Welcome to Summer Vibes, where young adults are picked to temporarily live in a new city together while being filmed non-stop. The castmates are taped around the clock and the house is outfitted with video cameras mounted on walls to capture even the most intimate moments. Each season will consist of 16 roommates, aged 18–25, usually selected from thousands of applicants from across the country, with the group chosen typically representing different races, genders, sexual orientations, levels of sexual experiences, and religious and political beliefs.

Background l Lex was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York and grew up on the wrong side of the tracks. He has a complicated, love-hate relationship with his family. Both parents struggled with alcohol – his dad became physically abusive while his mom neglected and verbally abused him – and it left a deep impression on him. By his own statements, Lex never had a father figure for much of his life, due to his dad being in prison and his mother's revolving door of boyfriends. He generally dislikes speaking about his family since it always brings up painful memories for him. His early life mainly consisted of "getting his ass kicked" and he sums up his childhood in three words: drinking, crying and cops.

Personality l Lex is tough, cynical and quick-tempered, yet compassionate and empathetic toward people in trouble and those less fortunate than himself. The product of an abusive household, he has difficulty trusting or getting close to people emotionally. He likes his relationships with no strings attached and will never show a girl his true feelings. Despite his reticent nature and emotionless exterior, he can be quite transparent, often conveying everything with just a look, and is virtually incapable of lying. He is extremely loyal to his friends and those he cares about and has the tendency to physically express his anger by fighting.

Biography l Alyssa had quite the normal childhood, being a very hard working and smart student who was also quite athletic, though she did have some problems. She used to be chubbier, and much more self-loathing. Alyssa then worked hard, counting calories and working out until exhaustion, to get to how she looked now. Her parents were divorced, and Alyssa would spend weekends at her dad's house. Throughout the whole of her teenage years, Alyssa had a rocky relationship with her mother. Alyssa had multiple boyfriends, and all of them were either abusive or just bad people. It hurt her relationships with other people, but she never learned. Recently, Alyssa got ditched and basically broke up with her boyfriend.
Personality l Alyssa is an energetic, positive girl with a tad bit of stupidity. She speaks her mind and says what she wants to say, sometimes revealing things others don't want revealed. Well, it wasn't like they told her that she couldn't tell. She's optimistic and works hard for what she wants- she understands that some things need hard work and time. She tends to do a lot of things without thinking, and is rather carefree which can be a bit annoying. She doesn't like being vulnerable, and she tends to always tell the truth.

Biography: Being born in the city, Isaac had a rough childhood. Money was short, his father abused him when he was just entering elementary school, and his parents divorcing after that. All of the crap happened before he got out of elementary school, making him the silent type he is today. Even if his youth was hard, he was still optimistic about it. Being exposed to so many cultures helped him be open-minded to new ideas and more creative in his own.

In middle school, he met an art teacher that changed the way he looked at things, to see beauty in the most unappreciated aspects of life such as a heavy blizzard or why something is designed a specific way and the work behind that design. From this new perspective, he picked up a hobby of photography.

Personality: Quiet, reserved, observant, clumsy, and open-minded, Isaac often keeps optimistic view on the world, seeing the good in people. When Isaac is around a large amount of people he doesn't know all too well, or even at all, he has a nervous breakdown. Stiffening him up, causing him to abnormally sweat and run at any chance he gets. Most of the time when he's alone, he can be found taking photos of his surroundings, playing videogames or napping in an attempt to catch up on sleep from the night before. He is a horrible workaholic and a perfectionist when it comes down to what he does for a living. He may be quiet on the outside, but on the inside, he overly elaborates the simplest of things.

Extras: Since he works in the concert business, he can get you the hook up with concerts and sold out shows.

There are many stupid decisions he will come to regret, but he tends to mentally insist doing things the hard, painful way.

Music he listens to includes a bit of every genera but, his playlist contains mostly indie and local bands from his hometown.

Types of videogames he plays mostly contains games on the pc and story rich games with a few exceptions. Specific games he plays are, Rocket League, all COD games, all of the telltale games, all of the pokemon games, super smash bros, some select fantasy mom games, and the mass effect series.

Personality l Blake is a privileged yet troubled girl next door. She has a bubbly exterior but deep down is a dark soul, with a history of drug abuse and an unhealthy consumption of alcohol. Her designer-label-packed wardrobe masks her turbulent mood swings and hard-partying ways. Although she's blonde, thin and pretty, she is not much else. She is afforded all the privileges of a wealthy lifestyle, yet she fails to show any interest or engagement with the world around her. Like many of her peers, she is emotionally distant from her parents and has become disillusioned with their materialistic ways. She rarely participates in clubs, organizations, or extracurricular activities. The only interests she demonstrates with any regularity are romance and risky behavior, which in her case often go together.

