Black Horralsnake
Under the light of a full moon, a geezer desperately ran toward a tower crumbling into ruins. His straight back was covered in a vibrant blue robe. A staff, adorned with precious stones on the tip, occupied his left hand. His wide stride and waving hands, combined with the cone hat slipping off his head and large sleeves made him quite a comical figure that night. Nevertheless, if a farmer was to witness this scene, he would not dare to laugh.

The only people permitted to wear such a robe was a Magus.

Never mind laughing. If a Magus was to order two villages to kill each other until only one person remained, the commoners must kowtowed at his feet, killed their neighbour and family without any hesitation, and thanked the gracious Lord Magus for being benevolent and merciful enough to let one of them alive. Such was the status of a Magus in Magus World.

Kendrick Rutheus was a Rank 3 Magus on the Southern Coast of Magi Continent. On the Southern Coast, a Rank 3 Magi was a king who could tyrannize without any fear of a backlash. However, the situation changed when the Farlier Bloodline had a new patriarch with a strengthened bloodline; the bloodline of the Kemoyin Serpent.

Almost there, murmured Kendrick in his heart as the entrance to his Wizard Tower became closer. However, the light in his face was crushed when the sinister hiss of a snake entered his hearing.

"Fly, my darlings!" cried the Magus in Byron Language, the language of magic.

His cry called his familiars from their slumbers. Drakes and land dragons climbed out of magic portals, roaring toward the line of trees, as if trying to show off their might to the world. Kendrick did not slow his step, however. And his decision was a correct one.

A mouth suddenly appeared out of thin air, devouring the reptile monsters in one bite. Kendrick broke into a cold sweat and cast a barrier spell when the ground in front of him suddenly moved. His intuition worked in his favour again. Moments after his barrier was put in action, a huge pair of fangs bit into the magic shield, destroying the spell instantaneously.

Heavens! That was a barrier made using condensed spiritual force! It should have taken a Magus with average aptitude at least two attacks before the spell dissipated. Kendrick's face paled as the fang retreated. From the hole in the ground, scaly black body slithered out. A blackhorral snake.

Just the vertical part of its body was enough to swallow Kendrick whole. It stood at 4 meters talls, with body and tail to spare. Kendrick knew that his countdown until his soul was sent to the astral plane had started.

No! He couldn't die like this! His face turned determined.

"Cage of Vitality!"

From the barren land, vines suddenly shot up, tangling and binding the snake. However, for every vines that bind it, two others were removed by the sheer strength of the snake. Kendrick knew he didn't have much time.

The Magus took out an ancient scroll from his Spatial Ring. The scroll held a Rank 7 Spell! It was a scroll won by the patriarch of Rutheus bloodline after bleeding the clan's treasury dry. As he was the only remaining Magus of Rutheus line, Kendrick didn't hesitate to use it.

"Rank 7 Spell: Astral Summoning!"

Light filled the dark night and briefly turned it to light. Under the brilliance, everything seemed to freeze. The black horralsnake. Kendrick. The wind.

Even time itself.

Black Horralsnake
You were doing something. Then suddenly you were somewhere else. The change was instantaneous. You were even still holding whatever you held. Suddenly you were standing on a forest ground. The earth was soft below your feet. Trees hid the horizons all around. An old tower stood tall among the trees. You might be curious about the tower, but something else stood out.

A motherf##king giant snake.

The snake was covered in black scale. It was half as tall as the tower, its body as large as the trunk of a tree. The snake glared at you with its blood red eyes. You realised that it was restrained by vines coming out of the ground. And you also realised if not for the vines, the snake would have long pounced at you.

"At...tack...it...!"

You heard a voice. Behind you, stood an old man dressed like a classic wizard. The wizard pointed at the snake with his jewel-crested staff. His movement was slow, and his speech was so as well.

"Hur...ry...!"

For some reason, time slowed down for you.

Ryuga Banjou

tumblr_ozlb42fVYY1wrt8h0o1_1280.jpg
In the middle of the plaza, former boxer Ryuga Banjou sat beside the fountain, in front of him was a mat filled with various silver machines that doesn't seem to have any purpose. Since he had no job nor anywhere he could fight on as a boxer, Ryuga had to earn money for both him and Sento, who had made these machines to sell as toys. Well, they're supposed to be toys anyway, considering the Silver Spiderbox was used as an accessory to the Build Driver by an alien...Actually, were all of these meant to be add-ons to the Build Driver? Regardless, today doesn't seem to be selling well. In fact, no one had bought anything.

