In the outskirts of Fillydelphia, lies a seaside village known as Fisher's Catch. This village is moderately known for the wild fish market, obviously, and is a go-to place to get the best saltwater swimmers. About a month ago, something strange and frightening passed over the village's air. A large black cloud of fog had delivered illness to the residents of the calm village and left just like that.
Most had wild side effects, like seizures, random blackouts, high fevers, and numerous others. After a week had passed, you begin to notice ponies stopping dead in their tracks, whispering something incoherently, and dropping dead on the dirt roads. This, of course, cause a national panic and caught the attention of the two rulers, Princess Celestia and Luna. Scientific members of the community traveled to Fisher's Catch to investigate what was going on, bringing some hope to the victims of the disease, but unfortunately caught the illness themselves, also proving it was contagious. This prompted the Princesses to close off the village until something could be done. The tall wooden barriers were laced with a special spell to keep Pegasi and Unicorns from escaping using their abilities.
You and a handful of others discover you have not caught the disease and try to alert the guards outside the fence, but they relentlessly ignore you. Determined, you all plot to escape and search for a solution for the cure, facing many threats and dangers on your path.
