Realistic or Modern Struggling Royals, Thriving Commoners

  • Date: Sunday, March First 2020
Location: The House, San Diego, California, United States
Time: 19:05 (five minutes past 7PM)
    Temperature: 13°C (55°F)
Weather: Sunset was an hour ago, so it is dark outside and the streetlights are on. There are thick clouds in the sky and rain has been forecasted to fall around midnight. There is a little bit of wind, but not strong enough to really make a mess of anything.

Both Commoners and Royals have been arriving over the course of the day. Some early, some just recent. Some with just a short travel by cab, others had a long travel with several planes. Some may have already picked out their rooms, while others may have claimed their spots on the couch or found their peace in the kitchen. No matter how or when they have arrived, by now all of them should be there, as the renting contract had clearly stated that all tentants should arrive before 7 PM. The idea behind this was that the tentants could all have a (self made or self provided) dinner on the first evening to get to know each other. The basic groceries have been done before the arrival of the first tentant, which included things as toilet paper, basic cleaning supplies, ingredients to make pasta bolognese for twelve people, some bread, eggs, milk, sliced cheese, marmelade and cereal for breakfast the next day and of course some bottled water, a six pack of cola, six pack of different sodas (two bottles of Sinas, two bottles, 7up and two bottles of Cassis), one case of beer and one box of wide (two bottles merlot, two bottles chardonnay and two bottles Muscat). Of course they also thought of snacks, so there are chocolate chip cookies, chips and pretzels around and icecream in the freezer. So all together it should be enough to survive the first evening and morning. The rest, however, is up for the tentants to arrange. And no matter how boring it is, perhaps making a schedule of the chores would not be a bad idea?

Mateo Rosales Díaz
Prince of Spain

Location: Bedroom Seven

Interaction: Open {room door is unlocked}

Mention: No one

Outfit: Simple
Carmelo Nicanor Echevarría was not a happy man. Not at all. He was tired and cranky due to the enourmous jetlag he had. He had not been allowed to use their royal and private airplanes. So he had just spend 18 hours and 45 minutes traveling from airport to airport. Most that time had even been on an airplane. With other people. The only thing his parents had been considerate enough to arrange for him was a driver from the airport to the house that would be his home for the upcoming year. Where he would live as Mateo Rosales Díaz, a mere commoner. He had spend the past hours to make up the perfect background for him as a commoners. He had come here to study. Perfect background, right? Despite being annoyed and cranky at the moment, he was rather giddy and excited as well. For the first time he would not be bothered with stupid parties he had to attend, or photoshoots he had to go to, or meetings he had to sit in on or whatever other things his assistant had scheduled for him. For the first time in his life, for as far as he could remember, he could do whatever he wanted! He had all the time in the world to spend doing all the things he liked, with no royal duties interrupting. Too bad however his horses had to stay back in Seville...

"Mister Díaz, yes, that is me. Totally me," the young male spoke as he walked up to the older male holding the sign with his commoner name. He handed him the bag that contianed his most importants clothes as he followed him to the car. He frowned a bit when the male did put his stuff away and opened the doors for him, but he didn't do it with the usual respect he was used to. Well, he was a mere commoner after all. And honestly, he was way too tired to really make a bit thing out of it. Tired and very hungry. Plane food was just not up to the quality he expected. Hopefully they would have a good cook at the house. He looked out of the window when they drove from the airport to the house. The United States sure were a lot different from Spain, he noted. The buildings alone and the people. No one seemed to smile here or be happy. Perhaps also for the better as he he was not in the mood to have friendly conversations either. He had just spend 11 hours on the last plane. And with all the timezones they have gone through, his body was confused on whether he should be sleepy, hungry or energetic again.

The young prince let out a deep breath as the car came to a stop and the driver turned back to him with expecting eyes. "That will be $55, sir," the stranger said as he held out his hand. The young male still looked a bit confused. He had to pay for this? He never had to pay for any of his drives before. He was a prince, for crying out loud. But currently only Mateo, the commoner. So he got his wallet out and handed over his credit card. His parents had said they would put money on it. Though he had no idea how much. $300 they had said, but that was probably just for the first day. He signed the receipt and got out of the car as he looked up at the house. Well, that was disappointing. And he was gonna live here with others? Well, hopefully they would all have their own quarters, then he'd be fine. "Thank you," he said when the driver handed his trolley to him. He wasn't that stuck up that he did not thank his servants for their work. Though he had to admit he often forgot to do so.

Mateo, as his name would be now, walked into the living room through one of the big open doors. He didn't think twice whether such a thing was safe or not. There were guards around, right? To stop intruders. He walked further into the room, but no one came to greet him or to take his jacket or luggage. Strange. Though perhaps a commoner thing. He looked over towards the stairs, but decided he was too lazy for that as he simply walked straight ahead. He grinned a bit at the sight of the pool table, that could be fun, but first, he wanted to nap a bit. His stomach complained about that decision, but he couldn't care less. 18 hours and 45 minutes of traveling had left him exhausted. Besides, in Spain it would have been 1AM now, so he was very tired. He looked a bit around as he simply took the room in the left corner. "Oh..." The disappointment dripped from his voice as he looked around. Nothing more than a bed and desk. He turned around and pulled his trolley behind him as he went down the little hallway. He took the room on his left again. "Huh..." The room was equally sparse and small. He tried the next door and the one on his right, but all of them displaying the same small rooms. Well, he had said before he'd accept whatever bed now and thus he walked back to his first chosen room.

He closed the door behind him as he kicked off his shoes and pulled off his socks. He undid his belt and let the white pants slide down his legs and let it lay on the ground. He unbuttoned his black shirt and let it slide down his arms to the ground as well. Once he was in his boxers, he slipped into the bed and between the very cheap and boring sheets. He really would have to decorate a lot, but right now, all he could think of was sleeping. And food, but they sure would wake him for dinner right? Sure they would. He was the crown prince of Spain. The young male let out a deep sigh as he found the right position to sleep in. Even though this bed was not at all up to his standards. Apparently after 18 hours of flying and being awake and previously having fallen asleep in an air plane seat that didn't matter as much any more. Besides the big meeting at seven was still two hours away, perfect to catch up on some sleep.

