just looking
ooc: {Hey, so here is our post. I hope you like it. It has been a while so I hope you enjoy. Random ideas if you want to be familiar with each other some how thats cool. I don't know if you want to be a reincarnation or if you want to be human its all you. Also if you don't make first contact thats fine I'll make sure to do so the next post.

Also I made me character twenty five-six. He's working in a hospital/ looking to be a doctor. Little back story.}

*The smell of the ocean air was something that he couldn't get enough of. The taste of the salt on his tongue made his mouth water. The coast line was in view now. The sun had began to make its way towards the horizon and as the color of the sky changed it made his home look as if a treasure. It had been months now, maybe nine or more. He knew his daughter would have been born and his wife waiting with his son. The image in his head was so sweet as he climbed down from the crows nest. The crew were all gathering at the bottom hoping he had good news*

"Are we close? I know this coast line, tell us!"

*The cheers were echoing as they all grew silent for a moment*

"I think we shall be home by night fall gents"

*The crew roared with cheers as they all rejoiced. The British navy had promised a good pay for their services and now that they were so close the men grew hasty to rejoin their loved ones. Some had ideas to leave the navy and buy land to farm, others to move to London where the queen had promised economic stability. It all seemed so perfect till the first cannon rang.

Silence fell as everyone's gaze turned behind to see the approaching night fall. And alone with it came a ship with no colors except for the black sails. At first panic ran through the soldiers, not here. Not in their home port. The town was small and empty except for their own ship. There was no help, no one to fight. Except for them.*

"Full stop! Men starboard! Get down and ready the cannons, bring the muskets and ring the bells. All hands on deck!!"

*The words seemed foreign for a moment as no one moved. But like a surge of electricity everyone began to man their stations like they had so many times before. Now instead of fighting for Queen and country they were fighting for home. And this was one fight they could not lose.

The second and third cannons were fired, and the flaming daubery nearly hit their marks this time. The black sailed ship moved in the water quickly for its size. Our ship was not so nimble anymore, not from the fights it had seen. The fourth cannon ball flew right by our heads this time hitting the officer's quarters. The ship rocked back before slamming into the water.*

"Fire!!"

*The command let the cannons loose. The cracking from the barrels shook the ship as fire lit the darkening seas. The first three missed but the last four did not. The crew roared as they began to reload. But from no where cannon fire came from the right, in the fading light. What he couldn't see from the town was the smoke that enveloped it. The red sun made it look like it was dancing in light and not in fire. This was no home coming but a death trap. Our ship spun hard to try and face both fronts. Cannon fire broke again, from ours and theirs. The darkness looked like dragons fire as they consumed the wood. Yells and cries were muffled and the smell filled our noses. Yet now we fired, faster. They ships closed in, one to ram and this was their mistake. The men ran onto the first ship as the men now turned to monsters with swords in hands met the devils. I looked around as I saw a man run to me, my musket emptied into one and then my bayonet sank into another. My sword now in my hand I didn't see it but heard it. The other ship let the full force fly from their cannons on us and their own. I tasted metal, fire and burning before a mouth full of water quenched my thirst. The salty cold water as my eyes closed. Thinking to myself. 'I hate this part'

"Gabriel?"

*The room was dark as my heart was beating. A small sigh escaped me. I cleared my throat as I fought back the tears."

"Hey, Gabriel. You ok?"

*My words weren't fully collected as I sat up. My eyes ached as I tried to adjust to the light coming from outside.*

Gabriel: "Yeah, yeah. Sorry. You just startled me a little, I had a nightmare."

*The man in the door way looked confused and then apologetic.*

"Hey man, I'm sorry. I know this was the end of your shift. Do you want to get breakfast? I can pick you something if you would rather stay."

*Gabriel ran his hands through his dirty blond hair. Relief escaped him as he smiled. He stood up.*

Gabriel: "Yeah, yes. Lets go. Give me a second though huh? I'll be out in a few. If anything I'll see you there. Coffee shop by the park right?"

*With a nod and wave his friend left him again in the dark room. Gabriel stretched as he made his way to the bathroom. He flicked on the light to see the man he was now looking back at him. His fair skin complimented his green eyes. Irish, english and german blood were flowing through his current body. They paired well. But they clashed with all his other reincarnations. He missed them, maybe he would miss this one next time around. He didn't know.

A few moments later he walked through the hospital he had been interning at. His residency was almost up and then he could pick a hospital soon. The life had come easy, he always considered himself a healer or someone who liked to help people rather then harm. If there was a higher calling medicine was his. He waved to his co-workers as he found himself outside. The warm spring air filled his nose. The harbor was close enough that he could pick up the sea air. His mouth began to water*

"Mother! Mother!" Little tommen runs towards his mother that stood infront of their home's porch. From here they can hear the loud canons from the outer bay of their village. Victoria was no idiot, she knew too well what was happening out there. It was only two days ago when she and other wives who were left in this village recieved letter that soon their husbands were to join them, back to the comfort of their homes and safety.

