The Premise
Aidia, with all of its flaws and drawbacks, once was a peaceful land; a land of eight kingdoms who lived, more or less, in amity; a land where people and creatures alike lived in harmony. However, months prior to the story, heaven opened its gate over Aidia, releasing an archangel to wreak havoc on the land. And havoc was wreaked.
Dragons, passive creatures with hearts of literal gold, main way of transport in Aidia, started killing their masters; their best friends. These creatures’ once black eyes were now shining red with the forthcoming of anarchy and blood. Other animals followed suit, killing anything in their non-existent path. Even some people could not defy the power of the rift, and so when the rift first opened, massacres were happening throughout the land.
Disarray, panic, eventually, crime. The fear of the unknown got to the ones that the rift couldn’t get to, and a semblance of peace had seemingly been lost forever in the matter of a month. The smartest left as far away from the rift as they could, where the bigger settlements spoke of the life before, and how their lives remained virtually unchanged.
In these settlements, people told stories of what they thought caused this evil; and others spoke stories of great heroes who would stop the evil. But those were just stories; just an invented form of hope for a truth too hard to bear with. Or was it?
The Rules
1.Thou shall respect all RPN rules as the word of God. Breaking the word of God is considered blasphemy and will result in prosecution, banishment, in some cases, even death.
2.Creating intricate and interesting characters is an absolute must for this world. No Mary and Gary Sues. When creating your character you will be prompted not to respect the lore of the world, but that would be unwise, unkind, and borderline barbaric. Do not do that.
3.Thou shall have the ability to write at least 2 paragraphs per story post. An upper limit does not exist. Thou shall also post frequently, at least twice a week, more if opportunity arises. Not posting for an extended period of time even after a warning has been issued will result in death.
4.If thou does not know if you shall be able to write frequently, or are known to lose interest quickly and regularly, thou best not apply. If thou thinks you will be able to contribute enough, but lose interest somewhere along the lines, it is of uppermost importance to contact one of the two creators and tell them so that your character's disappearance can be written into the story.
5.Thou shall not bitch fight other story weavers, as that is an offense punishable by death. Your characters, however, are free to bitch fight however and whenever they wish to do so. If problems arise with another story weaver, and you are unable to handle it on your own, contact one of the two creators so they can sort it out.
6.A large part of the story, inspiration, out of character chatter, and so on is handled through spells of communication, more commonly known as Discord. Thou shall have Discord to communicate with the other story weavers.

Chapter 1 of 'The Rift' will be taking place in a peaceful land called Koda. More precisely, in a small town called Aloway, which rests on the Aloway River, and is now home to over 7 thousand refugees, all hoping to make Aloway their new home for the time being.