"Okay, one more time..." Ryuga pumped himself up as he let out a sigh, standing up as he then yelled, "COME AND--!"

Ryuga was suddenly cut off by the sudden change in scenery that occured in a blink of an eye. He was suddenly standing in the middle of a clearing in a forest somewhere. Somewhere with a tower nearby along with a giant snake...Wait what.

"WHAT THE HELL?!" Ryuga yelped in surprise as he fliched, taking a step back as he prepared to take whatever the snake was about to do. From then on, he noticed the vines that restrained the snake, along with a voice calling out behind him, telling Ryuga to attack the snake.

"Seriously...?" Ryuga sighed, taking out what appears to be a crank with two bottle slots on it, placing it on his lower abdomen as a yellow belt wrapped around it's waist, securing it in place. "I don't get what's happening, but..." He said as he took out a dragon-like box and bottle, inserting the bottle onto the dragonbox's bottle slot.

WAKE UP!

Ryuga then slammed it into the belt's bottle slots.

CROSS-Z DRAGON!

Ryuga cranked the lever a few times, clear tubes emerging from the belt and formed halves of a suit in front and behind him, along with a dragon like vest on the side.

ARE YOU READY?!

Ryuga loosened his shoulders before slamming his fist onto his palm. "Henshin!" He yelled out as he took on a running start, the belt letting out a 'ding!'

WAKE UP BURNING! GET CROSS-Z DRAGON! YEAH!

The armor halves closed in Ryuga's body, locking it in place as the dragon vest attached itself onto his back and chest, steam hissing out of the armor's cracks.Clad in armor, Ryuga rushed over to the giant snake, cranking the lever once more until he got near.

READY?! GO!! DRAGONIC FINISH!

Ryuga leapt high, a blue energy dragon manifesting behind him, blowing blue flames that pushed him towards the giant snake, performing a mid-air cross kick.

"Awwww man! I was just gonna beat my previous Sumo Slammers record!"

Ben Tennyson was displeased as a strange summoning to this new world interrupted his video games. No matter, there were more pressing matters.

"Well, I have been itching to whip one of my aliens out in a while," Ben grins, optimistic about the situation. "It's hero time!"

Ben smacked dialed the Omnitrix, causing the faceplate to pop up, before he smacked it down. A flash of green light veiled his body...

Ben's skin began to transform into solid rock, before his head and body began to spark ablaze.

"Heatblast! Wait, did I just- you know what, I'll think of this later."

The burning alien Heatblast steps out of hiding, then starts off by firing off a stream of fire at the snake, burning at its scales. He then looks to the person beside him who unleashed a rather signature Rider Kick.

"Really? A finisher at the start of the whole shebang? That's totally uncool man!"

Ryuga bounced off of the snake and landed right beside what appears to be a rock man that's constantly on fire, calling him out on using a finisher too early.

"Oh, shut up! That thing can take a beating anyway!" Ryuga snarled as he got up, cracking his fist before glancing at the alien. He raised his hand to the side, the belt creating a clear tube filled with blue liquid which forms into a sword with a meter on it and a hole on it's guard. It was true though. The snake didn't look like it was fazed by the kick at all...This feels like the Evol thing all over again! He soon charged at the snake once more, slashing at it's hide with the sword in hand.

Berserker

It was quiet. Berserker was remembering the failure of protecting his master. He remembered how a blonde haired man had injured him to the point he couldn't move. He remembered his master, a young child, getting her heart ripped out by the said man. He couldn't do the one thing he was supposed to do, and lost in the end as he faded from existence.

Or so he thought. He soon woke in a forest. This forest had a tower in the distance, but Berserker had more things to worry about. Where is he? How did he get here? What is this place? He would have to wait as he heard fighting close by. Berserker would turn towards the direction the fighting was, and run towards it, his feet slamming into the ground, making foot sized craters as he ran.