Estimation of their arrival was by nightfall if they weren't mistaken. But those faint sounds of canons ringing in the distance says otherwise. Victoria knelt down to level herself with her eldest son Tommen, now a boy of 10, quite tall for his age with green eyes like his father, his hair brown with soft curls he got from his mother.

"My son." Victoria whispered in a soft calm voice despite the panic in her chest. She placed her hands on both side of his rosy pink cheeks. The boy really is handsome as some maiden in their village often told her, they said her husband and Victoria's features turned out quite perfect in little tommen. But to her eyes, he looked a lot more like her husband.

"Why don't you go check on little rosette hmm?" Victoria told tommen with a warm smile on her face, one that shows no hint of fear or worry. Only nearly a week ago did Victoria give birth to their second child, this time a little girl she named Rosette. Victoria was quite thankful she recovered faster than she expected, she figured it was because of her young age of 25.

"But mum she's not even crying. And those noise, aren't those-"

"Those are nothing love. Its just our soldiers practicing." She lied to her son.

Of course she knew it wasn't the village's soldiers doing one of their canon drills, if it were they would have made an announcement at the town, an announcement ordered by the Queen. But no, there was nothing.

"Fine." Tommen said with a frown as he turned around and ran up the wooden stairs to check on his little sister. Victoria chose to stay outside, waiting for whatever may come. What would she do? Her children...her poor children. She couldn't even ponder upon what those pirates would do to them if they captured little Tommen and Rosette. They would do far worse than possibly imagined.

Unaware a tear fell from Victoria's eyes which she quickly wiped off with the back of her hands. For a while it went silent, then screaming echoed through the village, the bell of the castle rang signifying only one thing but a siege. Then smoke and fire rose from the distance. Where did those come from? Burning arrows? Canons? How come she didn't even notice? Perhaps she thought that's how deep she was in her thoughts.

Quickly she ran inside her home and shut the doors before running up the stairs towards her room where Tommen watched through the window, from above the village was clearly under attack, fire engulfed everywhere, thick black smoke spreads across the entire land.

"Mother... Are we going to die?"

Then little Rosette woke up with a loud cry.

~

'I opened my eyes and sat up straight from my bed, the light from my window was shining brightly on my face making me frown. My hand flew on my forehead clutching it, it felt wet and hot. That's when I noticed I was sweating. This always happen everytime I try to claim more and more of my memories in Victoria's life. Quite an improvement for me, that's the furthest I've ever gone.'

Sitting up from her bed she walked towards her desk and watched her reflection. Long brown hair with soft curls on the end, hazel eyes perfectly shaped like almonds. For a little while longer she stared at her own reflection, wondering what Victoria would have looked like. Everytime she entered her life she only sees everthing through Victoria's perspective, but not even once has she ever seen the lady and her reflection.

Walking towards the bathroom Emily washed her face and went down to have breakfast where her family waited for her.

"Goodmorning sleepy head." Her mother greeted her with a smile. Suddenly she felt a pang of pain in her chest. Pain for Victoria, her children. Emily wondered what could have happened next... Perhaps she should find out.

*The length of the walk his mind was busy. The images he had viewed through someone else's eyes. A chill ran down his back as he placed his hands in his pockets. It wasn't cold by any means but it was enough for him to shy away from the breeze. Time passed, his legs took him to a familiar little shop that was a few blocks away from the hospital. He still was a bit absent as he paused at a cross walk. The clock tower struck eleven. A lovely little Sunday morning. They had all been he thought. He would love the days he could be out in public. See them go through their lives with loved ones. Be able to enjoy. He missed that, as he thought back he didn't know when his first life was. How this all started. The idea made him dizzy. It always did. He had lived enough lives he thought. Is this magic? Is this a gift? A curse? Would he ever rest or was this just a cycle he would never be able to escape. His heart started to pound in his chest again. He held his hand out to steady himself against the cross walk sign. It ached. By now we dreamed weeks away, months. He would wake to find himself with nose bleeds, a few grey hairs. It started to wane on him. Memories for life he thought. If he wanted to know more he would waste this body like those he had before. He knew if he would dive to deep he would drown quickly. It wasn't till a passer by called to him*

"Sir? Are you ok? Sir?"

*The voice sounded hollow. It was an echo in his head. He took a few deep breaths as he calmed himself down. A small cold sweat began to pearl again.*

"Yes."

*He lied*

"I'm fine. Thank you"

*Again he straightened himself up. The light indicated it was his turn to walk. He now found himself in the coffee shop. The smell was rich as the counter looked busy with customers. Sunday's were busy days he thought. Why did his friend pick here? Speaking of which where was he? With a confused look Gabriel fished in his pocket, he clicked the phone awake to show a missed call from Kevin followed by a text.*

"Hey Gabe. Our spot it packed. I'm heading the one on first. Let me know if you want anything or I'll see you there"

* A hint of annoyance ran through his head as he looked down at the screen. Children he thought. The feeling past suddenly as it gave way to amusement. He had slowly began to turn into a old man. And old grumpy man.*

"Can I help you?"

