Stranded Island (Lori Williams x DrHuggies)

Lori Williams

Two Thousand Club
(@DrHuggies)

Eden woke up washed up on the shore of an unfamiliar beach. She tried moving but when she did she felt shooting pains across her body. When she finally got up certain memories played through her head. All she could think or remember of was the plane alarm beeping and adults and kids everywhere screaming. Then it was black. All black.

She started walking around, desperate to find someone else. She couldn't stand the idea of being alone on an island. Thankfully she found a man lying on the ground. Eden knelt down carefully on the sand and shook the male a few times.

The plane was shaking violently and alarms were beeping everywhere. Cassius quickly held himself in a safe position as the plane contacted the sea. Suddenly all sounds were muffled as water filled Cassius' ears. Alarmed Cas swam up to the surface for a breath. He found the unconscious body of a girl and quickly swam down to pick her up. There was an island nearby so Cas swam there with the girl. He laid her on the sand and walked a bit away. Feeling exhausted, Cassius lay down to rest.

It seemed like only seconds ago when he had gone to sleep, but was suddenly woken by the girl he saved. He jumped back a bit, surprised. He then realized it was the girl and settled down a bit. Sticking out his hand he said, "Cassius Yamamoto, and you are?"

Eden was relieved when the male woke up. She smiled and took his hand, shaking it. "Eden, Eden Monroe." she said, but her smile quickly faded. "Do you have any idea where we are?" she asked, a desperate look taking over her facial expressions.

"An island in the middle of f***ing no where it seems," Cassius sat down on the sand, he decided he would keep the fact that he saved her a secret for a while. Cassius suddenly stood up. "We will need to look for food, water, and make a shelter," Cassius said, remembering some survival game he had played before. Cassius got up and walked into the tropical forest.

Eden jumped a bit when he suddenly stood up and listened carefully to hat he said that they had to do. She had never been the active type of person. Most of the adventures she had were inside her head or in books. All her imaginative adventures were now reality. As he walked away Eden stood back up and jogged after him. She went through the things the guy, Cassius, had said they needed. Food. Eden saw some coconuts and decided to go crazy and try climbing up the tree. She carefully pushed herself up a few feet before falling down. She rubbed her back. It wasn't bruised too bad, but she wasn't about to try again. "Hey, Cassius, do you think you could get those coconuts down?"

Cassius turned around and looked up. "Probably," He walked up to the base of the tree. "Why don't you go look for some wood or something," Cassius asked as he started to climb the tree. It was a hard climb and Cassius was exhausted. He looked up to see he was only half the way up, and he still had a while to go. Cassius strained up the last few meters, his muscles aching with the effort. "Look out below!" Cassius yelled as he threw down all the ripe looking coconuts onto the soft rain forest floor below. He then slowly climbed back down and sat there a while, regaining his breath.

Eden nodded her head like a 6 year old and looked around. There was a nearby tree that had fallen. There were big pieces of wood that had popped off when the tree fell. She carefully gathered all of them and struggled to carry them back. She came back to see a good gathering of coconuts. She dropped the wood and smiled, seeing a source of food. "Is this enough wood?" she asked, not taking her eyes off the ripe fruits.

"We will probably need twice as much, unless you want us both to sleep in a one person sized shelter." Cassius said, "I'll go look for some water, while you go get some more wood." Cassius grabbed a small but strong branch and smashed the end on a rock making a sharpish end. He did this twice and made two, weak spear type things for him and Eden. He grabbed his spear and set out to find a source of fresh water. Unaware of what dangers lurk the forest.

Eden felt around the spear. She wasn't good at handling dangerous things so she was extremely careful with it. She looked around, hoping to find some more wood. There were some other trees fallen around the same area so she picked all of the wood up, gathering a lot more wood than before. When she got back to the location where they had gathered all their equipment, Cassius wasn't back yet, so she sat down on a tree stump and counted the seconds she waited.

It was a long, hard trek until Cassius finally found a source of fresh water. He knew he had traveled in a direct straight line so as long as Eden hadn't moved everything he was fine. After scouting around the fresh water a bit and finding nothing of harm, he started to walk back when a huge, tusked beast jumped out of the woods. It looked like a leopard but had huge boar tusks coming from the side of its mouth. Alarmed, Cassius held his spear out to the beast. The beast let out a deafening roar. Cassius turned and ran towards where Eden was. The leopard beast soon chased him. It bounded, each leap bringing it closer to Cas. There was a huge crack of trees and a rhino like creature ran into the side of the leopard beast. Cassius yelped in surprise as the two colossal beasts fought each other on the floor. Cassius quickly ran, a small gash running down his leg, the blood soaking his his shoes. Upon returning to Eden he collapsed, exhausted. "I found some water."

Eden heard a lot of crashing and breaking and she stood up from the stump she had been sitting on. She saw a creature in the distance and she stepped back a few steps and tripped on a few twigs. Cassius came running over to her with a gash down his leg. Eden quickly knelt down beside him and checked his leg. "Does it hurt?" It was obvious, but she didn't know what to ask.

(Sorry for late reply, the notification got lost in the bombardment of alerts I got :P )

"No not really," Cassius replied. "I'm ok," he said again after Eden didn't stop checking his leg. He stood her up and smiled, I found some fresh water, but we may need to use a different route," Cassius started to make a sort of sled out of the wood to help carry all the other items they had found. "Can you help me tie some knots with these vines?" Cassius asked Eden as he started trying to tie the pieces of wood together.

(Same, RPN's alert system can get confusing sometimes)

Eden pulled a smile and nodded. She knelt down and started to help him tie the knots. She had never been strong in camping or survival skills, but she wasn't too bad. "Is this good?" she said, holding up pieces of wood tied together.

Cassius smiled, "good enough," he then loaded all the food and wood onto the sled and started to drag it to the stream. All the rugby scrum training had payed off as Cas tugged the sled. They reached a muddy part of the forest and Cas started to slip as he pulled the sled. Then as if it wasn't hard enough already a vine snapped and the sled tumbled apart, all the contents spilling onto the mud. "Sh*t," Cas cursed.

(I'm so sorry for the late reply I just had a big move to a new house and I didn't have wifi for a while it nearly killed meeeee :( So sorry again)

Eden pulled a difficult smile. All she could do right now was try her best to be some help and try to be positive. She leaned down and started picking up all the stuff that fell onto the mud. "How's your leg feeling?" Eden asked. It still looked pretty bad which is why she decided to check on it.

(Its really all good, hope the move went well, apart from the dropping laptop lol)

Cassius smiled and sat down in the mud to tie the sledge back together with a new piece of string, "it should be fine," Cassius said. Once he had mended the sledge he put the things back on and continued to the stream.

When they finally reached the stream it was beginning to become the evening. Cassius looked down at his dirty self and sighed, "would you mind turning around while i clean up?" He asked.

(Ahaha I know right)

"Um--sure." she mumbled, turning around. She was pretty dirty herself. Her shirt was torn at the back and her shorts were covered in mud and little twigs, but it didn't both her. She had a lot more things to worry about other than what she looked like at the time.

Cassius winced as he stepped into the cold water. His cut stung and he let out a quiet groan of pain. He quickly got the dirt out of his cut and his body. He got out and dressed. "You better get cleaned as well, its not a good feeling when mud dries and gets all itchy," he said as he tapped Eden's shoulder.