Berserker soon came across three people, or one, plus a masked being ( Thepotatogod Thepotatogod ) and some kind of fire demon ( Crow Crow ), fighting a giant snake. That snake reminded him of the Hydra he fought on his quest to clear twelve trials. He remembered how horrible the trials were. These trials were created by the goddess he disliked severilly. Remembering the torture Hera put him through, Berserker let out a huge roar that could rival a dragon's, "Graaaaaaaaagh", before Berserker Charged at the serpent, his sword Axe raised.

He got up close, Swinging down at the serpentine body, at full strength, aiming to end it quickly.

Huntress

The night was quiet, and the air was thin. The party had been traveling up the mountain side for the past few days now in hopes of finding another cave chock-full of Grave Worshippers, but alas, there were none. Travas swore there should've been more reports of the bastards, but Huntress was very sure that if there were any more, there should've been some undead to chop up along the way, before gently poking an arrow into Atheia's shoulderblade, the party's vampire. They decided that they would stop somewhere alongside the thinning woods as they got nearer to the mountain top, and Huntress volunteered herself for first shift.

However, it had been some time since she hadn't volunteered for first shift. She always took the longest hours, and therefore slept the least. Just as she thought her vision was playing tricks on her, something glided along the forest floor, just out of sight. Movement just barely undetectable, it was hard for even her to track. Slowly, she crept to her party's tank, a large ogre of an orc named Köv, and began violently jostling his shoulder until his eyes winked open.

"Köv! Wake up, I think-"

The brute had barely processed what had happened, but figured that whatever it was, Huntress took care of it already, and rolled back over to sleep.

Suddenly, Huntress was in a very different woods, crouching over a particularly large stone. Her eyes widened underneath her magically face-concealing hood as she backed up. Immediately she took inventory of the situation. She wasn't with her friends, she was in an entirely new area, and... Snake. Very, very large snake. A voice eked from behind her to put down the massive creature, who was already under attack from a pleathora of strange creatures. A fire elemental of some sort, an incredibly burly man, and... She didn't know. A particularly gaudy knight of some sort? But where would you even get that armor?

Irrelevant. There was a big snake, and apparently, she had to fight it.

"I don't do quests for free, or off guild old man, but I'll consider this one a favor." She spouted angrily before she found her bow in her hands, sending arrow after arrow into the beast's eyes with pinpoint accuracy. Even the shots that didn't seem like they wouldn't hit anything useful found themselves veering straight for the beasts's most vulnerable parts, her hail of fire even magically weaving around the melee combatants trying to cut down the snake piecemeal.

Lealan ran along the burning landscape, her blade sparking along the ground. She dashes between cultists, slicing them apart as she continues her rampage, a gleeful, psychotic laugh bubbling from her throat. As the last of the bodies falls, she turns to a stack of crates nearby. Before she can take them apart, the familiar sensation of teleporting envelop her senses. Now she is in a forest? She didn't want to teleport.

A voice commands her to kill the snake, and that's enough reason for her!!

She jumps into the air, and dashes along the serpents body, slashing across it's body as she ran.

"SSSSSSlashy, Sssssslashy, Ssssssslashy!~"

She hisses with glee as she butchers her victem, Rainbow blade leaving a beautiful trail of sparkles in the wake of her violence.

Black Horralsnake
As soon as Ryuga's kick hit its target, time returned to normal. Wind blew as normal. And the twelve summoned beings were in danger greater than before. The snake shook off the impact like it was nothing. It hissed angrily as it moved violently to shake off the vine restraining its movement.

The snake was not imprisoned for long. The fire from Heatblast gave the black horralsnake the space it needed to finally break free of the vines. Kendrick's face paled as he received the backlash of the spell; breaking the vines forcibly cut his connection to the earth. He spitted out some blood as he used his robe to wipe the blood flowing out of his ears as well. The snake hissed angrily as the fire continued to burn his scales. The area hit by the fire turned red from the intense fire.

It was a pride Black Horralsnake! A descendant of the noble Kemoyin Serpent Emperor line! How dare these puny creatures, too small for it to even snack on, damage it noble self!

The snake, now free of constraint, moved more freely. It used its tail, thick as a man's torso to smack Ryuga and Lealan off its body and flying toward Heatblast. A shout soon attracted his attention. It was Hercules, a Grandmaster Knight in the snake's eyes! Grandmaster Knights were delicious. The snake lunged in toward Hercules, attempting to swallow him whole. However, before it could clamp down its mouth, it felt a sting in its eyes.