Ivaylo Daskalov
Commoner of Friendliness

Location: Kitchen

Interaction: Open / who ever is in the kitchen

Mention: No one specific

Outfit: The Usual
Ivaylo checked his phone. He was half an hour early, which was nice. It would give him some time to check the place out and chose a room. He only had a sports bag with clothes with him now. After all he'd first have to see what the place and the people were like, before he could bring in his stuff. And he had no idea how big the rooms were yet, so perhaps he couldn't bring all his things from the last place he had stayed at. Not that he had much to start with, but he just had not felt like bringing all that with him during the first day and first meeting. He was curious what the other tentants would be like. Hopefully some serious people like him, or at least serious about life and still fun to be around. He got off the bus that stopped just one block down from the house. Perhaps that was another reason why he had not brought any stuff with him yet. Tomorrow after classes his friend was available and they could use his car to bring all his stuff over.

Of course he had been to the sighting of the house, but it had been still build back then and he hadn't had the time for a more recent visit. Since there had been exams to make and study for. So, yes this was a bit of a gamble, but all the pictures had seemed very nice and it was rather affordable for all that they offered. Of course he had to share it all with quite a number of people, but socializing had never been his problem. He really didn't mind. He was just happen to have a good place that was rather close to the university. It was only fifteen minutes with the buss from here. He could even walk if he wanted to, but that would take a bit over half an hours. Still he did intend to do so on the days they had nice weather and he had the time. The only thing he was nervous about, was keeping his secret a secret. He didn't want these people to find out he was born a female, and still had a female body. He didn't want people to end up treating him differently when they knew. Though so far not many people knew. Only two of the people he had lived with and both of them had been rather shocked at first of course, but very open and accepting of it. But Ivaylo was aware that he had been lucky. For he had also seen the other side.

The Bulgarian male made sure that nothing showed that he was wearing a binder underneath the black turtle neck he was wearing. His outfit really was nothing special. He had not thought about dressing up for meeting this people. What did it matter? If they were gonna live together they would see the sloppier sides as well, so why be all pretentious upon the first meeting? Not that he was dressed sloppy. He was just dressed as he would be dressed every day. Nothing special. He smiled as he walked through the gate that brought him up to the huge house that he just signed a lease for a year on. He just hoped the other eleven tentants would be nice people, though he was sure he would have no problem adjusting. He hardly ever had a hard time with people, no matter how different they were. He smiled brightly as he walked into the house through the side door and into the spacious living. "Hello?" he called out. His accent still rather present in his voice. Even after living in the US for the third year now. It didn't bother him much, unless people started to be racist over it. He knew it sounded like a Russian accent and well, he had given up on trying to explain how European country worked to those prejudiced people. He wouldn't get them to understand anyway.

Ivaylo made his way up the stairs as it seemed that that was were the kitchen was and with it almost being seven o'clock im the evening, he assumed people would be hungry. He himself was one of those people after all and it was logical with it having been dinner time by now. He noticed several doors that probably lead to bedrooms, he would pick one later. Hopefully one close to the bathroom was still available. If not, he would make things work out. He wasn't too picky when it came to a sleeping place and there would be a room for anyone, so he wasn't too worried about not having a place to sleep in the end. His legs carried him through the little second living room into the kitchen. He quite liked the set up of the house, with how they could look over to the first floor. It had something cozy in his opinion. The kitchen was absolutely breath taking. Though with the white, it would need to be cleaned frequently to stay like this. "Did anyone make dinner plans yet? I don't mind cooking if we have groceries," he spoke to no one in particular.

He looked through the cabinets to see they already had plates, glasses, cutlery and pans. So they could indeed cook right away indeed. He took one of the glasses and walked up to the counter to fill it with water. "Oh my name is Ivaylo Daskalov, by the way," he said as he turned around to the people present. He stood with his back against the counter as he drank some of the water as he looked around. This place really wasn't that bad at all. Many people to share it with, yes. But he was sure they could all make it work. They just needed a good schedule and some good set of rules and hopefuly everyone would be responsible enough to keep to them. Since Ivaylo knew he was not the best at confronting others, no matter how social he was.

[/div] [/div] [div class=name]Commoner of Literature[/div] [div class=textcontainer][div class=text]From her old apartment to her new residence, Andrea's cab ride lasted for about 30 minutes, which was long for someone like her. With her bags all stuffed in the back of the cab and next to her, she looked outside the window. A new beginning. She couldn't lie, she was super excited to meet her new house mates, she was bound to find new and exciting faces. She'd always searched for an adventure in everything, and now that she was moving in with almost 10 other people, she had the chance to get said adventure.

When she arrived in front of the house, she and the driver got all the bags off, and Andrea paid him his wages (plus tips). When he left, she looked down at her luggage and sighed heavily, balancing her bags with her hands before pulling them all inside the house. When she opened the door, she was amazed to find an absolute steal of a house "200$ for this? If this house existed even sooner, I would've just moved here!" With her luggage behind her, she looked around the house, eyes wide and mouth agape. She pulled her things upstairs, deciding to get settled in a room now. Seeing that the kitchen was upstairs, she would favour a room there.

While passing by the kitchen, she saw someone inside, but decided to head over to room closest to the kitchen (Bedroom 1). Opening the door, she saw a simple bedroom, with a bed and a desk. Shrugging, she dragged her luggage inside "Could've had worse... Have had worse" She said to herself, letting the luggage sit next to her bed, before she left the room and closed the door, making her way to the kitchen. When she arrived, she waved at the guy inside and smiled shyly "Nice to meet you, I'm Andrea" Her Romanian accent still stood, even if she moved here almost two decades ago. She then looked around and walked over to the fridge "Don't worry about food, I'll take care of it... If it doesn't bother you?" She said nervously, a bright smile still shining "I'm sorry, I'm not exactly the best around new people... It's been a while since I've met.. uh.. People" She said, looking at him

Zoë had gotten to the house earlier than most of the other occupants. She had already picked her room (bedroom 9) and placed her things in their right places. Everything in its place made for a happy Zoë. When her room or surroundings were messy or cluttered she felt her mind was as well. Her things were always organized and in their place. She straightened out the white duvet she had brought along from her old place, lining up the pillows up against the head board. She was not too thrilled about sharing a home with many others but she always looked at life positively. "This should be fun" she said to herself before straitening out her shirt and walking out of her room. She left the door open. She always had an open door policy. She was happy to have people over to chat and gossip.

