The year is 2144. Humanity has spread to the stars, recently united under the flag of the human race, officially known as the United Earth Colonies. Recent population booms are estimated to have increased the population of humans living in the galaxy well over 450 billion. Having met half a dozen alien races in the past few decades, wars have been fought, and allies made. But now, recent rumours predict a war of a scale never before seen; according to 'alien sources' courageous pilots who run shipments outside of the UEC have witnessed space fleets of sizes never even dreamt about. Some blame the aliens, others the UEC; the human government has after been mass producing war ships in a not-so-discreet manner. As war looms over the galaxy, an unlikely crew will wake in the cargo hold of a vessel of unknown nature at an unknown location. Some believe that they hold the key to humanity's salvation.