Huntress' arrows reached their mark. The snake hissed angrily as it turned toward her. Instead of attacking with its mouth, its huge body threatened to crush Hercules with sheer weight.

Meanwhile, Huntress was facing another trouble. A mouth trying to swallow her whole!

Berserker

Berserker saw the serpentine body lash out at him, aiming to break his bones. He however stabbed his sword axe into the ground, and rushed forward, before putting his arms up, catching the weight of the beast. He felt like he was holding up the sky, like the time he had done so to get the golden apples. However, unlike the sky, this serpent was not going to flatten the world if he let go. So, the Berserker quickly lifted up, and threw as hard as he could, sending the snake flying.

After getting thrown backwards via tail, Lealan reorients herself mid air and uses her Multi Jump to avoid crashing into the Fiery creature. A quick Energy Dash throws her back toward the giant snake, which is now distracted by trying to munch on someone else. A small shift with her Matter Manipulator swaps her
Asuterosaberu DX with a Grappling Hook and A Dragonhead Pistol.

Lealan tries to grapple onto the snakes back and anchor herself with it, while she fires upon it's flesh with the pistol, randomly swapping between regular burst shots and charged shots.

"Pew, pew pew, Glaow, pew pew pew, Glaow!"

She narrates each shot, joy dancing in her eyes. What a worthy HUNT!~

"Uh, my bad! Didn't mean to!"

Heatblast realised what he did, but it seemed that everyone was so focused on tossing the snake around. With that, he lifted a chunk of the earth directly beneath him, using it to float around and fly at great speeds. While all others would be responsible for more grounded combat, Heatblast was bent on burning it from above, scorching its body with searing hot streams of flames!

As he observed the fight, he tossed the giant, molten-surfaced burning rock that he floated on into the beast's gaping mouth, disabling its ability to crunch and chew before it could even touch Huntress!

"So, there's this white room. And then, there were many people whom I hadn't even met, from across places that weren't even on Remnant."

People not from Remnant... Okay, I want to believe her, but what she's saying here doesn't make sense. I thought there was just Remnant, and there was even a world before that, which used to exist, until the God of Darkness wiped out everyone from there and...yeah... I'll ask her about whatever she said about those people.

"Wait. So there's people, who are not even from our world."

"Yes. You should've seen it for yourselves--Ruby, you, Yang, everyone here. I've disappeared from Remnant, they disappeared from their own respective worlds, and then there was much confusion as to where they and I were by then."

The sun is setting, and we're still yet to arrive at Atlas. I'm just sitting down against the interior of a Mantra, which we took from the Atlesian outpost, checking Myrtenaster for any damage, as well as any shortage of Dust. So far, so good. Sometimes, I can forget how sturdy this thing is, myself. Served me good for a few years, and this Multi-Action Dust Rapier's still at it. Unlike Blake's own weapon, unfortunately...

Anyways, where was I? So, she was talking about several people, herself included, suddenly vanishing, and then ending up in that white room. Even when I've witnessed Ozma--Ozpin and Salem's whole history through Jinn and the history surrounding them, even when I've seen numerous Grimm...it all seems new, and I believe her for that. The way she's describing it, that reminds me. My older sister, Winter, once told me a fairy tale as I was going to bed that one time. My father, he...he never did that.

Oh, Winter.

"And then there's that guy on a TV screen... Never before had I seen someone look that ugly, but my goodness, he looked rather...grotesque compared to Remnant's people. I believe he told us about a cube that brought us here..."

So, it was not by pure chance. That cube either was magic, or--

--something else enti--

Wait--wh--WHAT?!

A f--forest... No, a forest? I thought I was with Team RWBY, JNPR, and Qrow and Maria! O--O--Okay, Weiss, remain calm. All you have to do is to take deep breaths...so I take a deep breath... ..?

A tower. Obviously, there must be someone inside it, but for now, there's a few people--And a giant snake to deal with. I've fought against numerous Grimm, so I should be fine fighting it...however, I have a few questions. Is it really a Grimm? No. Does this still mean it's like every other Grimm I've encountered? Not exactly. It's either much more formidable than I would normally think, or it's even weaker.

