"Do I? Well, I'm delighted to hear that, Sir Azal." Udgirr said in regards to Azals comment. They're quite friendly and affectionate, and honestly it felt strange to have the beastkin pat around his shoulders and lead him around, but this is probably another one of his cultural behaviors so Udgirr decided not to complain. Another seems to be Kote, and Udgirr only nodded his way to know the hobgoblin acknowledges him as a member of the group.

Their plan seems to search for Weglas in two different locations, so as to easily find him as soon as possible, then regroup back at the Ragged Dragon. Azal and Kote were to go together at the Pigskin bar, whilst he and Farr would travel to Pink Veil. Udgirr trudges along with Farr, and throughout most of the discussion, has let his companions perform the necessary discussions. It was definitely a miracle to have someone such as Farr give them an excellent start at their adventure, if this is what it was supposed to be. Farr then calls out to him, asking about their capabilities as a hobgoblin.

"Hmm, a profound guess, Sir Farr. Indeed, I can manipulate the essence of Mother Nature's breath of life, to weave it in and out between the spaces of the Aerth to help guide us. Mind you, it is not a terribly malevolent magic as some shaman are considered to be capable of; I'm quite certain that this gift is of a blessing to us." Udgirr said, not realizing Farr may or may not know what "breath of life" would indicate.

"I'm not quite skilled with a weapon despite having owned a small spear in my sack, but my abstruse abilities should be enough. I'm confident they should be of utmost assistance when it comes to our travel to Chlokoka." Udgirr says, who seemed quite keen on the conversation and took little effort for him to almost bump into another passerby.

The female nodded with a smile “yes sir, I’ll only be a moment.” Before leaving quietly. Kaji took the silence of the room into his own hands.
“Good master Eedit has some very important people looking to him for success. It would seem you have the... ability to bring about said success?”
The wood elf seemed curious.

Azal was at a alchemist’s shop. The pigskin is on this street though, it has a sign out the front.
A group of kids seemed to be spying on Azal from a bit of a distance.
“He got wings don’t he?” Could probably be heard if one was paying attention.

Farr walked in silence as Udgirr spoke, mother nature’s breath?
That would be wind I guess...
malevolent magic? Does he mean nightspawn?
Wait. Wind... can Udgirr fly?

Farr couldn’t help but remember the tales of a young Shen Anigans.
Supposedly using the very breeze itself as wings to lift his robes...

“it might be worth having the spear at your back instead of in your sack” Farr said as he noticed the passerby who bumped into Udgirr give a look before darting into a ally.

Walking closer toward Dunwel’s wall to where the pink veil was located, even a tourist would realise this area between the markets and the main wall was a criminal’s best chance for a ambush.

Farr could see a shape sneak past on the rooftops, hear the sound of ceramic shingles being walked across.
The people, the streets even the buildings look a bit more degraded in the shanty district.

“there should be no problems... just ask for Weglas, say you want work, and don’t drink or smoke anything he gives you.”

Kote nodded in understanding at those words.
"Roger!" he said giving a playful salute. "We'll be back with the man we need even if we have to drag him back kicking and screaming!" he declared. Before he could turn around and tell his new companion that they were going to get going, Kote was already being dragged by the shoulder down the road. But instead, of struggling in confusion demanding he be let go and complaining at the indignity of it all, Kote just let himself be dragged. He had been walking all day. This, despite being somewhat peculiar, was actually rather relaxing. The bird was strong. So Kote was able to give him his entire weight without any fuss. He felt like a sack of potatoes. It was kind of fun.

Kote was even rather pleased with Azal's whistling. It wasn't much of a tune and he wasn't as well on key as Kote thought he would've been (turns out the saying "to sing as sweet as a bird" was horseshite) but it was enjoyable all the same. Kote had started humming a counter melody to his and as the bird dragged the young bard along, they enjoyed the company of each others music.

"My friend! Perhaps you'll treat us all to another round of that fine music, once we reunite with the others at the bar?

Kote gave a large bright smile at that. He loved being ask to play. "I'd love to!" he said "A fine song the night before a great big adventure with some new companions, ale and a lovely evening is the best way to start these things wouldn't you agree?" he said merrily. Oh yes, they were going to be the best of friends.