*His eyes drifted to a shop employee. She was young, cute. This town was a college town, the local university was popular enough where people moved here for school. She smiled at him and he smiled back*

"No thank y-"

*He paused mid sentence. There was a warm feeling that came over him. It was a tingling sensation he had only felt a dozen times before. It pulled at him as he felt the door open behind. It was another, another like him he thought. The rarety of his kind were few and far between. In all his lives he only met a few and even then the chances were amazing. The warm feeling came and faded. Like a static shock that hit once and went away. He turned slowly as first the smell hit him. Sweetness he thought. His heart skipped a bit as it flooded him. But it was those eyes that rose to meet his. Those hazel orbes of light. He felt frozen. Memories clashed with one another. He had to remind himself to breath before he fainted and once he did the smell crashed his senses anew.*

"Victoria..."

*His words were less then a whisper. He had barley formed the words. His body wanted to jump forward. His arms wanted to wrap themselves around her. His lips wanted to feel hers pressed firmly against his. But that's when he felt it again. The warm fuzz from before he saw her. It sent a shock through him again. Yet this time his body told him to run. His instincts cleared his mind before he heard the breaks from a van. Before he could explain his reached for her hand and pulled her as they began to run.*

Right after breakfast with her family, Emily quickly ran back up to her room to check her phone. She had plans today to study with her bestfriend Clara at the coffee shop downtown, one which they haven't been in and tried yet. So today the two decided to try anything from that cafe's menu as they studied for their finals. Emily rummaged through her closet as she tried to figure which outfit to wear. A separate top and bottom? Or a sunny dress perhaps to match the fine weather.

She stayed there for a while, sitting with her legs crossed as she searched and searched. In the end, she decided to wear a simple white V neck shirt, and denim shorts.

She quickly took a bath and changed into her clothes before sitting infront of her dresser. Above the table were a few variation of makeup, brushes, and a round mirror. She puts on a little bit of makeup to enhance her natural features before picking up her phone to send Clara a text message.

"Off to the café downtown! See you there."

Quickly she took out her car keys from her school bag that was now slinged over her shoulder while she climbed down the stairs.

"Mom! Dad! I'm going okay?" Emily called out to them as she held open the door, waiting for their response.

"Alright just be home before dinner okay!" Her mother called out from the kitchen.

"Loud and clear."

-

The drive to the cafè took only fifteen minutes. Not really much traffic which made it all easier for Emily as she hated driving. As much as possible she would take every single chance she could use as reason not to drive. She now walked along the park making her way to the café. People passed her with a smile on their faces. She wondered whether there was someone else out there like her. Emily doesn't have the faintest idea how this works. How she just remembers who she was before this lifetime, how everytime she wanted to she can claim more and more of the memory she had then, the memory Victoria had.

She's also well aware of the weakness she feels every morning as she tried to travel deep within what she called 'the other realm'. The realm Emily found out she had the ability of entering, to claim more memories of her past life. That certain weakness she feels varies from mild to severe. Sometimes if she doesn't try to remember much she'd only feel dizzy and tired. But other times she would find herself waking up in the middle of the night, shaking, sweating, her nose would often bleed and once she tried to stood up. She would always end up falling again as the room around her spins inside her head.

Someday, she hoped someone will make sense to all this craziness. Someone who knows what's going on, someone who is well aware of this so called 'ability'. Yet sometimes it feels like a curse...

Emily found herself standing infront of the door to the café. From outside she can see through the glass that the place was nearly full. Students studying, some just talking, while other's aren't doing anything but just eating. She decided to enter anyway to wait for any vacant seat for two. But the moment she entered, the moment her feet entered the door way. Emily felt something. Something she's never felt before in her entire life. It felt calm, assuring, warm and...familiar.

She took a deep breath and placed her hand on her chest. From the touch she can feel her rapid heart beating. Was this the toll for what she did earlier? For trying again to claim more of her past life's memories? Somehow Emily doubted it. This one felt nice unlike the usual things she'd feel.

Her eyes scanned around the place as her heart skips a beat on her chest. For a while the girl thought she was yet again inside her dream. Those eyes. She would recognize those eyes from anywhere. There was a man, same age as her. Perhaps slightly older. He was sitting there just a few distance from her. And he was looking at her too. For a while, time seem to have stopped as seconds flew by like hours. She wanted to run towards him, hug him, kiss him, tell him how much she loved him. That was what the feeling from deep within her said... That was what Victoria was saying. But something else spoke to her that this man is a stranger, that she doesn't know him. But its a lie. Ofcourse she knew him. She would recognize those green emerald eyes from anywhere. The eyes of the man she once loved.

