HELLO
Hello, I hope you’re all doing well! I’m Nyx or Nuite and I’m here to find some creative companies. I’m looking to meet more long-term partners, but I’m totally cool with anyone who’s willing to vibe with me - from slow posters to 2 fast 2 furious repliers, from 24/7 online campers to hot-and-cold nervous ghosters - you’re all welcome here. Thanks so much for stopping by. Hope to hear from you soon!
RP PROFILE
Timezone: EST (GMT-5), I’m online sporadically so this isn’t a huge factor for me. You’re in the right place, in the right time
Pronouns: She/Her(s), We all fall in part of the gender spectrum somewhere. I write with all and everybody
Age: College-age, Old enough to drive for all the curious ones. I don’t have an age limit. I RP with anyone who’s mature enough to handle the discussed topics in plots
Style: Multiple Paragraphs, I aim for at least 4-6 and usually match my partner’s length. I don’t really impose word counts so feel free to write as little or as much as you’d like
Years of Experience: 4-ish, Oof! Still relatively new compared to some veterans, but I know enough to get by
Activity Level: Super Duper Casual, I usually reply once or twice a week for posts and check PMs everyday for plotting and OOC. I extend the same courtesy of patience for all my partners
Contact: DMs or Ask for Discord, Either way works for me, but I will need time to check back as I’m usually doing something during the day
Posts: DMs, Threads, or GoogleDocs, I currently don’t do any Discord RPs due to character limits
Genres: Anything except “Mature” scenes, Fade to black or Time skip for any adult situations please. Romantic themes would be nice if applicable/due to natural progression, but not a necessity for sure. I also prefer original plots to fandoms. It just allows for more unrestricted creativity. Sorry to my fandom only friends!
Pairings: Open Gender-wise (Male, Female, LGBTQ+, Non-binary) and Relationship-wise (Platonic, Familial, Romantic, Antagonistic are all fair game)
Multiple Characters: Yep, I love creating side characters and can normally handle 2-3 OCs to start with. We can add more as we move along
Group RPs: Sure, if the posting requirement is relaxed and I’m drawn to the plot. It’s easier for me to manage 1 x 1 or small groups of 3-6 other players. If you’re thinking of starting one up, lemme know and I’ll take a look
Character Sheets: I could go with or without, I don’t mind filling out simple ones just for reference or skipping it altogether to get to know the characters throughout the RP
Face Claims: Flexible, I don’t mind - Photographs/realistic, anime, art, or written description. Just let me know your preference
Writing Sample: I’m not picky yo! I don’t really look for it as I’m more interested in active participation in plotting. But if you want to show me your works, I’d be more than happy to give them a read. I provided mine for those people who want to see if our styles would mesh
Looking For: Super chill writing buddies, Patient people, Creative contributors, Anyone who’s cool with OOC chats, memes, and random OC headcanons
If you’re interested, please Message me. It’s easier because I don’t always get thread reply notifications. Thank you so much for considering!

PLOTS
I have some ideas and paint very broad strokes here because I like customizing plot to suit my partner’s interest. Come at me with your own plots and ideas so we can expand on them together. It takes two to tango so let’s dance!
SETTING BASED
Rising Tides - Aftermaths of a plane crash on a seemingly deserted island. The only thing is the island is home to non-human and/or half-human creatures. These could be androids, science experiments gone wrong, aliens, animal shifters, ancient civilizations, Eldritch abominations, etc. But basically based on survival of the characters and solving the mystery behind the island natives. We could world build for these inhabitants and how they got stuck there.
Timed Out - It happened. Global warming amongst other natural catastrophes have caused the Earth to be uninhabitable. In a future where human consciousness is completely digitalized, society exists merely as avatars, projections of neural impulses in barely human species. These “sunk” bodies are suspended in a moving space station on its way to the next viable planet. Unfortunately for them, this spacecraft has been intercepted by a foreign species. Unsure of what they (the humans) are, these aliens decide to “wake” one of the “sunken”. What becomes the consequences of having a sunken body be wide awake? Will their body survive this sudden call to action? Will their minds be able to distinguish that their out of the virtual system? Let’s find out.
Quest for Gold - A team battle where one team is pitted against another to win the King’s favour in a race against time. There will be riddles and puzzles to solve along the way as the characters are trying to uncover the treasure guarded by treacherous old wizard. It’ll be fantasy based - high or low is completely open. But gimme dragons, knights, rogues, archers, druids, goblins, orcs, and mages here. This will involve multiple characters if we have more antagonistic relations because I’m hoping to have my team go up against yours. Or we can go the platonic route and have a team within ourselves to fight against the environment. Dealer’s choice.