Zoë made her way out to the living room pacing from one side to the other before walking into the kitchen. "Hey" she said with a soft small to Ivayalo. She sighed softly opening up the fridge looking inside and closing it again. She wanted something to eat but was unsure as to quite what she wanted just yet. She stood there pursing her lips to one side before walking out of the kitchen and out to the patio. The view was amazing. She was quite shocked initially that she had found this place for such a great price, must be why there were so many people living under one roof.

Zoë laid herself out on one of the lawn chairs pulling her pack of cigarettes out of her back pocket. She gracefully laced one between her two full lips, flicking the lighter watching the cigarette spark to life. She took a long inhale of the cigarette, it was so quiet out there you could hear the paper burning. She pulling the cigarette away blowing the smoke through her nose.

Jessica Daniels
"You got two choices. My way or... my way"

location: New Home

with: Ivaylo and Andrea

outfit: [ x ]

"Here is your debit card, Identification card, and passport. You are no longer Adaolisa Nwanneka Olanrewaju, but Jessica Daniels. The moment you step on that plane, your new life will begin."

The Nigerian Royal sighed as her parents' words rung in her ear. When her parents dropped the news on her it was such a shock. Of course she tried to oppose it, but she lost in the end. There Adaolisa stood in the check in line waiting for her turn. Her parents' were gracious enough to have someone give her a ride to the Airport. She crossed her arms and used one manicured hand to move up and tap her chin as she waited. Her hands were simple French tips, as anything fancy (celebrity styled nails with all the embellishments) was forbidden. She stepped forward in line after a moment and picked around the person in front of her to see what was taking so long. Her parent's could've atleast gave her V.I.P. so she could skip the line.

$300 they said, what do I do with only $300 dollars? Rubbish. She thought to herself as she moved further along in the line. It seemed to be speedy up a bit so she peeked around the person infront again and saw that they opened a new counter. Good...good.

Once she checked in and she sat in the designated waiting area in the Sokoto airport for her trip to Lagos Airport. She would've preferred to just take the SKO to SAN but there were no flights. LOS had the earliest flight to SAN, so her parents sent her there. Adaolisa was not pleased because it was about a 4 hour flight more or less with a layover in Abuja.

Adaolisa made it in one piece, an irritated, but okay in general. The flight was cramped, the food that was served was terrible. Economy was just the worst. Why couldn't she atleast fly first class? She understood she couldn't have a private jet but economy? She made her way over to the terminal for the flight to SAN and pulled out the latest book the caught her attention. The first book of the Meredith Gentry series, a Kiss of Shadows.

She endured another economy flight, but this time for flight total of 21 hours and 30 minutes. She thought she would NEVER fall asleep in such unsettling scenery, but she did. In fact she passed out in her window seat. She awoke about 3 hours before she was due to land. So she pulled her book once more and started to read.

When she arrived, she all but bogarted her way to the front and went straight for baggage claim. She was allowed two large suitcases, one medium and a carry-on bag. Luckily the airplane had no problems with her luggage and it was grouped together. She grabbed them one by one and stacked the medium on one of the large suitcases, followed by her carry-on and trudged her way to the lobby of the airport. Where she saw someone holding a sign for Jessica Daniels. She let one of the large suitcases go and waved to the man before grabbing it and following him outside. She immediately shivered as the breeze touch her skin.

He had welcomed her to California, told her his name was John and wished her to have a great time. Then he opened up the trunk of the waiting Taxi he had and helped her put her things inside. While she made her way to the backseat of the Taxi, the man spoke to the Taxi driver and told him where to go. Adaolisa eyed them both as they chatted, it seemed they were friends or atleast knew each other. When the man who met her at the airport waved her goodbye she smiled and gave a small wave. Being polite never killed anyone, especially if it got you what you wanted.

The Taxi driver looked to be a middle eastern man or perhaps an Indian in his 30s. She caught him looking in his rearview mirror and looked out the window. Was she so exotic looking that even he needed to stare? She was starting to remember being at the different airports and on the planes, everyone was looking at her. Oh... it is the eyes I see. She softly chuckled to herself.

"You tell me how is California? Is it as good as they say?"

"It sure it, plenty of sun. Great beaches, malls.. the people.. they're really friendly. Low humidity so the weather is great!"

Adaolisa looked out the window at the clouds that were in the sky. They looked so angry, like it might rain. He caught her looking out the window. "Well, you have to excuse the weather." He paused. "It's a good thing you got in before the rain started, they usually ground planes in heavy rain." She simply nodded and continued to look outside.

"Is it usually this cold?" She asked him.

"You're cold?" He paused and spared her a glance before returning his eyes to the road. "No, not really. Where are you from?"

"I'm... from Africa. Just visiting." It was okay to say she was from Africa right? Just not use her name and title.

He opened his eyes wider and raised his eyebrows. "Oh? Wow. Your used to a hot climate. Well around these parts, this is normal and it's not really considered cold. It'll take some time getting used to it. I do hope you enjoy your stay... if you look behind the seat in front of you. There is a Tourist guide if you like."
Adaolisa grabbed the guide and flipped through it. "Thank you."

The Taxi ride took about half an hour to her destination and parked in the front. "That'll be $55 dollars ma'am."

"$55? Can't you do it for less? I come a long way with very little."

"I'm sorry to hear that but it's $55."

"Just this once eh?"

"$55."

She rolled her eyes and sighed heavily in defeat. She grabbed her debit card and handed it to him to run it. When he was done he gave it back to her. "Thanks for riding, enjoy your stay." Adaolisa didn't even bother to acknowledge him, she was irritated. Once she got out of the Taxi she went to the trunk and waited for him to pop it. When he did she grabbed all her belongings out and turned towards the place she would be staying. It does not looks so bad. I will see what inside look like. She thought as she made her way inside. The place was... plain.

Adaolisa looked around alittle bit before making her way upstairs which took more effort than she would have liked. She noticed two people in the kitchen and gave them glances before she kept on. She was far too irritated at the Taxi driver to engage with them. Her parents had told her she would be rooming with other tenants. She was pleased then and she wasn't pleased now.

She turned the corner and picked the bedroom she assumed would face the sun when it rose (Bedroom 5). She started unpacking her things and getting settled. Once she was done she stared at the room. It was even plainer than the house itself. Ugh what were Moda (mother) and Fada (father) thinking to send me here?

