise line, it's destination, the different classes, and some of the people in the different class levels (rich, medium, poor) that stood out to her and maybe the cause. Their cause.

The once frozen rogue and sinner lifts his hand and slowly puts it on her face. His hands still cold from his frozen rest. She finishes speaking, even though there was more to be said. A brief thought enters her mind, is he going to release her from this world like he has released so many others? Will the feeling of winter and a cool chill be the last thing she feels as the frozen hand rests on her cheek? "I met a woman long ago, her the black that black that can go. Are you a teacher of the heart? Soft she answered no. I walked into a room where none were sick and none was well. When at night I asked again, are you the teacher of the heart? "Yes but not for thee". In some lost place I had to find, the stars were gone but I didn't mind, I tried to follow but they walked behind. One morning I woke up alone and spent my hatred everyplace, on every work and on every face. And in that moment I wished, I wished for an embrace. If your only wish is too see darkness of every second of forever, embrace me" he tells her.

She holds him, and for a moment there is silence. "Are you the teachers of the heart? We teach old hearts to break" he whispers to her. "We will break all their hearts.................every single one of them. On this ship. We will break their hearts" he says.

"Open the doors" he says. As the first inch of light from outside inches forward.

Meanwhile:
Riot breaks out. A store on fire. Smoke coming from the top and middle floors of the tallest building. Broken windows. Shattered bones.
"Ever since it's been leaked that the body of infamous murderer and anarchist John Dacre has been moved and on it's way to a new location, the planets in this solar system has fallen prey to such activities as the one's happening right behind me" the reporter says across the screens and various audio formats aboard the ship (to whatever person on board is in tune to them). "The perpetrators are those that were part of his crimes and a new wave of criminals, most of them unstable, committing these crimes behind me. I have to leave now as the city is starting to lose control. But one question remains. Where is John Dacre?" she asks as she signs out and the camera goes off.

Ash had been in the middle of the dance floor, dancing away and trying to forget that she was on this ridiculous cruise ship. And it seemed to be going well -- her whole forgetting, and just letting herself get lost in the music, however boring it might be, when one of the server robots bumped into her and knocked her out of her reverie. The dancing stopped, getting lost in the moment stopped, and Ash had to catch her balance before she watched the robot as it continued on... and started ramming itself into a wall.

With a roll of her eyes, a glance back let her see the minor destruction it had caused. Spilled wine on an older woman that Ash faintly recognized as maybe Giulia, but not much else. Ash glanced around her, and then snatched up napkins from a different server bot that wasn't quite as much of a mess. She tossed them at the older woman, wincing when she realized that that was not going to make a difference. "Hey, that's probably going to stain." Yeah, totally stating the obvious, but still. Her attention then turned back to the broken bot.

Someone had already started over to try and fix it, but was stopped abruptly by none other than Richard -- and of course Ash knew who he was. Her father made it a point to try and know as many other wealthy families as he could, especially right before a cruise, and she'd heard all about him. A spoiled brat like nothing else, although one could argue the same for her.

Ash started to walk over while Richard was in the middle of a "conversation" with the technician asked to deal with the broken bot. She heard the very end of the conversation, the part where Sandra totally put him in his place, and Ash couldn't help the grin that grew across his face as she stopped by Richard, arms crossed over her chest.

"Hey, Richard." She said and how very fitting his name was. "Do you go by Rich or Dick? Never mind, either one is fitting." With simple greetings out of the way, Ash looked at his suit and the small stains. "Those should be easy enough to get out. I mean, as long as you have the money to pay for a proper cleaning service. You do, don't you?"

The bridge crew went about their regular daily tasks while a red light on one of the consoles began to flash quietly, going ignored. But surely that wouldn't mean anything at all. It must be something unimportant if no one was answering it.

A man wearing a lieutenants outfit walked over and switched the flashing red light off before returning to his own console position for a few minutes and then leaving the bridge in an unhurried fashion while muttering under his breath words that were practically unintelligible to any that wished to listen to it.

The human server after being pushed out of the way violently by the rich socialite, decided that it was best to get out of the way of the rich and powerful and took off. Probably to go let someone else know what was going on, or just to make sure they were out of the way before the sparks began to fly. Especially since the rich man started spewing venom with his words and showed no signs of stopping.