Background l Even though Blake was raised in the affluent neighborhoods of Newport Beach, California, she endured a notoriously troubled childhood. She was already a regular on the party scene as a young girl, smoking cigarettes at the age of twelve, drinking alcohol at age thirteen, smoking marijuana at age fourteen and snorting cocaine at age fifteen. Her nightlife and constant partying became a popular subject within the community. She was in rehab at the age of sixteen, where she spent eighteen months in an institution for the mentally ill. A suicide attempt, at age seventeen, put her back in rehab. Ever since then she's been sober and has avoided using drugs/alcohol to cope with her mental issues and emotional stress. Her parents have all but given up on her - they're tired of trying save their only daughter from a fate that she can't be rescued from. Blake has never had a true friend or long term boyfriend, mostly due to her constant destructive behavior. She hopes that this show will give her a fresh start.

Every night she came home from school hurt, or crying. Her parents divorced when she was in her junior year of high school. Mi Jin's mother kept her and taught her to be kind, but one day she met a boy she fell in love with. The boy changed her drastically and she became one who likes to party. On their one year anniversary, he broke her heart so she doesn't take kindly to boys who flirt with her. Mi Jin didn't have friends in Incheon (hometown) so she moved to LA for a fresh start.

Personality l Mi Jin is kind when you earn her trust, but doesn't really take kindly to boys. She loves partying and drinks when something bad happened. Personality: Carmella has a personality that was made to be televised. She is loud and outspoken, in addition ( because she comes from Detroit) she isn't afraid to speak her mind when somebody crosses her. Carmella is passionate in everything she does whether it be a romantic flame or a deep hatred. She has a competitive spirit that can get out of hand. She enjoys entertaining people mostly by cracking small jokes just to get a laugh out of anybody. Although like most people she has a side that is only shown to herself and the people closest to her. She gives off a confident aura but when it is just her and a significant other, she craves attention and affection. Carmella will tone down her large personality but don't be fooled she will crack those jokes at personal inappropriate times. Everything she does, it is done impeccably and you can bet has been triple checked several times over.

Background: Coming from Detroit creates a certain type of person. This was not who Carmella wanted to be. Although she developed some tough traits, she strayed from drug use and the streets. Her family is very tied to her Brazilian heritage she grew up speaking Portuguese at home and speaking English at her schools. Throughout school she excelled in many sports mainly volleyball, soccer, and basketball. Because she grew up in this sports culture she never got in touch with her very feminine side. From that immerged her style of tomboyish clothing, backwards hats, and choice colors of black and grey. Her grades and love life suffered as a result of her sports driven high school career. The only way she had the opportunity to go to college was getting sports scholarships. Unfortunately the combination of sports scholarships and financial aid still didn't fully support her family's financial situation. Carmella decided to take a gap year to become financially stable. But that gap year turned to two, which turned to three, and so on. To face the facts, even though she continued to tell herself she was going to attend college, she did not. Especially when alcohol became involved in her life. She was drawn to it and it made her much less educationally motivated. At the age of 21, she immediately got a job in the field she loved bartending. Every night on duty she is surrounded by the party atmosphere and grew to be very comfortable in it. Then her dreams grew of owning her own bar and club simply called "Carmella's." Her focus was always on career her whole life and her financial situation. Love took a back seat and remains in the backseat. She didn't have her first kiss until she was 19. Her family continues to pester her about when she will meet a man to suit her needs. Carmella often just shakes her head and smiles.

Background l Miranda grew up in Kyoto, Japan and was born to a rich family. Nothing she has ever done has been good enough for them, she has honestly stopped caring beyond making sure she doesn't get cut off. She was raised with her twin brother, they are extremely close and share many personality traits and verbal ticks, enough that it can be unsettling to strangers. They have always heavily relied on each other and before they both went to college, had never spent more than a few days apart. As children, the twins were shipped off to boarding schools as much as possible. This has made them well traveled but generally less well adjusted.
Miranda moved to the United States alone at age 17 to attend MIT. She just finished her undergraduate work in robotics and is preparing to start in on her masters. Her Freshman year, she took to the party scene like a fish to water, and made a considerable amount of mistakes including taking up some of the main "smart drugs" to improve her focus and reduce her appetite. She isn't dependent on the drugs but definitely has not kicked the habit.

Personality l It's not that Miranda has never been denied anything she has wanted, it's that she's never learned to take no for an answer. She will go to whatever lengths she had to in order to get what she wanted, as a child this usually entailed outsmarting or manipulating her parents, who just stopped putting up a fight eventually. Most of her interactions with people are calculated, a means to an end. She very rarely acts without thinking and it's fitting that she spends most of her time with robots given her outward personality.
She gets bored very easily, and is prone to sort of manic and scatterbrained episodes where her thoughts just move to fast for her mouth or hands to catch up, she tends to drink to deal with it if she doesn't have a more productive outlet. Miranda is also highly empathetic, while she can be distant at best and waspish at worst in her interactions with strangers she is also not in the least bit judgemental, and a really good listener. Your secrets (and your dignity) are safe with her, no matter what your relationship normally is. You're crying, high out of your mind on the floor of some bar bathroom? She'll sit on the floor with you and talk you down without a second thought, and never mention it again.
When shit hits the fan, she really is a good friend even if she can be moody and untrusting. She's generous, resourceful, brilliant, and will do just about anything to help her friends. This is actually one of the reasons she takes a while to warm up to people, once you get into her inner circle it's very easy to manipulate her without even knowing it.