Whatever that is, I spin the cylinder to line the Lightning dust up with the hammer, then held up Myrtenaster at the front of my waist. Things start to slow down around me, just like what happened when that old man from before called out to us. Then, I create a few white Glyphs surrounding the gigantic snake before creating one to lead myself towards it.

I hop onto the Glyph before jumping off of it, boosting me immensely towards the now-slow moving beast's head. I go for a stab before seguing off the next Glyph, in which case I go for a slash. The next Glyph, stab, next one, slash, then after jumping off the last Glyph I created, I try to stab at the head. Afterwards, assuming I'm not hit, I land on my two feet, sliding across until I screech to a halt.

Ryuga grunted as he got knocked back, pinning his sword to the ground to stop his movement. Just as he was about to retaliate, some buff guy lifted the snake and lifted it, causing Ryuga to reconsider his movements as took a hop back and looked at the madness that's been happening.

'Where the hell are these guys even coming from?!' Ryuga questioned, noticing the sudden increase of people trying to take down the giant snake. 'Whatever, the more we are, the easier this'll be!' Ryuga shook off the thought as he pulled on the bottom of the hilt twice before swinging his sword diagonally, a red green and black meter-like slash akin to a volume bar shooting itself straight at the snake's neck...!

HIPPARE HIPARE! MILLION HIT!

The slash arc would struggle along the snake's scales for a while, hopefully being able to go through and cut it's head off. However, that's when he noticed a young woman had flown herself towards the head and hopped around it, stabbing it for a bit.

Let's hope she doesn't get hit by both the snake AND his attack.

Huntress

More people? In this fight? Whatever, she just had to make sure that she didn't hit them either. More arrows came at a machine-gun pace, one nocked after the other as each iron-tipped thorn met it's mark. The eyes, the inside of the mouth, and the segments where scales met. However, it seemed that the little pricks of arrows had gotten the attention of the beast, as it lunged at her.

Staring into the face of death, she had no fear. She'd experienced the worst of what monsters could do to somebody, there wasn't anything this snake could do that a dragon couldn't. Arrow after arrow entered the beast's maw as it grew closer and closer, until it was right on top of her. Without a moment of hesitation, she drew her blade and leaped over the lunging beast, hooking her sword into the creature's nostril.

She found an arrow from her quiver, and began to drive it into the next vulnerable spot, the creature's eye. If it couldn't see, then it couldn't fight all too well, right? Huntress stopped stabbing for a moment as a wave of heat nearly engulfed her. More and more blows exploded in light and sound all around her, flash and light where arrows would do the job all the same. Even ART traced itself up the creature's spine as that same gaudy knight brought his blade up the snake's side. This was all too much, but she stuck onto the creature's head, careful to dodge blows as best she could.

Luthax awoke amidst the chaos with his head throbbing and body unresponsive. The half-Salamander groaned and attempted stand up, struggling against the searing pain that tore through his right arm and his blurred vision. After what felt like an eternity of struggle against his heavy plate armor, Luthax managed to stand up and witness a familiar scene. A monstrous snake was engaging an assorted cast of characters in combat. It was no doubt a Darkborne, a creature of pure darkness whose only desire it to snuff out the Light. The Guardian had no intention of letting that happen, no matter how strange the current situation may be. These people in front of him didn't appear to be any Guardian he had met before, but some of them certainly looked the part. A man in some sort of dragonic armor, a fire elemental, an elvish archer, a troll, a dryad and a white haired duelist.

The Guardian sneered at the sight of the white haired girl as voices filled his head. Luthax could barely hear the old man's plea for help as he contemplated smashing his head open to stop the voices. He wouldn't be tainted by the Darkborne, not while he was still a Guardian. All he had to do was fight. Fight and slay this serpent and the voices would end. Let the passion of the Green Flame burn for a worthy foe. Yes... this was it, this serpent was a worthy foe that must be slain. Luthax let out a laugh as the pain receded and as he drew his greatsword from his back. By now, he had recovered from his daze as was eager to fight.

In his heavy armor, Luthax charged at the black snake like a maniac. This was his obligation, to slay every Darkborne and every threat to the Empire without mercy. The Bloodguard looked for an opening in the snake's view where he could strike. Seeing the few hits landed by the others combating the monster, it appeared the scales were much more durable than one would expect. The obvious targets? The eyes and mouth. As with any other beast on this forsaken planet, this serpent must be able to see and eat. The others, being as competent as the next person, also determined that the head was the weakest part of the snake, focusing their attacks there. Shame that they fought without coordination though.

