Prologue

The year is currently 4532. Little is known what it was like before year 3050, more just rumors or fantasy stories. Anything before 4000 is almost as sketchy, but there were actual records, as little as there were. It was around that time that man and womankind could no longer survive outside in the harsh environments that had developed over time. Coming together they started to build large domes over the cities that were left and named the city Amstel. People were quick to establish who did or did not have power.

To prevent an uprising people quickly formed a government, which was an obvious fraud. Still, the government controlled almost everything in the cited domes. Amstel was seemingly peaceful, but things were boiling and growing heated underneath the surface. Gangs, Mafia and Rebellions started to surface, causing a bit more trouble then the government would like. The people outnumbered them by millions for sure.

In order to protect themselves they quickly started to make super humans. They claimed the experiments were for the better good of the people, but truly they were just to help control the masses more. So the experiments began and the people were soon transformed to several a pair of super soldiers. They were soon named Sallos.

The experiments were so painful... that any trace of existence to the Sallos other life was a complete mystery to themselves. They felt only obedience truly, with little purpose but the goals put before them. Each experiment that was successful meant a more advanced experiment, many of them better than the last. Soon they started to develop them to have more advanced abilities such as powers like Pyrokinesis. All experiments were usually kept completely separate from any kind of 'poison' that the people would tell them. They were taught that the government was the only true way. The government was the only thing they knew.

The Revolution was starting to get more violent, as some of the older experiment pairs were starting to be killed. The society in the dome was starting to wear thin.... and civil war was threatening to break loose.

The Beginning

Even at night in the dome, the stars lit a lot of the streets. Granted a normal human proububly could not see in the dark as well as Mia did. The building in front of her sights however was well lit. Honestly it kind of hurt her eyes a bit with the contrast. Their objective was to retrieve information from the rebels. They recently had stolen several cases of medication and other such drugs that had been on a shipment through the city. They just needed to figure out where they took them.

Number 033, the first part to the normal two part team. Faceless was their team name. Mia was what her partner called her when they were alone. It was a simple brains and brawns pairing, though nothing like you would think from a movie or book. The brawn was capable of forming sentences and even solving complicated puzzles and the brain could possibly punch their fist through a human if they tried hard enough. However they excelled in their area far better than their brother or sister.

"I think we should do this quietly." Mia finally said to her partner. She had been observing the building in a silence for the past 10 minutes. Mostly to see if any guard was to circle about the building or such. She didn't mind killing a few people if they had too, but that got messy and the Government discouraged killing the rebels. They said the rebels were just confused people... while the people in the gangs were the bad people. They were the one that deserved to die because they were scum.

"If we can just... get it and go... it would save so much time. Searching the area while fighting and trying not to kill seems like even more of a pain." Mia scratched the back of her head. Her face was covered with a mask. She and her partner were one of the last old experiments. They used to be required to cover up... but now they Government didn't force the newer models to cover their faces. By that logic.. Mia was sure they didn't have to cover up anymore either... but somehow she liked the idea of remaining anonymous. It was in their name... Faceless.

There was a slight softness to the silence which enveloped them as they crouched in the darkness, the dome cupped their ears with a comforting pair of hands to block out the poinseness noise of society which surrounded them each time they stepped out the governments doors. Quinten with much boredom trailed the pink edges of his revealed ears with the tips of his calloused fingers gently as if he would find the hands which the government use to cover each subjects ears despite the fact that they weren't truly there. But recently it seemed by each coming day Quinten could feel the warm presence of the hands more and more, it mainly came during mission briefing. The withering but young hands would block out the information that could actually mean something. Before stepping out of the governments doors the hands seemed to never remove themselves, making it so the subjects wouldn't hear the towns perhaps true words.

But subject 037 believes that for a moment he was capable of hearing, the day he heard the perhaps innocent protests of a women they took the child of being the prime moment.

They had been told that the mother had lost her way and performed a treasonous act which caused the government to wish to save the child.

But had what they heard been true?

Or was it what the hands had allowed them to hear through its natural filter. The memory of the women came to mind and it only made Quincie more anxious to complete their current mission and leave back towards the government with the information they received. Which would be fairly out of character for the masked man, for on an average day he would find himself pleading for a mission. To get a reason to leave the building they had grown up in.

The sound of his companion broke him from his trance, the bobbing of his knee gradually coming to a halt as he listened as to what she felt needed to be said. To which Quinten internally groaned rolling his eyes behind the black cloth which hid them. He wasn't meant for these types of missions, his size twelve feet seeming to always find a way to get them caught as they snuck around. But he didn't verbally protest just mentally, glaring at the girl before him whose most likely emotionless expression was hidden behind their own personal masks. He knew better then to fight with the girl on a mission, for his train of thought was melded mainly to pose a physical threat against men on the field as she was the one who was capable of actually thinking out what should happen up to that point. She was the brain that controlled the Faceless body practically, the body being him in most cases unless someone wanted to create a catastrophic scenario he wouldn't be the natural choice for the brain on most missions.