When Azal had eventually let him go, making Kote fall to the ground in a heap, Kote stood up and saw the establishment that they were assigned to search.
"Yup," Kote began "This looks like our place." Kotes, fine ears then heard something in an alleyway behind some crates.

“He got wings don’t he?”

Kote, smiled. Little street rats. He was always fond of them and he never grew tired of children's curiosity. His smile turned into a cunning smirk. He just had a little bit of an idea. Kote turned to Azal.
"I'm going to need you to look as menacing as possible," he told the bird-man. "Your size is already there but your face is too...cheerful. I need you to frown. No, no not like that but like this. No, more grr, you need to look scarier. Oh! Almost. More grr" Kote said trying to get the happy bird to look scary. He needed the Beastkin to look scary for the little show he had planned for the kids.
"Yeah! There we go!" Kote said pleased once Azal had put on a mighty scary face. "Alright, we're going to bust in there. All you need to do is stay silent and look exactly like that. Leave the rest to me."

Taking a breath himself, Kote started to get into character. Then he approached the door, lifted his feet and mumbled a small incantation. "Praemium"

Then, with a mighty kick, the door of the establishment exploded off its hinges. The bit of Fire magic he had just cast under his foot to make a small explosion upon impact certainly helped and he knew for a fact that those kids would be trying to get closer to the action. Curtains were up, time for the show.

Deepening his voice and putting on his fiercest glare, he looked out at the rather bewildered patrons.

"The names Kote and I'm lookin' fer a Weglas," he said in a country drawl and spitting off to the side. "Someone better bring him ter me in thirty seconds fore I set this place ablaze and my friend over here starts tearing yer limb from limb," Kote threatened, summoning a fireball in his hands and indicating to Azals terrifying talons. Bewilderment turned into fear from the local patrons. He mentally smirked. Someone would talk in a moment and the kids outside would talk about the great Arcanist Kote and how he was a vile villain that threatened a peaceful pub with magic and monsters to all the other common fellows. Ah yes, his favourite rumours about himself were the ones that he told or made himself.

He was a performer after all.

Barrius looked down at himself. He held his wings up to inspect and looked at his legs. Thinkng before answering.

"I, er, I can fly. That seemed to be the primary criteria from what I've seen. Other than that I guess I can steal and I can stab." Barrius took out his knife and spun it around. "So what's your story? If you want to tell it."

As the door was flung with explosive force from its hinges it instantly struck a waitress who was about to escort a old man to his table. Screams sounded out as all who were enjoying a meal or drink flinched from the noise and the coming drama.

The regulars and staff in the immediate area collectively started to worry as some red haired young man held fire in his hands and slurred threats.

The street rat kids outside indeed talked of the fool who just raided the pub.
He hadn’t noticed a patrolling guard squad not even ten meters down the road who now rushed toward the doorframe containing a rogue mage.

The first guard grabbed kotes hand with a strong grip from behind while placing a sword point into kotes back. Directing him onto the street in one swift movement. The second guard shoved Azal out of the way before raising his bow with a arrow ready.
Guard three and four stood with arrows aimed at kotes face.

The guard holding Kote at sword point spoke.
“By the order of the Dunwel guard, release your magic and stand down.”
The voice behind the steel helmet sounded dead serious, fed up even, as if the slightest bit of resistance would be enough reason to plunge a blade beside this kids spine.

The woman who was battered by exploded door was bleeding from a head wound, the bartender was trying to do anything he could to help the poor victim as people worry in fright about the fire mage outside.

Second floor of pigskin.

Kaji was worried about the noise From downstairs, and then the bat who took out a knife.
“Well uh. I work here at pigskin... not much to tell” a bead of sweat rolled down the elf’s face. It was obvious by his attire he had no weapon concealed anywhere. Being ordered to entertain the beastkin by any means necessary had kaji scared.

Barrius Bangla
Pigskin, Dunwell
Barrius could see that he had unnerve the elf. Maybe taking out his kinfe hadn't been the best idea. He quickly stowed it away and held his hands up to show he was no longer armed.

"Sorry, sorry." He said in an apologetic tone. "I didn't mean to alarm you. Twirling my knife like that is just an idle habit. Like some people roll dice or shuffle cards. I'm really sorry if I made you nervous."

Barrius rung his hands. Maybe it was a good idea to just start reading the book he was holding. He'd already screwed this conversation up. He picked the book back up, opened it, and sat down.

