The Sequel to Sonic Mania, Sonic Fever stars Sonic the Hedgehog, Miles "Tails" Prower, Knuckles the Echidna, Amy Rose, Mighty the Armadillo and Ray the Flying Squirrel in an all brand new high flying adventure, as they race against time to stop both the evil Doctor Robotnik and his henchman Metal Sonic from retrieving what is rumored to be the missing 8th Chaos Emerald of legend, the Black Chaos Emerald, otherwise known, as the Dark Chaos Emerald, it is said that whereas the other 7 Emeralds draw upon the powers of light, this both strange and mysterious 8th Emerald draws upon the powers of darkness...hoping to use this to his advantage, Robotnik builds a new army of Badniks and has them search all over the entire globe itself for the missing 8th Chaos Emerald, only to find nothing so far...using this to their own advantage, Sonic and friends, dubbing themselves, the Freedom Fighters search for the Chaos Emerald of darkness, intending to destroy it before its dark powers can be used to take over the world by not just Robotnik but other parties searching for it for their very own reasons...namely, the three individuals: Fang the Sniper, Bean the Dynamite and Bark the Polar Bear, as Sonic and the Freedom Fighters fight all these opposing forces at once, they find themselves getting into a Sonic Fever unlike any other, at last! the Mania continues in the direct Sequel: Sonic Fever.
