Any chance you're still accepting? Please say yes. This is similar to another RP I joined here but it never really got off the ground; I've been craving something in the same genre ever since. (:'()
I think we can take you, considering one of our members is missing in action :)

Bio:
William's biological mother was a teenage girl living in Atlanta, Georgia with no money, job, or family support system capable of properly caring for herself -- much less her infant son -- after he was born. Hendrix was taken in by the state, bouncing around between foster homes until his eighth birthday, when he was permanently adopted by a prominent Atlanta police officer as well as his wife (a nurse at Grady Memorial Hospital). He quickly bonded with Lance, the Hendrix's biological son who was near Will's own age. However, after the death of their mother, their dad slowly spiraled down into an alcohol-fueled depression that manifested as neglect (as well as occasional abuse) of his two sons.

With no one else to look out for them, the brothers supported one another all the way through high school graduation, after which they both enlisted with the United States Army, volunteering for service with the 75th Ranger Regiment. Both of them made it through the year of grueling infantry and airborne training before being assigned to the 1st Ranger Battalion. William served with distinction through multiple combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, working his way up to join his company's sniper section.

However, in 2013, the sniper team Will was leading was ambushed in Afghanistan's Kandahar Province. Severely injured by an IED blast and pinned down by enemy fire, Lance came to his aid, dragging him to safety but not without being mortally wounded in the process. William survived, but his left leg was amputated below the knee and replaced with a prosthesis.

Following his discharge from the Army, Hendrix returned to the United States. His physical and mental therapy were partially successful, as he adjusted quickly and successfully to the use of his new prosthesis. However, William was nonetheless afflicted by moderate PTSD as well as an intense opiate addiction. He spent most of his savings on prescription painkillers (and, eventually, heroin) before finally running out of funds. With no other bargaining chip, William offered his knowledge: training men loyal to one of his drug dealer's business associates in marksmanship, small unit tactics, and urban warfare. He was unaware that these men belonged to no other than Fyodor Ivak.

The arrangement was satisfactory for all three parties until William awoke from a heroin-induced stupor one morning to a news broadcast. One of Fyodor's former lackeys (set to testify against him) had been massacred, along with his family and police escort... using techniques Hendrix himself had taught. In a rage, William forcefully "detoxed", ending his addiction by suffering through two weeks of isolation and withdrawals. Finally, recovered and clean, Hendrix has given himself a new mission: neutralize Fyodor Ivak.

Personality:
William is quiet by and reserved by nature, avoiding boisterous displays of emotion. He was regarded by those he served with as a professional and fair -- albeit firm -- team leader. Unfortunately, that firmness can often be seen as an uptight and overbearing attitude toward those he works with. He is occasionally undiplomatic in his dealings, giving off a vibe of "my way or the highway".

However, he can be surprisingly warm given time to truly get to know someone. He is fiercely loyal to his comrades, which, along with his determination and toughness, make him a valuable ally to anyone who can look past his initial gruffness.

Now, however, that bright spark in his demeanor is more difficult than ever to find amongst his guilt and PTSD-wracked psyche.