Background l Ethan was born and raised in Colorado with his sister. His father being a boxer throughout Ethan's child hood sorta beded the fighting into Ethan when he was young. His mother never liked it but figured that him wanting to be at the boxing gym with his father was better than doing drugs or having sex when he's become a teenager. Though when his teen years hit he surprised both his parents. He started to learn mixed martial arts and planned to start fighting for cash in the octagon. It worried them both especially his dad who was a former heavyweight champion, but despite there worries they let him fight and found out he was damn good at it. Plus he was still able to keep friends, good grades, and a happy life. Hanging out with his friends a lot as well as fighting a lot. By the time Ethan hit 19 it was clear that if he kept this up he could easily find him self in the UFC. Constantly gaining grown and noteriety since then, the UFC has been real interested in seeing him go pro.

Personality l All in all Ethan is what you would call the big teddy bear. He's big and strong and intimidating but under it all the thing he loves most is cuddling and being a gentle sweet guy. Though don't tick him off and expect him to come hug you because he can switch in a second. Hes a little light tempered but other than that. Sweet, caring, helpful, loyal, playfull, goofy, hyper, and in a constant need for attention from a romantic lover. Often two quick to say those three magic words in a relationship and also quick to jump to conclusions about things Ethan deffinetly has his downsides. Constantly needing some form of reassurance that any relationship he's in is still going good and healthy. Hugging kissing hearing kind words or the cute nicknames that come wth dating are a constant from him and he feels neglected and lonely if he doesn't receive the same notions.

Background l Annabelle despite being American still has the British accent. Being born in Cape Elizabeth to her mother and father in a small house near the beach. Annabelle lived a peaceful quiet and fun life growing up. When she hit her teen years she really got into mechanical work, specifying in wanting to work on motorcycles. Soon graduating high school and going on to college at MMI for motorcycle mechanics in Arizona before coming back home to be with family. Background l David spent a good portion of his youth bouncing around foster families after his mom overdosed on heroin and was sent to a rehab facility when he was four. Since then, she's been sober on and off and in and out of jail and rehab, he tries to keep in contact with her because she's his only immediate family.
As a teen, his life was pretty unstable and he moved around a lot so he was pretty quiet and focused on academics and books. There was never enough to go around, and David is very good at scraping by on very little. In college, he started making more permanent friends and coming out of his shell. He started playing piano and working part time at a roller skating rink until he finished his degree and got his job teaching English at the high school he graduated from in Brooklyn

Personality l David got shoved into a lot of lockers in high school. This man had Star Wars bedsheets until he graduated college and can name any Star Trek episode after the first thirty seconds. He's an insufferable nerd who gets really excited about the things that he likes. One of those things is English and he's an engaging if a little bit weird, teacher. He's really just genuinely a nice guy with a love for the subject that he teaches. When David get's excited about something, he gets really excited, and generally, has to tell everyone about it. He tries to be engaged with students and direct his lesson plans toward things that interest them because he only recently got out of his own education and knows how much of a drag boring teachers can be.
He teaches at a school in Brooklyn because that's where he grew up, and he would rather come back and help the kids who really need a caring adult in their lives than teach at the richer school he got a job offer from. Sticking to his roots is important to him and so is helping kids in disadvantaged areas

After high school, she went on to obtain a teacher's license, to then begin to teach at a nearby elementary school. Showing the kids methods to stay ahead of students from another school.
Personality: Relaxed, creative, and optimistic, she often gets absorbed into a good book or game from time to time. When undisturbed, she will fully engross herself with the story of the book, turning the light on and off with the days and nights experienced. Sometimes, she would even hook up a soundtrack to listen to as she read, but be warned, her attitude towards one will change if one is overly disrespectful to her or the stories she reads. Iris would not be affected by normal disrespect otherwise. She is oblivious to drama that doesn't involve her since she lived most of her life ignoring it. Iris is incredible with children. She is incredibly gullible, and will do small tasks for you if she thinks it's morally correct.

Background l McCartney grew up on a farm in eastern Kansas. Her mother died in childbirth, so it was always just her Grandmother, her Father, and her. She grew very close with her small family. Mac spent most of her childhood running around on the farm, being a typical kid. Her father taught her how to grow her own foos, raise animals, fix tractors, and do pretty much anything that needed to be done. When she was 8 years old, her father remarried to a woman who hated children and didn't want any to get in the way of her marriage. While she treated Mac's father and grandmother extremely well, she both mentally and physically abused Mac every day. Mac took a job at the local diner at 16 to become a waitress. She told her story to a few close friends or regulars, who always tipped well over 20% to help Mac save up enough money to leave. On the night of her high school graduation, Mac packed all of her things into her old power blue Ford Ranger and drove cross country to her new University in New York. She never spoke a word to her father or stepmother after that, only keeping in contact with her grandmother.