He caught the tail end of having both the engineer and the other socialite giving back to him twofold. It would almost seem unfair if that rich asshole hadn't pushed him out of the way for the sake of getting to the engineer.

Meanwhile, the serving bot continued to smash into the wall and eventually crumbled to the floor with a loud crash.

The team was in good spirits, even with Haghi having to repeat his question about the toast to Vera more than once. They all raised their glasses with David adding, "And to the best Team Leader that we've ever had!" before clinking their glasses together.

They were all so excited about the many different discoveries that could be had on such a world. It might be a violent place, with many dangerous types of flora and fauna, but the possibilities of what they could learn, were limitless. David was brimming with excitement over what they could learn from both the carnivorous animals especially considering preliminary samples illegally brought off world before the corporation put a clamp down on it.
Betty was still thinking about the previous time when they almost had a major breakthrough. It would happen this time, she was sure of it.
Haghi's arm band began to beep. "Ah. You guys keep enjoying. I have to take this call." And with that he walked out of the room and a little bit down the corridor.

The Grandparents smiled at their grandson as they watched and listened to his thought process. It was always nice to see them work through their own thoughts out loud, using the world at large as a sounding board for their ideas. They loved their grandson very much and were going to continue to enjoy him as much as they could.

"Yes. we can go to the arcade upstairs now and see the circus later at 4 when it opens. I'll get us the tickets at one of the kiosks there while you play around."

The grandparents led their grandchild up stairs to the wonderful excitement of the arcade. The bright flashing lights, loud noises and hordes of people of all ages might be too much for some, but not for them. It was a wonderment and a fun place to kill a few hours and spend some cash outside of the casino.

"Now you stay close to your grandma while I go get us the tickets. You let her know where you want to go first." And with that, he moved on through the crowd to go find a holo kiosk to order the tickets from.

The man in the coat almost jumped out of his clothing at the raised volume that the drug dealer had. But he kept his cool as best as he could. He nodded as he attempted to follow Kal through the heavy gyrating crowd. Bumping into people here and there, even knocked to the floor once. At one point the coat was moved around and some of his features could be seen. His face was very pale, with bright red piercing eyes on an extremely gaunt face and long sharp looking fingernails before he was able to pull his hood back over his head. The man was very bruised by the time he made it, but he made it through the crowd.

"Iii'm hhere. You ggot the sstuff?" He still seemed a bit jittery and most likely was already on something at least.

The music stopped and the people went back to their drinks, other than ones that went off into the corner in order to make out. The bartender turned on some basic loud music from some other band now that the live one was done with their set. Things seemed pretty normal other than the panel in the wall that seemed out of the depth of the mechanic sent to fix it.

The older engineer turned to Kaylin, still looking a tad perplexed before he spoke to her. "Its just this blasted gauge. The readings can't possibly be correct. If it was, the numbers would be off the chart and nothing on any of the other systems would support that. Maybe you can figure it out and see if I've missed something or it's just the lack of sleep getting to me."
He scratched the bald spot on his head as he moved out of the way so that Kaylin could check out the panel.

Sure enough, as she looked at the panel. It was saying that there was a massive power drain on the point energy core going towards the back half of the ship. But there was nothing of importance over there or at the very least, nothing that would support the power drain. Coordinating it with the other systems and panels, she would see that their readings didn't support the same findings. Something seemed very off.

As Halligan came over, the chief engineer listened to his report with interest. "Yeah, that sounds about right. The bridge crew never seem to know what they were doing on things like this. Probably could use a good fix on their end. If you want to take an elevator, there's a special one that goes right to the bridge."

He takes out a green keycard. "Here, take my keycard to get access. You'll find the elevator at the end of the hall. And don't lose that card."

The woman's heart was beating faster and faster. She was in the presence of a legend. A master of his craft and a true philosopher of chaos.

"Of course Boss. All of their hearts will break." She opens the doors and turns back to her master. "What shall we do with these guards before we go? Do you want the honors of ending their lives? Or shall O5 take care of it for you?" She gave a devious smirk as she leaned eagerly against the door. If she was to see the master at work, she wanted to be comfortable.

