Sybil Shepard

Late Fall 1881
New Mexico Territory (somewhere near New Mexico)
Near Sunset

It is 1881 and one of the last cattle drives has come to an end. I say the end as the coming of the railroad and refrigeration spells the end of the long cattle drives. You lived alone on your ranch, a 640 acre parcel of land along the Rio Grande north of New Town (Albuquerque, NM).

Your horses and cattle were disturbed when a lone woman strayed onto your land. She was the strangest sight you had ever seen. (She looks like her pic above - no mark on her cheek though. Yes, red eyes, but wearing steampunk goggles that hide them until removed. Her lips are that red, but with no makeup on. Her skin is that perfect. And yes, blue hair.)

From a distance it was obvious by her form that she was a woman. She was staggering from a long walk across the dry terrain as she approaches from the East. Before she could respond to your calls, she collapsed. Upon first examination she was likely suffering from dehydration. It wasn’t so hot that heatstroke was the culprit.

Note:
I would consider other historical points. I can think of several. I DO prefer that the initial meeting be in remote circumstances. In the scene above she had to walk across miles of rough terrain to reach civilization. In later time periods she falls in love with a 1913 Ford Model T. She loved retro technology. Of course, if it is 1914, it wouldn’t seem so retro. And if it was 1921, she might try coaxing an old car back to running condition.

One might also note that she is wearing men’s clothing. Good luck convincing her to break that habit.

Final note: History doesn't have to be perfect. If you look at Sybil's CS, there is no reason the RP timeline has to be perfectly ours. This means if you get history slightly wrong, no big deal.

Final final note: I am looking for a literate writer. A CS will be required. And I want someone who can contribute to a plot.

I left a bit of grey area in there so we could tailor the RP. PM me with what you have in mind for a character - or if you had a different time in mind, etc. The RP will need a reason to go past a simple meeting. IE - what troubles your character has. Or the area has. (New Mexico's first Marshal was convicted and hung for murder.)
