Aella Crouch is just as power hungry and determined as her brother, just takes a different route to gain status. Aella is a true Slytherin at heart, she slithers into friendships and relationships looking for someone to sink her fangs into to make herself important. At Hogwarts, she became the girl who boys wanted but couldn't touch, girls were jealous of how easily she seemed to fit in. She had her cards right and befriend those who she knew would be good allies outside of school. She's a schemer, just because she has one pureblood in love with her doesn't means she's not searching for one with more money and influence. During her Seventh year, she started seeing Edward Rosier after he volunteered to tutor her after they met a summer brunch. The first time she met Tom Riddle, it was at her engagement party in 1953, a year after she graduated. At this Party, Tom senses the same drive in her as himself. Slowly he starts to seek her out and indoctrinate her with his beliefs. She is eager to feel useful and powerful as his right hand woman. As she helps him build his influence, circle of connections, and power, an illicit affair begins. Sure, her husband is nice and doesn't hate her, but they didn't marry each other out of love. Aella can't help but be drawn to the all powerful Riddle.