She saw his lips move. She couldn't hear what he said exactly. But by the way his soft lips opened she can read his words from the air around them.

"Victoria." That's what he said in whisper.

Emily's lips opened to call his name but closed right away as the warm feeling in her chest vanished and entered another. This one was dark and threatening. Suddenly she can hear the loud canons and scream from Victoria's memories. This feeling reminded her of that. Before she could even think about anything else. That man grabbed her hands and pulled her out of the café and they both ran together, their hands linked as he grabbed onto her tightly like he never wanted to lose her again.

Emily wanted to stop, or let go of his hands. But she didn't. His touch. She felt that touch before. Her instincts told her to just run. Run and run until they were both safe. And so she did.

*Her hand was warm. It was cozy you could call it. This all did. Her presence. The past few lives were searching and just existence. Now they all felt like a dream and now he was awake to find she was here. He had to remind himself where he was for a moment and the situation. He allowed himself a look back to see a black van with four men walking out of it. His eyes squinted, none looked familiar he thought. Two of them entered the shop, the other two noticed them running so started after them instead. Part of him wanted to stop, whats the worst they could do? Kill them both? What didn't stop him was the fact he just found her again, how long would it be till he could again. Another four hundred years?*

"Friends of yours?"

*Humor is the best copping method, also the most cynical. Therapy. He knew his way. He turned back again as the men started to make up ground. He thought where they could go. Back to his place? To her's? Find somewhere to hide? Who were these guys anyway? And why was there this feeling of a need to get away? The more he questioned the more he needed to know. Just then his phone began to buzz in his pocket, he could have left it but looked at the screen. Kevin was calling him again*

"Hello? Yeah, where are you? Do you have your car? Where?! I see you!"

*He looked back at Victoria, or at least the body she claimed now.*

"Trust me. Run for the car and tell him to drive."

*He stopped as he cupped her face in his hands and kissed her cheek.*

"Go!"

*He placed himself in front of them and her as he squared himself. He looked back to her with a nod. The first man reached him, Gabriel was ready. A swing for his face he saw, he jumped back so the man fell. The second went for a tackle, again Gabe jumped back so now the second man was on his knees. Gabe stepped in and kneed his face. As he spun around the first man was on his feet again with a strange dagger in his hand. The design was nothing he had seen yet he feared it. He took a few steps back to lure him in. He heard from behind the other two men running his way. He took his messenger bag from his shoulder and threw it to the man in defense. The man lunged forward nearly skewering him but missing. Now off balance Gabe pushed the man to the ground and ran for the car just as it started to pull away. The door flew open and he jumped in. He looked at both his friend who seemed very confused and Victoria who mirrored the emotion. *

"Hi. Kevin, this is.."

*He seemed embarrassed by the pause. He didn't even know her name and yet he had his arm over her shoulder*

"I'm Gabriel"

'Emily was confused as he ordered her to run towards the car just a few feet ahead. Her heart was still beating in her chest as she saw a few number of men approach them. Specifically him. William. After he ordered her to run and ask whoever was inside that car to drive. She stood there first, in shock with the way his hands felt on her cheek, the way his soft lips brushed against her skin. It was too familiar. She didn't want to go or separate away from him despite the fact that she doesn't know who he is in this current life. She wanted to be with him till she knew for sure he was safe.

"B-But..." Emily stuttered as she saw the men got closer. Completely against her own wishes she turned around and made a run for the car.

She felt like she should just listen and trust him. That somehow William won't let anything bad happen to her... Not again anyways.

Emily quickly opened the door to the car and entered through the passengers seat just behind the driver whom she still doesn't know. 'What the hell am I doing!' She thought to herself as she looked at the man through the rear view mirror.

"He said drive!" Emily screamed with a glance behind only to see William fighting off the men. He was outnumbered that much was clear. Will he make it?

"W-What?! What the fu-"

"Just drive!" She cuts him off and thankful that he stepped on the pedal and had the car moving forward and fast.

She closed her eyes. She couldn't watch what was happening. It was four against one. What if there was more of them inside that van they came out of?

"William." Emily whispered. Her eyes still closed tightly while she prayed for his safety. Then as fast as that she heard the car door open as it still moved. Then felt a strong masculine arm wrap around her shoulder.

Just like that all her worries vanished and she felt that warm familiar feeling again. She opened her eyes and glanced up at him only to find her face a few inches away from him. He's handsome, if anything even more handsome than the William in Victoria's memories.

-

Gabriel. So that's who he is now.

"Emily." She said in a low voice. Her eyes locked on his. She didn't want to look away, not ever again.

'You made it back to me.' Victoria spoke from within her.

Unaware she raised her hand and placed them on his cheek. Caressing them with her thumb.

"I know you."

"Emily. What a pretty name."