Giulia Gatti stood there in complete shock as her mind slowly registered what happened. "M-my dress...!" she sputtered before her full fury came spewing forth. "What is the meaning of this? I came here for a relaxing getaway, and I get even more stress!? Does this company not even keep their bots serviced? I deserve compensation! I NEED TO SEE A MANAGER!" She clutched the napkins from Ash, pressing them against the Advocaat-stained blue fabric.

Hell hath no fury like an angry rich woman on a cruise ship in the middle of space. "Dear god, hon, get a manager... and a cleaner!" Truly, it was a tragedy in Giulia's eyes. Any poor person would probably cry at the price tag for this dress: 800 dollars. Her gaze occasionally turned toward the defective bot, only to harden as she processed what to do next. As she rocked back and forth on her feet, shards of glass cracked beneath her feet, crushed under some high heels that were likely just as expensive.

The woman's eyes shot open as the orange text scrawled itself across the surface of her right eye; reflecting off the white florescent glint of the overhead lightbulbs. Reaching out in front of her, she siently disengaged the locks to the cargo pod and pushed the glass hatch forward; opening herself to the world beyond. Looking down and doing a quick movement test of her limbs, she was at least clothed in the same uniform she was shipped in. Looking like a common Civilian, yet operating as stand-in security. Weapons were forbidden for open use, and as such Nu-Lyfe had installed two molecular dispersion blades hidden within the back and front of her arms; visible black slots for the blades terminating at the carpal of her upper wrist, with another at her distal humorous. They wern't the most concealed, but it isn't like a threat would be able to get that close anyway. Striding to the stand-in desk, the gynoid gave herself a quick once-over in the mirror as she turned to glance toward the exiting door. Passengers of high-class societal standing were supposed to be out there, and she could already hear the commotion of one quite irate female. Striding toward the exit, the autodoor slid upward with a whir of freshly oiled hydraulics as the gynoid took her first steps out onto the luxury liner.

Immediately, her eyes darted over to the source of the commotion. She'd stepped out into a bar-restaurant hybrid. With her irises visibly twinting and constricting as she surveyed the area, they went back to normal as she concluded her analysis. This threat was low in severity, but the commotion from these Human passengers was not understood. There was no acute evidence of a fight to be found in the area, and this was even more confusing. Striding over to the area with an unnervingly blank expression, she found herself staring at the various patrons of the bar; scanning each and every one of them to detect any significant alterations in vitals or brainwave activity. Hailing the bridge, she sent a long-range transmission directly to the Captain of the ship.

Kayin excitedly turned her attention to the panel. Her fingers tapped a few things, looking through basic settings and checking if connections were all correct and nothing seemed to be giving off errors.

Nothing did.

She put the screen back to its original display, scratching almost the exact same spot her superior was scratching. But instead of a bald spot, with her a set of ruthless curls flopped about and messed up as she did so.

"I don't see anything wrong either boss! But maybe--"

One of the other engineers paced over. A man that looked to a fair bit older than her - it probably was the facial hair - and she studied him up and down. Little did poor Halligan know, the young woman did this with impure intentions.

Facial hair, well, it was just one of her 'things'.

Unfortunately nothing else about him was. Well. So far. Her over-imaginative mind couldn't help but try and figure out what 'box' to put him in. Brotherly figure? Close but not quite. Strong and silent? Maybe. Fatherly mentor? Yes. Yes that one fit best so far! She'd have to wait and see. Mentors weren't really in her favourite category of 'stereotypes', but...

Then again, there were one or two she'd encountered in one of her many dating sim games that still were her type, so who knew!

"Here, take my keycard to get access."

"Ah, that's it!" the woman exclaimed, pushing her glasses up as she was reminded of what was really important right now. "Sir, as I didn't notice any errors or common problems from the panel, it may be beneficial to look into the area personally! There could be a leakage in one of the cables, or maybe someone secretly snuck their Holo-Pad down there to charge. You know how kids are these days."

She huffed, beginning to rattle on. She never did know when to shut up.

"They get a Holo-Pad without an issue from their parents and they don't even know how to use them really. They just play those games on there even though it would be way better to-..."

