*** "...This evening, on April 16,2050-- **krr**- has ended. I repeat, the war has officially ended. We are currently receiving reports from all over the states that the DWMA and its allies have finally put a stop to Renegade's actions. Overall casualties and losses are, uh, are --**krr**--still being estimated... but, we predict an estimation of more than a hundred lives lost throughout the war... Including...uh **krr**... I-- I can't do this. I'm going home to be with my family. Jim, cut the camera--"
On May 3, 2049 the organization known as Death Weapons and Meisters Academy would take a fatal hit in the future of which the likes no one had ever foreseen. Prior to the blow, dating back years minor reports would blow through and trivial rumors constantly buzzed by- but with time word began to spread that a unidentified group had been practicing in something that broke several laws under the Peace Treaty, formed between wicken kind and DWMA, months after the Kishin Asura was defeated. In response, DWMA and the Allied Witch Forces would send out units to discover the truth, only leading to several events sparking war. The catalyst that started it all being the greatest hit to witch history, prioritized even higher than the creation of Death Weapons- the successful assassination of the Grand Witch Maba, Queen of all witches.
Four days after the Grand Witch's death, DWMA and the Witch Order would wage an all out war against their enemy; Renegade.
The following battle that arose would eventually gain the attention of some world leaders. Leaders, who would go on to break their contract with Lord Death, after centuries of silence by intervening in a world they didn’t fully understand. Needless to say the struggle would be a dire one. With DWMA coming out victorious in the earlier months as the war proceeded then gradually declining with losses as more and more casualties began to grow. In the end it lasted nearly a year; casualties and losses afflicting both sides. DWMA ended up receiving detrimental strikes on every front all over its diverse branches and to make matters worse friendly affiliation with wicken would grow horribly sour for a long period of time after the assassination was seen as a failure on DWMA's part to fulfill one of the most important roles that had been undertaken when the Peace Treaty had been signed-- to protect witches.
Casualties between meisters, demon weapons, witches, and civilians in the three way war would ensue however a turning point would change the course of the war drastically. That turning point came in the form of Excalibur and his meister. Just as things were looking their worst for Witches and DWMA, the traitorous organization wouldn’t count themselves lucky when faced against the single most powerful Demon Weapon and its meister, who suddenly joined the fray. However, while Excalibur and his meister proved successful in adding that necessary push the Academy and its allies needed, it was also the push that gave Renegade the chance and opportunity to leave one more fatal mark on the world before its hasty disbandment.
On January 12, 2050, an explosion would claim the lives of hundreds in Chicago, Illinois. That explosion and those that followed it, would be known as the Big Bang. In a way it was a wake up call to the world. Reminding it about the ways in which war left scars. One of Renegade’s factories would implode not too far away from a heavily populated site known as the Cloud Gate where the results that came back after its implosion were less than savory. Following the explosion in Illinois, several other underground organizations directly tied to Renegade would surface and also initiate self-destruct sequences, all attempts in trying to by time as the battle became more and more decisive.
DWMA may have suffered casualties, but it wasn’t the number of losses they suffered that hit them so greatly. It was the losses of countries they were meant to protect that hit them the most. All in all the attempt to distract the governmental organization and its allies would prove better than successful, it would be brilliant. Multiple members of Renegade would go on to escape with only a certain quantity considered meager to be left behind, captured or killed. Renegade’s followers put up a valiant fight which ultimately gave its leaders- coupled with the explosions around certain parts of the world, time to escape into the shadows. And while traces or supposed sights had been seen, Renegade’s founders were never discovered nor were their identities ever clarified. In the end, not only were the losses great, but the merits they’d earned were hardly considered beneficial compared to the losses. In order to save what little face remained and aid its damaged organization, Kid the First, son of Death, along with his closest allies, and the representatives of wicken kind would begin a new agreement. Such an agreement stated:

Such an agreement stated:
“If any witches walk the path of death and senseless destruction or take the life of another for selfish or insidious intent that witch would become an international threat that the DWMA would take care of. If humans ever attempted to enter the Witch Realm for any reason outside political or diplomatic endeavors, the Eye of Maba would have their lives.”
Now over a decade later, the year is 2062, Death Scythes that were forbidden during the decades long peace have been given the permission to be recreated. It’s been nearly thirteen years since the Rebel War, and four decades since Crona’s sacrifice now it is time for the next generation of heroes to come forth, take the reins and face the challenges that most surely await them.