"I'm going to need you to look as menacing as possible,"

Azal scratched at his head cluelessly, cocking his head to one side, blinking repeatedly. Menacing, huh? Well, it was difficult to be traditionally menacing without things like a mouth and eyebrows, but he'd do his best! He thought while puffing up his feathers and widening his eyes to their limit. However, that seemed to provide a more derpy expression than that of an enraged beast. He shook his feathers back down and lowered his head, while squinting slightly and letting out a loud squawk. That seemed to do the trick! "Very well! Let us put on a most terrifying show! The likes of wh- ah, yes, silence!" His voice drew down to a whisper, while following Kote to the establishment.

"Someone better bring him ter me in thirty seconds fore I set this place ablaze and my friend over here starts tearing yer limb from limb," Kote threatened, summoning a fireball in his hands and indicating to Azals terrifying talons.

Unblinking, the beastkin burst into the tavern alongside the bard, feathers puffed up and talons drawn. As Kote drew attention to Azal, he widened his eyes and let out a piercing screech. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" or something along those lines, with his sharp beak opened wide, the sound battering the ears of anyone within the building. This wasn't exactly the kindof encounter Azal had in mind, but no matter, he was quite talented at going along with the flow and making the best out of situations. He almost felt the urge to laugh, seeing how terrified the patrons were of him. How unusual it was, why, he'd never truly been in a situation where someone was frightened of him. Intimidated or disturbed, sure, but nothing like this. The absurdity of it all was just too entertaining.

The second guard shoved Azal out of the way before raising his bow with a arrow ready.

Azal was thrown off balance, now crouched down on his knees, staring up at the guard who struck him. Shaking his head back and forth to regain concentration and further fluff up his feathers, he widened his eyes, glaring intently at the arrow which was dangerously close to his face. He blinked twice, before he extended his knees and his neck in a swift movement, snatching the nocked arrow in his beak and snapping it effortlessly. Standing at full height once again, the bird pulled the bow from the guard's hands and ripped out the bowstring, glaring at the man all the while. "You could really hurt someone with this, you know.." He muttered casually.

“By the order of the Dunwel guard, release your magic and stand down.”

Twisting his head around to see the other three guards on the street, Azal blinked three times before he finally realized the sort of trouble they were in. "Why, unhand my companion, at once!" He shouted with bravado, slipping his finger into the metal loop of his sword and spinning it around several times, sparks of electricity running up and down the blade as it gained a magical charge, before pointing it between Kote's back and the guard's sword. "If.. if King Leo had any idea you lot were.. were.. brutalising his.. court magician! Then he'd certainly have all your heads! Isn't that right, Sir Magician?" Azal managed to say, his eyes darting from guard to guard.

"I'll have to admit, it's not my best weapon but I believe I can keep it clutched behind me. I'm confident enough that the gales can protect me, however, so do not fret." Udgirr replied to Farr. He returns much more on his attention on the road now, to make sure he does not collide with any more passerby along the streets such as them.

However, it felt quite ominous here in the musty, darker side of Dunwell. It's not unnatural, but it wasn't the best of locations to travel to either, that much Udgirr can percieve. Many appear to be sick-stricken and starving, some wear dubious cloaks that hide their faces, and some even dash across the road here and there, cutting corners needlessly fast. The walls and buildings are either covered in graffiti or untouched and lined with hideous vines and moss. Hopefully the location that is Pink Veil would be quite nearer now, so that the hobgoblin need not set his eyes on the area any longer.

"Sir Farr, how much further in on Dunwell do we need to find the Pink Veil?" Udgirr asks, out of curiousity and a need to keep him preoccupied from the unsettling environment. It felt wrong to be here, almost, but Udgirr trusts Farr that whatever and whoever was here would assist them on their destination, however that could happen. As Udgirr says so, he begins to fiddle with his sack to remove the collapsed spear within it, removing it so and elongating it easily enough by bending both ends, such that it can be hoisted with one of his shirt's straps on his behind for a much rapid flourish.

Farr was almost worried He looked like a mark... perhaps Udgirr seemed like the type to be holding treasure?
We being tailed... who would tail me?
They aren’t the most sneaky... must be a few of them, or the one on the roofs has a bow...

Farr grasps a knife from his side as casually as scratching a itch, letting the blade sit in his palm hidden in his sleeve.
Upon hearing of a spear Farr smirked a tiny bit. Was it racist to Assume he would use a spear? Is it bad to point that out?
Don’t bother, not important. Being followed.

