Roles!!!

Infantry Roles:

Rebel Militia Size: 8 men

These men make up the backbone of the Rebel Alliance, many are from the Outer Rim and come from Criminal or Agricultural backgrounds. While they are not the best equipped or trained, they make up for it in numbers and in marksmanship

Rebel Marines Size: 7 men

These men are similar to the Militia however these men have proven themselves in combat enough to gain access to the better gear of the Rebellion. They are usually used for Base security, Ship Security, and Search and Destroy missions

Rebel Commandos Size: 6 men

These are the best Alliance has to offer, mainly are ex-Imperials, Bounty Hunters, or highly decorated troopers. These men are reserved for the Rebellions most dangerous missions, but also participate in combat roles, mainly for commanding Infantry or directing artillery

Armored Roles:

T2-B Tank Size: 5 Tanks

The Rebellion's response to the formidable AT-ST, the T2-B was made as Light Reconnaissance Tank. Made to silently move in and out of an area it was great for quickly spotting enemy formations and pulling back. However its quick movement and built in deflector shields soon gave it additional use as an Infantry Support Tank, covering infantry assults with its 4 medium laser cannons. While not the toughest tank, it can sure be thorn in the Empire's backside

T4-B Size: 3 tanks

After the crushing defeat at Hoth, the Rebel Alliance realized that it needed an armored unit that could counter the powerful AT-AT. And so they created the T4-B tank, though it use of archaic treads for propulsion may seem unnecessary, it saves space for the twin heavy laser cannons mounted on the turret. In addition it has a concussion missile launcher that can be used to counter aircraft, infantry, light vehicles and even be used as artillery. This tank is a force to be reckoned with but its slow movement and relatively thin armor hold it back from greatness. It mainly depends on its shields for protection

Airborne Roles:

Z-95 Headhunter Size: 5 fighters

This outdated star fighter was once considered as the Galactic Republic's main star fighter before they switched the ARC-170 star fighter. Its only use now is as a training ship for novice pilots and as an escort fighter for low priority cargo. Its cheapness and simplicity in flight made it a hot buy for the Rebel Alliance who were short on credits. Though many assigned to these squadrons are surelyto die, there are still many pilots who have achieved great triumph in this old time fighter.

X-wing Size: 6 fighters

The X-wing was created as an improvement to the Z-95, so the company could pick up sales amidst a slow decline in the Z-95's popularity. However a Rebel operation on Anaxes gave them control of the x-wing prototypes which they reverse engineered and began to mass produced. It retained the simplicity and conservative price, while improving in firepower, armor, and shielding. Now the backbone of the Rebel Orbital Force, the X-Wing has become the symbol of the Alliance.

Y-wing Size: 3 bombers

This starfighter hold the record for the longest combat service in galactic history, being used since the Clone Wars. Its impressive Bomb load, armor, and speed made it the workforce of the Republic. However following the rise of the Empire, the Y-wing was retired for the cheaper and faster TIE Bomber. It then became popular with Pirates who wreaked havoc in the outer rim with its destructive power. The Rebellion utilized this and adopted it into their own fleets, while applying some of the X-wing improvements to the aging bomber. When it comes to blowing shit up, the Y-wing has few competitors.

A-wing Size: 5 fighters

Designed as a patrol and escort fighter, the A-wing fighter became the crown jewel of rebel space technology. With a skilled enough pilot, whole companies of TIE Fighters can be destroyed. It carries twin rapid fire laser cannons and holds concussion rocket pods. If it wasn't for its weak armor and expensive production cost, the A-wing would replace the X-wing.