Heavily sighing, she made her way back into the kitchen where the two from earlier were. "Wétin dey? Hello, I am Jessica. What is your names?"

She was late. She hated being late. Late meant disrespectful. Late meant you had no care for other people or their agenda. Pulling a large duffel bag from the back of her Uber, Nova dropped it on the sidewalk. Returning to the trunk, she hefted an even larger box with an audible and loud grunt, the box's removal from the trunk causing the car to lift a few inches, and set it next to the bag more gingerly. Next came a long box, not as heavy but just as cumbersome given its length. Slamming the trunk closed, she waved to the Uber and watched them drive off, taking a moment to pull out her phone on the sidewalk, tipping the driver electronically. With a sigh, she dropped her phone back into her purse and looked over the house. It was bigger in person than it was in the pictures in the ad, and she definitely spied a balcony connected to a room at the front. That looked like a prime room to have, plenty of natural light for her setup.

Speaking of setup, she looked over her bag and two boxes, as if contemplating how to get them inside. The larger and heavier of the two did have punched-in handles, holes in the side of the box to pick it up from. Perhaps she'd risk pulling it along with a hand instead of picking it up all the way? Grimacing, she realized she was going to have to... Throwing her duffel bag over her shoulder, and the long box under an arm, she picked up the large box from one of the handles, and hunched over, proceeded to make a fool of herself and drag the box up the driveway. There was a lady smoking on the patio, which Nova initially wrinkled her nose about, but dismissed it in favor of a smile and a nod. She wouldn't expect her new housemates to help her just yet, but help at this particular moment would clearly be appreciated.

She stopped for a breath on the doorstep, huffing and puffing with her hands on her hips.

[div class=container][div class=image][/div] [div class=blk][div class=title]Tina Tillit [div class=line][/div] [div class=lil]The Cosplayer[/div][/div] [div class=b][div class=lilimage][/div][/div] [div class=info] [div class=post][div class=scroll] “GUYSSS!” Tina pulled herself forward over the center console from the back row of her friends' truck. She was overly excited that her friends agreed to help her move her things from her bedroom to her new place of living. With overwhelming energy coursing through her, she slapped her hands against each shoulder of the two chairs her palms rested on. Her friends were shaking their heads as they tried to stifle their laughter. “Don't laugh! You're lucky I'm letting you guys take a sneak peek at the place! You know it's been the talk of the town since they started building it.” She teased at them. “Oh come on Tina, you know you're lucky we're helping you.” She ruffled up the driver's hair as he drove. “Yeah yeah, thank you. You know I appreciate it.” The other male turned to her and swatted at her hand on his chair. “Just. Don't.” He was having trouble pushing her hand off at the angle he was at. “Forget about us peasants when you're rich and famous.” She pushed herself back into the seat while giggling. “I wont. But I can't promise my new friends wont be cooler than you and make you fade from my memory anyway.” She jested with a shrug as she caught disgruntled stares in the rear view mirror and direct eye contact. “There it is!” She pulled herself forward again pointing at the mansion as it came into view. The gates and driveway were open and ready for her arrival. Being a hour and a half early should give her plenty of time to be one of the first arrivals, hopefully, and a chance to get her things in before everything is claimed.

As they pulled to the front of the house, the two friends idled the truck at the front of the mansion and helped bring Tina's many bags of luggage and furniture pieces down from the back of the truck. “Did you really bring your whole room?” One friend asked. “No! I brought the essentials for my life and business.” She nodded as she sternly corrected him. The three brought all of her belongings inside and stood frozen at the sight before them. “This place is...absolutely insane.” Tina was practically speechless with excitement and that was incredibly rare. She took a look around inside the first floor and was immediately drawn to the upstairs. “I have to have the most secluded room. For business reasons, obviously.” She threw a quick bright smile to her friends as their shoulders sank and they sighed. With joy, she lugged a suitcase, duffel bag, and sling bag up the steps. She looked around, seeing that there was a kitchen at the top of the steps but doors around the edge of the walls. She took the chance to be immediately opposite the kitchen and came face to face with the bathroom. She looked left, then right, and decided to claim the one to her left (bedroom 4) since it seemed to be the most secluded so she could livestream with the least amount of noise to and from her housemates. At least, that's how it worked in her mind.

The boys dropped off her things after she reassured them that she would handle the arrangements and decorating. Throwing her arms around their necks, she pulled them into a tight hug. “Thank you guys so much. Really. I am so ready to start my career and life and you guys helped me take my first steps.” Both friends hugged her back in silence until it began to grow uncomfortable. One wiggled himself out of the hug and began to walk back to the truck. “We have to get going. Good luck. You'll do great.” The other friend followed with a wide grin. “I'm hoping one of these new housemates of yours is a fan!” He turned and ran down the steps and outside as quickly as possible, leaving the other to catch up to him. Tina ran to the top of the steps and yelled to them over the balcony. “You better hope you're wrong!” The thought had not crossed her mind and she was not ready for that kind of interaction in a house setting. Not yet. She also realized that they had made a huge racket so she hoped she really was the first arrival. She didn't want to stick around to find out. Not that it mattered. They would learn about who she was eventually.

Making her way back to her room, Tina got started putting her things where she felt they best fit in the barren room. It didn't bother her though, it was a blank canvas to make her own. Which she would find a great deal of pleasure in unsurprisingly. She put her suitcase full of costumes in one corner, her suitcase full of crafts in another, and unloaded her clothes into one of the dressers. She pulled bedding out of the duffel bag after removing a multitude of accessories and tossing it all on the floor so she could begin to dress the mattress. As she started making the bed, her mind wandered to the goodbyes and support from her brother and parents. Her brother was happy to see her gone but her parents were being their overbearing selves and saying they would come help her whenever she needed. Being so close to them was nice but also scary. Hopefully they never make any surprise visits. She was so ready to begin her life and take charge like she had been doing while at school. Now she has the freedom and chance to do everything she needed.