“ah pink veil is three more streets that way” Farr answered with his free hand pointing out a specific rooftop.
“It’s that building there, we just need to ask Larry at the door if...”

“Stop friends!”
A rough voice cut off Farr as he stepped out of the ally and onto the road in front of the human and hobgoblin.
“Me Tomas, and jak on the roof up there with a bow, we want everything you two have”
Tomas, the young man joining the mysterious leader made stupid noise as well.
“We know you got gold, why else go to the brothel dahah”

Farr looked to the rooftops and saw a arrow that could barely be held still by its shaking owner. Jak seemed obviously nervous.

“Should we try and talk this out?
I could hit the man on the roof if you get he two in front...” Farr whispers to Udgirr.

The two young men in front were scrappy sorts, Tomas was as tall as Udgirr,
The leader swatted a club in his hands. He must not have noticed the sword at farrs hip, the spear Udgirr held.

Two intimidating fellows appear to block their way, and seems to be that another would attempt to stop them as well, an arrow precariously aimed at their heads at the slightest step. It wasn't a friendly greeting, that was of certainty. A dangerous predicament has sprung up, and hopefully the duo of Farr and Udgirr can hold up against this. Farr has hastily murmured a scheme for Udgirr to know how to coordinate accordingly. Farr mentions that they would pursue the bow wielder on top of the roof, but through what means, Udgirr was not sure. However, if the thugs don't have any tricks up their sleeve, something can be done to incapacitate both to ensure their well-being. Udgirr does not nod once Farr has finished speaking. He only acted immediately as soon as Farr returns to their target, as Udgirr focuses on his.

It was no time to talk, as far as Udgirr believed. Any more idling, and the two might be caught off guard. As demonstrated, talking their way out of the circumstance was not viable.

Holding both hands in front of him, he cups them together, similar to how one would anticipate a small ball would be passed to them. The thugs raise their guard, probably knowing what intricate poses would do in this world. They even took some steps forward quickly to try and halt Udgirr, but it was in vain. Udgirr pushes his hands forward, and suddenly verdant, blade-shaped gales fly true and thrusts Udgirr's two foes, making them drop deftly on the ground. This was the best Udgirr could do, and immediately pulls out his retracted spear by the handle, and with a flick, produces a long, wooden contraption of a spear with a lustrous metal being its blade. The hobgoblin charges forward, slashing at the closest thug who was referred to as the leader. Their club was too cumbersome to block, and the man heartily gains a slash upon their chest. A flesh wound, nothing serious but definitely it could bleed.

However, the second thug, Tomas, struck the hobgoblin on his side somewhat forcefully as the green man attempts to regain his footing after their hit of the leader, holding on to their club with one hand. It hit its mark and sent Udgirr rolling through the ground and slamming at a wall. The leader scrabbles across the ground, one arm on his wound and the other limbs to direct himself to a wall to sit at, cursing all the way. Tomas was farther away, but is now running towards the dazed Udgirr, the impact from a club quite confounding the inexperienced and bruised fighter. Udgirr holds his weapon close in an awkward, unprepared sitting position, and prepares for Tomas to come near.

Farr was about to start talking shit, but Udgirr started the fight brilliantly. A arrow swished past farrs shoulder as he darted to the side, the kid on the rooftops let a frustrated “shit!” Out as he tried to ready another arrow.

Farr had a knife ready, swiftly spitting his poison onto the blade and swiping the saliva across to the tip he flings the knife at the kid with a bow, “gah!”
Doesn’t matter where that hit him... he’s down.

Looking back to the scuffle seeing Udgirr take a blow from the larger of the two thugs, Farr ran to intercept as Tomas ran for a finishing blow.
Farr tackled the thug to the ground and drew a dagger from his hip to put at his throat.

The bleeding leader still cursing and growing pale, reached with both hands for anything, finding the club that was previously in his possession.
The leader tossed the club, hitting Farr across the head.

Both Tomas and Farr stood, Tomas holding a club.
“Just give us your stuff!” Tomas shouted swinging his weapon in front of him.
The leader made a effort to stand as he propped himself on the wall, Farr readied his dagger with a smile, “you best have coin on you...”