Last Stand - Multiple dimensions are opening up simultaneously causing a collapsing of the worlds. Monsters from other dimensions are crossing over through the Earth boundaries only to wreak havoc and disrupt the lives of the many. In a well-fought but too underhanded battle, the humans have lost. The global population has almost been wiped off completely - only three of the seven continents remain, Asia, South America, and Antarctica. There are plenty of scattered camps of humans there scavenging for parts to build their machine, their last defence - towering robotic mechs powered by several pilots. You know what they say, it’s never too late to bring a laser canon to a megalithic fist fight. Think something along the lines of “Pacific Rim” but with more aliens and supernatural creatures.
Ascension - Nations built upon the Greek/Roman Gods are vying for power. I’m leaning more on the side of nation building here and having our characters (from different deities) interact in a colosseum sort of environment. Imagine a cross of “Percy Jackson” meets the “Hunger Games” where the fights are a form of entertainment for the upper echelon. Humans will have some sort of low elemental based magic based on their chosen deity, which will be ours to customize. But a revolution/uprising is brewing amongst the fighters who want their freedom back and these “royals” aren’t looking to loosen their chains anytime soon.
ROLE SPECIFIC
Premonitions - Waking up in cold sweat, Muse A has nightmares haunting them whenever they close their eyes. They see the last few seconds of an individual’s life before it’s taken from them. Unbeknownst to them, someone’s been keeping a tab on them. A group of rogue assassin’s have been looking for their next leader - someone to order their next hit. Muse B, an upper member of this organization, acquired a tip of Muse A’s abilities. Could they be the one? Muse B takes a trip to visit Muse A to find out.
Terminal - Premised based off the Tom Hanks movie. Muse A is traveling when they are informed by an airport official, Muse B, that their passport isn't valid, and the country they claim to be from doesn't exist. How will Muse A survive? They make friends at the airport, of course. Then, they can surely figure out what the heck happened to their country. Or if the airport officials are hiding something from them. This is more a light-hearted slice of life/modern story (in my head originally) with hints of mystery and character-centric narratives rather than anything too political or historical. It doesn’t have to be modern day - we can set it in a dystopia, alternate history/universe, space station, at a kingdom far, far away. The world’s your oyster, baby.
Unmatched - Last but not the least, here comes the dreaded romantic-ish plot. Room 214 is the designated briefing area where people are matched with their supposed “soul mate”. Based on personality data sets and complicated algorithms, people are balanced out with partners that are supposed to optimize their life goal and help them to fulfill their purpose. In a scheduling error, two people who aren’t supposed to be matched to each other are bonded in the room. Muse A, a nervous little worrier, comes face to face with Muse B, a more free-spirited, rebellious type. Throughout getting to know each other, the two actually develop a pretty good kinship and a blossoming friendship. That is until the system error was discovered and they’ve been brought in to be unmatched. Not quite ready to let each go, Muse B hatches a plan to escape with Muse A. Unfortunately for the two, Muse A has a tracking chip that’s been implanted on them since birth. Muse A’s family ties to the whole “matching” system runs deeper than they realize. Will Muse B want to leave them behind for their own freedom or will they fight to keep Muse A around?
SAMPLE
CONTEXT: This is a set-up for an on-going RP series that I have with a friend of mine. We’ve based this off an Assassin’s Creed-esque world. This isn’t the normal length that I write with unless my muse is strong or my partner prefers a longer read. The tone is a lot more formal too because of the setting we decided. I just wanted to put my best foot forward. I’m still learning to improve my writing skills as English isn’t my first language.
The dense, encumbering heat lent itself to the swirling vision that slowly descended upon her consciousness. The atmosphere felt so warm that she could swallow the air whole and produce a sweltering oven if the process of digestion were to reverse its natural bodily function. Of course, such conditions were to be expected in the torrid wilderness of the war-torn southern outpost.
In a sea of bodies summoned by the esteemed Arch Prognosticator, Valeria tucked herself anonymously in folds of swerving speculative chitter that left the lips of the jumbled hive. Familiar patterns of common query arose from the social juncture.
‘What did he want this time?’
‘It was too late into the afternoon to call for the gathering. Why couldn’t this have been postponed to the next day?’
Although, the most pressing and perhaps incontestable fact of the matter was Julien’s acrimonious, self-important disposition was on full display. The older man donned fine violet, silken clothes that almost dragged onto the floor due to his compact stature, and yet, his double chin sat on a incline with nose that turned upwards. She had yet to see the day when the royal emissary would spare the crowd of his priggish oration with regards to the importance of adhering to the new world order, a hierarchy that demanded unwavering fealty from those whom it subjugated apparently.
Underneath the white fabric that wrapped its way around her head, concealing her tanned visage and black wavy locks from the scattered sentinels that littered their way in the outskirts of the packed plaza, her eyes followed as the minister sauntered haughtily to the center of the rostrum clearly in no hurry to start the ceremonial flogging.
“It is with a heavy heart that I must denounce, yet again, one of the citizens of Abjaerzka,” the deliberate, breathy baritone reverberated, abruptly cutting the crowd in charged silence until nothing but the wind dared draw sound against the spoken word.
