Realistic or Modern Soggy Clothes and Breezeblocks

As Jaden spoke, Taylor shifted a bit, uncomfortable. He sounded so normal right now. Why did he have to do that? It was so much easier to deal with this situation when his captor didn’t show his humanity. He has a nice voice, doesn’t he? Taylor couldn’t help but think to himself. And he isn’t too bad on the eyes… kinda sucks that everything else is so… insane.

He tried to recall what exactly Jaden had said with that nice voice of his, and almost drew a blank. He didn’t even want to think what that might have caused. He remembered, however, the man mentioning pizza, so after a second’s pause he said, “Pizza sounds good.”

Maybe when they stopped for food he could find a way to get away...

"I'll get you pizza. You can come with me." He took the next exit to the rest station. It was a fair sized facility, nicer than most he's seen in his life. The car was parked well enough in the back where it wouldn't get noticed so he could untie his captive.

"Behave yourself baby boy. If you're good maybe you can sit in the front seat with me." His tone was gentle as it typically was under most circumstances. Jaden released the boy's bindings and removed the blindfold so he could step out the car. It would be too troublesome to just leave him alone in the car but it could prove to be more trouble not to. "Let's hold hands. I like holding hands." He didn't leave room for objection since his hand was already locked around Taylor's. The raven-haired man loved affection, craved it, since he never receives it much. Jaden led them both inside to the cool air conditioned building filled with happy travelers and tired truck drivers. The pizza shop was located adjacent to the entrance so that was the first stop. "Tell them what you want."

Is he really going to let me come with him? Taylor asked himself, disbelieving. Didn’t he understand what a risk that was? Even more, Taylor’s mind raced. Maybe I’ll have a chance to escape…

This thought quickly fled his head as Jaden spoke to him. He sounded so gentle, so calm… It was hard to believe he had kidnapped Taylor at times. That troubled him quite a bit, and so he didn’t say anything. He didn’t want to sit in the front seat. He wanted to go home.

He blinked the sudden brightness out of his eyes as the blindfold was removed, carefully maneuvering himself out of the car, squinting as he used the door handle to steady himself.

Of course, then his hand was being grabbed, and he couldn’t help but try to tug his hand away, frowning. He didn’t want to hold hand with his kidnapper- of course he didn’t. Who would?

As they entered the air conditioned building, Taylor couldn't help a shiver. He looked around, and considered screaming… and then he looked down at the hand wrapped around his quite firmly.

They'd be out of here in an instant, and Taylor would still be hungry. Was it worth it to try? What would the consequences be? He shivered again, this time for very different reasons.

He almost missed what Jaden said, head snapping up to look at Jaden warily as he processed what had been said.

Then, he swallowed, turning to the girl taking his order. “Uh… Cheese pizza, please,” he finally said, quiet.

"I'll take mine with green peppers please." Jaden did have some manners despite his rather uncaring attitude. The kind woman gave them a total which Jaden paid in full with cash and was informed it'll be fifteen minutes. He thanked her kindly before dragging the little one along to sit down somewhere. The place was fairly crowded and most of the available seats were taken but, he managed to find a small table with only two seats up against a wall. He sat down across the small table and looked to Taylor to do the same.

"I apologize that I hadn't thought of feeding you earlier. Thank you for being so patient with me.. I'm... new to this love thing..." His more sensitive side was showing as he felt ashamed about never having anyone in his life. He loved this boy more than anything and believed opening up to him would make him feel better about it. "I just love you so much that it hurts inside when you're not with me. You'll always be with me now though right? You won't ever leave me?" His voice became more erratic as his eyes widened. As sinister as it may have looked Jaden was more pleading than anything. He was desperate to have his approval and even more desperate to hear that someone wanted him. His breath quickened looking to the handsome boy who seemed to get more attractive every time he laid eyes on him.

Taylor was bothered. How could he not be? To outsiders, it must have looked like he and Jaden were truly together. The thought made him sick, but that didn’t change that it was true, no matter what the roiling in his stomach might prefer. He let himself be dragged regardless, thinking through the ways things could go wrong if he messed this up. Jaden looked strong- could he snap his neck? Did he want to find out? If he tried to run, would the patrons swarming the restaurant make it easier or simply be a hindrance?

He sat when directed to, fingers doing a quick tap across the surface of the table out of nervousness as he frowned, eyes glued on his captor. Jaden spoke to him, and again, he seemed so normal. Then he had to go and use the l word. Taylor's frown deepened in distaste as he thought about saying something about that- How could he love him? He barely knew him!- but thought better of it as Jaden kept speaking, and the illusion of normalcy again melted away. His stomach sank as he looked at the man, already shaking his head as he grinned nervously. "Of course I won't. Why would I ever leave you? You're- You're-" Words. He needed words. Words that would appeal to Jaden, keep him safe.

"You're kind, feeding me..." He knew what he should say, and the words tasted bitter on his tongue as they passed through his mouth and into the air around the pair. "You love me. Why wouldn't I stay?"

The older raven's heart skipped a beat hearing those words he so desperately wanted. Taylor was a good choice, knew exactly what to say to make him calm down. His pink lips muttering anything to stay alive were all Jaden could think about sometimes when he was alone. The boy was just so perfect in his eyes. His tension cleared from the fear of losing his young lover to the world around them.

"I'm so glad. I love you dearly my prince, I just want to engulf you in my affections." His eyes softened, the sudden transition from deranged to jolly was one he couldn't quite control. Jaden's emotions had been rather unstable from a young age but his parents didn't love him enough to attempt solving the problem. In fact, they feared his unsteady disposition and figured he would eventually turn on them. After a few scraps and some yelling the young male left to never return home. Contrary to their belief, he's been doing quite well for himself.

"Here you two are. Enjoy the meal."
The young woman brought their food to the table instead of calling them across the busy station. Her gentle smile was one of a true waitress as she left them to their pizza.

"Doesn't this look good? Make sure you eat up. We won't stop again until we get to our new home." Jaden spoke plainly taking up a slice of his pizza to be devoured. It was hot, almost an intense burning sensation, in his mouth but he found the pain refreshing.

Taylor’s shoulders relaxed as the situation was diffused, but he kept the act up just in case, smiling despite the flip of his stomach as he was called not only a prince, but Jaden’s prince. He didn’t want to be Jaden’s anything. He didn’t want his love, or his affection- He just wanted to be back home, back when his biggest worry was what he was going to do over the weekend. But that wasn’t an option. What was he supposed to do but play along?

He couldn’t have even been reported missing yet.

Taylor was pulled from his thoughts by the arrival of food, and he glanced up at the waitress, catching sight of her smile. He smiled back, watching her walk away. Personally, he found her kinda attractive, especially with that gentle smile spread across her face. He nodded as Jaden spoke, still watching, then turned back around, looking down at his food.

“It does look good…” he agreed, eyes flicking up to Jaden as he took a bite of his pizza. Assuming this meant the pizza was a reasonable eating temperature, Taylor took a bite of his own- and nearly dropped it, making a surprised noise as he hunched over his plate. It was not a reasonable eating temperature, but he struggled through the bite, chewing and eventually swallowing.

He made sure to blow on his pizza before trying that again.
