Futuristic Steampunk Rebellion?

This will be based in the fictional nation of Datlof, set in the Sid Meier's Civ 5 games of the Yogscast, ruled by Supreme Emperor Lewis Brindley. Your goal is to rebel against Datlof, and bring about a revolution that will bring down the dictatorship, and bring about freedom and democracy.

This is set in a world basically driven by war. Nations have never gotten along, and as technology increases, so does the need of manpower. Therefore, Datlof, or nation, begins forcing people into labor, becomes totalitarian, and citizens have no other right then to fuel the war-machine that is the Datlofian government.


Working Class are forced to work at least eighteen hours a day, while the skilled civilians of Datlof are forced into it's military, divided into two branches, the Vanguard, those who protect Datlof's land, and the Spear, those who attack Datlof's enemies.


The Noble houses have been executed by Vanguard Agents, and other Nobles have taken their places, those completely sided with Datlof's new form and system of government.


However, there are still those who disagree, the Datlofian Resistance, who would fight to free Datlof, and restore it to the beautiful and artistic land it once was, and kill the mad king that is Supreme Emperor Lewis Brindley.


 

Military would look somewhat like this, while civilians wear 1940's-esc clothing. Higher classmen wear tuxedos, dresses, etc.

Another idea I have is that the Rebellion, or us rag-tag rebels, will have access to a power somewhat like the force. This power will appear as some kind of ethereal mist, and it'll have somewhat of a will of it's own, choosing who it prefers to use it.

SPMG (STEAM POWERED MANEUVERING GEAR)


This will be our ideal weapon in this RP, a steam-powered engine, boosted by steam tanks and exhaust, and put together with markite (yes, fictional and very bendable metal) wires and plates. It will be somewhat light, but not too light, like about 5 pounds. Guns will be connected to the gear by wiring, and will be one-shot shotgun-like pistols. Multiple shots will be available via strips of rounds around the user's leg. The gun will have to triggers, one to fire, another, bigger one, to shoot a line out. This will be the Resistance's main weapon, and were invented by the Resistance themselves.