*His head swam for a moment.*

Kevin: " I don't want to interrupt this new love fest but what's going on? I just saw you pull some moves on those two guys. And I'm sure one pulled a knife on you. I didnt know you to be part of the wrong crowd Gabe. Should we call the cops?"

*He thought for a moment. The truth was that. He actually didn't know the truth. These guys came out of no where and for all intense and purposes this was a random occurrence. But then what was that feeling? It was strange. Something primal kicked in.*

"Did you feel that back there?"

*The arm he had wrapped around her had found its way into her hand. His fingers locked into place again.*

"It was an old fraternity prank. The new guy picks a fight with an alumni under cover and the others play along."

*He was dead in the water. It didn't make sense. How could it?*

Kevin: "I didn't take you as a frat guy"

*Gabriel smirked as he squeezed Emily's hand as he held back a laugh.*

"Do me a favor and drop me off uptown. The city center. I'll pay you for gas."

*With no hesitation his friend put his turn signal on and merged on the northway. Gabriel pulled Emily close enough to whisper. She smelled amazing.*

"I think I know where we can find some answers."

~

Emily did nothing more but just stare at him. His face. Those eyes. He didn't look exactly like the William in her memories. But she was more than sure this is him. At least before he became Gabriel. A small smile crawled on her lips as his hands locked on her's. Fingers entwined together. This felt all weird, all different. How can a stranger she never met feel so familiar?

"Answers?" Emily's eyebrows furrowed slightly. Does he mean answer to the same question in her head? Or questions regarding who those men were?

She ignored all the doubts in her head and just went along with it all. She wanted to protest but didn't. Emily tightened her hands around his before looking through the window.

"Crap!" She cursed and pulled her hands away from his hold to dig out her phone from her bag. Quickly she started composing a message for her bestfriend who would probably be at the café any moment now.

*Something came up at home! Raincheck. Call you later. Sorry*

She frowned as she placed her phone back to her bag and returned her gaze to Gabriel. So many questions ran through her head. One after the other and everything got more and more complicated.

"Earlier. You said Victoria. Why?" She paused for a while with a confused look on her face. "How?" She added.

*he looked on as she played with her phone. He had interrupted a meeting maybe? A date? Maybe a friend? He had met people from past lives before. Sometimes people he had been close with. Never like this though. Or at least he hadn't. There was much clouded from him. Secrets he didn't feel the need to pay for. *

"Earlier you said Victoria. Why? How?"

*the question was valid. How did he remember her so quickly? Was it fate? Luck. Chance? He had just dreamed his days as Williams not an hour ago. Maybe that life still had an impression on him.*

"It's kind of like that feeling you get when you are in the dark and someone has their hand in front of your face. You know it's there. This time it happened to be you. I didn't need to see you before I could feel you."

*he didn't know if that had sufficed as an answer. He also caught his friend roll his eyes as he parked at their destination.*

Kevin: "ok you two. Out. You are making me feel uncomfortable."

*gabriel shook his head and slipped it a twenty. He patted his friend on the shoulder as he opened the door. He made sure to look back holding his hand out to help her. A wave good bye and they were alone. The street was in the financial portion of the city. Banks and office buildings were everywhere. There was little foot traffic.*

"We are here to see Jacob. He's like us. He visited me a work. He knew at once who we were and were not. I don't know how much you know of our kind. I'm guessing you already know we are not human in the general sense."

~

All throughout as Gabriel talked all Emily did was listen with a frown on her face. All she had were questions and no answer seem to have sufficed. Not even his answer to her earlier. Inside her head nothing made sense. Does this mean there's more of them? People who could remember who they were before their current lifetime? But all Emily remembers was one life. And that was Victoria's. Could it really be possible that she lived even more?

She walked next to him, their hands still linked together. She had no idea where he was going or who this Jacob was so he just walked and followed Gabriel, glancing behind her every now and then to make sure no one was following them. Whatever the excuse he made up earlier about those guys who attacked them. Enily wasn't buying it.

They both entered one of the many buildings in this portion of the town and walked straight to the elevator banks choosing one. Whoever this Jacob was, it's obvious that Gabriel's been here quite a few times since he knew his way well.

"I'm nervous." Emily whispered as they rode the elevator. She didn't know why she was feeling that way but she just did and she couldn't explain it at all. "I feel safe but... But in danger at the same time."

The elevator chimned and the silver doors open revealing a hallways filled with doors across from each other. Glacing up at Gabriel she gave him a questioning look that says. *Now what?*

*he never moved his hand from hers. If she didn't loosen her grip he wouldn't either.*

"Don't be nervous. If anything this would be a friend to have. Follow me this way."

*the office seemed empty. Strange. This building had always been buzzing when he had been come before. Now the two walked calmly and with out anyone to stop them.*

" odd.. Do you remember seeing anyone on the way up?"

*The question was aloud. He asked both her and himself. He had been wrapped up finding her everything else faded into the background till now. They were close enough to had felt him or Jacob to feel them as well. Was he not in? Or did people leave early?*

"
Wait here a moment."