Her chocolate eyes widened a little as she pressed her lips together, clearly aiming to stop herself in her own over-active tracks.

Robin gave an excited expression as his Grandparents agreed, walking quickly through the ships halls constantly checking back that he didn't get too far ahead of them. He was already thinking through his mind all the games he wanted to try out, of the prizes he could try and win. The people didn't bother him, outside not being always able to see past the busy crowds.

"Hmm, got it!" The boy nodded to his Grandpa as he left to get tickets. Where to go first? There was sooooo many attractions. He started to wander, slowly, with his Grandmother in toe as he looked around from game, to game, to amusement to amusement.

A short siren sounded from a large attraction at the centre of the room, catching the boy's attention and causing him to rush over though it still wasn't too far from his Gradma's side. The attraction was a bit of a centre-piece in the room as a kid stepped out of the cylindrical chamber. It was an amusement called Gravity Tag that only the larger arcades had. The concept was pretty simple, you had 120 seconds, and up and down the chamber there were a number of targets on the transparent walls that would light up. Your objective was to maneuver by jumping off the walls, the floor, the ceiling, whatever you wanted and tag as many targets as you could before time was up - Or baring all that, you could just show-off and have fun doing cool flips and tricks in Zero-G!

Robin's eyes were fixed upon the neon lights that ran up the chambers walls, the flashing targets, plus the cool sound effects they had the chamber play, it all had his attention caught. A fact that would be obvious to his Grandma as he stood there just watching somebody else's go start, and their movements in the air.
Only problem was as far as attractions went, it was on the more expensive side for the Middle-Class area, a round on this would be be like ten tickets compared to the single one for a normal arcade game - A fact Robin was all too self-conscious of, leaving him to just watch for the moment while he waited for his Grandpa's return, and unwilling to ask if he could give it a try.

The Bridge
All seemed quiet on the bridge until the Captain spotted something out the front window. Something that worried him to the ninth degree. "Dear God" was all he exclaimed before he started barking orders to the rest of the bridge crew. If they were to possibly die here, he was going to do his damn best to ensure that most of the crew and passengers survived.

The Captain got onto the speaker as the alarms started to blare. Red flashing light came out of the walls. The floors had red arrows appeared on the floor and the walls directing people in the direction of the nearest escape pods.

"ALL HANDS ABANDON SHIP! I REPEAT ALL HANDS ABANDON SHIP! THIS IS NOT A DRILL! MOVE TO YOUR NEAREST ESCAPE POD AND FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS OF THE CREW! I REPEAT ALL HANDS..........

Then static followed as the voice of the captain cut out. The ship rocked as though something hit it and began to shake.

With the announcement, the people were in a panic. Especially with the way that the captain's voice cut out so unexpectedly. Most of the crew were attempting to keep order as the rich socialities began to push, shove and tackle each other to find a way to get off of the ship.

Over the din of the yelling and the fighting, a single voice could be heard, most likely a crew member trying to maintain order, "Please stay calm. Follow the red flashing lights to the nearest escape pods in a calm and orderly fashion."

The voice was soon lost as the din became louder when the shouting started with renewed vigor.

Looking around there were 4 different sets of flashing lights. To the North, East, South, and West that seemed to lead to different sets of escape pods

--------------------

The scientists all looked worried as the alarms blared and the captain told everyone to abandon ship. They looked towards their leader as they were too stunned to react properly. Here they were at one moment celebrating a momentously happy occasion and now everything has gotten dangerous.

Haghi however was no where to be found. Either he left them while he was outside the room, or got swept up in the massive crowd that was trying to get to an escape pod.

Robin's Grandmother had smiled at the boy. It was obvious that he wanted to go on the more expensive attraction. And he was here to have a good time. "Go on in Robin. Enjoy yourself." She smiled as she moved him along and made sure that the operator knew that the tickets would be coming shortly as soon as her husband came over from the kiosk.

As Robin was set up in the attraction, his grandfather arrived with the tickets and the zero g event was started. Then the alarms began to blare and the Captain spoke his words to abandon ship. The ride operator immediately took off, leaving the two Grandparents looking bewildered as they tried to figure out how to turn off the machine.

