Hello, all. I was somewhat active in the forum RP scene long ago, and lately I've been struck by a craving. However, after floundering around the site a bit, and realizing I could sift through hundreds or thousands of RPs looking for what I want, I thought I'd stop and see if anyone can point me in the right direction.
I'm looking for -
*a group RP
* fantastic/supernatural elements (magic, psionics, superpowers, I'm not all that picky on the exact nature)
*some sort of codified system regarding abilities and, preferably, advancement (mainly to avoid "I have control over all air everywhere even in your body and I can sense you miles away and dodge everything because the air in your body told me what you were going to do" shenanigans)
* I'm flexible on this, but if I have a choice, contemporary, western- or pseudo-industrial revolution-inspired settings tend to be my favorites
* Finally, somewhere that's going to be patient with someone who's probably going to take a little to get their RPing feet back under them.
Assuming any of you are still on board after this admittedly rather demanding first post, any advice would be greatly appreciated!
