Suggestion Status Update Alerts

I remember that in another version, when you followed someone, you could be alerted whenever said someone posted a status update; it kind of gave a meaning to pressing that "follow" button. I suggest we bring that back, and of course, it'd be completely optional. Is this possible to add, at all?

As far as I know that was a feature of IPS. If it's possible in Xenforo, they've never done it.

Yeah, that was kinda the whole reason I followed people in the first place XD