Whereas the other focused on the monster's head, Luthax didn't need a blow to the eye to inflict damage, he only needed a wound. Pulling a switch on his Bulwark Paradox, the Light canister ignited and began to burn, heating the Burning Edge until it was glowing hot. Luthax brought the searing edge down along the serpent's length, allowing the heat of his blade to cut through the scales and expose flesh.

A small, black, cocoon like thing appeared in the forest along with everyone else. It didn't react to its surroundings, but it seemed to move, like the blackness was created out of a thousand worms, wiggling and slithering around each other. As the fight continued on, finally the cocoon moved. A small fist broke through, then another, and the cocoon seemed to disappear, melting into the ground as a small child yawned and stretched as if she'd just been asleep.

Artemis Dupre blinked, looking around groggily. Was she still dreaming? Then some one close to her dragged their sword across a giant snake and the child's eyes snapped wide open. "Ahhhh!" She screamed, the sound cutting through the fighting. The child pushed herself backwards, the grass of the forest leaving green stains on her light pink, silk night gown.

Conker Prologue - Another Bad Day
Ah, the Cock and Plucker. Perhaps Conker's personal favorite bar in all the land. It had been quite a while since the orange squirrel had become king, and while he didn't quite enjoy it at first, he soon learned the joys of having all the money in the world, as well as all the land. He was, of course, bored of the constant partying at some points, though that boredom often found itself drowned away in booze and hookers. This, of course, was one of those very nights he got particularly hammered. There was loud music playing, as well as strippers, hookers, and things Conker in general adored.

It took a few hours of the partying for Conker, even in his wasted state, to grow tiresome and want to go home. Signaling his departure with a wave, the king headed out the door and gave everyone a small wave, before departing outwards.

And thus, Conker wandered off into the night, off into another adventure...

"Nnnngh..."

"Nnn---nnngh..."

Conker soon awoke in a strange, foreign land due to the loud sounds of fighting around him. He looked at all of them, from the fire man to the hot white haired chick, and just let out a sigh as he saw them all combat some giant snake thing.

"Ugh.... it's gonna be one of those days..." He muttered, before pulling himself up to his feet. Instead of fighting, however, Conker reached into the pocket of his blue zip-up hoodie, and inexplicably proceeded to pull out a full bottle of beer. The squirrel looked around for a bit, darting his head from side to side. Shrugging, he said to himself, "Welp, this sure is a weird hangover." Before popping off the cap and downing the alcoholic beverage.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!"

Bink screams, watching the massive displays of 'magic' before him, cowering behind his arms and falling onto his ass, kicking his feet in a feeble attempt to get away from the fight unfolding before him "I'M TOO YOUNG TO DIE!" he pleads, closing his eyes and covering his head with both of his arms. Attacks flew past him, the air abuzz with wonderful displays of strength from all present, and all the young man could do was cower and hope his luck held out and he didn't get devoured by the huge snake before him.

'What is going on?!' he thinks, frantically kicking once more as he stumbles to his feet, trying to find a spot to hide, anywhere around here where he could get out of the way, stumbling over a rock, he slips, almost falling as one of Huntress' arrows whizzed over his head, lucky, lucky, lucky.

His seemingly random pattern of running should have made him an easy target, it wasn't efficient fleeing by any stretch of the imagination, but it seemed to work out just fine for him, as he found a quiet spot behind a tree. There, he pants, catching his breath and occasionally taking a quick peek at the scene. Now he could see them all working, their powers were magnificent. He felt even more inadequate them back home. The Talents on display here were awe-inspiring, truly mind-boggling.

"I feel like an ant watching humans wage war..." he muses to himself

"Aha! Grace's found another one!"

Smiling to herself, the maid looked at her companion, shaking the recently scavenged car piston at him as if proud of the job and hoping for some sort of acknowledgement. Though, of course, since her partner in crime was a cat, it hadn't really said anything, more entertained with his meal. Grace deflated sightly, before storing the object away in a cheap, sewed together shopping bag. That made three pistons from this pile of metallic rubble... At this pace, they would be done before the harsh sun hit its highest point which would be good, considering water was a really scarce resource in this place.