*as if a life time ago he released her. His steps were calculated as he made his way to Jacobs office. Still nothing. It wasn't till he arrived at his open door did he feel it in his gut. The sight was a lot to take in. Jacob had given much for his memories. He had been placed in the hospital many time and now in a wheel chair. He had been reckless but never the less smart, cunning. But the hollow shell they had left was a body. A borrowed one of course but hollow never the less. Two bullet wounds and a stab wound. Gabriel clasped his mouth with his hands as he stumbled his way back.*

"It's not safe here. We have to go."

*thats when they heard a door open.*

~

When Gabriel loosed his grip to cometely let go of her hand, she wanted to reach over him and stop him from wherever he was going. Something's wrong. Something isn't right.

He was right, when they entered the building there wasn't much people. There were a few in the lobby, but all those did were just look at them like they didn't care. Other's just passed by to leave the building entirely. But on their way up here, there was nothing. No one at all.

Emily followed him towards the door he took, herself lagging behind him. Her steps were so quiet and assuring yet from the quiet hollow walls everything seemed to be louder.

Then he opened the door and entered, for a while he was out of her sight. Then she could've sword she heard him take a heavy breathe before hearing him stumble slightly.

"Gabriel are y-" Her eyes grew wide at the sight. It was a man... A dead man but she wasn't sure how he was killed, there was just too many blood for her to see within her distance. Emily was too far back and she stumbled back even more by taking a few steps till she found herself out of that office. Behind her she heard a door open but her shock from what she just saw shuts off her entire senses.

"Don't move. Or you die." A man with a very deep voice spoke from behind her as he placed a blade across her neck. She held her chin up high out of instinct as she walked forward again, him pushing her against his body.

Then Emily saw Gabriel turned around and stopping on his tracks when he saw her held hostage by someone.

"Ah. Don't even try boy or your pretty little girlfriend here dies." He held the blade closer to her skin. Emily gasping as the cold steel touches her neck.

"Look who's gotten a reunion after hundreds and hundreds of years." He said with amusement in his tone.

"Sorry to cut it short..." He added with a playful smile on his mouth.

*it had all happened so quickly. He had let his guard down after seeing his mentor in the way they had left him. It didn't register till it had happened. Emily. Not here, not now. He had failed to keep her safe before he couldn't let her down here. The man had gotten the upper hand as he spoke with a sense of cockiness in his tone. And how he spoke to them as if they knew who they were. Was he like them? He hadn't felt him coming. Had he found a way to block his sense from them? The last portion was irrelevant right now. All he had to focus on now is how to get Emily back.*

"Ok, ok. Calm down."

*gabriel held his hands up*

"I see this going two ways. You let her go and you live out your life peacefully or you kill her I kill you and you won't be liking how it all turns out for you."

*the up the knife he was using as a weapon. It was the same design he had seen earlier men pull on him*

"This blade is meant for two things. To kill you spiteful creatures. And the second to make sure you can never come back or move on. It simply makes you not exist anywhere any more. "

*Thats not possible he thought. From what he could remember he had been killed before and always was about to reincarnate. Was this man lying? Or worst was be telling the truth. Gabriel looked at Emily with some kind of confidence that things would turn out ok. *

"Fine. What do you want?"

"Get down on your knees"

*with a nod Gabriel was already down. What to do, what to do? His mind racing. The man all to smug let his hand trail down away from Emily's neck. His body language said enough. He'd kill Gabriel first and then her. A step towards him is all Gabriel needed. Just far enough from Emily.

It was a rush of adrenaline as Gabriel was back on his feet and spearheaded the man to the ground.*

"Head for the stairs!"

*Gabriels plea hopefully reached Emily as he started to pin down the man.*

~

Andrenaline filled Emily's entire senses as she stood there with wide eyes. She didn't knlw what to do, her eyes just remained lock on Gabriel as he pinned down the man with the knife with strange embroideries on the floor. The man was grunting as he tried to fight Gabriel off, the look on his face showed rage, anger and frustration all at the same time. Emily couldn't help but feel even more afraid.

She heard clearly as Gabriel asked her to run, and in all honesty she did want to. But her legs won't move, it felt like a huge anchor held her down. Weighing her almost making it seem impossible to even take a single step.

Emily's eyes darted from left to right, trying to find anything she could use to help. Then she saw it, it was that knife just a few feet away from them. Out of instinct she ran and reached for it. Her hands shook as she held on to the knife's handle. And so without thinking, she grabbed it and held it tightly standing in one coner of the room.

"N-No! I'm not going anywhere without you!" She screamed back to him, her voice shaking and filled with so much fear.

*the man was heavy. He was fit and it took all of Gabriel's strength to even control him. Back and forth they tossed. His muscles started to feel the fatigue, fire burned through them a they pleads to release. A fist came from no where as it made contact with Gabriel's face. He felt the blood pool underneath as it would bruise soon enough. Some how in all the turmoil the knife the man used was lunged out of his hands. This made it safer and easier to move*

"N-no! I'm not going anywhere without you!"

