"Growf!"
Inspired just a little by the very, very old TV show, Ghost and Mrs. Muir. (edit: and just found out it was also a movie in 1947.)
The short description: A young woman struggling with hardship suddenly finds herself the beneficiary of a Will. She becomes the proprietor of the Greystone Estate. Unbeknownst to her the manor is in sore need of repair and renovation. It is also haunted by a spirit.

Your Character
The exact tone of the RP will depend on your character. Shy and weak willed is boring. She will need to be interesting to the spirit. It is the only reason she would inherit the estate. She wasn’t part of the family that owned the place. (The "ghost" intervenes.)
Perhaps a woman left with 2.3 kids a dog and a cat after a cheating husband divorces her. Or maybe she’s been through a long series of misfortunes. You will need a good CS complete with a face claim. Include her education, hobbies, profession, etc. A job that doesn’t take her away from the house constantly would be best for role play.
Alternate:
Similar, but in this case the woman is buying the house. To actually BUY the place one would need to have a bit more wealth. I'd still like the female half of this RP to have some sort of baggage. Kids and a pet of two would be ideal.