A hour had gone by and Tina finally set up her room to her liking. She had reverted to a starter set up, mostly, seeing as some of her other belongings were still at home. She wasn't sure if she would want some of those things on the first day and decided to make due. She had accomplished slight organization and the complete basic stream set up and slight lighting. She stepped back into the open doorway and put her hands on her hips as she admired her productivity. She flicked on the camera on her phone to take pictures for her announcement posts on her social media later and let out a breath of relief. “Okay. Now a quick break until -” Her ears perked up at the sound of voices nearby. Tina quickly closed her phone, put it in her pocket and turned to see people in the kitchen. She was so excited she didn't even bother to close the door. It was time to meet the new housemates and friends. She made her way to the kitchen with a wide wave of her arm. “Hey everyone! I guess I missed hearing you all come up the stairs!” She entered the kitchen and leaned against the center island propped up on her hands like a giddy child with a bright warm smile as she kicked her toes onto the floor. “I'm Tina. It's great to meet you.”

Aleksei Ivanov, furthermore known as Brais Mason, is undertaking life as a prince undercover so he can become a better leader and figure head. To be more understanding of the difficulties and feelings of the commoners by experiencing them first hand! Truly a genius idea father has had and Aleksei – No, Brais – agreed to the idea with great honor and pride. He would learn how to improve, achieve, and all things he was able while on this quest. With a clear goal and surging necessity to 'win' at the end of this, Brais took the days he had to prepare. As his father strongly suggested, he packed only his essentials as instructed since it would not be a constructive or conducive experience. Obviously since he was already starting with the advantage of being himself anyway, he agreed.

After being given his new identity and directions on how to get through his travels, Brais was given only a ride to the airport and the card with $300 on it for his allowance that he refuses to rely on or waste. Though Brais did toy with the idea of converting some ruble to dollars but decided that it would be a waste and it would make him unworthy. The first flight along his 18 hour travel time was not terrible. He had spent a majority of the time speaking to the people in his aisle. They were a kind couple only a few years older than him and they were going to visit family on holiday as a surprise since it had been two years since last seeing them. They were really kind and generous, opting to ask him about his plans and travels. He had adopted the story that he is going to work in America on a visa for an international company. It was not entirely a lie, as he did have a degree in political science and a minor in business management, thanks to his father's direction, and years of learning how to speak English so he could hold discussions and conversations when the time came. Now he would finally be able to put it in action. Still, Brais has not yet ascertained this position. He does not believe it will take him long though, his marks and achievements are all high and impressive.

The second flight was much more boring in comparison to the first. He had to pass the immensely long periods of time playing Sudoku and word searches in one of the books his mother had given him. He was thankful for the gift now though admittedly he was not when he initially received it. Eventually after getting through a few difficult puzzles, he nodded off and dropped in his chair. Only to wake up when they had 30 minutes before landing. It was just enough time to get himself psyched up and mentally prepared for the new world he would experience.

Landing went smoothly and the first thing Brais noted was the immense differences between the airports in America and home. The design, the clutter, the present stores. Though it did seem like things were laid out clearly enough. Following the signs and photos, he was able to find his one suitcase and walk out to the curb. There was a seemingly disgruntled older man holding a small sign that said 'Mason' on it and Brais made his way toward it, thinking it was for him. “Hello.” His deep and thick yet clear accented voice blurted into the man's face. “I am Brais Mason.” The man looked at him with a confused face and raised eyebrow. “I'm waiting for a Brian.” Brais practically cringed and shivered in anger as he assumed that the man just misunderstood his name for another when an older gentleman came up next to them and asserted that he had to get going. “Brian?” The driver asked. The man shouted yes and the two made their way into the car. Brais glared at the men as they walked away, frustrated that he was now stranded. There were taxi cars lining the road and he decided to walk up to one and see if it was available. Thankfully, the first vehicle and driver accepted the work and Brais was on his way to the mansion.

A taxi cab being his first use for his allowance card was not ideal but he did not really have a choice. The entire ride was silent until the man came up on the mansion and Brais watched his eyes widen at the sight of the magnificent home. Before the man had a chance to tell him the price, Brais leaned forward and handed him the card. “The meter tells me that the ride was $55. Thank you for the assistance.” The man looked puzzled as he ran the card but Brais did not know why. Once he got his card back he got out of the car and grabbed his suitcase and backpack. Instead of being able to take in the slightly chilly weather of the California night, he was more drawn to a struggling woman who was very clearly … what was the word in English? The way penguins walk. Wobbling? No... waddling. Her steps were slow and deliberate as she tried to hold her belongings. Brais rushed slightly to catch up to her as he called out. “Hello! Please, miss, let me help you.” His Russian accent was apparent in his speech pattern and strength of his voice. “We are now living together it is the least I can do.” He put his suitcase to the side and laid his backpack on top of it. He would just come back later after helping this poor girl. A visible look of confusion appeared on his face for a moment as he caught whiff of the smoke coming from above. It was lingering in the air ever so slightly and he did not particularly mind it but smoking was bad for health and should only be done sparingly. Unlike drinking, which can easily be recovered from.

Nova jumped when a voice sounded behind her, and she whirled quickly to see who it was, perhaps accidentally smacking the person with the long box that hung under one of her arms. It contained a green screen roughly the size of a projector screen, so it was definitely long enough. "Oh! Hi there, I didn't see you or hear you at all." she laughed nervously. "Sorry about the box, didn't mean to hit ya, you just kinda startled me." Nova set down her duffel and the long box, so that it stood upright, holding it to keep it from falling over. It gave her the appearance of holding a large, rather boxy staff.

"Help me? That'd be greatly appreciated, thanks!" she stated, passing the long box to him. "This big one is a bit heavy, so I figure we can get it upstairs together. I wanted to take that room by the balcony, if that's alright, so we gotta take this up there," Nova pointed to the balcony overlooking the front yard. Throwing her duffel bag back over her shoulder, she took a deep breath and picked up the front grip of the box, waiting for him to pick up the back half and help her carry it up. "Thanks again! I really appreciate the help!"

Once he picked up his half, she'd begin leading the way inside, finding the stairs and taking them carefully, using one hand to hold her dress close to her body so she didn't unintentionally flash her helper. With a turn, she lead the way into the room with the balcony (room 6) and promptly set down her half of the box in the middle of the room, dropping the duffel on the bed and motioning him to do the same with the long box. Smoothing out her skirt, she held out a hand and smiled widely. "My name's Nova Briarwood. It's nice to meet you!"

