It's not me until I pull on a few heartstrings.
Alexis (Lexi) Stone
"Looks like the movie is starting. And...I'd be interested in seeing some of your sketches sometime. Maybe I can look through them while Ollie tries on the designs...I can tell you if they are accurate or not."
Lexi looked at Ian as he spoke, and as soon as he brought up the sketches, she felt like a deer in the headlights. Her face drained of all color and her eyes wide, she was at a loss for words. For one, she was always shy about her sketches, but especially when the person that she constantly drew was asking to see them.
"W-what?" she stuttered, "How did you know I sketched? I thought you never saw me before..." Lexi was rambling now, trying to distract both herself and Ian from the drawings. She has several sketchbooks, some of her Ideas, and the others just to draw. Her drawings were her window to the world around her, especially when her grandfather was known to forget, due to his illness. There is a high risk of her and the rest of her family to get the same illness.
Biting her tongue, she looked down to her feet as she remembers the last time she saw her grandfather, it was the hundredth day she had to introduce herself to him. She eventually stopped being Alexis to him and began to be different people to him, it was too much for her to handle. So her sketches are the picture she had personally captured, along with notes to what was going on my head at the time.
She finally found her voice, it was no longer as cheery as before, but she announced, "Those sketches are special to me... I don't let people see them..." As the movie began she kept her chin on her knees as she watched silently, but emotionless.

Samuel (Sam) Nightlock
Saren closed the large textbook before her as she tapped Sam's chest with the pen. Sam followed the pen as it went to his chest as he listened to her speak. Smirking at the action he answered her, "Well, I guess you just have to find them in the wild like you did with me." He laughed at the thought of Saren in safari clothing, in search for her next passionate partner for her shelter.
As Saren continued to talk, Sam followed through her information, along with the images that she opened up on the desktop screen. They were rough sketches, but they were detailed well as she showed what she was envisioning for the shelter. Sam nodded as she went. Placing his elbow on the counter, he continued to listen in, but she spoke so fast that it didn't allow Sam to answer, but he allowed her to speak her mind.
"I'm not thinking too much too fast am I?? Maybe? On a lighter subject, would you mind telling me how you met Luke? You mentioned a shelter when I first met you guys, but how exactly was it? How did you know he was the one."
Sam burst out in laughter as he watched her worry, which soon turned to excitement. Once he was calm he began to recall the time he meets his furry companion. "I didn't meet him at the shelter, at first. I found him, tied to a light post one night when I sneaked out one summer night. He was so thin and clearly scared, he was a pup too. I took him to the shelter I knew would still be open at one in the morning. I watched as they rushed him to the operating table..." he pauses recalling the sad look on Luke's face. Sam remembered it so vividly as if it was yesterday. It showed nothing but fear, as Sam let them take him away from him.
"It was the moment I saw his eyes grow dim, thinking that I had abandoned him as well, was the moment I knew I had to keep him," Sam's eyes began to tear up a bit as he recalled the poor dog cry out for him, "They told me to go home, that he was in good hands now, but I didn't move. I demanded them to let me be in the room. They were hesitant, but I wasn't leaving. I didn't care if they would call the cops to take me home, I didn't care I knew I was going to be in trouble with my father, all that mattered at that moment was getting Luke back to health and in my care."
Sam has a thousand mile stare, this tears finally falling down his face, "They were going to euthanize him... they didn't have hope in Luke's recovery, but I wasn't going to stand by and allow them to do it. I barged into the room and took Luke with me. I gave him food and love, that was all he needed at that point in time. Now he's six years old and the happiest dog how loves to make me suffer, but I love him no matter what..."
Sam wiped his face, and sighed, "Sorry, I don't get like this normally, but Luke was the one that helped me through my youth. All I have ever done the past five years has been for him and my family, they are what get me out of bed in the morning. I guess that experience made me want to become a vet. I don't want the first option for an animal to be euthanasia, getting them healthy and happy should always be the first option to cross a vet's mind."
