Ranix Aurus
Languishing in Progress
"Heave-ho!"
The woman pulled him up with enough force to flung him to the sky. From up here, they could see the mechs closing in from all directions. The commander up in the clouds must had noticed her as well, but she had torn off all communication devices in her borrowed battlesuit, so his cursing only hit a figurative wall.
"Alright, get in, and-"
She paused. The pilot chamber was too small to fit another human in. Not to mention, the pressure inside would had killed him in seconds, Remnant or no Remnant. There should be another way...
"Change of plan. You're strong, right? Hold on to this."
She pulled out a few cables and pushed them into his palm. A few more strands were looped around his waist before she tightened them up, keeping him tied to the cylindrical capsule.
"Don't let go if you still want to hitchhike. Let's go!"
She jumped back into the chamber, letting the door slid close behind her. Right after that, the eye of the Cyclops they were riding on shone brightly for a split second.
Initiating evacuation sequence. Three. Two. One...
Zero.
The bottom of the pilot capsule flared up like a rocket. And then, it was catapulted off, bolting into the sky like a reverse falling star way faster than what the human eyes or ocular sensor could take in.