[div class=container][div class=border][div class=name]Hyeong Taeyang
[div class=role]prince of korea[/div] [div class=image][/div] [div class=textbox][div class=scroll] February 31, 2020 was the day Hyun Sang-Ook would be reborn as Hyeong "T.K." Taeyang. He will no longer have access to his name, family funds and pretty much any contact with family, events and anything that has to do with Hyun Sang-Ook. He was given a card with a limit of $300 in American money (which translate to about 376,988₩). This amount seemed ridiculous to him as this would be considered the same as giving him one brick and telling him to build a house. When his parents told him about this little plan a few days ago he didn't believe it. Until a few hours ago. Sang-Ook was scrambling to pack what things he was allowed to have. The things he couldn't have were long, so instead his parents just told him what he could bring. And his German Shepherd Suzi wasn't one of them. Among his necessities such as a toothbrush, tooth paste, deodorant, etc. He could bring two suitcases of clothes that weren't expensive by common folk standards, which included shoes, and accessories. Which he barely had anything within his parents' set standards. They knew this and had, beforehand, sent someone to shop for him. Sang-Ook watched as people brought in a couple outfits with shoes, accessories and box briefs. They were either of the some brand but cheaper items or brands similar (a.k.a knock offs or just fledgling brands). He started to panic, did they really think he would go for this? He almost wanted to call his parents out for this but that would just make it worse and he knew it. Once everything was laid out before him, said people left him to his own devices. Sang-Ook just stood there with a dumbfounded expression as he looked at the items servants and hired help brought in. He placed both his hands on his face and slowly dragged them downward as he sighed. A soft knock at the door and a equally soft voice followed. "We will leave within one hour, my Prince." He haphazardly tried to fold his items the best way he could and stuffed them in the two suitcases. It took him quite a few tries and he was getting frustrated with each one. He cursed underneath his breath when he finally got both suitcases zipped up. He then started packing necessary hair and skin care when the same voice announced he had five minutes left and to meet them at the front gate. Sang-Ook groaned and stuffed his toothbrush, tooth paste, mouthwash and deodorant. Once he had everything packed and ready to go he quickly changed into an outfit one of the staff had picked for him that somewhat mirrored his taste in cheaper clothes. Sang-Ook met the voice at the gate in five minutes. It was a bit chilly so he was thankful for the warm clothes they provided for him. It turns out it was his mother's assistant Yeon-hee Oh and some of her coworkers. He frowned as he got closer to them. "This way please." She ushered him into the awaiting vehicle and told the driver where to take him for his flight. Sang-Ook rolled the window down and looked out at his home and sighed sadly. Oh came over and handed Sang-Ook a small thick envelope and bid him farewell. The young prince looked into the envelope to find a passport with his new name and working papers. What? Did they expect me to get a job too? He groaned inwardly as he shifted through the envelope contents. The drive to ICN Airport was about 50 minutes. From there he was escorted by someone who rode with the driver in plain clothes. His parent's obviously didn't trust him to not get lost or run away. Once Sang-Ook was settled in the lobby he was bid farewell by his helper. He had about 30 minutes to 45 minutes to spare so pulled out some headphones and his iPod and started to play some music. When it was supposed to be time to board he and everyone else waiting for alerted there was a delay and the plane won't arrive for another 1 hour and half to two hours due to a necessary detour. He groaned and slouched in his seat as he waited. His parent's were gracious enough to give him a first class seat on the plane. Just to tell him it was the last luxury he'll enjoy for awhile. It wasn't a private plane, but it wasn't economy either and he was atleast thankful for that. The flight from South Korea to San Diego, California was a long one. Not as long as it could have been if it had more stops, but 13 and half hours was long enough and he slept for most of it. After Sang-Ook departed the plane and had his luggage which took some waiting and two tries to grab his things, he arrived in the departure lobby looking for a man he was told would have his new name on a sign. He stood there looking, but he didn't see anyone looking for a Taeyang. The crowd around him was getting smaller and smaller and so was his hope of finding his guide. About ten minutes passed and someone came jogging holding a sign. Sang-Ook furrowed his brows at the Caucasian brunette with glasses. That better not be my-- He thought and was cut off when she held up the sign. Something snapped in him and he narrowed his eyes. He grabbed his things and marched over to the woman. But before he could say anything in either Korean or English she profusely apologized up and down explaining why she was late. She was running some kind of errand since his flight was delayed and figured she had time to do it. At the end of her little speech his face softened and he sighed. He started in Korean but switched his language flawlessly when he noticed she looked confused. Of course. "Just, take me where I need to go." He motioned before them and followed behind her once she started walking. Sang-Ook wasn't really paying attention but she was chatting about weather, flights, dogs or plants or something. Once he and the lady arrived where the Taxi's were she hailed him one and told the driver where he would be taking Hyeong Taeyang. The driver looked to be in his late forties to mid fifties and also Caucasian. He had salt and pepper colors throughout his soft brown short hair "First time to San Diego lad?" Sang-Ook looked up at the man and answered. "Yes it is. It's alittle bit colder where I come from, so the increase in temperature is welcomed." The Taxi driver just chuckled and then waved at the lady goodbye who apparently went by the name of Sandra. Sang-Ook thanked her just before the driver drove off. The drive was mostly quietly aside from small chit chat and the driver telling him about some great places to check out. "Well, here we are um... Mr. Ta.. uh" The man struggled to remember his name. "It's Taeyang. And this is it?" He looked out the window and they arrived closer. It looked...well.. nice. He expected it to be worse than this. Single family home worse. Or Multi family home worse. "That'll be 40 bucks." And he reached out his hand towards Sang-Ook. Sang-Ook looked at him for a moment. "Oh." Was all he said as he fished for the card his parent gave him and handed it over. Once the man was done with it he handed it back and wish him a pleasant stay. Sang-Ook got out of the car and grabbed his suitcases from the trunk and stared at the huge house before him. He was told at last minute by Yeon-hee Oh that he would be rooming with 11 other people. He didn't understand until he arrived. This house was beyond that of the average muck could afford. And on that note, that meant 11 common folk he had to live with, people who he didn't know or understand. Sang-Ook sighed heavily and stopped quickly. I've been sighing alot lately... well let's just get this over with. He thought as he made his way to the door. Once he opened it he walked inside and looked around while he stood at the door. It was...okay. Sang-Ook stepped forward and looked out at the living room space and turned to his left to see some doors and a hallway with what looked like another hallway attached to it. Upon further inspection he noticed there was no where to eat. He stepped in further and spotted the stairs, perhaps the eating area was upstairs? Sang-Ook faintly heard talking from upstairs and decided to stay downstairs for the time being. He wasn't quite ready to see anyone. The young prince instead decided he should find a place for his things. He went down the hallway and noticed a closed door. Common sense said that it was taken, but he wanted to check it out anyway. He touched the knob and turned it easily. well, it wasn't locked so maybe no one was in there? Once the door was open all the way he saw a figure laying in the bed (Mateo). "Oh.. shille hamnida (Sorry for interrupting)." [/div][/div] [div class=info][div class=text]MOOD: Panicking, Confused, Worried, Embarassed. LOCATON: Bedroom 7. Mateo Rosales Díaz
Prince of Spain