Why the two were scavenging for car pistons? To exchange it for a cooler, well, not exactly a cooler, but a boxy machine that would work like one... Grace had been looking forward to getting her hands on one that she could place inside the shopping bag, to keep any meat scraps they were able to find, fresh, so that Sky could have stored food! Currently, the heat and just overall condition of the desolate wasteland would make it harder, forcing the feline to eat whatever he could whenever they found anything, the next meal just as uncertain as their destination. It was of utmost importance that Grace found a way to better sustain the kitten's survivability rates if they wanted to ever reach the end of the junk nation together. The android was determined to do so.

As the robotic girl had kept on sorting through the rubble, Sky had been doing his own thing. Breakfast. The kitten had been able to catch his first prey earlier, a lizard, that had run away from below the scrap metal, perhaps having once used it to shield itself from the sun. Not that any of that was important to Sky. All the stained white cat could think of was food as he had pounced on top of the runaway reptile blocking its escape route, then slapped at it with his paw until it would no longer move.
Truth be told, lizards weren't the nutricious, or meaty, yet when one was constantly travelling near starvation, they'd eat whichever they could get. It had taken the kitten a while to finally breach the hardy skin with his canines, but at last, a meal! And a very welcome one after he had gotten nothing but beef jerky, salty, awfully tasting scraps of beef jerky, yesterday. Sky didn't like them as much, too crunchy and made his tongue tingle.

Eventually, however, the kitty wasn't able to get more from its prey, his claws and teeth proving to be of no help in the more tiny cavities. He looked up from the meal and run towards Grace, bumping her with his head to get her attention. The maid looked surprised, holding a rusty bumper that seemed to have belonged to a truck at some point.

Sky meowed at her, rubbing his cheek against Grace and purring. She caressed his fur for a bit until the little rascal had gone dashing back at the half-eaten lizard and meowed again. Ah, he was begging her for assistance.

"Sky just wanted more food, didn't he?", she had placed her arms near her waist, as if pretending to be angry at him. Not that the cat could understand anything, it just kept meowing at her to come and do the thing.

She relented, blinking at the kitten a couple of times before getting up, the barrage of meows not ceasing until she had gotten there. Picking up the lizard with her hands, Grace pulled its limbs apart, really opening the reptile up and scooping up what was left of its flesh so that Sky could eat it. Instantly, the white furry animal had gone for it, delightfully munching at the pieces of meat it had once not been able to reach. The sight of the feline so merrily eating had brought a smile to the android maid's face, as she crouched down to pet its fur while he ate.

And then... The scenery had changed.

Grace's databank had automatically reacted, presenting to her the stored definitions of the new things she had been seeing: forest, tree, tower, vines... snake. Meanwhile, Sky meowed and wailed in both confusion and annoyance because his meal was no longer there, until he saw the ginormous snake in front of him... Then he ran. The white kitten had taken a step back, hissed in terror at the big dark serpent and then ran for his life, to hide behind the first object he saw.

"Sky! Where are you-!", Grace yelled as she turned to her scared companion, but words had abruptly stopped once the maid had caught the sight of just what the kitten had been using as cover.

Some new words flashed from her database: wizard, robe, staff, hat, some of them appendaged to the fantasy fiction genre. Fiction? Was this fiction? Could someone suddenly end inside fiction? Were her systems failing and causing her to see things? But then what about Sky? Was the cat also seeing things? Could a cat have hallucinations? There were a lot of questions abrasing her circuits right now, though soon the voice had taken her out of them:

"At...tack...it...! Hur...ry...!"

Attack the big snake that was oddly similar to the giant junk eating worms from the wasteland? Okay then, wizard-man stranger! You got it.

Realizing that she had still been holding the truck bumper this whole time, Grace waited for the other strangers to make their own moves, more database files jumping at her vision as never before seen objects danced together with their waivers right before her. This would not be as pretty or interesting, but the maid had gotten an order and it was unlike her to not comply with it.

Without knowing really why or anything else, Grace held up the rusty truck bumper and launched it in the snake's head direction. That's how one would frighten the giant desert worms, so hopefully, that would do something similar here.