Tomas ran at Farr who stepped to the side avoiding the club. Stabbing Tomas twice in the side before flipping him to the ground.

The mystery leader was staggering backwards.
“I’ll get you for this... no one crosses Volc Honondo!” He stumbles away rather fast toward a alley.

Farr rubbed the side of his head and let out a long groan “fuckaaaaaaargh.... that volc fool got me with that club real good.”
Checking the dying Tomas for loot...
Farr found six silver coins and a lump of “herbs”
Of course.
Looking to Udgirr and offering a hand to the breezy green fellow Farr couldn’t help but exclaim in amazement. “That wind you used was incredible!”

Farr was quite a genius in these small confrontations, wasn't he? They deliver an accurate display of skill with a knife, and was able to fight who managed to squarely attack Udgirr on the right side of his ribs. Indeed, Farr was unschated, and has proceeded to collect the inventory of those that have... died. Hm. It was difficult to believe a living person, who breathed the life of Aerth, was soon deceased within a matter of swift choices and no longer than a minute. It won't leave a shine on Udgirr's conscience, since even he personally attacked to simply wound them and hope they flee. Unfortunately, what's done is done, and he did not want to speak ill in front of a surviving friend, especially since it is apparent that it is of their victory that they have achieved. Udgirr would have to accept this to be fine.

"I appreciate the praise, and compliments to you as well --urgh--, sir Farr. I never witnessed such grace in the use of your sharp tools. I'm glad that we are of companionship; not against each other as adversaries." Udgirr returned as he hoists himself up with the outstretched hand offered by Farr, grunting slightly against the ache produced by his hit from earlier. However, it should be no more than as if once trips and scratches their knee. It would get better. As for the meantime, Udgirr believes it is better that they continue their route towards Pink Veil.

"It's best we continue. I do not appreciate the gazes of those around us." Udgirr quietly says. It was a quick revelation as brought upon by the winds, something would can only realize much later. It seems some have taken witness upon their battle, but none dare to report anything to a guard. Was such a display already a common sight in this district, then? How depressing. As for Udgirr, he would rather not contemplate about taking other people's lives for npw, if it means it would take them to Chlokoka, albeit reluctantly. The hobgoblin still feels that an act of irreversibility such as death shouldn't be performed as frequently next time when he can help it.

Barrius thought for a moment. He shrugged. "I guess it is a bit worrying. But what am I going to do about it? I don't know what it is and if it's fighting I'll probably be useless. I kill people via stabbing them while they're not looking, not in face to face battle."

Barrius had been told to stay there and that's what he was gonna do. Unless whatever that was came up stairs. In which case he would hide. That's what any sensible person would do. Unfourtanetly, curiosity got the better of him. He decided to sneak down the stairs. He beckoned to the elf.

"Care to come with?"

A waste of time indeed. It seems that they have procured the short end of the stick, if that was how the saying goes and should be used. They've met with a man Farr calls Tobias, an individual who was a comparatively towering human. This happens in the doorway of a much more pleasant structure, a rare sight among the sea of dusky ones Udgirr has been witnessing ever since they came upon this district. Tobias seems to deny that Weglas was here, stating that they were instead at Pig Skin. Farr was correct, it seems that the only ever two places this elf would be in was either here or there; all possibilities covered for. At least they confirmed as such.

"Do not worry, Sir Farr. Did you not say that the other location our two friends went to is the same Pig Skin? They might have met with Weglas there. We should return soon and meet them. At least we have made sure, so that we won't have to split up our time needlessly." Udgirr points out. He believes Farr only needed Weglas here, and since the elf was not, there was no need for them to stay here any longer, if it means they would make their companions wait for them.

"Thank you, Sir Tobias. We shall head back and find him now." Udgirr says and nods towards the person who helped them.

'Shit.'
Was the only thought that ran through Kote's head when he realised how badly he messed up. After getting a proper look at the patrons faces and the destruction he caused, he mentally berated himself.
'Should've just gone with a good ol' regular kick,' he thought to himself. 'The added explosion might have been a bit much' he conceded. The bar was a shambled. He had caused more destruction and injured more people than he had originally planned. But then again, seeing as his original plan was light destruction and no injuries to people, what he had currently achieved was well off the rails.