Location: Bedroom Seven

Interaction: Some Male (Taeyang) Pysren Pysren

Mention: No one further

Outfit: Simple
Carmelo, or Mateo, had the feeling he had barely even had five minutes of sleep when he was interrupted by someone opening the door. What the hell?! They could have had at least knocked! No matter who was interrupting his sleep. His fingers curled around his blanket as he pulled it tighter. No way that is was already seven and time for the meeting and dinner. His frown deepened and annoyance grew when who ever had come in did not realise their mistake by muttering some apology and leaving again. Instead some gibberish language filled the room and that person, a male judging by the voice, stayed in the doorway! These people really needed to learn some manners as he lowered the blanket and gave a very annoyed glare towards the door and the person just standing there.

"What do you want?" His voice groggy from both just waking up and being highly unamused. Normally he'd be more enthusiastic to meet new people, his curiosity would bring out his friendlyness, but not when he had just woken up. Definitely not when he had been disturbed during his sleep. Yeah, he was someone that could better be left alone for at least an hour in the morning, but alas. It was not morning at the moment. Yet due to the changes in time and the jet lag and everything it still felt like morning to him. However that didn't stop him from taking the person in. He seemed to be slightly older than him, but it was that long beautiful hair that kept most of his attention and even seemed to melt some off his grogginess away.

Mateo let out a deep breath as he sat up and stretched out. The blanket pooling around his hips, as he felt little to no shame for showing his half naked upperbody. It was kept well in form and he knew he had nothing to be ashamed for. "Sorry for being a bit... annoyed," he said with a softer tone. Now that he had taken in the situation a bit more, he could see it may have been partly his fault too. He had not locked the door after all. He had not made it obvious the room was taken, nor that he was asleep and did not want to be disturbed. Though he still held onto the opinion the other person should have knocked before just barging into his room. Furthermore, he was a royalty, so he was suppose to give a good example. And to be friendly and approachable at all times, even in the most dire and unexpected situations. He swung his legs out of the bed, for a moment searching for his fluffy house shoes, but they were still stuck in the unpacked bag. He should do that after dinner.

"Anyway my name is Mateo Rosales Díaz," the young male introduced himself. It was still a bit weird to use that name, even though he had chosen it himself since it was easiest to remember for him that way. He grabbed his pants and put them on, while standing up. Next he picked up the white shirt and pulled it on as well. He walked up to the male so he could shake his hand. THat was the common way of greeting, right? He was mostly used to people bowing to him, but he was not a prince here. Not really. "Do you have any idea if dinner is ready yet?" He opened up his bag to find his nice houseshoes right on top and he put them on his bare feet.

Ivaylo Daskalov
Commoner of Friendliness

Interaction: Andrea Delphine Delphine // Jessica Pysren Pysren // Tina iShyShy iShyShy

Ivaylo watched the female that just left the bedroom and came into the kitchen. Her accent sounded thick through in her voice. Eastern Europe, he assumed, not Russia and not Bulgarian, but Romanian? Andrea was a typical name from their countries as well, just as common as Ivaylo perhaps. "Oh, no, it wouldn't bother me at all," he said with a big welcoming smile when she offered to make food. He stepped a bit away from the counter so she had all the room she wanted. "I haven't checked yet what we have on groceries, or if we have to get that first." He doubted it though. He walked through the kitchen with the pantry as next deignation when a rather colorful lady walked into the kitchen. She gave them a half greeting as she opened the fridge, whoever the contents didn't seem to please her. "Hey," he said once again, expecting her to introduce herself. Though instead she just walked out onto the balcony. Perhaps she was not that good with strangers either?

As he opened the door to the huge ass pantry, the Bulgarian male turned towards Andrea. "That is okay, just take your time getting used to things," he spoke with a bright smile. He grabbed some of the pasta that had been stocked up. Spaghetti to be precise. He grabbed the tomato sauce as well and came back to the kitchen. "I don't mind doing the talking for the both of us," he said. He wanted her to feel comfortable around him, and anyone for that matter. It was her house too and she should feel safe in it. And once she got more used to him, things mind warm up more. "So, I found this. Other than this the pantry is still quite empty." There was enough shelf room to store whatver they would want. They could easily stock up to survive for a week or two, even with this many people.

Just as he put the stuff down, another woman entered the kitchen. Where all his housemates gonna be women? He felt a bit nervous with that idea. Women were mostly a lot more perceptive to small changes and to details. Plus women being women would notice the little things that he wasn't truly male, perhaps. He couldn't even be bothered by the fact she didn't sound or acted too friendly when she asked, or more demanded, to know their names. "Nice to meet you, Jessica," he said and added his usual friendly smile. "I am Ivaylo and that is Andrea." He would have introduced the girl out on the balcony as well, if he had known her name, but alas, he didn't.

Apparently the kitchen was becoming the new meeting point as yet another female made her entree, from all across the hall way. He peeked into her room a bit, as far as he could see things from here. He should probably pick one of the rooms himself. Preferably close to the bathroom. Perhaps he should have done so before heading up here to the kitchen. Though it was too late for regrets now. He would just have to take what was left, or hope that someone was not yet unpacked and willing to trade. Or he could go scout out a room now? "Hey Tina," he said with a bright grin, despite his worries. She seemed like a nice enthusiastic person. "I am Ivaylo, our stunning cook is called Andrea and this beauty here is Jessica," he said. Hopefully the ladies would not mind the compliment, or think he was creepy or flirty or anything like that. "And if you all don't mind I still have to find myself a room, before all the best ones are picked," he chuckled. With that he left the helping for cooking in the hands of Jessica and Tina. He was sure the latter wouldn't mind. She really seemed like nice girl.