At the Club, those that were not wasted or toasted out of their mind, started dashing for the nearest escape pods. Pushing and shoving each other out of the way. They for sure didn't want to be stuck on a ship that might crash or even explode. No one knew what was going on. And they weren't going to stick around to find out.

The guy in the coat decided that now he was going to make sure he got those drugs, one way or another and tackled Kal in an attempt to get the goods. "Give it to me!" he snarled as his hood came off of his face. He looked pale and feral. Very gaunt with sunken eyes and long barred sharp teeth to go with long clawed like hands. "I need it!!"

The Chief engineer smiled at Kayin. She reminded him of himself in his youth, eager to please and eager to find solutions to major problems. She would be definitely going places. In fact, if she kept up this level of work, he'd have to recommend her for a raise at the very least. The excted rambling of course, would have to be something that she might have to work on. But if that was her way of problem solving, than it was probably something that was going to stay.

He patted her on the left shoulder with his right hand as a mentor like gesture.

"Absolutely. Go check it out and see what you can find." He gave her a smile, "Hopefully you'll be able to get to the bottom of this. Before it becomes a major issue of course."

He sent her on her way and she got part of the way before the alarms started blaring and the Captain's voice came through portending the bad news that they needed to abandon ship. Kayin would be able to see the red arrows on the floor and the wall that were leading her to the nearest escape pod.

Back in engineering, the Chief engineer started trying to file the remaining engineers out of the section and into the nearest escape pod before telling them to close it and get on their way. He needed to make sure that Kayin was able to get into an escape pod. She was his responsibility. He raced off after her.

The Bowels of the ship
Funeral Funeral

As the alarms blared, at first they thought they might have gotten found out, that a squadron of security robots were going to burst out from the wall and gun them down before they could enact any of their chaos. But then, the announcement of the Captain came through.

The woman turned to her boss and spoke. "I guess someone or something beat us to the Chaos first. Shall I escort you to the escape pod, Boss?"

The lights showed the nearest escape pod, which was not too far away from the bowels of the ship. Screaming and running could be heard, even down there.

He puts his hands on her face. The lights signaling danger shine bright, the deafening alarms, and the chaos all around them. He doesn't flinch as he sees the sense of worry and anxiousness on her face to leave. With his hands cupping her face, he looks into her eyes and speaks. "You're awake. Imagine the tree's are endless, they give you a vertigo sensation." he says softly. "You stand on the edge, the wind blows carrying a song behind you. It reaches the front and it's cool, the wind. The sun is gone but there is a light. It's day and night at the same time. It's just you and a song you used to know. And it's like this................forever. No truths, no lies, and no words to be spoken. Do you seek that rest?" He asks her. He puts his hands down and holds his hand out to hers. "I'm not bringing chaos. There will never be rest. No rest between the classes. The lower class will never have the resources and goods of the upper class. And the upper class will never have the compassion and a heart that embraces those that crawl on their hands and knees. Everyone is incomplete. Only nothingness will complete them. Only nothingness will end those that hunger and thirst and only nothingness will end those that are full and whose thirst is quenched but don't feel. Follow me to nothingness".

Her expression changes. The sense of rush and worry to leave escapes her. He holds his hand out to her to go to the pod and end up..............wherever they will end up.

This man’s fiending, Kal thought as he watched his new customer struggle to get through the mosh pit. Even if he wasn’t fiending he couldn’t blame him for having difficulty traversing through the audience. Leo and his band were good at what they did and after hearing the routine a couple of times now, Kal knew that they were about to finish with a bang.

When the cloaked man finally reached him, Kal also spotted a familiar bald head heading his way. It was Erik, and with another glance, it seemed that Leo was following him. He would need to get this deal done fast. The band were ‘VIP’ customers. They spent a lot and Kal was happy to give them preferential treatment. In his business it was all about customer satisfaction, and the little things went a long way.

Before he could get a word out to the man, the emergency lights turned the club bright crimson. If it weren’t for the blaring horns, the club would have looked just as it was. Flashing lights and people piling on top of eachother. But now, its patrons wore faces of panic and shouted in fear.

