Alrighty, that's the stats part of my character sheet done as well! Just need to write up some story and personality stuff then I'm good to go :)

Are we going to know one another prior to game start?

I was gonna ask that as well once I had come up with a proper character concept. I'd be quite interested in knowing people if they'd like to connect backstories.

Timmothy would most likely be a wandering scholar, and would be arriving to town for yet another source of information as well as supplies to be bought in order to continue his quest of making the grandest discovery in the alchemist world..... and maybe write down a few notes about how to make even more explosive mixtures and potions....

I'm retooling my character, but I should have everything up by the end of today. Then I'll be on board for any connections!

Need to write up Esvele's backstory, but she probably came to Nightstone to see if she could find more information on the obsidian chunk. Been there for a little while, but was originally studying back in some larger city. Open to any connections-

Toric probably wouldn't be able to have known any of the other characters very long, having only recently left his forest home, but he could definitely have met someone else on the road to Nightstone or shortly after arriving -- he's probably just following around the first person who seemed vaguely interesting or who decided to talk to him.

Maybe him traveling with Timmothy would interest ya, after all, seeing a Ratfolk especially one way far out would possibly interest him. And Timmothy wouldn’t mind having someone to talk to on his travels throughout the road. Of course... this is your choice if you want, don’t want to force it upon you or anything

Oh for sure! Toric's better with animals than he is people, too, so he'd be a bit more comfortable with a furrier person like him. He probably just looked at Timmothy and went "That's one big rat, the rat talks?? : O ", then decided he was a friend. Toric isn't exactly the best conversation partner, and he has a few eccentricities, but he's friendly enough and a good bodyguard if they ever ran into trouble on the road. He has a few things he's planning to do now that he's left his home, but mostly he's curious to see the world, and travelling with someone like Timmothy would certainly be a good way to start

Character's mostly finished. I went with a Ranger because I thought it'd be more beneficial all things considered. I'll get an in-depth backstory up relatively soon but the TLDR is that he's a drifting mercenary who pops in and out of the coastal towns.

Alright, nearly done. If anyone would like to connect backstories / know each other, I'm open for it. Otherwise just got a few more things to discuss with the GM before I'm done.

Likewise, I'm fully done now. Ehlark's backstory is up, and kinda lengthy.
He's the son of an innkeeper, became a mercenary, and got very hurt, has only returned to active work in recent years.
I left it open-ended for connections.

So, if I understood correctly he is not native to Nightstone, correct? He is basically passing by on his travels?

Oh? Were the mercenaries also native to the general area, or at least frequently present in it?
Yes, the trade route I referenced (Long Road), can be found on the map initially posted in the OOC by the DM. The mercs come from a town higher up on the map (and also along Long Road) called Triboar.

One last question: Do you have a definitive composition for those mercenaries decided yet?
