Fandom Summer Camp?? (Percy Jackson)~ Interest check

Name:
Rea Demarco
Nickname:
Retribution, Short-Stack
Best friend:
A sad nope here, she ain't got no friends
At camp?:
Yes, but she's only been there for a few days. She's the newbie and was lucky to be claimed her first night

Appearance:
Short, with long black hair and deep blue eyes that are often stone set and cold, Rea looks far from approachable. Always wearing. Dark jacket with the hood up, or always armed in some way, she gives off the aura of leave me alone or get cut. Despite her troubles in the height department, it would be smart not to mess with her. Rea is covered in scars of all types, her eyes hold the light of wisdom well beyond her years, and for the love of God, someone please get her some new sneakers.
Age:
15
Height:
5'2" (158cm)
Weight:
121 lbs (54kg)

Godly Parent:
Nemesis (Claimed)
Skills and Abilities:
- Tychokinesis: As a child of Nemesis, goddess of balance, retribution, and vengeance, Rea has gotten some of her control over luck. Unlike the kids of Tyche who can simply improve luck, this is a power that is supposed to bring balance. Or at least, help bring balance. So, like her mom, Rea can strike up Destiny Deals and cause Curses. Both, for the time being, are extremely limited as Rea didn't even realize she had this power until coming to the camp. And...they're a little touchy. Sometimes, deals and curses backfire and have the opposite effect.
  • Destiny Deals: The good side, yay! Normal stuck with people who have bad luck, Rea seems to be able to do the same thing. Sprinkling a little good time in on the bad. With a handshake, you'll suddenly be able to pass a test or get accepted by the person you like. Though Rea can only create a fee good deals a week, and if it goes to someone undeserving, that deal turns sour. Sometimes, it just doesn't work at all.
  • Curses: And for the people with too much good luck. No need for a handshake on this one, a simple touch of any nature will do and all of a sudden, you'll have a pretty bad day. Though unlike Nemesis cursing Narcissus, Rea can only cause minor trouble. You'll spill something very noticeable on your shirt, trip in front of your crush, end up failing a class, etc, etc. Though like the deals, they don't always end up doing their duty as curses.
Umbrakinesis: Nemesis is a daughter of Nyx, and so as a taught of our favorite revenge goddess, Rea has some of that ability. She can't travel through the shadows and whatnot, as cool as that would be, but she will eventually have a pretty cool application. As of now, she can only make an area around her darker, but once she starts really practicing, she'll be able to make small animals out of shadows that can spy for her. You know...when she gets to that level of control.

Flight: Her grandmother had wings. As does her uncle Thanatos and her aunts the Furies. If uncles Hypno and Charon have them, that's up in the air, but it's a safe bet that Nemesis didn't get them as she's never used them but Rea did. You don't see them all the time, as they can kind of...dematerialize and be out of the way when she isn't using them, appearing as small wing tattoos on her shoulder blades. But here's the kicker. Rea has no control over them what so ever. She had no clue she even had wings up until her first day or two of camp. So for now, she has to practice getting used to them, moving them around and such. Sooner or later though, she'll be able to support herself for short bursts of air time.

Liar's intuition: Rea has always been able to tell when someone is lying to her. Or at least, some part of her has. It's helped get her out of some pretty sticky situations, though it has also gotten her I to some tight spots. So, unless it's very clear she's in danger, Rea doesn't act on this feeling very often. Though if she's suddenly acting weird around you, know you've probably been caught. Then again, she acts weird around everyone.

Natural Combat Skills: While nothing in her current state compared to the Ares kids, Rea found it very easy to learn how to defend herself. Even though her methods are often unorthodox. It translated over into training at the camp. Swords and Spears are much easier to handle than maces, daggers, and bows. Though like her mom, Rea seems to favor to range yet power you get fighting with a whip.

