I'm doing something different this time around and making a thread for my characters rather than for fandoms,plots, etc. This might get traction, it might not but I thought why not try lol. That being said, I will list the genres preferred for the characters though some of them can cover multiple areas. Ones that are nonnegotiable will be in bold.

  Hello there fellow roleplayers! My name is CaptainMarvelous, or you can call me Marvel. So you want to know some about me eh? I am a female in her 21st year going to school for Creative Writing (big surprise lol). Now on to more specific topics relating to roleplays!
  
  Being a writer, I can write multiple paragraphs for a response. Note the word can. If you're the type of person who only writes a paragraph or two, no biggie! I'm fine with adjusting to whatever style my partner has. Just absolutely no one liners please.
  
  I prefer to play females unless we are doubling. Then I am happy to play a male and female. I just don't do well with playing a main male character only. Along with this, the only pairing I won't do is MxM.

  Expectations sounds harsh, but I promise they're not as bad as they sound. I have just a few things to help me in determining whether a partner will be a good match or not. So let's start off with something I'm okay with.
  
  I don't mind what age my partners are, if you're a good rp partner then that's what matters more to me.
  
  The probably obvious expectation, no one liners. They don't move the rp anywhere. If you're at the point where you feel you can write no more than that...we probably have a problem with the rp.
  
  One item I have to be picky about: grammar. I've realized that over time I will tend to focus more on the bad grammar than the rp. Not fun for you, not fun for me. Some small mistakes are fine obviously, but if you consistently use the wrong their/there or your sentences don't make sense grammar wise...well let's just say we probably won't be rping together, sorry. For my own sanity, I have started requesting writing samples to get an idea of your writing beforehand.
  
  Last thing! This is more of an encouragement than an expectation. Don't be afraid to let me know if you're no longer interested in an rp. I hold no judgment if you tell me you're just not interested anymore. I get that, tastes change suddenly and something you were interested in now seems boring.

  Background:
  
  Oh boy, are you ready for the terrible ride that is Mia Hendricks life? Born to a wealthy noble family in the 12th century, she grew up with an older brother and twin sister. When she was 12, her older brother died making her the new heir to the family's fortunes. Along with this meant an arranged marriage when she was 16 to a Brendan Kosher. The marriage seemed promising, but her new husband was not what he seemed. Shortly after their marriage, her parents were found dead making Brendan Kosher the new Lord of Ellington. A few years later, to Mia's horror, her sister Ever was charged with treason and hanged. Now she was alone facing the brutality of her husband's wrath and control. He abused her for many years, keeping her isolated within the manor until he decided he had no more use for her. A peaceful dinner turned into a last meal when he poisoned Mia. She was reborn, however, as a Dark Angel with the added powers of a species called the Unknown making her more powerful than any other Dark Angel before. While she hated her newfound power at first, she came to appreciate it and accept her eternal life. And after a series of events she became Queen of the Dark Angels. There is much much more to learn about her, do you dare to try?
  
  
  
  Personality:
  
  Mia is independent and secretive. Her true nature is often hidden from others as she puts on the mask needed to be Queen. She's often considered to be cold and calculating. She's dangerous and harsh, one has no idea what she'll do next. She has no patience for other species, but for some reason has an affinity for human life despite their lower intelligence. When someone gets close to her, however, they'll soon find that she's broken. She tries to help her people as much as she can because she cannot help herself. She has a thirst for knowledge that can never be quenched and has immense control when it comes to her powers. Mia is certainly a deep and multi-layered personality.

  Age: Mid 20s
  
  
  
  Background:
  
  Hera grew up as part of a wealthy family and was set to join the family's marketing business, but she instead went to school for journalism. She worked at a newspaper for several years before accidentally getting involved in something she shouldn't have. She left her home city and her job to get away and start over. After joining another newspaper in her new home, however, she started getting involved in more illegal activities. Her family had actually had ties to the mafia and gangs within the city before, but she had always avoided it until moving. While not explicitly a criminal, she does serve some of these members.
  
  
  
  Personality:
  
  Hera comes across as harsh, cold, and maybe even cruel. Most comments she makes about a person are, well, not kind. She is fiercely loyal, however, and would do anything for her friends and family. Even if that means killing. She is a hard worker and strict with anyone who works under her. To friends and family, she can be a flirt, funny, and very caring. Though she is still unafraid to tell them the truth when they need to hear it.

  Hera is best known for her style. She wears strictly black clothing and changes her hair color every other week.

  Age: It depends, but usually in 20s
  
  
  
  Background:
  
  Danielle's parents were not good people and did not raise her appropriately. Eventually, they both passed away within a short period of time. The parents of Danielle's best friend at the time took her in immediately. They had already been trying to shelter her at their house and it was a quick adjustment for the young girl. After graduating high school, her boyfriend helped her to buy her own garage and start her own business, He unfortunately passed away though leaving her bitter and angry with the world.
  
  
  
  Personality:
  
  Danielle is an artist as well as a mechanic. She does car decals and paint jobs as well as fixing them, so really a jack of all trades. She doesn't trust people easily, not wanting to let anyone else in after her boyfriend passed away. She's tough and doesn't take kindly to other people's bull-.   (Her background is very malleable to suit whatever needs for the plot)
  
  Alexia's parents died when she was six in a house fire. She spent two years living with a family friend who fostered her until another family wishing to adopt her took her in. This family was the Knights. At the time she was adopted, the family consisted of two older boys Jason and Mark and the only legitimate child of Heath and Tony, a girl named Emmy. The family continued to expand too. When Alexia was ten, they adopted two boys named Patrick and Derek who were the same age. And at the age of twelve, they adopted a girl named Marabelle. Two years later, Heath and Tony divorced separating the family in two. Jason and Mark chose to stay with Tony. The others went to live with Heath (can be changed). After the divorce, Heath continued to devote herself to taking in children and adopted a baby girl named Sophia. Alexia prefers to live with her father as he remained on the family farm. She enjoys farm life and riding horses.

  Alexia can be a shy person at times, but she is very caring especially towards her younger siblings. She is known to be stubborn seeming to have taken on the traits of her adoptive father. She is determined and devoted to her family, horses, and the farm. At school, she is known to be pretty popular and a friendly person.

  Background:
  Many years ago, a powerful devil made his way to the mortal plane and fell in love with a human. Despite all odds, the two were able to have a happy marriage and were eventually blessed with a child: Zelonath Vensta, a tiefling. Several years after the birth of their daughter, however, the devil was forced to return to the Nine Hells and leave his family behind. He was able to provide for them still and they lived a rather elevated lifestyle because of this. Eventually, Zelonath was enrolled in a highly esteemed school of magic where she quickly excelled thanks to her parentage. Her relationship with her father is somewhat shaky though. Since he left when she was young, she has seen very little of him. He showers her with gifts though, one in particular is a fiend familiar named Azus who is commonly seen in the form of a crow. He offered at one time to become her patron and provide her with magic, but she refused. She does not hate him, but she does acknowledge there is some awkwardness between them.
  
  Personality:
  Comparatively, Zelonath is nothing like her parents. For a devil, her father is very well natured and very jovial. Her mother is much the same way. Zelonath on the other hand, is very serious, studious, and calculating. She will pore over every detail and will carefully analyze a situation before making any decisions. She is also very confident, having built up some thick skin over the years what with her parents being an unusual match and her own appearance making her stand out to others. But, she can be a very understanding person and holds a lot of empathy for people with rough pasts or unfortunate circumstances.