Suddenly Kal found his back against the dingy club floor. The man now unhooded tackled him to the floor. His face was unnaturally pale and would probably welcome on one of those horror holo vids that everyone raved about these days. His hands began searching through Kal’s jacket, fishing through pockets, undoubtedly looking for the vials of narcotics. A few credits had spilled out in the scuffle, much to Kal’s dismay.

“Get your f***ing hands off of me you freak!” he roared. It was not the first time Kal had been jumped. On the Lunar colonies you would seldom find a man that had never thrown down, especially in this line of work. However, the combination of the chaos with the ship evacuation and this surprise assault had left Kal slightly dazed.

After what seemed like an eternity his adrenaline finally kicked in and with that a boiling rage. Kal attempted to jab both of his thumbs into the man’s eye sockets. Kal was going to blind this tweaker, if not kill him, and it didn’t matter if he did not make it to an escape pod. No one got the jump on him and walk away unbloodied.

A sudden lurch ripped the gynoid out of her scanning protocol. The message relayed throughout the speakers sounded worried, urgent. The Captain had suddenly declared an emergency abandon of ship, and it didn't help that a civilian's first reaction to stress was to immediately panic. Plotting a mental layout, Astra deducted that one of the least occupied paths to the pods would be the Southern path. The humans were like a stampeding herd of animals; primal fear guiding their every decision. Watching the scene play out before her, Astra quickly accessed the ship's layout and cross-referenced the map with a simulation of rapid crowd dispersal through four narrow chokepoints leading to the escape pods. Casualties immediately flooded the hypothetical simulation as people were crushed, immobilized, suffocated, and incapacitated due to rapidly surfacing medical conditions in moments of high stress. Everything in her subroutines pointed toward death for these humans, and this already served to be in direct violation of her main protocol. Yet, it if meant saving one, or a few, hopefully it would be worth something in the long run.

Scanning the people among the crowd, she immediately picked out three; her HUD highlighting them in a bright orange outline. Beginning with the two of the trio that were arguing with one another, she broke out into a brisk stride and took every shouldering blow with minimal stagger and kept pushing forward until she reached the duo. Raising her voice to project above the crowd to be within earshot of these two and the woman at the dance floor, Astra looked at them as her irises seemed to spin rapidly as she spoke with an eerily urgent, yet baseline emotionless tone of voice. "You three, follow me to the escape pods. You need to evacuate this ship immediately."

The whole ship felt as if it shook, and then there were blinking lights, and the voice that sounded over the intercom was just... ridiculous. Ridiculously chirpy, and it did nothing to calm the masses. Ash tried to find her father through the crowd, but she couldn't see anyone and instead, she felt herself being pushed through the crowd.

A woman's voice caught her attention, and Ash looked towards a woman that was speaking to her and a couple others. One last glance around the dining room, and then Ash swallowed her fear and nodded. "Okay. Lead the way." She called out as she pushed her way through the others to come stand beside the other woman.

Were they going to die? They were totally going to die... right? And normally, Ash wouldn't be so willing to follow a total stranger, but she had no idea how to get to the escape pod. Or... she did, but she was scared. And this woman was calm, and Ash desperately needed someone to be calm and just... tell her what to do. Where to go.

When her superior smiled at her and patted her shoulder with a firm, fatherly hand, she couldn't help but beam at him. Immediately she was reminded of her own dad. After a moment or two her smile faded a little.

She was homesick.

But she couldn't linger on that just yet. She had an important mission! Her plump lips curled to a wide smile at the Chief Engineer, giving him a cheerful salute before practically bolting off out of the engineering-section. It was comical, almost, and a surprise smoke wasn't puffing from her heels.

"Pfeh."

It took only a minute or two for the woman to slow down. Stamina, or any exercise, had never been her strong suit. She was all brains! She smirked a little proudly at herself, thinking of how she hopefully impressed her superior...

...when the alarms went blaring.

Red arrows flashed on the walls and underneath her feet. Her ears rung from the loud sounds- and panic set in.

Everything else was wiped from her mind. The only thing that kept repeating was; 'I need to live'. Her stress increased, her hands began to shake as her feet carrier her as quick as she could to the nearest escape pod.