Personality:
Not many people actually know what she's like. Rea comes off as cold, maybe stuck up. She doesn't talk much, always off by herself somewhere. It would be pretty easy to mistake her for a Hades kid if you had no idea who she was. She's blunt when she does speak, and unapologetic so when she hurts someone's feelings, chances are you aren't getting an apology. But here's the thing, Rea has had a hard life. The cards dealt to her we're not kind in the slightest. She keeps her back to wall, always watching. Which means she may know a secret or two you don't want getting out, but, she's not a gossip. In fact, she absolutely hates small talk, and on the rare socializing occasion, she loves the deep and weird conversation topics. She tends to avoid people who try and make fast friends, as that's often the lead up to getting mugged. Bubbly personalities often get burned when dealing with Rea, and she doesn't seem bothered by that. Is she loney? Sure. But the teen has her reasons. That cold, 1000 yard stare, distancing herself from everyone...it's all survival. The truth of the matter is that Rea doesn't know who she's supposed to be, she never got to really discover her own personality because growing up the way she did...you either learned how to survive, or you didn't make it.

Other:
- Rea doesn't know a lot of things about the world. She doesn't know history, popular books, how to really work a computer. She honestly can't even read that well (dyslexia aside), and never learned how to write. Though she's embarrassed by this fact, and keeps it to herself, wondering if there's a way she could either teach herself or hopefully make a friend who can help her.
- She loves animals of all types, though snakes are her favorite. Swans...give her a weird vibe.
Relationships:
None
That's
ow me with the tyche kid, think that could be a fun dynamic
What?
fine! Your accepted

Sooooo, just dropping by to look at this because I love Percy Jackson, and I was just wondering if it was cool if I hopped in?

Name:
Alan McKay

Nickname:
Mick or McKay, because what kid wants to be called Alan?

Best friend:
Despite his overall friendly personality, Mick's not particularly close to anyone. He's on good terms with everyone, but no one can really be considered a friend. It's not due to an unwillingness to make friends on his part, he just doesn't reach out enough to people.

Appearance:
A tan skinned kid with somewhat curly hazel hair, Mick just has an essence of approachability. With his lips always tugged slightly upwards in a lazy smile, Mick's eyes complete the set by letting off an energetic, laid back look. He's pretty often seen wearing a Letterman or a Hoody, mostly because he forgot to pack more than two pairs of clothes so he's stuck wearing the orange camp tee most of the time.

Age:
16

Height:
5'6

Weight:
131 LB

Godly Parent:
Hermes

Claimed?
He is, ironically, unclaimed though and is waiting it out in the Hermes cabin wondering who his dad is.

At camp?
Been there for 3 years

Skills and Abilities:
Mick doesn't have many abilities. Only two, really. Unless his dad finally claims him and gifts him the ability to fly, it's going to stay that way.

Uncanny reflexes:
This one right here was probably the main reason he was so good at base ball back at high school. Ranging from anything to catching a base ball to parrying a sword blow, this thing covers it all. The ability itself is actually a minor speed boost he inherited from his father's superspeed trait, which didn't give him enough to become the Flash, but just enough to give his hand-eye coordination a major boost. Unfortunately, like all great things, it's not perfect. Only great. It's why they're called great things, not perfect things. Even after two years of using the ability, Mick keeps finding his sword flying out of his hand and barely has any idea what he's doing with his hands after a few seconds of using it. See, when he uses the ability a little, he can keep perfect track of what he's doing. But, should he keep using it for a few seconds, he completely loses track of what he's doing with his sword, often getting him KO'ed

Improved Stamina:
Mick isn't actually sure whether this is an actual ability or just a side effect of being forced to run around the field 10 times every day at base ball practice to be honest. Regardless, it helps. Be it a fight or a marathon, Mick's probably only going to start breaking a sweat 10 minutes in.

Experience and plain skill:
Mick's not claiming to be the next big thing, like, at all, but he does know what he's doing. After 3 years worth of training, he's gotten pretty good at sword and shield combat. He's not the best at camp by a long shot, but he is pretty good by Hermes cabin standards. Pretty much what he lacks in his parental abilities he makes up for with actual combat skills.

And that's it. Hermes' genes must not be good ability wise.