*gabriels ears perked up as he lifted his head to see Emily standing there with the knife. He took a breath to yell but the man kneed his stomach taking all his air out. His body went limp for a moment as he let the man get away from him. His body tried to move but found he could only gasp for air. The man how ever was on his feet, his face was not amused as he looked tired from the scuff. His hand was extended out towards emily. His eyes still on Gabriel.*

"Give me the knife. Now"

*Gabriel tried to get to his knees but only was met with another kick to the gut. His body surged with pain again as the little air he had once again fled. The man returned his hand to the position towards Emily once again.*

"Give. Me. The. Knife!"

*The mans face turned into a snarl as he barked at her. His patients were growing thin the longer he waited as he rolled his eyes and reached behind his back to a gun. He cocked the pistol as he aimed it at Emily. And then it happened. With a flash Gabriel tackled the man once again. He was still short on breath but now he had the man in a head lock, his legs wrapped around his waist squeezing the air out and his arm making sure none new entered. Gabriel looked at Emily, it was her face. Two parts of him battled with one another. He wanted to kill the man for killing Jacob, kill him for endangering Emily. Kill him because he wanted to kill them. But he didn't know if he could while she watched. He started to feel the mans breath leave him, his body start to fade. Thirty seconds more and he would be an empty container much like the one in the other room. 10, 9, 8, 7...Gabriel's pulse ripped in his chest as he released. The man fell unconscious but alive. He sat there quietly as he heard the man wheezing.*

"I'm sorry"

*His words were soft as he looked at Emily, she still looked scared, the knife still tight in her hand. Gabriel stood up and grabbed the man by his collar. He pulled him into the office where Jacob sat. He looked for something and found Jacob's tie. He used it to secure him to the desk and turned to leave, he paused as he saw a set of keys. He pocket them as he walked back to Emily, his hand rested on her shoulder as he lowered the knife.*

"
Let's go"

*He placed his hand around her shoulder as he held her close. He placed the knife in his bag and walked with her to the parking garage where they found a black bmw that belonged to their late friend. He opened her door, then entered his. The car purred alive and they drove off. His hands played a moment and then set the navigation to 'home'. Jacob's home. If he couldn't tell them answers maybe something there could*

Emily sat there on the passenger seat, her hands were shaking, she was completely unaware that her knuces were tight in a fist on her lap. into the background she can hear Gabriel starting up the car's engine, it sounded smooth and new to the extent her breathing seem louder. Ofcourse, what would she expect from such an expensive car. She took a deep breath to try and calm herself, that's the only time her hands relaxed and loosened itself. It was red and sore.

That knife, the feeling it brings, it was dark, it felt like definite death lurked just behind you, ready to jump at you at any moment. And that man who attacked them, he spoke about the knife. Kill them in a way they'll really be dead? What does that even mean. To Emily it was like reading through a blank filled book. She couldn't make sense of everything, of anything. On why they were being followed, who wants them killed, why anyone wold even want them dead? Its an infinite layer of questions after questions.

"Someone wants us dead. Him, y-your friend up there is he like us? See. They killed him... They killed him w-with that."

Her voice was shaking as she spoke, she didn't take a single glance at Gabriel, she just let herself sob while staring out the window as the car roared the streets.

"I don't want to die..." She whispered as a tear fell from her eyes. Everything was so traumatic to the girl that she felt like it would leave impact on her.

"Not again...."

*She was afraid, of course she would be. Someone wanted to do harm to them both. This was something that swept them both out of nowhere. Hours ago he was in his current life, living as normal and as casually as he could. He was an intern at a hospital with debt up to his eyes for the next ten years. Now he was in a life or death situation with his wife's current reincarnation. He placed her in danger the first time around and it seemed that fate dealt them a similar hand. A part of him wanted to drop her off home, let her slip through the cracks possibly and maybe live a normal life again. She was shaking and crying. His heart tugged in his chest, the last thing he wanted to cause her was pain or suffering. He reached his hand out and held hers. He let a small sigh out as he lifted her hand to his lips and kissed it.*

"I'm sorry. Really I am. I don't know whats happening. Truth be told I don't know what to make out of any of this. I was hoping Jacob could shed some light. Yes he is lik..."

*He didn't know if he was really gone, he allowed himself a pause*

"He was like us. He knew more rather. How ever we work to remember things he did a lot. His health brought him to the hospital where I work. I felt the feeling we both felt before and I knew he was different. He has been helping me understand our kind and in turn I helped him the best I could with his health."

*She had called them friends. It always seemed to be a understanding but looking back it was more then they both agreed it would be.*

"He told me about his house out of the city limits. He said it was his real get away. He told me thats where he kept records and research. I want to go there quickly, and weather or not if we find or do not find if you want I will drop you home. Maybe it will be safer for you if didn't follow me. I don't know where this rabbit hole will take me."