Ivaylo picked up the bag he had left at the corner of the kitchen. "Are any of the upstair rooms still free?" Again he wasn't talking to anyone in specfic. The girls he had met seemed to all have chosen their rooms upstairs, so he wouldn't mind staying upstairs as well. He was walking out a bit into the sitting area as he looked down at the first male voice. Thank god, he was not the only male. Well, sorta kinda male. It was nothing compared to the one that came in helping yet another lady. Was it envy or admiration that made him watch those muscles bulge and that strong body move up those stairs? Who knew? He quickly blinked his eyes when he realized he was staring and the lady directed the stuff to be taken into one of the remaining bedrooms. He followed a bit, but both room closest to the bathroom were already taken, judging by the unpacked stuff. For the remaning upstairs room he'd have to go through the relaxing room to get to the bathroom. Not really ideal for his situation, so he turned to go down and try his luck there. "You ladies gonna be okay on your own for a moment, while I check downstairs?" he asked, mostly looking towards Andrea.

[/div] [/div] [div class=name]Commoner of Literature[/div] [div class=textcontainer][div class=text]"Thank you, I appreciate it" A simple gesture like making her comfortable was enough for Andrea to feel more than welcome here. "I see, well.. I hope everybody likes pasta, and that they like my cooking.. Oh, we should totally all go grocery shopping together. Or at least two of us" She said, laughing softly. When the other woman came in, Andrea waved at her "It's nice to meet you Jessica.. Ivaylo already said my name, but I'm Andrea." She took the pasta box and the sauce, putting them near the stove, before she started looking in the cabinets. Once Tina arrived, she turned back around, bumping her head "Ouch.." She rubbed her head for a bit before looking at the girl. "Oh! Ivaylo, that's so sweet. It's nice to meet you too, Tina."

"Didn't you already do that? You have to go pick a room. I think there are a few left, I have no idea.. I just picked one and stuffed my luggage inside." She said, shrugging. She was about to turn around again when she heard him. "Don't worry about us, we won't burn down the kitchen, we'll be fine!" She was being optimistic, since she had no idea who could cook, and who couldn't. She glanced at the two girls "Do you guys want to help me make dinner? It's not complicated, we didn't have a lot to work with so we're making pasta" She said, turning back around to pick out a pot. After settling for one, she closed the cabinets and put it in the sink "..Sooo... Where do you guys work at?" She asked, looking back at the both of them every once in a while.

Moving day was finally here and by god was Laika counting down every moment until this day arrived. She couldn't wait to get to her new home. Sure it was shared but she was much happier living with a larger group of new people that stay in her current tiny apartment and her current roommate. Too much drama in those walls for her and she had no qualms with kissing those walls goodbye, she had even packed all her belongings days in advance in case she was let move in early. Shared or not, the new house was gorgeous in the pictures and a steal when it came to rent. she couldn't believe her luck! It did cross her mind that this could be a scam for a brief while when first stumbling upon the advert but weighing her current living arrangements she took the chance.

Lucky for Laika, when she arrived at the house it was very clear that it definitely was not a scam and she was over the moon about that. Thanking the Taxi driver with a beaming smile she hopped out of the vehicle, the driver hopping out too to help her take her luggage from the trunk of the car, though to be fair she could probably handle it herself. Her frame was small but she was deceivingly strong. After all, with working in a care home during her studies, she regularly had to help lift and move weaker residents.

She lifted the bags with what looked like ease and nodded as a goodbye to her driver once he had got back into his car and drive off. Finally here..." she mumbled to herself as she looked to the building, just catching a male and female stepping into the house before her. She was a little too far away to greet them but she was sure she'd get plenty of time to get acquainted later, after all they were going to be her housemates. Upon entering the house with luggage on tow she stopped. Wow this place looked amazing. she landed on her feet for sure when she found this place. She just hoped her housemates were nice... She already heard multiple voices once in the house, her ears following the sound as best she could. She first peeked into the living room but saw no one, pursing her lips slightly upon seeing that, she thought that's where everyone would gravitate too. A cosy looking couch would be one of her first choices to go for sure.

Her thoughts wandered to her next conclusion, maybe everyone was off picking their rooms already? she had already ran a little late with traffic but she did recall that everyone had to be here by 7pm. Her eyes drifted to the luggage she left next to herself when looking into the living room.Though she eventually figured out that they were all just in the kitchen. Even so, maybe it was best she did the same to get a good room before checking out what the kitchen was all about. Up she lifted the bags again as she walked down the hall leading to the first floor bedrooms. Now to figure out which rooms were still free... The first one did? Maybe? it was open and empty. the next room was in the corner but peeking in revealed two men talking, clearly claimed. "Oh!" She blurted out quietly as she took a single step back from the room. She wasn't sure if she was spotted but either way offered a slightly sheepish smile and a wave, wanting to say hello for politeness sake but feeling a little apologetic for interrupting their conversation like that.

Maybe first time was the charm? She stepped backwards again to peek into the first empty room again, it was sort of calling to her and she didn't want to bother anyone else in their rooms and make a bad first impression...No suitcases or people in there. this would do just fine. It was definitely much better that her old room. With that she pulled her bags in and tossed them onto the bed provided before tossing herself onto it too, bouncing slightly as she landed on her back. This was nice...the bed was in a perfect spot and she could already imagine how cosy her glow in the dark stars would look on the ceiling. The thought brought her gaze to the bags beside her. Pulling some stuff out now could be a plan. Just to sort of...claim the room she supposed, maybe she could even stick some of the stars up...Short as she was she'd need a chair for that...luckily there was a desk and chair here already.

Pushing herself up into a seated position she leaned over and zipped open the first case, the first object greeting her being a green plushie alien. Something her father had bought her years ago and she couldn't seem to part with, even at 22. Too much sentimental value that little green creature had. With a half smile she pulled him out of the bag "Well Zip, you can take your spot on my desk" she said with a light laugh to herself as she stood up placed it on the desk. She needed to stop talking to herself like this with new people around. After all the door was opened.

Once content that Zip was in a comfortable position she pulled over the chair from her desk and got to work, quietly humming to herself as she took the bag of stars and stood up on her tip toes on the chair, sticking some of the stars on the ceiling. She wanted her space ready as soon as she could and at least she could get these little bits and pieces done before getting tired and hungry...