The blonde ran a hand through his revealed hair and let out a quiet puff of air before nodding in agreement. His fingers coming to a stop at the knee of his pants to tug a stray strand of string from the sown in edges.

"Then let's go....Us old dogs aren't going to last much longer and us crouching here behind a bush isn't life well spent." Quintens face contorted into a small scowl his whisper growing in volume though it still wouldn't make their position known. One of his best traits was his impatience, it always made him a lovely person on missions like these.

Old dogs? Mia thought to herself. She wasn't old! She was 20.... somthing. The government knew better. Actually, Quinten knew best because he was always saying something about 'your only a month older than me' or... something to that effect.

Shaking her head lightly, Mia nodded in agreement to him. She knew he meant the fast they were the last remaining double digit experiments. They were slowly becoming quite out dated. Honestly that didn't mean anything to Mia because as long as they did their job, they would be given their small freedoms, food and relaxing times.

Mia crouched lightly and started to speed walk across the pavement to the building in question. She stopped a door before pressing an ear gently to the metal. She listened long enough to confirm no one was standing about before lightly jiggling the knob to test if it was locked. To her luck, it wasn't. It would have been a real pain if she had to lock pick. It was truly a time consuming obstacle.

Opening the door as quietly as she could manage, she lead the way into the building.

Quinten interlaced his fingers sliding them into one another until his fingers joints rested atop his knuckles. At this point he then pressed his palms out in front of him quickly, resulting in scattered pops without a designated rythem. By the looks of it it seemed there weren't any guards to watch for near them and so to him there wasn't an overt reason for him to watch what he did to closely.

But it also could be for the reason that he wasn't entirely observant in most cases either, his brain naturally not worrying a lot about being quiet. The scientist always worried about him in certain scenarios which would involve him needing to remain on a single topic. For through out their experiments and observations they found that much like ADHD the task of him concentrating on a single thing was a difficult task for him. It growing as a problem even more as the truly traumatising and painful investigations of each experiment increased.

The masked male looked up when Mia began to move, he eyed her form for a moment to remind himself of how he should look himself. And as she had he arched his back forward attempting to make his large structure minimal as well as the sound his feet as he sped towards their next check point. Once he had caught up to her by the door his gaze scowwered their surroundings with precision, violence was to be averted he knew. For a moment he spared a glance back towards Mia to find her gradually opening the door, had it been unlocked? Quincy thought wearily becoming a bit more hesitant towards entering the building but did so, stepping in behind her he shut the door behind them as quietly as he himself would be able to do before sneaking after Mia.

"Where to now?"

(Forgot to mention this is a warehouse setting... also I had a small idea to help fuel your character's thoughts... so sorry if what I throw at them does not make sense.)

Mia wasn't planning too far ahead. Really she was not too sure what she was doing other then look around the area quietly till they found what they were looking for. For the smarter of the Faceless pair, it was rather unusual to go in without at least some kind of plan. Honestly Mia found if they planned too hard, they would make more mistakes than if they didn't plan at all. Humans can be hard to predict.

"Let's go up." She said, pointing over to the wall, where stares seem to go up to an office looking space. Mia took the lead, she didn't even bother to give her bigger partner any kind of choice. Besides she knew he wouldn't have any kind of objection. It was why he was asking. At least that was what she was assuming right now.

Move up the metal stairs, Mia tried her best to be as silent as possible. Which was not all that hard. However once they got on top, they were able to look down on the room below. There were a lot of people in the building, but a lot of them looked like children and women mostly. The room started to permeate sickness now that Mia really started to observe them. She covered her nose, which was impossible since her mask as in the way. "Stinks.." She whispered.

Scanning the room, Mia soon noticed a box sitting on a push cart. The box has all the medicine that was stolen from them not to long ago. Mia jolted Quinten in the side a bit hard in her excitement. "Forget information on where it's at... it's right there." Mia told him, pointing to the box. This could harbor a extreme change in plans. Hell they can just take the stuff right here... there didn't look to be very many combat ready people around guarding the area. Perhaps that was why it was unlocked, the area was open for anyone who came.

"What do you say to just taking it right now? You think you can take it? There is like... three people with guns as far as I can tell." Mia told Quinten. Her hands pointed out everyone whom she thought was armed. They were a bit spread out about the floor plan.