Personality:
Mick seems to be just about the most affable guy at camp, and he really kind of is. He's laid back, comedic, confident, and naturally friendly. He's never one to take anything aimed at him too seriously and he takes death defying situations just as seriously. Sometimes even less so. Sure, there is a limit to Mick's allowance for insults or jabs made towards him, but it's not likely he'd snap. That said, Mick doesn't actually hate many people either. Sure, him and the Hermes cabin are sick and tired of the Ares beating the crap out of them during the mock battle practices, but it's more of a friendly rivalry in his book, even though the Ares wave their victories over their head. But there is actually a good chance Mick can start heavily disliking someone, and for various reasons. Lastly, Mick's confidence and humor go hand in hand. Mick's level of confidence can weirdly be measured by his jokes. For example, if Mick's feeling particularly confident, be it in a battle or conversation, then he'll spout off a few good quips to get a laugh out of whoever the joke was intended for. Meanwhile, if Mick screws up an interaction with someone or is facing some pretty frightening odds in a battle, then his jokes rapidly decline in quality. If the joke's self deprecating, he feels like he's screwed up. If it's a joke about how screwed he is, he's, well, screwed. And if it's a particularly bad joke, he's most likely stressed and was trying to calm himself down.

And that about covers Mick's personality. There you go!

Other:
Mick's been attending camp since he was 13. While he's never been on a quest, he has been around the ringer for most camp activities. He occasionally acts as a guide for new campers, but not often. He's also very often involved with the Hermes cabin practices, with him being an honorary member and all.

Shayla Elena Williams

Shay, Elena, Lena, Red (by Claudine)
"Call me what you want."
Basic Info

Age:
14

Height:
5" (1.5m)

Weight: 4
5kg (99 lbs)

Gender:
Female

Godly Parent:
Lyssa (Goddes of rage and fury)

Claimed:
Yes

At Camp:
Yes

Bestfriend:
None, her father brought her to camp three years ago

"Just Ask."
Skills and Abilities

Crazy Touch- Due to being the daughter of Lyssa Shayla is able to inflict crazed and raged behavior with a touch. Since she's been at camp for three years she has a good grasp on her ability. She is only able to persuade already raged behavior, she is able to make it crazed and erratic. She doesn't have much luck inflicting rage at will though.

Her curse- Being a daughter of Alyssa has earned her a curse, the longer people are within a 1 foot radius of her she inflicts crazy behaviors similar to rabies. The effect leaves the person once they are out of range of her.

Raging Aura- Shayla has an aura that she can activate at will. It's made to intimidate her enemies, it shows the rage that bubbles inside her and is suppose to inflict fear.
"I'd suggest you don't get to close."
Dig a Little Deeper
A perfect description of Shayla would be edgy and angry. She is filled with rage and has a short fuse. She has a temper and is quick to tell someone to shut up. She's rude, quiet, and overall mysterious. She can't help but have angry thoughts that are always negative it's part of being Lyssa's daughter. She is neutral towards people and lets them figure out her curse for themselves, many don't believe her so she doesn't usually tell them. She wished for friends but due to her curse, she has no idea how to interact with other people.
"You're not gonna figure much out about me."

Selitia Selitia Sure man, I don't see why not! Camp Halfblood's a pretty small place anyway, though I don't think they'd get on perfectly.

Yeah, those heights are a no no. Please be a bit more realistic. The max height would be like 6'5, and you can keep the girl's height or decrease it, but 6'10 is just too much. Also keep the whole "Superhuman Stats, that greatly surpass ordinary humans in every way" to a demigod level. Yes as a child of Ares he would be much stronger and have better stamina and such but just keep it demigod realistic. Also with weapons that big no matter what strength the character has please make sure they are not super speedy. A weapon that big would be hard to maneuver with, so keep that in mind. I don't care if your fast but just not faster than most demigods.

What do you mean by superhuman speed? Again be demigod realistic, this should not be like the flash. If she is just faster than the average demigod then sure, but if it's by like 10 mph that's a bit much. What do you mean by superhuman intelligence?

And seriously? I ask for the weight for character development and you give me that answer. Please answer that.