Warlock Kendrick Rutheus
sp___storm_viper_by_sunmoondragoness-d730un4.jpg

Black Horralsnake
Hercules' attempt to throw the snake's body disoriented what should be a straightforward fight. The snake's center of balance was moved abruptly. Its head was thrown side way with the throw and away from the Huntress. The attempt to attack its head by Heatblast, Huntress, Ryuga, Weiss, and Grace were less successful.

The burning rock hit nothing, while the splash damage from the fire only annoyed the snake. The arrows missed most of their mark, though some flew into its nostril and received a pained hiss in response. Weiss missed completely. The bumper bumped on the ground. The blade, while failed to cut the snake clean, scraped scales off its skin.

Being thrown had broke the snake out of its rage. Though it was a still a beast incapable of speaking a coherent language, its instinct was beyond that of a normal snake. The new fighters were strong. Strong enough to kill it. They also outnumbered and faster than it. It wanted to retreat.

Its decision was only affirmed when a searing pain ran through its body. Luthax's attack overlapped with the area rained down with fire by Heatblast prior to the attack to its head. The black scales were unable to protect against intensive fire and caused it to cry from pain. Lealan's gunshot was no better. Every charged shot that hit a scale ripped the scale off its skin.

Unable to bear with the damage to its body and scales, the snake started to withdrew back to the hole it made. An action that caused Kendrick to shout nervously.

"Stop it! If it flee now, it will return later for revenge."

The Black Horralsnake was a bloodline creature of Kemoyin Serpent line! While it was inferior to a Kemoyin Serpent, a fully grown Black Horralsnake such as this one couldn't possibly be without an owner. Who knew what kind of Warlock owned this aggressive snake? If Kendrick knew something about Warlock, was that all of them had emotional issue that made peacefully dealing with them a pain.

Also, the material from a Black Horralsnake would help his advancement by leap and bound! How could he bear to lose this opportunity when he had numerous of powerful helpers around?

"Sorry, rattlesnake Jake, but you're not going anywhere! Anyone here got ice powers? Because I sure don't!"

To prevent the serpent's escape, Heatblast would spew flames upon the ground, turning the earth below the serpent into a gooey molten punch, slowing him down. Once the newly-formed molten earth would cool, the serpent would be stuck. It also didn't help that some of the newly-converted molten liquid was leaking into the serpent's created hole.

Heatblast, in the meantime, absorbed heat from the burning molten surface that he put the serpent in to hasten its cool.

Lealan Hears the fire-mans call, but misinterpreted it. She shifts her Dragon Head Pistol for a second grappling hook, shooting it into one of the exposed spots where she had blown a scale of, then swaps her first Grappling hook out for her Adaptable Crossbow, changes its rounds to Frost Bolt, and begins shooting it's exposed bits with Impunity.

"Sssssstaby ssssstaby ssssstaby sssssssssnek!! Sssssstabby with cold and heat and DE~ATH!!!"

Lealan rambles out to any that are listening, but mostly to herself.

  • "You're not getting away, you slithery b--!" Ryuga was just about to chase the snake onto the hole to chase after it when the fire alien from before spewed fire below the creature, turning it into something similar to a molten lava. "Wah!" Ryuga nearly tripped, stopping himself just before he reached the snake, falling down onto his back to avoid falling into the molting earth. "That was close!" He sighed, soon rising to a stand.

Seeing, or, hearing what the fire creature was up to, Weiss twisted the revolver-like dial on her rapier, the Myrtenaster, soon piercing it onto the ground in front of the molting on. Weiss' semblance is something akin to magic--using hereditary magical glyphs and controlling the elements with Dust is something she's commonly associated to. That in mind, not a second after piecing the ground, a large layer of ice covered the air around molten area, turning the molten ground, and the freezing the air around the snake into what's essentially several icebergs, covering the snake tight except for a portion of its head.

Meanwhile, Ryuga took a step back, wide eyed and mouth's agape underneath that suit of his and dumbfounded by the sudden freezing. His specialty's fire, not ice, after all.

"Oooookay that was creepy," Heatblast commented on Lealan's antics as he somersaulted backwards before Weiss' attack struck the molten ground. "And that was cool, literally... and I have a hunch you've heard that joke a bajillion times already."

Assuming a combat stance, Heatblast raised rock pillars from the ground with a stomp, ready to use them in battle should the serpent retaliate.
