Well, for one, technology would be highly advanced by now.
If need possibly, Death The Kid, could even break a fragment of his soul off to make another "Death the Kid" Character? If you want that I mean.

Oof good question. Possibly may 600 years into the future. Technology has advanced pretty far, but not too far where meisters are unless. And I guess we can use the idea of another Death the Kid.

Alright, so, Death Scythes. A thing or not? As I see it, there will be a sort of Witch/Sorcerer force that does not want to ally with DWMA. So witches can still be killed and consumed.
Also, witches should have a sort of item that allows them to collect souls, since they do not have weapons to consume the souls.