Kote didn't struggle as he found himself with a sword at his back, his arm twisted in a lock and being guided out into the street with other guards pointing arrows at his head. He was certainly surprised that they had been caught so early in their performance, but at the same time, he knew they'd be caught sooner or later. Calling the name of Fire to his mind, he was able to detect the many different heat signatures around him and Azal. Four guards in total it seemed. All of them with their attention on him. A smaller audience than the pub but a far more eager one at least. They would inevtiably draw a crowd.

The guard holding Kote at sword point spoke.
“By the order of the Dunwel guard, release your magic and stand down.”
The voice behind the steel helmet sounded dead serious, fed up even, as if the slightest bit of resistance would be enough reason to plunge a blade beside this kids spine.

"Good evening to you too officer," Kote said pleasantly "lovely night we're having aren't we?" releasing his magic easily. Kote had planned on talking to them, charming them into helping him and Azal out with their hunt for Weglas. But, as it so happened. Azal was quick to act first. Snapping arrows and readying his weapon for a fight. Kote wanted to sigh. Well, there goes that idea. Azal had quite a lot of potential with being a very strong asset in future performances, Kote would just need to teach him his personal show cues before hand though. Oh well.

It wasn't the lie he would've gone with but it was a lie that worked nonetheless. It wasn't even that much of a lie. He wasn't the Court Sorcerer for King Leo but he had been for other members of high nobility throughout the lands for a time. Often impersonating, other times legit. It had been sometime though. But it was a lie he was able to play off all the same.

"Ah, my friend seems to be a little confused," Kote said, still captured. "I'm not King Leo's Court Magician," he told them honestly. He smirked. "I'm much more important."

He then took a deep breath, calmed his mind and mentally called the Name of Fire like an old friend. He let his whole body be engulfed by the ancient, secret word. A warmth washed over him. Starting from his chest and circulating throughout his body like water. It was familiar and soothing. A sensation he had felt an innumerable number of times.

Then with a great exhale, he incanted "Forbaerne Praesidio"

A great pillar of flame exploded from his person causing the guard holding him, flying backwards with his arms shielding his face and landing in a heap a distance away. The other guards held their bows steady. Once the pillar dissipated, revealing Kote again, his face in a cold authoritative frown, and the fire dancing in a circle around him, the other guards loosed their bows. The fire then reacted independently, tendrils of flame rose up, caught the arrows and disintegrated into ash at the flames heat.

Kote took a menacing step forward to the two archer guards, the ring of fire around him following him as if it were apart of the man itself. A small crowd of people had gathered both from the bar and from the street to see what was going on and watched with baited breath to see what would happen.

"Allow me to re-introduce myself," he started. As much as he preferred being a renowned Bard, he knew that most of commoners knew him by his other moniker. "My name is Kote: The Wandering Flame Arcanist," he announced in a deep commanding bass tone. The earned him a couple of gasps from some of the spectators. People didn't tend to spread stories of a song-weaver that could make them cry. But rather fantastical stories of a simple man, doing unbelievable things.

Understanding stories and how they operate (being a story teller himself), a lot of the deeds he had accomplished as The Flame Arcanist, were severly blown out of proportion. But, the rumors and lies tended to serve him well when he needed them. He was by no means the greatest magician out. There were many more skilled than he. But Kote knew the Name of Fire and better yet, knew how to make simple spells look extravagant as all hell due to his natural stage presence.

"And I am here under the Kings orders. We're here to apprehend a man named Weglas for deceit, theft and three other direct offences against the King. We were told we were allowed to use any means necessary to find this man. You will bring him to us or," Kote's face darkened at the end. "I'll set this whole damn city ablaze." he threatened.

Now, he didn't really want to do that, but he was more than capable. He was sure of it. He had done greater things in the past than burn a whole city to the ground. But at the same time, he had never done it before. Wouldn't that be one hell of a way to start an adventure.

No one moved or said anything. Kote made his fire rise intimidatingly.

"And I suggest you act fast. I don't like to be kept waiting."

NeonFlow NeonFlow Rurnur Rurnur (sorry for the delay but here we go ~ )

Oh well.

He then took a deep breath

The guard holding Kote could feel a trick coming, especially annoyed as he stated to release the magic and stand down. This fool was not complying.

