Slippery Scales of Decipet

(If you like.)

"Ah, I see. Alright, let's get going, then." Emma replied, taking her stick in a firm grip before heading outside.

After many audorus hours of training, he slowly was getting hte handle of blocking blows. He looked at her and whispered, "I think... I thjink that... it's about time... we calm down and rest."

Emma nodded "Good idea." She replied, coiling her tail up underneath her to sit on it "You seem to be getting the hang of this rather well. Better than I would've reasonably expected from when we first met, anyway."

He blinked rpaidly, "I-I normally... normally try hard to work at it. I spent a few hours last night practicing." He looked down and yawned.

"Ahh, well, that explains it then. Keep working like that and we may not even need the whole two weeks to get you up to speed." Emma said, chuckling a little at just how different the two sides of Aaron were. He looked like a simple, weak Human, but his dedication was really something else.

Aaron sta down beside her on a log, resting himself. He patted beside him, "You know... I actually feel... I mean I should be terrified. I shouldn't be so at east but... I mean... with you I actually feel rather calm and normal."

Emma laughed a little bit as Aaron explained this to her, and shook her head "You're a strange one, you know that? It's been four days and you're already talking like we're friends." She said. She had to admit, she was starting to feel that way, too. But there was no way she was mentioning that out loud.

He nodded and stood up, "Let's get back, we can go ahead and set up the charis for you, then we can go and do some other stuff." He helped her sit up and walked with her.

Emma nodded back and stood up as well. As they walked through the forest, Aaron heard the Lamia's stomach growl "Oh. Silly me, we've been so busy training, I forgot to grab my meal for the next few days."

Aaron blinked rapidly and he slowly pressed himself against her, "Oh... do we need to go get your some food?" He gulped, "I-I.. uh..."

Emma nodded "Yep. Something like, I don't know, a deer would be fine for a while. Let's go find one, shall we?" She asked, before looking around to see if there were any signs of animals nearby.

"I might sit this one out first." He said calmly, though in his mind he was pnaicking. He wasn't surw how tto catach and animal. He'd tried to kill her... but that wasn't even intentional...

"Hmm, well, if you insist. You still have ten days until your test, after all, no need to rush anything yet. Go ahead back to the cave, I'll catch my dinner myself." Emma replied, heading off into the forest. She wasn't paranoid that he would run anymore, due to his sticking around last night.

He nodded and went to the cave, sitting down and laying on the bed. He groaend, "What am I going to do..." He curled into the pillows.

Eventually, Emma returned to the cave, and found Aaron in the bed, curling up around the pillows "...Aaron?" She called to him, slithering over.

Aaron looked down and he didn't asnwer her at all. He groaned and pulled the blanket over himself, not wanting to tlak to her. He barely knew what he wanted anymore.

"Hey, Aaron... What's wrong?" Emma asked, as he pulled the covers over himself "Did something happen?"

Emma blinked, and climbed into the bed with him "Well, alright... Good night, then, Aaron." She said, not bothering to wrap her tail around him this time. It wasn't necessary anymore, and something told her he didn't really like her right now for some reason.

He cuddled her tail, but it wasn't as tight or as passionate as it normally was. He groaned and slowly fell asleep, sighing a little bit.

The next morning, Emma got out of bed and started picking fruits off of the trees just outside her cave while she waited for Aaron to wake up.

"I'm out here!" Emma called as she heard him calling for her. She grabbed one more fruit before heading inside, tossing Aaron an apple "Here, catch."

"I figured, you must've been mad at me last night for some reason, so I thought I'd bring you a peace offering." Emma explained, setting the rest of the fruits she gathered on the table.
