So how does a newbie find an rp?

I'm a little intimidated by group RPs and paragraph long RPs.


Is there a way I can easily find some 1 on 1, newbie friendly RPers?

You can search for 1x1 roleplays in the 1x1 interest checks.There, you will be able to find various kinds of users, all looking for a partner to write with, or a specific plot to do. You will see different kinds of prefixes there, which I believe are quite self-explanatory.


You may also browse the actual 1x1 forum for some roleplays that are open. But I recommend going to the former first, for most of the roleplays in the 1x1 forum are usually closed.


What is an interest check, you might ask? It is a thread wherein you put the plot of your desired roleplay, and more details if you want to, and see if anyone would be interested in partaking in it. You can also use BBcode to create different designs that not only make your posts look pretty, but can also organize them for a clearer way of reading. Using such usually catches the eyes of many, for some strange reason. To create an interest thread, simply click the "create new thread" button in the specified section where you think your rp belongs. I will be linking you to the said section below.