The veteran guard didn’t even bat a eye as he violently kicked out kotes knee from behind and rammed the hilt of his sword into the back of the Bards head. Blood dripping from the hilt from the force of the blow.
As Kote fell down unconscious with a bad concussion,

The guard behind Azal who had his bow broken and was now being ignored completely...
He Quickly kicked the twirling sword from Azal’s grip and attempting to bring the beastkin down in a chokehold from behind.
A rather large bird, it took the help of the two guards who hadn’t just clubbed some kid.

With three guards wrestling and holding Azal in place, one was eventually able to cuff his feathered hands behind his back. They held him to the floor by his face to avoid being pecked. “He’s fast with that beak” the unarmed guard muttered as they struggled. He would have to take it to the smithy to fix that wire in his bow...
The three men further tied the beastkin up by the feet and some extra rope with those handcuffs just to be sure...
Rurnur Rurnur

The guard who took down Kote started giving half hearted kicks to listen for a sign of breathing. The fool seemed to be.
“I said stand down.” Duncan muttered as he began to hogtie king Leo’s court magician. He almost burst out laughing when the beastkin announced that lie.
As if this young fool could ever hold the esteem of someone like Shen Anigans,
Bane wolfcry, Gone aria... “ahhh..”

A second squad patrolling approached to see what had happened...

Duncan is standing on some kid...
the door to pigskin is not in the frame... ha did king Leo finally pay some thugs to vandalise the elves property? No couldn’t be. He hates the elves but he wouldn’t be stupid enough to cause ruckus in his own city...
Is that a giant blue bird? Wait why’s he tied up?

“sir kipstid, What has happened here?” A man from the second squad asked curious at the scene. “Duncan please tell me this young man was a threat, and you didn’t stab him in some post trauma attack?”

The helmet that hid Duncan’s face was quiet.
Duncan leaned down to grab a tuft of kotes hair, cleaning the sword hilt as best he could before sheathing it. Duncan then removed his helmet so he could look the other guards in the eyes. “He didn’t stand down.”

“So what you stabbed him and are still standing on him like a prized kill?” Another asked perplexed.

Duncan’s weathered face and cold eyes cast down at the bard before meeting the others guards judging gaze.
“we saw him explode the door off this restaurant, he was obviously threatening the lives of all around with his fire magic, I told him to stand down.”

“Why didn’t you knock him out?”
“Everyone wants to be knocked out.” Duncan answered with a cold cynical tone

“You killed him?”
Duncan smirked and gave Kote a kick, “He’s breathing I’m sure. Take him and his bird friend to the castle. Apparently we just foiled king Leo’s newest addition to his court” Duncan was not known for joking. But all who heard him chuckled at the funny he made.

What the hell had happened here. Everything was in disarray. Someone was hurt. And two someones were being subdued by guards. And Weglas was just standing there to the side. This was quite the crazy day. He decided the best idea was to ask the only person in this room not in a state of panic. He went over to Weglas

"What happened down here?"

Weglas looked to Barrius and kaji. “Kaji I said keep him entertained upstairs”
“He had a knife sir!” Kaji whimpers.
“Your a elf, you have magic you fool” weglas deadpanned.
Kaji looked ashamed as weglas sighed and answered the Batman’s question...

“Apparently some fool decided the best way to grab my attention was to destroy property. I’ll have him work off the debt he caused... and the trauma to my dear staff. Follow me if you like, I wish to know the details of his incarceration.”

Duncan entered the building with no door to ask questions and calm the people down.

The seven guards outside carried a bound and unconscious Kote, as well as a pissed off subdued beastkin. The unarmed guard held Azal’s sword giving it a few swings. “Not the finest blade... it’s used with magic” he announced to those carrying the prisoners. “No one cares shut up cleps”

Tobias wasn’t phased at all by Udgirr’s sophisticated nature for a supposedly monster race, passing off the thanks with “s’all good, you be safe round ere”

As Farr and Udgirr walked past the street they were just attacked in, Tomas was stripped naked from... god knows who, for his clothes and his club.
Farr gave a worried glance about. My god the rats move quick...
those two bleeding stab wounds from Farr stained the dirt road. Don’t think about a rats life, he attacked me. I’m not guilty...
how many ways has Farr justified murder with a excuse and I’m not guilty.
would probably be uncountable.

“We should move quicker” Farr stated to Udgirr as he rubbed the side of his head. It was quiet between the two as they walked toward the ragged dragon. Though traffic seemed to be heading somewhat against them as they left the shanty district.
Farr and Udgirr heard the talk of confused and distressed people.