*He let her and go for a moment and clicked the radio on, it clicked on to a soft mellow tune. He then returned his hand to hers.

An hour past by as the city turned to country. Houses began to become further from each other and bigger. He would give Jacob this, he used his power for his benefit. How ever he did it he became wealthy, very wealthy. It was apparent when they arrived to the house the navigation told them to stop. It was a mansion with a few acres on either end. The gate that stood in front was connected wirelessly to the car so on approach it opened. The land was beautiful and large. Gabriel looked a spot to stop and did so at the front door. A small breath and he was out of the car and around to open Emily's. He held his hand for hers again. They made their way to the door which was unlocked. Before them the house was large, it seemed to have not been used in some time as sheets covered the furniture. The floor was hard wood, the ceilings high and marble pillars.*

"Maybe upstairs?"

*Before Gabriel could move how ever he heard a shot gun load a round into the chamber with a click. *

"Thats far enough."

*From where the living room a woman voice ran. Foot steps followed as soon a woman in a black gown appeared, her face was smooth and unamused as the shot gun she had in her hand didn't move from them. Thats when Gabriel felt a familiar shock go through his body, she was not human either. First amazement and then confusing consumed him. He went to open his mouth but was interrupted when the woman stared confused at Emily. *

"Mother?"

Emily felt it again, the tingly warm feeling she felt when she first saw Gabriel at the café. The exact same sensation when this girl locked eyes with her. Emily started taking a few steps towards her, her hands extended out to reach her face. The girl in the black dress lowered her gun as Emily approached her, her lips were shaking. It was as if the girl wanted to speak but chose not to to stop herself from sobbing. Her lower waterline started to turn redish as tears started pooling. And to Emily's surprise her's was too.

Within a second more her skin touched the girl's face. It was smooth, and warm to the touch and an exasperated sigh escaped Emily's lips. Outside she was a stranger to Emily's current life. Though inside Victoria swooned to her feet in happiness as she felt her son from within this girl.

"Oh my god." Emily whispered before pulling the girl close to a tight embrace, her eyes closing as she felt her warmth against her. For a while she can feel the gun there against her stomach, but then she heard it fall to the ground as the girl hugged her back.

Their embrace lasted nearly 10 seconds till they slowly both pulled away and locking their gaze to each other. Emily's hands were on both side of the girl's cheeks. It is Tommen, her hair with the soft curls on the end, rosy cheeks, and her eyes. Maybe at first she couldn't recognzie her but now she certainly does. A female version of Tommen. That's the exact way to point her out.

"Tommen." Emily whispered again softly, a smile on her face. For a while she wasn't the girl in her current life. She felt like she was Victoria again, a mother who loved her children very much.

The girl responded with a nod, her eyes were still on Emily's when it darted to the man behind her. Then her eyes widened even more. Her eyes squinted as she looked at the man, the sensation she felt when she saw Emily was present within him too.

"Father." She called out. Emily turned around and gave the girl passage to Gabriel as now they both faced him. Then the girl walked towards him too, her steps slow, almost as if she was sneaking. Her quiet steps sounded loud from within the silent mansion's wall.

Then her hands wrapped around Gabriel's neck too, tight at first but slowly loosened before she pulled away completely to glance at Emily again.

"I'm Cassandra..." The girl said with a small smile growing on her pink lips.

*it was too much. This day was something out of a novel. Things like this don't happen even in a life like theirs. Gabriel did all he could to not get swept in the wash of emotions that nearly consumed his foggy head. They were both different. One in a extreme case more then the other. But as they stood there hugging one another it was like the day he left them alone. It was the last time he would see them. His body and soul didn't know how to feel. All he knew is how his heart broke inside and yet raised. His loss was restored before him. Tears filled his eyes as he saw his child walk slowly towards him. He barried his face deep into her neck. He allowed himself one moment of weakness as he poured his emotions out. The day he first held him in his arms was equity just as sweet.*

"Cassandra. What is all this? How? I don't know. Are we actually here?"

*gabriel put his hand over his mouth. It was all he could do to keep his sanity. It all turned for not when she looked at them in wonder*

"How are you here? Did Jacob bring you? Where is he?"

*the raw wound was scraped clean. He didn't know how to proceed. Gabriel looked to Emily for support. He didn't know their situation if any.*

"Well. Actually this is why we are here. See. Jacob. Cassandra, Jacob is gone."

*what he thought would be sadness was not present on her face. If anything she smiled as she kissed him gently on his forehead before walking towards the stair case. She picked the gun up and nodded them over. *

"There is much we need to talk about. And even more I must show you"

*she made her way up the stairs. Gabriel rushed over to Emily. His eyes concerned as he paused before walking*

"Do we tell her? I mean that Jacob might actually be gone for good?"
