This role play will take place during the time period of the Colombian Exchange. During this time period, Spain and Portugal (along with other countries) were conquering the Americas for resources and for land. In order to get these resources in a faster and more efficient way, people from Africa were then taken to the Americas where they were turned into slaves.
Some of the major items in the Americas that Spain and Portugal were interested in:
- Sugarcane
- Tomatoes
- Cocoa
However, this story will be about a pirate captain from Spain and the unfortunate Italian doctor that they capture. The Spaniard will be based off of Amaro Pargo, a national hero in Spain for his actions in the national interest. He was a bad guy, but ended up donating his money to charities later on. Pargo is pretty interesting. This is a romance story, and the two main characters are male. Please do not post in this thread since it is only for me and @Elemental Son. Thank you!
