Three Thousand Club
The Suikoden franchise centers around the implementation of intrigue, betrayal, and war.
War is going to be a big part of this RP as well, and there will be over two dozen major battles which our characters will engage in. The RP will span the course of nearly 8 years IC for all of our characters, which is plenty of time to make friends, enemies, or find love.
I encourage the last one, by the way. Love, even if it never comes full circle, is another staple of the franchise. The love of friends. The love of family. And the good old fashioned finding of love in the midst of chaos.
This Franchise also focuses on the lore surrounding powerful objects of magic known as Runes which do various things depending on what kind of Rune they are.
There exist a list of "True Runes" which are the most powerful of all, though the list of all "27" remains incomplete based on the developers not continuing the franchise.
The True Runes which are known are as follows:
* Beast Rune - Animalistic Rage and Passion
* Rune of theBeginning - Initial Chaos of Birth
* Black Sword Rune - Offensive Power of Beginning
* Bright Shield Rune - Power to Protect of Beginning
* Moon Rune - Compassion and Destruction (bearer becomes a vampire)
* Rune of Change - Power of Change
* Circle Rune - Order and Stagnation
* Dragon Rune - Enables the existence of Dragons
* Eightfold Rune - Supposedly affinity with monsters and teleportation
* Gate Rune - Connect worlds
* Back Gate Rune - One half of the Gate Rune
* Front Gate Rune - One half of the Gate Rune
* Night Rune - Power of Night, allowing existence of vampires, zombies, and skeletons
* Soul Eater Rune - Rune of Life and Death
* Rune of Punishment - Atonement and Forgiveness
* Sovereign Rune - Absolute Rule
* Sun Rune - Represents the power of the Sun
* Dawn Rune - Healing fatal wounds
* Twilight Rune - Tremendous Offensive Power
* True Earth Rune - Power of Earth
* True Fire Rune - Power of Fire
* True Lightning Rune - Power of Lightning
* True Water Rune - Power of Water
* True Wind Rune - Power of Wind
These Runes are much more powerful than regular Runes which carry similar effects such as basic Lightning Runes and Water Runes. Their powers never run out, and they actually "choose" the one to wield them because they do in fact have minds of their own in a manner of speaking.
Regular Runes are everyday objects which can be crafted by a Rune Master from "pieces" of the orb from which the Rune's power is derived. By carrying the appropriate Rune, the wielder can use the power of the Rune's magic as their own. However, as mentioned before, unlike True Runes the power of regular Runes runs out. Sometimes it takes a few weeks. Sometimes a few months. Sometimes a few years.
