Are you talking about soul perception? This ability allows certain miester to actually see another's soul. (This is ability is not given to every miester and is pretty rare.)

Well no. It would be something similar to Soul Eater, when he resonated his soul almost as a sound to chain resonate them. It would be resonanating his soul to use like echolocation. It would be more of a learned ability.
