* The World of The Flaming Reach - is a realm filled with all manner of mortal beings ranging from your typical humans, to elves, dwarves, and orcs. Due to this universe's placement between plains of existence, otherworldly beings refer to this universe as the Material Plain, a place where magic is weaker and those that reside within it are constantly in danger of being tricked or destroyed by the evil forces that are play. Most who call the reach home foolishly bicker among themselves over power, money, fame and other greedy endeavors that tend to lead to the downfall of those foolish enough to let such things blind them. The name of the reach is due to the constant bickering and wars that each faction have with each other which has caused a great deal of pain and loss which only goes to prove that history is written by the victors.
*Story of The Flaming Reach So Far - Has an unclear past to put it bluntly. Beings that live within the reach all have a different tale as to how their world and universe were formed all of which point to some otherworldly being thinking or crafting the universe into existence. With all of the strange, bizarre, and powerful creatures that roam the Flaming Reach and beyond it, it is easy to see where this type of thinking comes from. The most widely accepted theory though is that a being known as Xuxu, a god beyond time and space gave birth to the universe in an attempt to hide himself within it after a long drawn out conflict with his opposition, the Abyss. It is believed that by creating the universe he sealed himself away from the evils that would attempt to consume him in his weakened state so that he could rest and grow stronger to one day combat the Abyss once he returned to his full strength. The absent god having never been seen by mortals and in most cases immortals leave many skeptical as to how accurate the recollection of events are. However those who are devote followers to Xuxu display gifts and powers that are believed to be signs of Xuxu's returning strength, as he provides mortals with weapons and powers to protect themselves from The Abyss. There are those who even claim that Xuxu shares his guidance and wisdom with them personally, crafting great and powerful Heroes to take on and protect themselves and those they love from the Abyss until the missing god is once more at his fill power.
*Emerald Empire - After decades of conflict between other species of the Flaming Reach, fiendish evils that spawned from The Abyss, and themselves, humanity came together to create the Emerald Empire. The Empire formed under zealous leaders who were believed to have the strongest connection to the god known as Xuxu which allowed them to protect and lead their people into a glorious age of peace and unity. Although peace is still being fought for the humans stand united with their empire and have so far proven to be a shining beacon keeping the darkness at bay. There still are the other races though who challenge humanity declaring that their depiction of Xuxu to be vile and a spawn of the Abyss, mostly due to him being depicted as a human, which has resulted in wars which have left all sides involved battered and worse for wear. All in all though humanity proves to be resilient and stands strong under their green flag.
*Crimson Alloy - The Dwarves are one of the oldest races of the Flaming reach stretching back long enough back to have tales of war between the Abyss and Xuxu in the old days when the world hadn't even been fully created yet. The Dwarves are somewhat split up by clan, though all clans follow an elected leader who is refereed to as "King/Queen of the Crimson" and only loses power when their time has come to pass on and become one with Xuxu. The Dwarves believe that the elected king/queen is the chosen hand of Xuxu and therefore everything said by them is law and must be followed to the letter. The term Crimson Alloy comes from the fact that long ago it is believed dwarves fought as the first champions of Xuxu with alloy armor that was stained with blood becoming a sinister crimson uniting all clans as not separate individuals but one force. Most other races see the warves as simple small folk who have a strong military presence, but beyond that are mountain folk who keep to themselves staying within their walls and following the ways of Xuxu by remaining out of sight from the Abyss.
*Elves and Orcs - Unlike Dwarves and Humans, not much is known when it comes to Elves and Orcs. Both are civilizations that prefer to live in forests closed off from test of the world much like the Dwarves. Due to crossbreeding and the fact that both races have a system that has been built up allowing them to adapt to magic in some rather interesting ways, Elves and Orcs come in a large variety which makes it hard for them both to come together and unite. What's more problematic is the fact that with secluded forest being so scarce battles among the other race and each other are quite common providing only more confusion and chaos, especially due to the fact that creatures from the Abyss prefer to reside within 'their' lands. Strangely though both races no matter the subtype of Orc or Elf agrees on Xuxu being female with traits that are shapeless but humanoid.
*The Abyss - Is best described as hollow an empty. Existing on a separate plain from The Flaming Reach, no mortal has ever returned from this dark spot within the multiverse. The Abyss does not have a definite answer on what it is. Some claim that it is a living thing much like Xuxu, spawning horrific nightmares to torture everything that it can get it's hands on while whispering to those who serve it lies and half truths. Others simply believe The Abyss to be a twisted mirror that reflects the material plane spitting out vile creatures to tear apart anything that is in the way of creating true chaos. In short the only thing known about The Abyss is that it is a place of dark energy and magic that impacts all planes as a whole, twisting creatures into monstrosities that have no morale compass and only exist to challenge the order of things
