Idea
The Pun Tyrant
Hey everyone!
So lately I´ve been quite interested in superhero action, and I did some brainstorming and came up with a few ideas to jumble together into this roleplay. While I am still working on refining them into a fully cohesive world and plot, do allow me to give you a little bait and see if it hooks.
Our characters will be superhuman or extrahuman individuals (respectively the improvement of humans or beings that came from outside humanity but are still integrating into it´s current society) currently living in this new Atlantean-ruled society, which has several groups witihin it, each belonging to one of the genre factions.
In addition to this, the roleplay will feature a collection of mechanics to give it a certain dynamic and balance.
*Mana, energy, ammo system
People love "getting tired" and "energy" based costs... I don´t wanna be turning them all away, so instead, I am implementing a system where those values will be fixed. Characters will have a limited mana, enegry and ammo which will have to be replenished before continual usage.
*Secret System
I demand that things are there in the CS: the character must exist and actually be fully approved before they are allowed into the roleplay. However, I know that this poses a problem with some people, who want to keep the element of surprise. Any part of the CS with the "S" mark on the template is one that can be added instead in a secondary hidden post.
*Ranked Power System
This RP, while not featuring dice or a turn-based system, will feature stats, in the form of rankings. This will be explained further later (or if asked), but they are comparative in essence and require the distribution of points. However, before you are given your points, if you have an ability, you will make it: if approved, it will be atributed a rank, and the higher the rank, the less points you will get for your character´s stats.
I also plan on using ranks for other things, though I haven´t yet limed out what.
*Hero Skill System
In addition to their abiltiy and stats, heroes will be allowed to progress in ranking themselves. As they advance, they gain "hero skill" slots, which are slots where you can add a particular item, special move or skill that was purchased through your earnings. Players will be allowed to contribute with new ideas for these.
*Hero Guild and Race System
Whether by birth or by choice, heroes will be allowed to join factions called guilds, groups that seek to expand their influence in Antlantean society and which are based on one of several genres. Guilds come with prizes and limitations individually, usually consisting of forbidden actions and item limitations, but adding exclusive guild items. Thinking of maybe adding a guild reputation system, but not sure yet.
In addition, you may come from a nonhuman race. A nonhuman race comes with a pre-packajed ability that automatically fills one of your skill slots. They are generally a bit more powerful than normal ones. Races with this trait also force you to belong to a certain faction with a due exception. Players will be allowed to contribute new races.
*Job System
For the characters to exist in a functional world, they need jobs. That can be a hero, yes, but your character may have a different job. The point is, depending on their job, they may have tasks and those tasks earn a paycheck. Money, will of course, be usable, though less usuable if taken by ... *unlawful* means...
*Progression System
Your actions have consequences is something I will try exploring here. While I can´t keep track of every minor thing that happens, even major events in your backstories will be added into lore, society will reflect them. And of course, minor things may also sometimes come back. You may not be able to get that milk if you act like an ass to the milkman!
*Time Progression System
Simply put, time exists. It will be measured in posts for shorter periods and in days for longer ones. You don´t get to choose when time passes and wounds, for example, will take time to heal depending on how severe they are. Things can take time to make. Etc...
If this huge ass list of mechanics and the lore didn´t turn you away yet, then here is one last trial, requirements.
This will be a detailed RP based on my content minimum rather than the usual length minimums.. There will be COMPLEX CHARACTER SHEETS TO BE FILLED APPROPRIATELY.
If you´re still here, congrats, have a cookie. And, of course, welcome to this (hopefully) amazing superhero RP!
I humbly ask your cooperation, and if you have any questions be sure to ask them!
(PS: also looking for a co-GM if possible)

"Einstein said that he didn´t know what world war three would be fought with, but world war four with be fought with sticks and stones. Thing is, it wasn´t just him: No one could have predicted what happened. By the mid-twenty-first century, the expondencial growth of our technology led to some unbelievable discoveries, such as the hidden third DNA strain in the human body. It seemed to be dormant, and attempts to stimulate it where pratically futile, until one group managed to trigger the awakening of the first superhuman, humasn with greater bodies that sometimes developed abillities. It was surprisingly easy to do, and they began spreading, which in turn awakened something else that was hiding, the world of magic.
Long story short, there was one bloody war, leaving the world on the brink of turning into a full wasteland, until a group "The atlanteans", the descedent of the ancient civilization of Atlantis, pulled their country from under the sea and declared it the origin of the third strand, and brought all sides of the war into defeat.
With the world pratically destroyed, the Antlanteans connected their country to the surviving cities where people would gather to join their civilization. But the problem of keeping all the superpowerful beings from growing even stronger and with their anger overthrowing the ancient civilization once and for all. So instead, the superhero system was created, allowing anyone with the will to fight to work keeping the order in the cities or go out to defeat the monsters created by the side-effects of the war."

The content minimum is a concept that establishes what elements needs to en oresent in a post in order for it to be acceptable for a given roleplay. The content minimum is irrespective of size: if you can pull off all it needs in just one paragraph, good for you.
For this thread, the content minimum will be as follows:
•Any and all character thoughts, emotions, reactions and actions- I don't think I need to be explain these
•All appropriate mentions and interactions- if anyone is or should be interacting with you, if there Is someone your character noticed but won't go interact with
•All changes in position in time or space- time skips and any motion your character does: I want to know when and where they start and when and where they finish.
•Descriptions of relative positioning- if you're in a room, I want to know where in the room
•setting description upon transition- if you go into a new place describe how it looks and feels
•setting interaction- if anything in the setting, be it the breeze, the heat, the toys in the ground, whatever, if there is interaction with you

My criteria for Co-Gm is more of a series of responsabilities that one takes upon themselves as a co-GM. It´s a long and tight list, precisely because it´s a position of importance, and I may put quite a bit of trust in you if you choose to take it. If somehow more than a single person applies for the position, then I will be holding trial periods and later choose one to two co-Gms, maybe even three, depending on the scale this gets (though at the time, I doubt I will need more than one).
*My co-GM must willing to debate with principles of politeness, respect and logic, rather than hunches and force
*My co-GM must be capable of second-guessing and giving me feedback on my ideas privately and intelligently
*My co-Gm must be able to cover up for me in case I become unavailable temporarily (one of the biggest reasons why I want a co-GM, really)
*My co-Gm must help me keep track of the information from the various systems
*My co-Gm must be willing to aim for the greater good of the conceptual thread, not the pleasing of particular players or the promotion of their own ideas. This doesn´t mean players shouldn´t be pleased or their ideas aren´t allowed to flourish and be explored, but they can´t be a priority.
*My co-Gm must understand that they get limited priviliges as the co-GM. In essence, even I myself am just a normal member of this thread, outside of my responsabilities as GM.
