Fantasy Sunnybrooke Chatter

I'll edit the map as soon as I can.

As for relationships, due to everyone so far not growing up in Sunnybrooke, I guess we can't have long time friendships or the like. Especially in regards to Frost, if they moved to town after he took over the farm. But of the ones we do have . . .

I imagine Eis going to Liam a lot to learn about the stars. He could idolize him too with him being a scientist as such. Not as much as he idolizes ranchers, and shepherds, but still. MouseDuke MouseDuke Also, glad to have an astronomer, for plot reasons.

I'll try to think of others.

Also, SheepKing SheepKing
"Of course being a bartender, Ally needs to be able to have a welcoming personality to not scare off any potential customers. She doesn't judge whoever walks though the doors whether it is a snobby piece of trash or the smelliest hobo in the world. All that matters is by the end, they pay for their drink and leave."

I can't wait to put that to the test, for plot reasons.

Cyrille has lived in Sunnybrooke for the past 9 years, though I notice that wasn't explicitly stated by me, oops.

She managed to get the money for a farm at 17? Damn, her parents must've been rich.

Anyway, that means she would've come to Sunnybrooke when the twins were 11. With that sort of age difference and all the work she would've had to do to get her farm going, I don't know if they would've hung out as friends. Maybe work related stuff, but that would more be with their parents than them. And after taking over the farm, maybe Snow could've chatted with her but Frost would've been too busy with work. They'd at least know each other, but that could be said of anyone in town. Hm . . . I need to think more on this.

But given that this is sort of going nowhere, should I just put up the thread sometime today or tomorrow and hope things work out for the best?

A few years of working in the city and money from selling land for the money(although it was sold during a drought, so that wasn't *too* much help).

I don't know if they would've hung out as friends.
I was more so pointing out how long she's been there for the "can't have long time friendships" thing you'd said earlier, because if you can't manage to make a single friend in nine years, it would need a deliberate "I don't want friends" type of person to do that.

But given that this is sort of going nowhere, should I just put up the thread sometime today or tomorrow and hope things work out for the best?
I suppose that's the only thing we've got to do. We've got 6(seven counting the wip application) people so far. Shouldn't be too troublesome to get things going, considering I was also thinking of making another character, probably a native to Sunnybrooke considering how many outsiders we've got already.

Also: I just noticed how the name "Eis" connected to Frost and Snow. It sounds like "ice" and I'm disappointed in myself for not realizing that sooner

Not necessarily. Discussing relationships is actually vital in this sort of roleplay. This isn't the sort of story where strangers are thrown together. These people, even those who've moved to town, are neighbors in a close-knit, small town. They should've interacted at some point, especially in regards to characters like yours who've been there a long time. Setting up character dynamics allows up to skip that awkward first step of "how do the characters act around another," getting over bad first impressions, and forming the initial acquaintanceship. Wich was why I was hoping we could've done that before actually starting the thread.

It's not impossible to start without it but it certainly helps.

True. I wasn't actually thinking about it in that regard. I guess we should work on that first, assuming there's more than just you and I who are going to be participating in this chat

I figure that since they're so close to age, Max and the twins have probably played together when they were young. They may have drifted apart a bit, due to becoming involved in their hobbies at 10, but I imagine they're still on amicable terms. Frost probably calls him "Snyder" rather than "Max" though. Eis probably spends a lot of time in the library as well.

Also, why'd he get a piano.

I may put up the thread tomorrow. I think it might be the two of us for now, if this thread is anything to go by, maybe Sheepking too. But we can get more people along the way maybe.

Okay, I actually completely forgot to remove that part while editing bits and pieces of him. At first, I was going to have Max be something like an instrument junkie, with the piano being the last straw for how many instruments they'd have in their library-home. I guess we'll go with uh... Why not get a piano? lol, I actually don't have much for that to go with how he turned out in the end.

Yo

Hi Sheep.

Eis may have a puppy crush on the bartender. Though I imagine he's too young to understand her sarcasm. I also imagine Snow may talk to her sometimes too. Especially during tourist season, since they both deal with outsiders. If Ally ever wants fowers for her bar, Snow will hook her up.

Not sure if I should make the drinking age 18 or 21. I mean, it's a fantasy world. I could make it 15 if I wanted . . .

SheepKing SheepKing I feel like Cyrille would be spending a bit of time in the bar before heading out to the town square every once in a while. She'd probably be friends/acquaintances with Ally, I presume?

I put up the rp thread, here. Any questions are welcomed. Also, for the sake of simplicity, money is just coins. No name. Just coins.

amdreams amdreams I'm gonna turn that little girl in my post into a character so Max can have a friend lol.

Edit: I said that they use F-1 for now but if anybody wants it I'll change it. c: I was just putting somethin' together.
