Baron widened his eyes. Class had started while he was distracted. He felt a little bad about fighting, but he assumed Luke or the other man were gym teachers, so he shrugged it off. Playing with his top hat in one hand, he stood in the line everyone was starting to form. Flipping the brim between his fingers, he heard the teacher's harsh words and rocked back and forth on his heels, trying not to act nervous. The Fabulous Emerald

A what? Detention was a new word. He didn't quite understand the whole line thing either. Although... OH! wait... Any time a line was formed in the sea it was to make a big enough wave to shove some poor creature off the ice... maybe that's what they were doing. He wondered off on to the end of the line, fins twitching in slight anticipation. Luckily he had overlooked to gun.

He'd seen plenty of those. He knew to fear people with those things. The very little time Jace spent in that lab was enough to scar him for life. Hell it'd probably be enough to spark one violent fight.

"And what if you go against someone who has anti-magic? Or magic that neutralizes your own?" He says to the girl who, admittedly, he was surprised had the bollocks to raise a hand. He liked that. Detention.

Fallon wasn't gonna give up that easily. She knew he was going to say that anyway. "Yes, I see where you're coming from, sir, but most of us would like a class, need a class that teach us how to use our powers effectively first before we get into this kind of combat, sir." She spoke with experience, because she hadn't ever fought on the streets with her powers in case someone came wandering by and saw. That's why she didn't know much magic or wasn't trained well. She only knew how to fight slightly with magic because one of her old street friends, Alexa, had been a gifted child, too. The two sparred in the sewers while the city slept. Now that her mind wandered to Alexa, she fought tears back. "Sir, I only ask for the benefit of the class." Her voice started to waver, but it still cut through the classroom like a knife in butter.

He had blocked the blows before freezing. Looking over as he dropped the spear. Letting it vanish mid fall. Walking over to line up before raising an eyebrow. "Ah...I'm sorry about that sir...Another teacher actually told us to do that..."

"First I need to know how capable you all are in standard combat before we get into the more complicated side of fighting with abnormal powers - your strength, stamina etcetera. After that, I could train you all how to combine it with your powers to be more battle worthy. Simply firing everything you have at an opponent won't do it in most cases, and neither will untrained combat. In short, I plan on teaching you how to fight without your powers before you fight with them." He says, somewhat calming down now.

After Kitsune finished the song she stopped and her shadow returned to her. Opening her eyes when she smelled the strawberries her face flushed bright red, realizing someone had been watching her. "S-Sorry was I playing too loudly? Or was it that I was doing a bad job at it?" Laughing nervously as she held the bow and violin at her sides.

Elch shook his head and motioned for her to continue. "It sounded fine. Just unexpected. However I do have to ask what class are you supposed to be in?" Elch asked. He took a drag of his cigarette and calmly walked towards her.

"This guy is interesting," She whispered to him. I might need to watch my back around him, Fallon thought to herself. Or maybe he'll be the best teacher I'm gonna have here. She kept doodling on Smoke's notebook, waiting to get her partner.

Vyra stood silently with the class. Listening to everyone speak to the teacher while she explained what she planned to do for the class. She was a little unhappy about actually having to fight but sadly she had to listen to her teacher

Smoke nodded and went back to studying the teacher. He especially that he was aggravatable, and did not like being questioned. Smoke was alright when it came to non magic combat his brother taught him how to use a spear but that was about it.

Kage nods, then coughs loudly. "Right, pair up while I think of weapons to give you." He says, as he teleports to the back of the room to look at a box of indistinguishable sticks or something. Due to the size of the gym hall they were in, it was difficult to tell from the distance they were.

Looking around, Baron was a little out of his element. 'No swords? Or powers? Well, that complicates things.' He thought. He didn't know the extent of anybody's physical abilities, but at least he had all of his knowledge from the circus, for a very versatile 'playbook' so to speak. He looked around the crowd a little more, not knowing if he should call anyone out. Would be quite rude to just challenge someone. So, he waited, twirling his top hat some more.

Christine walked through the halls with a small backpack full of clothes on her back and Reap flying next to her holding her dorm key. Any of her other things were sent in ahead and should already be in her dorm. "This place is big. I wonder how many people go her", she said to Reap," Do you like this place?" Reap looked at her and meowed in a cheerful tone as he flew around her head. "Ha ha. I guess that is a yes", she giggled.

After putting all of her things away, she headed for her first class. She had no idea where it was so it took her a while to find it. Though a part of her wished that she hadn't because when she arrived the teacher said something about weapons. She decided it was best to sneak in not making herself known and maybe someone would pick her as a partner.

Vyra smiled a little as she looked to zoltar who stood next to her. Figuring it would be good she spoke. "W-want to pair up zoltar?" She asked him softly as she looked at him. Wondering if he had any physical combat training

Zoltar looks back at her as she speaks to him. "Erm...sure, I guess. At least we'd hold back on each other." Then, he grins mischievously as he takes his jacket off and throws it to the side. "Winner decides where we go on our date?" Zoltar was deceptively well built for what society considers a nerd - after all, it isn't easy working with machinery and metal all day, and his diet was good too. While his muscles aren't big, they are visible through his black shirt. His jacket was heavy and somewhat restricting, so he decided not to wear it.

Fallon looked at Smoke. She knew that she wanted to partner up with him, but it would best if she didn't, so that way she could get a feel for the class. "Hey, Smoke?" she started quietly, then explained this to him. "Would that be okay with you?" She really did want to be his partner, but it wasn't the smartest thing to do, in this case. She also didn't want him to get pummeled by some random stranger, but based on the battle the two had had before, she wasn't too worried. But then again, they weren't using their powers. She waited for an answer.

Vyra giggled just a little as she watched him take his jacket off. "I say we go all out. I'd like to see what you are really capable of." She said to him as she grabbed his hand and pulled him along to the area they would Possibly spar at. She figured this was the place because it was a softened mat with a big white circle surrounding the center

The Siren yawns, although he thought Luke told him to sit out.Whatever that meant. His fins twitch for a moment before completely forgetting he was supposed to be standing still and wondering about 10 feet to the left, finding a rather odd occurance. One of those electrical sockets thats on the ground caught his attention but he couldn't tell what it was due to the metal plating over it. Jace could just feel the electrical impulses coming off it and got curious.

Smoke smiled and nodded. "Go ahead. I don't mind. As long as we catch up." He said getting up and looking at everyone else. He wondered for a moment who'd partner up with him.

"Thanks," Fallon said. She walked over to the tall guy with gray hair in the back that was wearing a fancy suit and some swords behind his back. She introduced herself and asked for his name. "So... this partner thing..." she started.

"I'm not really sure to be honest, I overslept a bit this morning and didn't wake up until a few hours ago so..." laughing nervously as she put her violin back in its case. "I'm not going to get into trouble for this am I?" Kitsune asked as she leaned back against the tree playing with her hair.