“Some red haired thug blew the door of the hinges...”
Her friend was not as loud.
“I SAW!... He had some bird monster ready to eat people...”

Farr stopped walking to look at the women talking.
“Said he wanted a weglas and he spat on the floor! It was lucky the guards...”

Farr sighed deeply. We leave them for half a hour or more...
Coughing before asking Udgirr,
“Did you heard that? Sounds like the bard and bird.”
A bit of concern evident on farrs face as he tried to imagine what exactly went down.

It must be false...
that smooth red head blowing up a restaurant? Does she mean... musically? Or blown a door off it’s hinges. Here’s us playing fuckaround.

I take out a knife once and suddenly everyone thinks I'm a murderer. Barrius thought to himself. Sure he stole occasionally. He had too. Getting a job was hard when you were constantly travelling. But he wasn't a murderer. He wasn't going to stab people randomly. Still, he liked the elf, Kaji as Weglas called him, and didn't really think he was to blame. Of course, there wasn't really gonna be a way to convince Weglas, considering Barrius' assessment of his personality. The best thing to do would probably be to keep moving forward. There was no way he was staying in this completely ruined bar. He gave Kaji a consolatory pat on the back and then followed Weglas.

Kaji flinched drastically before realising the physical contact meant no ill content. Relived he sighed a huge breath of relief and waved his boss and the bat gentleman off.

Weglas spoke to Barrius quietly and vaguely of his plans for him as they followed the guards.
“I’m hoping to Aquire two unique crystals you see, warp stones they are called.” Weglas didn’t wait for a answer or questions he just kept going.

“ you place one in chlokoka as I place one somewhere else, once magically charged people can warp to and from. My problem is getting to the top, I can charge the crystals with magic but it’s up to you to place the important stone somewhere sneaky... away from the skyrace,”
Weglas’s yellow tinted animal like eyes glanced over the beastkin wondering if he had magic ability at all.

"You came to the right Beastkin, then. Or, I guess, I came to you." Barrius said with a smile. Sneaking was practically his job. Now that he thought about it, hiring out his services might be a good idea after this. It would keep him busy and he would get money. But first he had to do this job. "You wouldn't happen to have a map of the Chlokoka, would you? It would be much easier if I could plan my route out ahead of time instead of having to improvise once I'm up there."

He didn't think he was asking for much. It would be benificial to both of them if he knew where he was going so that he didn't die. Oh.

Death was a very real possibility here, wasn't it. If he was caught by a predator or the Sky People he might be killed. That wasn't exactly a comforting thought. But even so, this old man was kind of scary and he had said he would pay him (he had said that, hadn't he?) so Barrius wasn't about to call it quits.

Weglas made a noise of annoyance before answering the question, “if I had a map that would imply I or someone else has scouted the island you need wings to reach. Why do you think I have the little rats running about looking for people such as you.”

The guards carrying Azal and Kote moved at a less then average pace.
“Dammit cleps go get a horse and cart we’re not carrying these two all the way to the castle.”

Weglas chuckled low.. “No one should spot you flying at night... and if you perform our little job adequately, you have a lucrative opportunity for moderate pay”

Oh well. Barrius thought. Guess I'll have to wing it. Barrius snickered a bit at his little pun before remembering that he was with somebody. He cleared his throat in an attempt to pretend like what had just happened hadn't happened.

"Right then." He said in the most dignified voice he could managed. "Just one more question. Is there anybody I'll be working with or will I be on my own here?"

Udgirr did not happen to pay attention with whatever the bystanders were gossiping about unlike Farr, and was instead quite absorbed by the disgusting scene of that one thug Farr killed on the alley road. It was far more worse than what the hobgoblin had imagined. There might even be worse scoundrels among this litter than he had thought. The man would really prefer if they returned to The Ragged Dragon, a plan settled on when the other group has managed to meet this Weglas person.

"... oh, sorry, of our other two friends? What about them--" Udgirr asked, but the tittle-tattle continues, easy to understand no less thanks to a rather loud woman. Udgirr still didn't even connect one and one together, until it might have been a bit late for a normal person to understand.

"... are they perhaps referring to Azal and the bard, Kote was it? We should probably hurry, then. This sounds outrageous and dangerous." Udgirr asks Farr, hoping the man leads the way since the hobgoblin himself was not particularly familiar with the city himself.