He continued, “How many times must you wound me with such outlandish acts of futile insolence, hmm?” Julien paused, as he’d always done, to allow the words to simmer, trouncing the already burdened minds of the masses, whilst waving his arms to his chest in feigned injury.
On cue, the rickety wheels of an egregiously large wooden pillar emerged from the side of the raised platform, recently constructed for the purposes of such public displays of intimidation. At its core was the sopping mass of bones and patches of crimson, raw flesh that was left over of the previous leader of the coup, after the royal guards had completed their comprehensive interrogation.
Once a strapping young miner, Gaspare Napolitano could barely maintain an upright posture as taut braided rope coiled itself in multiple knots in his upper and lower extremities. The tangled, greasy strands of brunette hair hung, suspended in the front of the lowered bob of Napolitano’s head, momentarily obscuring what perverse edict Julien contrived upon his arrest. If Valeria had been closer, she would have noted the ravening grin crawling apart of the Prognosticator’s thin lips, a brief foreshadowing of the next part of his agonizing exposition.
In lieu of her view, the severity of Napolitano’s punishment immediately rendered itself from the muffled wails of people who knew him best, next of kin and co-conspirators, from what Valeria could gather. Julien’s sentinels briskly herded the noisemakers, escorting them out of the incremental listlessness besetting the crowd. He knew exactly what he was doing.
“Gaspare Napolitano!” Julien’s vivacious exclamation appeared as if he was greeting the ragged man as an estranged companion returning home, if it were not for the sizeable power dynamic in-between them. “Oh how, I’ve missed your rousing letters lobbying for more oil lanterns in our expanding colliery.”
The minister withdrew from the tribune, walking at an angle towards the pillar without completely isolating himself from the forced spectators of his insidious play. He paused, fingers reaching past the curtain of Napolitano’s tousled hair, and jutting his captive’s chin upwards for the reveal. Plump, slightly rosy orbs separated by a central fissure of lashes replaced the facial plane where brunette’s eyes otherwise laid, his lower lip turned dark at one corner, bruise advancing to paint his lower chin bluish black, and yet, the most grisly detail of it all was Julien’s personal brand amongst his antagonists.
From the base of the upper lip to the bridge of the nose, a brown crusty edged, hollow depression compelled the Prognosticator to admire the guard’s handiwork. The ring of red, uneven outer ridges of the nasal appendage eliminated the conjecture of the nose smoothly imploding without cause or at the very least required proposal of a mangled heave of a feral canine to justify such mutilations. “Tsk! Tsk!” He clicked his tongue in mocking disapproval, yanking the other man’s jaw in torsion, demonstrating the dire consequences of outright revolt. “Great governance does not bend its will to its subordinates.”
Slap!
“It seems the daftness of your savage ancestors pervaded in your kind. Modern civility could not offer a cure for the tainted ilk that flows in your veins.”
Julien clapped his hands. At once, a royal guard appeared wielding a rather smooth ornately carved club, undoubtedly a premeditated instalment to the Arch Prognosticator’s show. The armoured knight stood adjacent to the pillar in a stance that prompted the crowd to withdraw. The emissary nodded to his squire.
Wood clashed with bone in a cackling split.
Gaspare thrashed violently against the wooden column. His mouth agape, strained to express the shooting pain on his shins, unable to produce sounds from his throat since birth. Malformed vocal chords were the reason the man penned his thoughts to paper, an advocate for the adage of the pen is mightier than the sword. Surely, the older man had subsequent knowledge of this condition upon Napolitano’s capture, although the serpentine nature of his persons obfuscated what little morality he held in conscience, if any were present at all.
Julien’s capitalization of the miner’s handicapped disadvantage blanketed Valeria’s tongue in a coat of bile, an atypical, steely psyche thrown into the edge of human empathy, with pleas that even she could not ignore. The royal emissary had no competition for the title of whom drained her finite reserve of discipline much faster. If the assassin had her way, the minister’s head would have already rolled, both body and its rotund origin left to rot, unworthy of the tranquil bedrock permitted to souls bereft of its fleshy host.
“Have you bitten your tongue as well, brown-noser?” He spit in the younger man’s face.
Enough was enough.
Valeria’s reached her threshold. Her fist clenched, nails dug deeply into her palms, fingers unfurling with a deliberately prolonged exhale to slow her pulse. She assumed that ample time had elapsed since the beginning of the summons for Michael to find his footing on the roofs. They spent weeks concocting and gathering information with regards to the Arch Prognosticator, even to the preceding night, they’ve delineated the path to their escape from the royal guards.
The covered woman pursed her lips together to produce an audible bird call. It was the sign for her partner to take his shot. Abdication of control had never been her strong suit; however, the sheer amount of security detail made the task was too complex logistically without the greater risk of getting caught. She would hold fast and pull her weight on the ground, her hand circled the hilt of the blade fastened to her side, until Michael finished his part.
This is it.
Julien was living on borrowed time, he simply didn’t know it yet.
