The Grand Order of Light and Dark
Legend tells of a group of powerful warriors, feared by all who started and ended many countless wars. This group was known as the Grand Order of Light and Dark, a name known by all at the time.
However, the group and all it's members completely vanished one day after a great war that left tens of thousands dead. All that was left of the Order were relics and pieces of equipment left behind during the mysterious disappearance of the most powerful organisation at the time. Whether they were utterly wiped out somehow, went into hiding, or ceased to exist in this world, no one knows.
Over the centuries that passed, the stories of the Order were often told to children either as bedtime stories or used to threaten them from doing anything bad, and their relics were passed down from generation to generation, usually among royalty. Thus, they become renowned as both heroes of legend and as cold-blooded, demonic, and merciless knights that would leave you burning in hell if you ever encountered one.
But... One day, almost as suddenly as the day they vanished, they reappeared in this world, back to terrorise the battlefields and raise the death count to the hundreds of thousands. But what exactly happened that caused them to disappear? Why were they gone for so long. And... What exactly are the members of the Grand Order of Light and Dark?
